Flashback

"I love our mother-daughter days!" Clarissa smiles as she rests her head against her mother's chest.

"Isn't that almost every day?" Eleanor giggles. "How many corndogs did you eat?" She asks tickling her daughter's stomach.

"You're one to talk! You ate the same amount as me! Not to forget the whole chocolate cake we ate." Clarissa giggles holding onto her mother's hand. "But mom? What brought all this on? You had me skip school two days ago. The first day, we traveled to Skopelos and I still can't get over how beautiful that island is. The second day, we may have made someone's boat sink. And we got back home today, baked cakes and cookies. We had one of our specials at the grill. Then we just had a whole movie marathon while enjoying a stack of corndogs and a whole chocolate cake."

"That boat sinking was your fault, not mine."

"Well if men stop trying to hit on my married mother, we wouldn't be having an issue! So what's up?"

"I..." Eleanor sighs and caresses her daughter's hair. "I just wanted to make some more memories for my beautiful daughter."

"Mom, we make memories every day. Remember that time dad let me drive his car? He told me how proud he was of my excellent driving and nearly cried."

"Yeah but he also suffered my wrath. He knew better teaching our eight year old child how to drive."

"Mom, you know that dad is the devil... Didn't you chase him around the town for like an hour until Aunt Liz got you two to stop? Someone called the cops about a madwoman chasing a devilishly handsome man. Then you demanded to know who called dad handsome." Clarissa laughs.

Eleanor rolls her eyes. "Isn't it time for you to go to bed?"

"Way to change the subject." Clarissa giggles and pokes her mother's cheek. "Good night, mom. Love you."

Eleanor pulls Clarissa into a hug and squeezes her tightly. "...I love you too, my little angel." She holds onto her a little longer before letting go and placing a kiss on top of her head. "Good night."

Clarissa smiles at her mother once more before getting up from the couch. Eleanor watches her daughter go upstairs with a small smile while also shedding a tear. "My little angel, I'll always be watching over you."

The next day, Clarissa walks alongside Enzo with a shocked expression, to her mother's room where Caroline, Ariel and Liz are gathered. Seeing with her own eyes upon what Enzo had told her... Her mother had passed away in her sleep.

"No... No." She shakes her head as she begins to cry.

"Angel-" Enzo reaches out to her.

"No! NO! NOT HER!" She pushes him away and runs outside. She looks up at the sky. "WHY?! WHY WOULD YOU TAKE HER FROM ME?! I BARELY GET TO SEE MY DAD BECAUSE OF YOU! SO WHY?! WHY ARE YOU PUNISHING ME?!"

The others come outside and Enzo wraps his arms around her.

"Angel, you have to calm down."

"GIVE HER BACK! I HATE YOU SO MUCH! I WANT MY MOMMY! GIVE HER BACK TO ME!" She thrashes in Enzo's arms. "Please... Please don't take her from me! Please!"

As they both slowly fall to the ground, he holds her tightly to him, trying his best for comfort her as continues sobbing. Ariel and Caroline look away unable to continue looking at the pain their cousin is in. Liz brings her daughters into a hug and cries at the loss of her sister-in-law. Even Enzo himself sheds a tear, not only because the suffering his best friend is going through...as he himself also cared for Eleanor.

End of Flashback

Clarissa wakes up and sees Kai hovering over her with a concerned expression. He brushes her hair away from her face and gently strokes her cheek. 

"Bad dream? You've been getting a lot of them lately." He sighs before wiping away her tears.

"More like an old memory... The last day that I spent with my mom and what happened the next day..."

"Do you need dad?" She nods. "He's downstairs. He fell asleep on the couch and I put a blanket on him. Need help getting up from bed?"

She shakes her head and kisses his cheek before leaving the room and heading downstairs.

(So originally I was able to combine these two images and I resized multiple times. But guess what? Wattpad wasn't having it so I have to put them up separately!)

Flashback

Amenadiel, why are you here? It's your turn to spend time with our de-" She becomes shocked seeing Eleanor coming from behind him. "Elle?"

"Hi, Maze. Sorry for dropping in like this, but best if happen now than later."

"Before I take her away, she wanted a chance to say goodbye..." Amenadiel tells Maze.

"...No... No..." Maze shakes her head, refusing to believe Eleanor is dead. "You can't be-"

"I'm sorry, bestie... But my time is up." Eleanor says after she walks up to Maze and takes her hands in hers.

"H-How?"

"Liz will explain everything. Right now, I want to say my goodbyes." Eleanor tearfully says.

"This is some kind of joke right, Amenadiel? Why the hell would you-" Maze is cut off when her face is cupped in Eleanor's hands.

