II

Hellooooooooo xD I didn't say this before but this takes place in America. If u don't live in America, then have them live in ur hometown ;)

Anne loves his son to bits and pieces and would always be there for him. Even if his older sister, Gemma, has problems of her own - she always makes time for her son. No matter what she's doing, she will always drop everything to listen and give advice. Or, if he just wants love, she'll give him loads of it.

Moms are full of it.

Harry was having difficulty controlling his feelings when he's around Louis. He tries not to flirt too much with his best friend but sometimes words just slip out. Harry doesn't mean for it to come out, it just does. He doesn't think before speaking sometimes.

"Mom, I need help with something." Harry called from upstairs. He was doing homework, but that's not what he needs help with. Anne wipes her hands on a towel and turns the stove down on low before going up the stairs.

Anne walks in and sits on Harry's bed, careful not sit on any papers. "What's wrong, sweetie? Do you need help on your homework? 'Cause I can't help, I don't remember algebra." She picks up a worksheet that's for English, instead.

Harry shakes his head. "Mom, no I don't need help. And I'm in AP Calculus, not algebra. And-" he takes the worksheet from his mom's hands and sets it beside him, "that's not math. I'm doing English. Look, I didn't call you up here to discuss my classes and homework."

"Okay, then, what's up?"

"I almost told Louis that I liked him today in gym."

"Did he notice your stuttering and your red face?" Anne placed her delicate hand on her son's shoulder and rubbed it in a soothing manner.

"No. But I'm sure he knows I'm hiding something now. Gosh, why am I such a fuck up?" He fell back onto his pillows and covered his face with both hands. He groaned while uncovering his face, looking up at the ceiling.

"Oh, sweetie, you aren't. Just try not talking about it. Or crushes for that matter. If he tries to, change the subject unnoticeably." Harry nodded at his mom's advice. Anne kissed his forehead and went back to making dinner.

Harry took in Anne's words and thought them over. He will try to change the subject, but he'll probably mess up and then Louis will definitely know something is up.
-
"Harry, I'm telling you, Stephanie and Luke make such a cute couple. It's a shame that she's cheating on him." Louis drank his chocolate milk. It was lunch time and Louis is still blabbing about Stephanie and Luke and Jessie. That rumor was so three days ago.

"Lou, I love you and all, but for the love of god, shut up. That rumor was three days ago. I don't even think they're that cute of a couple. If anything, Luke and that Michael kid make a cute match. Don't you think, Lou?"

Louis shrugged. "I mean I guess. They're always hanging out when Luke isn't with his so-called girlfriend. And they do flirt a lot, but I'm not sure if it's playful. Luke sounds so serious when he does." Harry smirked.

"See? What if they're fuck buddies? What if this whole time, Luke was the one cheating on Stephanie?" He poked his chest to express his theory further. He pondered the thought for a moment and pursed his lips.

"Hm, good point. I'll find out one way or another." They continued eating and talking until the bell rang for fifth period. They parted ways at Harry's locker, him having music appreciation and Louis having English.

In music appreciation they didn't do much but take notes on how really old people came up with the different types of musical notes and the A and C chord.

-

Harry was waiting on the front steps of the school for Louis. He had stay an extra thirty minutes after class because he was being disruptive. Typical Lou.

"Hey, Garry, right?" Harry looks up from his phone to see a blonde headed boy.

"Um, no. It's Harry," he chuckled nervously. He doesn't do well with meeting new people. He feels like it's too much pressure on him cause he thinks he has to make a good first impression otherwise it'll haunt him forever. "Who are you? If you don't mind me asking."

"The name's Niall. I find it kind of surprising that you don't know me. I'm in three of your classes."

"You are? I'm sorry, I didn't know. I don't pay much attention to my surroundings. My mom says I need to work on that more, otherwise I'd probably get kidnapped."

Niall didn't know whether to be amused or concerned.

"You shouldn't be concerned. I'll be fine." Niall sits next to him. Harry suddenly gets nervous. Does he have to talk to this guy? Hopefully, he will do all the talking cause Harry isn't a good conversationist when meeting people. He thinks he already screwed up with Niall, and he only told the blond his damned name.

"Why are you sitting here alone?"

"Well, its only been about fifteen minutes, but I was waiting for my friend. Do you know Louis? Yeah, he got in trouble and had to stay back for thirty minutes. Why are you here?" Niall made a face. "Sorry I -- if you don't want to tell me, it's fine."

He chuckled, "Nah, it's okay. I'm here cause my mom is late, she got held up at work." Harry nodded. The air was filled with silence, but neither minded. Harry surprised himself by that. He usually doesn't like silences, but this was an exception.

