18. Because The Night

Aria got out of Damon's car and stared at the apartment building infront of her, "Aria!", hearing someone yell her name, caused Aria to turn around and come face to face with the person she was here to see.

"Jenna" Aria whispered, tears welling in the tribrid's eyes seeing Jenna after so long.

"I missed you so much" Jenna said, pulling Aria into a tight hug, "I'm so glad you finally decided to visit".

"I missed you to" Aria whispered.

"How long are you going to be staying?" Jenna asked, "I only want to know so I can plan everything, I have so much I want to do with you, so much I want to show you".

"I don't know yet" Aria admitted.

"That's fine" Jenna said, "We can talk about all the later, right now let me show you my apartment, where's your luggage?".

"Right here" Damon said, walking over to Aria and Jenna, with Aria's luggage in his hand, and Kol next to him.

"Damon" Jenna greeted, "You better be treating my niece right".

"I am" Damon assured.

"I believe we haven't met" Kol said, forwarding his hand, "I'm Kol".

"Klaus's brother" Jenna realised, shaking Kol's hand, "I've heard about you from Aria and Jer--", Jenna stopped mid-sentence, she knew what had happened at Mystic Falls, Liz had told her, and even though Jenna wanted to return, Liz assured her that it wasn't needed, that she had everything in control, and trusting her, Jenna stayed in New York City.

"Okay well, I believe this is where me and Damon leave you two" Kol said, quickly changing the subject after seeing Aria's blank expression when hearing Jeremy's name.

"You both still haven't told me where you guys are going" Aria said.

"We will tell you, if what we are here for works out" Kol said.

"Kol--".

"Ria", Damon grabbed Aria's wrist and made her face him, "This trip, is for you to take a break from Mystic Falls and it's problems, once we go back to Mystic Falls me and Kol will tell you everything, we promise, but for now, just stay here and spend some time with Jenna, clear your mind and just relax, okay?".

Aria sighed, "Just promise me, you guys aren't going to do anything that will get you both in trouble".

"I promise me and Kol will try to not get in any trouble" Damon said.

"I guess that's the best I'm getting" Aria said, "I love you".

Damon smiled and placed a kiss on Aria's forehead, "I love you too, now go".

Aria nodded, she turned to Kol, "Don't do anything stupid".

"You realise who your talking to right?" Kol teased.

"I know who I'm talking to, that's why I am asking you to not do anything stupid" Aria said, grabbing her bag.

"I'll try" Kol said, giving Aria a side hug, "Take care".

"Call us if anything happens" Damon said.

"You two need to relax, she's with me, she will be fine" Jenna assured.

"Jenna's right, I'll be fine, this is exactly what I need right now" Aria assured, "You both can leave now".

Kol and Damon nodded, after giving Aria one last glance, both the vampires sat in Damon's car and took off.

"Okay, now that those two are gone, how about some food?" Jenna asked.

"Pizza?" Aria asked, walking into Jenna's apartment building.

Jenna chuckled, "Obviously".

"Why didn't you tell Ri the real reason we came to New York?" Kol asked, as him and Damon walked the busy streets of New York City.

"She came to New York for a break, telling her about us looking for Katherine, is just going to make her worse not better" Damon replied.

Kol sighed, "I hate lying to her though".

"Technically, we didn't lie, we just didn't tell her the truth" Damon defended.

"That's not any better" Kol snapped, "Now remind me again, why do you think New York is going to help us find the bitch?".

"The vampire Katherine sent after Hayley is a friend of mine, he lived in the city" Damon replied, "Will got vampires fake identities, and I'm sure that Katherine was one of his clients".

"Question, are we looking for Katherine or the cure?" Kol asked curiously.

"Both" Damon replied, "We are going to find Katherine, get the cure from her, then kill her for killing the girl we both love immensely, and her and your best friend".

"Sounds like a plan" Kol said, just as Damon's phone beeped, indicating someone had sent him a message.

Damon took his phone out of his pocket, and the message on it, bought a small smile on his face.

"Who is it?" Kol asked curiously.

"Looks like Ria got a haircut" Damon replied, showing Kol the photo Aria sent him.

"She suits short hair" Kol complimented.

"She really does" Damon said, typing out his reply to his girlfriend.

"Why would Stefan call you?" Caroline asked, as she and Klaus entered the Boarding House, which was still messy because of the party Elena had thrown.

