CODE 66 Victim

"How's the time machine?" X asked Loan as he sat before a table, looking at the moon. Veronique sat beside him.
"They can't fix it. We need someone more skilled or we can't travel space-time through" Loan said.
"But they are the best here,"
"They say it's something they've never seen before,"

"What about the spare time machine in the dead sea? Where did it go?" X asked.
"We are still trying to locate it, siren. It went missing a month back,"
"Strange,"

Loan looked at a huge computer screen beside the wall, "Sir, do you remember Mr Dexter telling us about that one Kleptomaniac kid in the past who fixed the time machine?"
The screen displayed a picture of Axel, "This kid,"
X looked at Axel, "This child will help us?"

"He was the mechanic of Code X 777 in the DROID freedom revolution two years ago, he must be about fifteen right now,"
Veronique looked at X.
X looked at Axel's face and smirked, "He's got a pretty face,"

Loan smiled, "You certainly fancy children,"
Veronique looked away.
Were there gonna be more victims?

Slaine entered the room, dressed up in a white hoodie and sky blue, skinny jeans. His face looked fresh and pale and he held his skateboard beside him.

Yes, there were going to be more victims.

"So, young man," X pointed towards the screen, "You see this boy,"
Slaine looked at Axel's picture on the hologram screen, "We want you to get him here, anyone who interferes, you're free to kill him. The more people you kill, more heavily you'd be paid,"

Slaine looked at Axel's picture, "Anyone who interferes, right?"

Meanwhile, in Libia, the trucks were cruising towards Egypt in a sea of sand. Lucifer looked at the black men, covered in dust and perspire, stinking of gunpowder. Their faces with covered and the only thing he could see was the hatred in their eyes.

He looked outside at the burning desert behind them. Suddenly, he saw clouds in the sky. Dark clouds. They seemed unnaturally dark. Was it what he thought it was? Suddenly, lightening fell from the clouds, onto the trucks and all of them were blinded by the bright light.

When Lucifer opened his eyes again, they were still in the desert, seated in those trucks. He looked around, everyone was asleep. Everything was quiet. He slowly got up and walked out of the truck. He could see the sun setting into the horizon. It was getting dark.

Ameradite slowly opened her eyes and looked at Lucifer's silhouette before the setting sun as her face lit orange from the sunlight. She got up and he turned back. She looked at him, "What happened?"
He shook his head, "Just...suddenly felt all alone,"

"What do you mean alone?"
"I don't know if my team is alive or they got molten and turned into objects. I don't know if the person I am looking for is still alive." He looked at his hands, "I don't even know if I'm alive or if this is an afterlife... But," He looked at her, "I think I have a plan,"

"We have to leave," Clanthido told Ameradite.
"Oh, you're up?" She looked at him.
"Yes. Let's run away before these people wake up,"

"Where are you people from? I've never heard that language," Lucifer asked.
"Just far away," Ameradite said nervously and quickly changed the topic, "Let us run away before we are caught again,"

. . .

MiK and Norman stood before the furnace. Coelestin and his ministers stood at the arch of a tower and looked at them.
The blacksmith opened the furnace door. Norman turned towards MiK.

MiK's blue eyes were glowing. Norman looked down, "I wonder if,"
Then, she looked up into Norman's eyes, "Robots have a heaven,"

MiK grabbed her hand, "If there isn't, does that mean we can't meet again?"
"You and I love each other enough for us to stay in love even if we are dead, sister,"

Norman got on the furnace door and looked down at the burning lava.
"But why do we have to die?" Mik asked and Norman closed her eyes.

"Tell me how was any of this our oversight? We only obeyed injunctions! We did what we were made to do!"
"Yes, we have performed our duty so now there's no reason to stay here anymore,"
"So, just cuz the war is over, are we disposed of like weapons of war that we are?"

"MiK," Norman smiled as she turned back, "We are robots, not humans" She let her hands go and gently fell into the furnace.
"NORMAN!" She tried to run towards her but the other robots held her back, "NORMAN!"

Norman's body melted in the burning lava, "NO!" MiK freed herself and ran towards the furnace door. She turned towards Coelestin sitting at the arch of the tower, "IF THIS IS JUSTICE, IF A ROBOT'S TEARS BRING JUSTICE TO YOU HUMANS, THEN TO HELL WITH YOUR MORALS!" She cried.

"YOU HAVE NEVER GIVEN ME ANYTHING BUT PAIN! How could I accuse you, a mere stranger, when my own inventor didn't value my worth, the only human I loved mocked my feelings for him, the only friend I had is now gone! And what was her fault? Nothing she was just... not needed anymore cuz the war is over.

I am SO. FUCKING. TIRED. OF BEING USED AND THROWN, PICKED UP JUST TO GET USED AGAIN AND THEN THROWN BACK.

So, I'd end it right here today. I'd rather die on my feet... than live on my knees!"

She jumped into the furnace and disappeared in the burning lava. Coelestin pressed his hands over his chest, "Am I doing something wrong?"

"No, your highness. That was just a piece of a tin can. You can't change your resolve to them, they are the vandals of peace. We need to take down all the five war robots to ensure absolute peace," The war general said.

Coelestin looked at him, "Yes, you must be right,"

. . .

Ameradite, Coelestin and Lucifer ran through the sand in the cold dessert. It was getting dark. Lucifer stopped in exhaustion and fell on his knees. He removed his boots. He panted and sat on the sand,

"Is everything okay?"
"Why am I so unstable suddenly? Are humans so fragile? I can't even run without running out of breath, my feet ache, my chest stings, I feel like I'm about to throw up. Is this normal?"

"I don't know," Ameradite stood beside him. Ameradite sat beside him and patted his head, "Your hands are so cold," Lucifer said.
She moved them away from him, "Oh I'm sorry—"

"No," He grabbed them and pressed back on his head, "Reminds me of Ben's hands. They were always this cold too,"
She looked at him and hugged him gently, "Clanthido,"
Clanthido looked at her, "Yes?"
"Let's rest here for today. Make us a fire,"

Lucifer clutched his sweater over his heart and rasped.
"Are you okay?"
He raised the sweater and looked at the four lights on his ribs. Two of them slowly grew dim and then stopped glowing,"

"What is this?" Ameradite asked.
Lucifer looked at the stars overhead, "You see those lights above?"
"Yeah?" Andradite looked up.
"So the lights that are gone from my heart, are now glowing in the sky,"

Ameradite looked at him. He chuckled and pulled his sweater down, "I am collapsing slowly...And I'm not liking it,"

Ameradite looked at the stars in the sky, "You know how those lights in the sky are formed?" She asked and Lucifer looked at her, "Those stars... They are not dead people.
They are born when a gaseous nebula collapses. So collapse.
Crumble.
This is not your destruction,"

She pressed her hands on his face and looked into his eyes, "This is your birth,"