Even though they just met, Harry liked Niall's company. He thinks they will get along well, and maybe Louis will also like him. Then, Niall's phone started ringing. He got up and walked a few steps to talk privately. Harry heard the front doors to the school open, revealing Louis.

"Hey Harr." Harry stood up as Louis skipped down the steps to him. "Turn around." With no questions asked, Harry turned around. Louis made a grunting noise and hopped onto Harry's back.

"What the hell, Louis? Your legs don't work or something?" Harry gripped onto Louis's thighs and pushed him up so that Louis was secure on him.

"Nope, they hurt. Do you know how far my class is from the front doors? Too far."

"Lou, your class is down the hall."

"That's too far of a walk. I'm going to file a complaint later on. Can I come to your house?" Louis rested his chin on Harry's shoulder. Harry's face turned a bright red at the small action and it made his heart flutter.

Before Harry could answer, Niall over to him. "Hey Harry, thanks for waiting with me. Talk to you soon?" Harry nodded and smiled, which Niall returned and walked off to a blue truck.

"Who is that? Why were you talking to him?" Harry rolled his eyes at the dumb questions.

"That's Niall, I just met him. I suppose we're friends." Harry started walking across the parking lot to his car, Louis still on his back. Louis almost scoffed at the unspecific answer.

"Why were you talking to him?" Lou repeated.

"Well, he spoke to me first, and he was waiting for his mom while I was waiting for you. We didn't talk about much, just why we were waiting." He added the last part just in case, knowing Louis will ask what they talked about.

They made is to the car and got in, the doors being unlocked already. Harry drove to his house in silence, with the radio playing softly. There was minimum tension in the air, but only because of Louis. Harry doesn't seem phased at all about their conversation before, but Louis did.

Louis didn't know why he felt a pang of jealousy when he heard about Niall and Harry talking. Niall didn't seem like a bad guy, though. Maybe he just has a fear of being replaced. Yeah, maybe that's it. But then again, he knows Harry couldn't replace him. He's not trying to sound conceited or cocky, but he just knows. He knows Harry won't be able to find another best friend like him.

Louis just knows.

"Lou? We're here." Harry waved a hand in front Louis' face. Louis didn't say anything as he got out the small car and up to Harry's front door. Harry sat confused for a few seconds, thinking what the hell just happened. Something was wrong with his best friend and he intended to find out.

-

"C'mon, please Lou? Just tell me what's bothering you." Harry and Louis were in Harry's room playing the Xbox for about two hours now. And within those two hours, Harry was trying to get Louis to confess what was wrong with him. Louis just don't budge.

"No Harr. It'll upset you." And Louis was telling the truth. If he told his best friend that he thinks he's getting replaced will make Harry sad and possibly cry. However, Harry wasn't having it, any of it.

"I don't care, just tell me." Harry whispered in the shorter boy's ear. His hot breath made chills run down Louis' spine. Harry's big hand was rubbing Louis' thigh slowly. Louis' face started turning red and he willed himself not to get hard.

It's not that he's gay or likes Harry. It's just that it feels good and if anyone were to ever rub his thigh and whisper seductively into his ear, making chills down his spine, he'd react the same way.

"I-- I, it's nothing."

"Come on, Lou. Tell me."

"Fine. It's just, I got jealous when you were talking to Niall. I'm afraid that you're going to find a better best friend than me, replace me."

Harry sighed, running his long fingers through his hair. "Lou, I could never replace you. Besides, I'm too awkward to make new friends."

Louis chuckled, "That's true. I'm sorry, Haz."

"No need to be." They both smiled at each other. But then, something changed in Louis' eyes. It was like something finally clicked after so long. Harry couldn't describe what he saw. He just knows.

Unfortunately, Louis looked away, grabbing the controller from before. "Wanna play COD?" Harry just nodded, deciding not to think about it further. However, his mind said 'no, think about it.' and he couldn't focus on the game in front of him.

He usually beats Louis, but he was so caught up in his thoughts, Louis actually beat him. This went on for the rest of the day, Harry winning only three times out of ten games.

It was late when they finally finished with the console. Louis asked if he could stay the night, and Harry being Harry let him. Louis didn't have to text his mom, her already knowing where he is and always is.

When they laid in the bed, Louis couldn't sleep. His mind wasn't letting him. When he was staring at his best friend, he felt different. His stomach felt weird, and he tried ignoring it, but the feeling didn't go away. Louis really hoped it wasn't what he thinks it was. Louis didn't have feelings for his best friend. He couldn't. He wouldn't.

And, he'll make sure he never does.