"That's what I would like to know" Klaus replied, "You didn't have to come here with me, you know".

"I don't trust Stefan" Caroline said.

"I think I can handle myself when it comes to Stefan" Klaus said, amused.

"But you won't be able to handle yourself when it comes to two immortal beings, who by the way, are way older then you" Stefan interrupted, walking over to Caroline and Klaus.

"What the hell are you on about?" Caroline asked confused.

"I think Silas and Damien are in Mystic Falls" Stefan replied.

Klaus and Caroline exchanged a look, they both knew all to well that Silas and Damien were in Mystic Falls, in fact, them, Rebekah and Elijah have been working hard to find them, but it was almost like after telling Kol and Damon how to save Aria, both the brothers just disappeared.

"So some blood went missing from a few hospitals" Klaus said, pouring himself and Caroline a drink, "What about Elena?".

"Yeah, your ex-girlfriend has lost her mind, how are you sure it isn't her?" Caroline asked, both Klaus and her having a silent agreement not to tell Stefan about Kol and Damon's interactions with the two immortal brothers.

"It's not Elena" Stefan defended.

"Well, let's say for a moment that it was Silas and Damien" Klaus said, "I'm struggling to see how this affects me".

"Look, both Silas and Damien want to die and be reunited with the girl they both loved" Stefan said, "But both of them are supernatural, if they take the cure and die, they get stuck on the other side".

"How Shakespearean" Klaus commented.

"But if they destroy the Other Side altogether, they can take the cure, die and pass on" Stefan continued, telling Klaus and Caroline things they already knew, "But in destroying it, every dead supernatural being will return to our side".

"My interest is piqued" Klaus said, "How do we stop them?".

"Bonnie said Silas needs to complete three massacres to do the spell" Stefan replied.

"Wait, Bonnie talked to Silas?" Caroline asked shocked, this was new to her.

Stefan nodded, "It was after all of you returned from the island, anyways, before Professor Shane died, he convinced the pastor to blow up the Council, next, he had you kill your hybrids, and now, they only need one more massacre, so that's what they are doing, we need to find them".

"Looks about right" Damon commented, as he and Kol entered Billy's bar.

"This is a horrible bar" Kol commented, looking around but hardly finding people.

"It's early" Damon defended, "Give it a couple hours and this place will be crawling with more punked out nihilists than you can eat in a decade, trust me".

"And how do you know all this?" Kol asked curiously.

"Because I spent most of the '70s here" Damon replied, "Factory was too clean, CBGBs was too high profile, but Billy's--Billy's was the underground of the underground".

"Seems like your 70s was fun" Kol commented, "Mine was spent lying in a coffin".

"Seems relaxing" Damon said sarcastically.

"Aria!" Jenna yelled, "You burnt the cupcakes".

"I didn't mean to" Aria defended, taking the burnt cupcakes out of the oven, "I got distracted".

"By what?" Jenna asked amused.

"The view" Aria admitted, "I was looking at your view, which by the way, is amazing, and I lost track of time".

"You and the kitchen, just don't get along, do you?" Jenna asked amused.

"That's not true" Aria defended, throwing the cupcakes in the bin.

"Sure" Jenna said sarcastically, "But now what do we do?".

"How about you show me how people in New York party?" Aria suggested.

Jenna smiled, "You're lucky we are in New York and not Mystic Falls, if we were in Mystic Falls I would never party with you".

"I know, you wouldn't want people to think your an irresponsible guardian" Aria teased, "But right now, we are in New York, no one knows you and no one knows me, they will never know that you were once my legal guardian, who is now partying with me".

"Fine" Jenna said, "Let's have a night that we both will never forget".

"Yes!" Aria cheered, jumping up and down, "Let's go get ready".

"You only have an hour" Jenna said.

"I'll be ready in less then a hour" Aria retorted, running to the guest room, just as her phone beeped.

Aria entered the room and took her phone out, a smile came over her face reading the message.

"Stop laughing Kol" Damon snapped.

"I'm sorry, but that's too funny" Kol laughed, "Your brother's best friend came to babysit you when you had your humanity off".

Before Damon could reply, someone walked over to them.

"Nice seeing you boys here".

Kol groaned, "You got to be kidding me".

"What the hell are you doing here Elena?" Damon snapped.

"A little birdy told me that you and Kol were in New York, and that to without Aria, so I thought, why not come here and give you both some company" Elena replied, a smirk on her face.

