Cashi lived in a coastal village in the forgotten continent of Stetriol. She lived with her sick father, Humbo, her father's wild dog spirit animal, her mother and her younger brother Alix. Cashi, like her father, was a peace keeper. She would not lay harm to even the smallest of flies. However her brother was a warrior and her mother was a fearless farmer. She'd beat up anyone dumb enough to step within a metre of their crops, which is why Cashi normally dealt with intruders. Recently she'd summoned a spirit animal, an arctic fox. Most of the time that would be a curse but she and Tracer had luckily escaped the sickness. She sat with her father. He was weak and spent most of his time asleep. 

 "I will find a cure" she promised him . 

 "Cashi, my darling, there is nothing you can do. The Greencloaks have the cure. The only way to get it is to take it" he told her. 

 "No" said Cashi. "I'll get them to give it to us out of kindness." Her father laughed. 

 "Cashi, dear, you are strange, but a good strange. Listen to me, break the branches of trees and tie them together with vines. Then sail to Nilo. Don't tell your mother, and definitely not Alix. He's bossy and will persuade you otherwise." He chuckled. "I swear one day he'll lead an army." Cashi smiled. She loved her brother dearly but his methods of dealing with things were never quite right. 

 "Promise me you won't let yourself go, or them." 

 "My daughter I can not promise anything, but I can try." He winked. Then she set off to the river, taking a pendant with a wave on it as a gift from her father, as well as food.

Cashi bound the last knot, then kicked the raft out. She jumped to join her spirit animal on the floating piece of wood. Then she heard a scream. It was clearly the young Princess Drina. She saw the child watching her, so paddled away as fast as she could. By the time the girl's mother arrived she was too far gone to be stopped. 

 "Where are you going, child?" called the Queen.  

"To the Greencloaks" she replied,"to save Stetriol." The woman nodded as if to say good luck, then picked up her daughter and walked away without saying another thing. She was out on the ocean for a day. She'd only brought enough food to last her a week, but when she hit land she was grateful to see a boy and his spirit animal waiting there. He too had an arctic fox. She smiled when she saw that. 

 "Another one to join the Greencloaks?" he asked. 

 "Yes" she replied. "I will get whatever cure they keep from my people for my people. They are kind, they should understand." He looked confused. 

 "Understand what?" It was then she realised she'd said too much. 

 "Nothing" she said. Then a woman wearing a green cloak came wandering over.