"We don't want your company" Kol snapped, "We don't like you, and we don't want to be in the company of the people we don't like".

"Kol, just ignore her, she will leave eventually" Damon said.

"I'd rather kill her" Kol said, glaring at the smug doppelganger.

"Relax Kol, I'm not here to create any trouble, I'm only here to have some fun" Elena said.

"Then go have fun somewhere that doesn't involve us seeing your face" Kol said.

"I want to find Katherine as much as you both do" Elena said, "So let me help".

Damon looked at Elena in confusion, "What do you want with Katherine?".

"The same thing you both want" Elena replied, "The cure".

"You want the cure?" Kol asked slightly shocked.

"I want it, so Stefan can't use it on me" Elena replied.

"We don't want your help" Damon said, "And we are not here to look for Katherine, we came to drop Aria off with Jenna, and now we are just getting drunk, we don't have time to go after your bitchy doppelganger".

"So both of you don't want to kill Katherine for killing Aria and Jeremy?" Elena asked, not believing the two vampires infront of her.

"Nope" Kol replied, downing his drink, "Aria's back, she will eventually bring Jeremy back, so we have no reason to go after Katherine".

"I don't believe you" Elena said.

"And we don't care" Damon said, "We are here to feed and while at the same time wait for Aria to be done with Jenna so we can all go back to Mystic Falls together".

"You drove all the way to New York City just to drop Aria off and feed on the local citizens?" Elena asked.

"Yeap" Kol replied simply.

"Now leave" Damon said.

"Fine" Elena said, "I guess I'll find Katherine myself, and make sure you both never find her".

"Go for it" Kol said.

"Oh I will" Elena said, walking away from the vampires.

"She's going to cause trouble" Damon said.

Kol groaned, "She really needs to get a hint that she's not wanted here".

"Where's Stefan?" Rebekah asked, as Klaus and Caroline walked over to her.

"Taking a small nap" Klaus replied, confusing his sister.

"Klaus snapped his neck" Caroline clarified, "He didn't want Stefan to find out what we know about Silas and Damien".

"Thank the bloody god, I'd rather not deal with him, ever" Rebekah said.

"I don't think anyone wants to deal with him" Caroline said.

"Hence why I snapped his neck" Klaus said.

"Why did you call me at Shane's office anyways?" Rebekah asked, slightly confused.

"Yeah, what are we even looking for?" Caroline asked, as Klaus opened the door to Shane's office, and the trio walked in.

"We know Shane was working with Silas, which means he was most likely helping him plan his next massacre" Klaus replied.

"Where?" Caroline asked, "On his evil villain to do list? Steal blood, perform three massacres, pick up dry cleaning?".

"Actually, not to nit pick, we evil villains usually use minions to pick up our dry cleaning, that sort of thing" Klaus replied, making Caroline chuckle.

"You're not funny" Rebekah said.

"Caroline will disagree" Klaus said.

"That's only cause she's in love with you" Rebekah blurted out, making both Caroline and Klaus look at her wide eyed.

"Rebekah!" Caroline yelled.

"What?" Rebekah asked, "It was going to come out one day".

Klaus looked towards Caroline, who was avoiding eye contact with him.

"Uh, I think I found something" Caroline said, changing the subject, and taking a book out of the shelf, "Symbolic Figures in the Dark Arts", Caroline placed the book infront of Klaus and Rebekah, "Didn't Shane tell Aria about expression triangles? Here", Caroline pointed to a page.

"In some schools of magic, such as Expression, human sacrifice can be used as a focus for power" Rebekah read, "It's rumored that the addition of two supernatural sacrifices compounds the mystical energy, creating an Expression Triangle".

"Humans, that's the council fire" Caroline pointed out, "Demons, Klaus's hybrids".

"What's the third?" Klaus asked.

"Oh, no" Caroline whispered, realising what the third sacrifice is, "It's witches".

"This is awesome!" Aria yelled, over the loud music, as her and Jenna entered the extremely busy club.

"I'm going to go get drunk!" Jenna yelled.

"I'm going to the dance floor!" Aria yelled.

"Enjoy!" Jenna yelled, as Aria went over to the dance floor.

As Jenna was making her way towards the bar, she bumped into someone, causing that person to drop their drinks.

"Dammit!".

"Kol?" Jenna said confused.

"Jenna?" Kol said, also confused, "What are you doing here?".

"Aria wanted to party, so I bought her here" Jenna replied, "What are you doing here?".

"Me and Damon wanted to have some fun" Kol lied, not telling Jenna about them being here to find a clue about Katherine's whereabouts, "Wait, where's Ri?".

"Right there" Jenna said, pointing towards the dance floor, where Aria was busy dancing, "Where's Damon?".

"He's--".

"Jenna?" Damon asked confused, walking over to Kol and Jenna, "What are you doing here?".

"Aria wanted to party" Jenna replied.

"Where is she?" Damon asked.

"Right there" Kol said, pointing towards the dance floor.

"I'll be back" Damon said, walking over to Aria.

"Take your time" Jenna said.

"No public sex!" Kol called out, making Damon give him the middle finger, while Jenna simply laughed.

Aria was busy dancing, when suddenly someone grabbed her wrist and pulled her against them.

"What the--Damon?" Aria asked shocked.

"Hey" Damon said.

"What are you doing here?" Aria asked confused.

"I'm here to dance with my amazing girlfriend" Damon replied, spinning Aria down and dipping her down.

"Are you stalking me, Mr. Salvatore?" Aria asked.

Damon pulled Aria back up, "Let's not forget Miss. Connor, I was here first, so if anything, I think you're stalking me".

Aria smiled, "You caught me, I couldn't stay away from you".

"Lucky for you, I can't stay away from you either" Damon said, placing a hand on the back of Aria's neck and pulling her into a kiss.

"I'm hungry!" Aria yelled, as her and Damon danced on the dance floor, while Kol and Jenna got drunk.

"Pick" Damon said, pointing to the swarm of people.

"Here?" Aria asked, a bit shocked.

"Yeap" Damon replied, his eyes landing on a blonde standing next to them, "Found someone", before Aria could say anything, Damon had speeded infront of the blonde girl, "Don't scream" he compelled, and without wasting a second he bit into the side of the girl's neck, eventually he separated from the girl's neck and looked at Aria, "You joining?".

Aria looked at Damon amused, but nonetheless, bit the other side of the blonde's neck.

Eventually, both Damon and Aria separated from the girl, after Aria healed and compelled the girl to leave, Damon pulled her closer to him, and started kissing her neck.

"What are you doing?" Aria whispered.

"Normal blood doesn't do it for me, not anymore" Damon admitted, "I need you".

"I need you to" Aria admitted.

Damon smiled against Aria's neck, and without wasting a second, he sank his teeth in Aria's neck, while Aria did the same to him.

After having fun with Damon on the dance floor, Aria decided to use the restroom, she was washing her hands, when suddenly she heard a voice, a voice she didn't think she will hear again.

"Aria".

Aria turned around in shock, "Mom?".

"Not quiet, I'm Damien".

"What do you want?" Aria asked, "And why are you wearing my Mom's face?".

"You're in danger" Damien replied, "You need to get out of here right now, they are coming for you".

"Whose coming for me?" Aria asked confused.

"Bonnie and Silas" Damien replied.

"Why will Bonnie and Silas come for me?" Aria asked, not believing the man infront of her.

"To use you as bait for the third massacre" Damien replied.

"The third massacre?" Aria asked confused.

"My brother is using Bonnie to complete the expression triangle, he wants to destroy the other side so he can take the cure and die, and reunite with Adriana" Damien replied.

"The girl you both loved" Aria realised, making Damien nod, "Why are you protecting me? What do you want from me?".

"For the past two thousand years, I've been watching mine and Adriana's descendants unite then get brutally separated, I don't want that to happen again with you and Damon" Damien replied, "I'm just trying to help you Aria, let me help you survive my brother".

Aria sighed, "Fine, I'll trust you, just answer my one question".

"Which is?" Damien asked.

"Did you kill her?" Aria asked, "Did you kill Adriana?".

Damien gave Aria a small smile, "And how did I know that would be your question".

"You and Adriana were soulmates, right?" Aria asked, "Soulmates don't hurt each other, so you didn't kill her, right?".

"Aria, you need to go, now" Damien said, ignoring Aria's question.

"You're avoiding the question" Aria observed.

Damien sighed, "Look Aria, we are running out of time, you need to go, now, I will answer all your questions when we meet again".

"And when will that be?" Aria asked.

"Sooner then you think" Damien replied, "Now go".

Aria sighed, but nonetheless nodded, she quickly walked out the bathroom, she immediately started looking for Damon, Kol or Jenna, but for some reason all three of them were missing, she turned around to see if Damien was behind her, only to bump right into Elena.

"You got to be kidding me" Aria snapped.

"Hey Aria" Elena said, smirking.

"What the hell are you doing here Elena?" Aria asked confused.

"Distracting you" Elena replied, confusing Aria.

Before Aria could say anything, Bonnie appeared behind her, and used her magic to snap Aria's neck.

"Ugh, pack rat" Damon complained, as he and Kol entered Will's room where he kept all the information about the vampires he helped run away, "Thanks, Will".

"This is going to be a nightmare" Kol complained, "By the way, what did you tell Ri?".

"Nothing" Damon replied, "She went to the restroom".

"What happens when she looks for you and me, but finds none of us?" Kol asked.

"Which is why we need to hurry before she gets worried" Damon replied.

Both Damon and Kol started looking around the room for information about Katherine, both unaware that right now, Aria was being taken back to Mystic Falls.

"Is it just you?" Bonnie asked, walking over to the witch.

"This place wasn't easy to find" The mystery witch said.

"Figured you wouldn't want to draw attention" Bonnie said.

"Where's the girl who has expression in her?".

"Come with me" Bonnie replied, leading the witch to where Aria was.

"That's her?" The witch asked, gesturing to Aria, who was laying on the floor, unconscious.

Bonnie nodded, "Can you help her?".

"I'll try, I'm Aja, by the way, and I know your scared for your friend, but I've dealt with Expression before" Aja said, "I know the hold it can have on a person".

"She's strong" Bonnie said, "You won't be able to do this alone".

"Oh, honey" Aja said, "Who said anything about being alone?", just as Aja said, a bunch of witches started to walk over to them, "There's almost nothing as strong as a full coven, so I brought eleven of my closest friends, won't be fun for your friend, but we're gonna cleanse her".

"Then you better hurry, she will wake soon" Bonnie said.

Aja nodded, and her and the rest of the witches started preparing for the spell, while Bonnie kneeled next to Aria.

"I'm sorry Aria, but Silas said if I want Jeremy and Grams back, I need to do this, I'm so sorry" Bonnie whispered.

"There's been two massacres" Caroline told Klaus, drawing on the map, "Pastor Young's farm is here, and the old Lockwood Cellar, where you slaughtered twelve of your own hybrids is here, according to the book, the Expression Triangle, is equilateral, putting it here".

"Somebody's been skipping their geometry classes" Klaus teased, taking the marker from Caroline, "They are actually two places where the third massacre could be".

"Well, you didn't let me finish" Caroline said, looking at Klaus.

Klaus and Caroline stared at each other for a moment, their moment was disturbed when the door opened and Rebekah came in.

"Hey, what's going on?" Caroline asked, seeing Rebekah's worried face.

"Bonnie's dad called Liz" Rebekah replied.

"Why?" Caroline asked confused.

"Apparently Shane took Bonnie somewhere without informing him" Rebekah replied.

"Shane?" Caroline asked shocked, "Isn't Shane dead?".

"He is" Klaus replied, "Looks like we found one of the immortal brothers".

Aja placed her hands on the side of Aria's head and started chanting, as soon as she started chanting, Aria started screaming in pain.

"Aah!" Aria yelled, "Stop! Please stop!".

"It's you" Aja realised, "You're the tribrid, the ancestors have been whispering about you".

"Stop!" Aria yelled.

"And you're the last witch Connor, meaning your magic doesn't come from the ancestors" Aja said.

"Stop!" Aria yelled, "Who are you?! Why are you doing this?! Let me go!".

"She's fighting!" Aja yelled to the other witches.

"Let me go!" Aria yelled, trying to fight Aja.

"I need help" Aja called out, "Link with me", all the witches kneeled down and started chanting, "Lend me your power!", the fire around them all got higher.

"I said stop!" Aria yelled, using her magic to push Aja away from her, but she quickly recovered and pinned Aria back down again.

"We need more strength!" Aja yelled.

"I will kill you!" Aria yelled, as veins started appearing under her eyes.

"So one of the brothers is appearing as Professor Shane" Damon said, "Wouldn't be my first choice".

"But the question is, what's the other brother appearing as?" Kol asked.

"We don't know" Caroline replied, through the phone, "But we know one of the brothers has been brainwashing Bonnie into committing the massacre".

"Which one?" Damon asked.

"Another thing we don't know" Rebekah replied, walking with Klaus and Caroline, trying to find where Bonnie is.

"Is Ari with you both?" Klaus asked, not wanting one of the brothers 

Damon went to reply when the door barged open and a panicked Jenna came in, "Aria's missing".

"What?" Kol asked shocked, "What do you mean she's missing?".

"She went to the restroom, and she didn't come back, so I went to check on her but she wasn't there, I looked everywhere for her, but she's no where to be found" Jenna replied.

"Where did she go?" Damon asked, suddenly very worried.

"Damon, Kol, find Ari, now" Klaus demanded.

"We will, you guys stop the massacre" Kol said.

"On it" Caroline said, hanging up on the vampires.

"We need to find Elena" Damon said, "Something tells me Ria disappearing and her appearing like this, isn't a coincidence".

Kol nodded, "Let's go".

And with that Damon, Kol and Jenna all walked out to find Aria, unaware that currently she was in Mystic Falls.

"Aah!" Aria yelled.

"Yield to the spirits!" Aja yelled, "You can't fight us!".

"Trust me, I can!" Aria yelled, using the small amount of energy she had left to give all the witches around her an aneurism.

Suddenly, Elijah speeded over to Aria and untied her and helped her stand up.

"Stop!" Aja yelled, "We are helping her".

"You are killing her" Elijah snapped, holding on to Aria so she doesn't fall, "Aria isn't the one who has expression, the person who called you here does, Bonnie Bennett is the one under the control of expression not Aria!".

"You're lying" Aja snapped, using her magic to push Elijah away from Aria.

Aria glared at Aja, she used her magic to push Aja to the ground.

"The more you use your magic, the weaker you will get" Aja warned, standing up, "You can't fight me, I have twelve witches on my side".

"There's a reason I'm called the most powerful witch" Aria snapped, "I don't need twelve witches by my side to fight you".

"Aria!" Caroline yelled, running over to Aria with Klaus and Rebekah by her side, they tried to enter the circle, but something was blocking them.

"We can't get in" Elijah informed.

"They are going to kill her" Caroline panicked.

"Not if Ari kills them first" Klaus said.

"But if Aria kills them, the third massacre is completed" Rebekah said, worried.

"Would you rather have dead witches or dead Aria?" Klaus snapped.

"Aria!" Caroline yelled, trying to get Aria to listen to her, but for some reason her voice didn't reach Aria.

"Why can't she hear us?" Rebekah asked confused.

"Because there's a silence spell surrounding the circle, your voice won't reach her".

"Jeremy?" Caroline asked shocked.

"Damien, actually" Damien corrected.

"So you're the one who orchestrated all of this" Klaus snapped.

"Actually it was my brother who brainwashed Bonnie into handing Aria to these witches" Damien said, "I tried to save her, but there's not much I can do without my powers".

"But you and Silas helped us save Aria" Elijah said, "Why is your brother now trying to kill her?".

"He isn't trying to kill her" Damien replied, "He knows the amount of power Aria holds, he knows how easily she can fight these twelve witches".

"He doesn't want to kill her" Elijah realised, "He wants Aria to kill the witches".

"And from the looks of it, she is" Damien said.

Elijah, Klaus, Caroline and Rebekah looked back at the witches and Aria, only to see Aja kneeling on the ground and her and all the witches around them, coughing out blood.

"Who are you?" Aria asked, slowly stopping her magic, "Why are you trying to kill me?".

"You have expression in you, we just wanted to get rid of it" Aja replied, slowly standing up.

"And who the hell told you that?" Aria asked confused.

"Bonnie Bennett contacted us, she told us that you took her magic from her, including the expression" Aja replied.

"Oh so she didn't mention the part in which the expression is no longer in me, but back in her?" Aria snapped.

"You're lying" Aja snapped, "Bonnie said you've been delusional the past few days, we can help you Aria, let us help you get rid of the expression, otherwise we--".

"Otherwise what?" Aria asked, glaring at the witch infront of her.

"Otherwise we will have to kill you" Aja threatened.

"I don't have expression in me!" Aria yelled, "Bonnie does, you want to kill someone then go kill her, leave me alone!".

Aria turned around and came face to face with Elijah, Caroline, Rebekah and Klaus, she gave them a small smile, but a frown came on her face when she saw the panicked expressions on their faces, she realised they were saying something to her but for some reason, she couldn't hear them, but from their gestures she could tell they were telling her to turn around.

Aria quickly turned around, just as Aja was about to stake her, Aria quickly speeded behind her, grabbed her hand and made Aja stab herself.

As Aja fell to the ground dead, all the other witches also died around Aria.

"Aria!" Caroline yelled, running over to a shocked Aria, "Aria, are you okay?".

"She was going to attack me" Aria whispered, "I-I didn't mean to, but she was going to kill me Care, I didn't mean to kill everyone".

"Hey, it's okay" Caroline assured, "It was self defense, it's okay".

"I killed twelve witches Caroline!" Aria yelled, "It's not okay!".

"Aria--".

"I need to go, I-I can't be here" Aria said, speeding away.

"Aria!" Caroline yelled, she looked back at the Mikaelson siblings.

"Go" Klaus assured.

"We'll take care of these bodies, go to her" Elijah said.

Caroline nodded and speeded after Aria.

Aria sat by the lake, throwing rocks into the lake, when Caroline sat next to her.

"There's someone who really wants to talk to you" Caroline said, handing Aria the phone.

Aria didn't say anything just grabbed the phone from Caroline and put it to her ear.

"Hey" Damon said, from the other side, "Caroline told me everything, I wanted to make sure you were okay, me and Kol are on our way, we will be there soon".

"Don't" Aria said, "Don't come back until you finish what you went to New York for".

"Ria--".

"Damon, I'm okay, I have Caroline with me" Aria assured, "But you and Kol need to find Katherine".

"How did you know about that?" Damon asked confused.

"I'm not an idiot Damon" Aria replied, "You and Kol have been lying to me the whole trip, and the only reason you both lie to me is when you don't want me to get hurt or angry, and currently I feel both those emotions whenever Katherine is mentioned".

Damon sighed, "You know I hate lying to you, but I just wanted you to have one day without any problems".

"And look how that turned out" Aria said, "Can you tell Jenna that I'm so sorry, that next time I will spend a month with her, not just a few hours".

"I will" Damon assured.

"And you and Kol need to stop worrying about me, just find Katherine and get the cure from her" Aria said, "And promise me one thing".

"Anything" Damon said.

"Make her suffer" Aria said, "Make her suffer for what she did to Jeremy".

"I promise Katherine is not going to get out of this easily" Damon promised.

"Good" Aria said, "I'll see you soon Damon".

"I'll see you soon Ria" Damon whispered.

Damon stood at the roof of the bar, staring out at the city.

"It's beautiful up here" Elena said, walking over to Damon.

"Leave" Damon said.

"Where's your partner in crime?" Elena asked.

"Most likely feeding on someone" Damon replied.

"Typical" Elena said.

"No one likes judgey people Elena" Damon snapped.

"I'm not judging, I've been doing a lot of that myself" Elena admitted.

"Why are talking to me?" Damon asked.

"I just want to spend some quality time with you" Elena replied.

"And I don't want anything to do with you" Damon snapped.

"Oh come on Damon" Elena said, stepping closer to Damon, she put her hand on Damon's chest, "Aria isn't here, you can finally admit it".

"Admit what exactly?" Damon asked.

"That you're attracted to me" Elena whispered leaning over to kiss Damon.

Before their lips could touch, Damon quickly snapped Elena's neck.

"Idiot" Damon whispered, checking Elena's pockets for her phone.

"What the hell happened here?" Kol asked, walking over to Damon.

"Finally" Damon said, throwing Elena's phone to Kol, "She was trying to seduce me".

"Why?" Kol asked confused.

"Look at the last number she talked to" Damon replied.

"Oh bloody hell" Kol whispered, looking at Elena's phone, "Katherine? Elena's been talking to Katherine?".

"Explains how she knew we were in New York" Damon said, "Katherine has been using a emotionless Elena to do her dirty work, she wants to know how close we are to her".

"Unbelievable" Kol said, "I'm going to call Liz, ask her to track this number, you take care of her".

"What the hell am I meant to do with that?" Damon asked, gesturing to Elena's unconscious body.

"I don't know, burn her, bury her, do something with her" Kol replied, walking away.

"Thanks for the help!" Damon yelled sarcastically.

"You're welcome mate!" Kol yelled back.