"We both knew that this day would come... And this isn't really goodbye. It's more like see you later. I know we'll meet again someday. I know it's not easy to put up with Lucifer but whenever he does something to annoy you or makes you angry, just think of me. Because between Lucifer and me, we all know that I'm your favorite best friend." Eleanor says making Maze laugh and putting a sad smile on Amenadiel's face.

"I don't play favorites, you know that. I only tolerated you because of Lucifer."

"...You love me." Eleanor says as she pulls Maze in for a hug and becomes surprised when the action is reciprocated. "Oh...you finally hugged me back!"

"Enjoy it while it lasts and..."

"And what?" Eleanor pulls away, shocked to see Maze crying. "Hey... I thought demons don't get sad, huh?" She asks after wiping away her tears.

"I'm not sad. Glad to finally be rid of you."

Eleanor gives her a small smile. "Mazie, you could never get rid of me. We'll meet in my next life, you know. Plus you still have to look after my little angel for me. You know she not only took after Lucifer but me as well." Eleanor says making Maze shed another tear. "...Before I go talk to Luci, can you do me one last favor?"

"...What is it?"

"Don't close yourself off to others. I know it wasn't easy being a mom or letting me in but... Try to make some new friends. You were able to do it with me, so you can do it again... Thank you for being my favorite demon, Mazikeen."

Eleanor hugs Maze tightly once more before letting go and walking away with Amenadiel. After watching them leave, Maze's knees buckle and slumping down to the floor as she silently cries.

Lucifer is sitting on his throne in deep thought until he feels a familiar presence. He looks up to see his brother entering the throne room.

"Amenadiel. Shouldn't you be teaching your spawn some new warrior..." His eyes widened when his brother steps aside. "Eleanor?"

Lucifer slowly stands up as Eleanor walks up to him with a smile.

"You know when I thought the day I would pass, I didn't think I would stopping by Hell first before making my way to Heaven. But I couldn't go without seeing my guardian devil one last time."

"...What... What are you saying? That's impossible." Lucifer says as he shakes his head.

"Luci, we knew this day would come." Eleanor says with a tearful smile.

"Amenadiel, what is the meaning of this?!"

"...Lucifer... Say your goodbyes to her while you can. Maze got her chance, do not waste yours."

"...What are you and dear old dad plotting now? Wasn't sending me down here to rule Hell enough?" Lucifer snaps.

"Luci."

He ignores her and walks towards his brother. "What more must you take from me? Why can't you all just let me have this one-"

"Stop." She steps in front of Lucifer and places her hands on his chest. He closes his eyes and turns his head away. "Lucifer... Look at me." She cups his face in her hands and he looks at her with tearful eyes. "You will be sad for now... You will cry for now but the pain will pass... When you think of me, you will smile and laugh a lot. You will do that for yourself, our little girl and me... Look out for each other and cause a little mayhem every now and then. Take lots of family pictures. Make sure our little girl doesn't trip as you walk her down the aisle... And make sure that I get ten grandchildren. The corndog and chocolate cake tradition must be passed on." The last part making him laugh. "Also, be happy again with another."

"Do you honestly believe I could love someone as much as I love you?" He asks as he sheds a tear.

She lightly chuckles. "I'm still surprised that I fell for you. Remember when we first met? I told you that I would feel sorry for the woman who would marry you because I find you detestable. Yet that woman became me." She laughs as she wipes away his tears. "We'll meet again someday... You found me in this life, so I'll find you in the next. Hmm, maybe I'll be reborn as a fairy?" She giggles.

He lightly chuckles. "You would love that, wouldn't you? 

"Of course I would. What if I could turn tiny like Tinkerbell and easily slash a pervert's tires? Or make him slip on a banana peel? No one would be able to catch me!" She says with a smirk. "...I love you, Lucifer Morningstar... If we meet again in my next life, maybe we can get our happy ending then."

"...I love you, Eleanor Forbes-Morningstar."

She gives him a tearful smile. "Close your eyes."

After he closes his eyes, she kisses his forehead, his cheek and finally his lips. "Keep them closed, okay?" Her voice cracks at the end and she sighs, unable to stop the tears she tried to keep from coming down. "Until next time, my guardian devil."

She kisses him once more and after he feels a gust of wind. He opens his eyes to find his wife and brother gone.

End of Flashback

Lucifer wakes up and realizes he fell asleep on the couch. He wipes away his tears and when he is about to remove the blanket, he feels something on his shoulder. He looks to see Clarissa next to him, holding onto his arm. He lets out a deep sigh and kisses the top of her head.

"...Your mother?" She nods. "Me too."

"I really miss her, dad." She says as her eyes glisten with tears.

"As do I, my little devil... As do I." He says before looking at a family photo of the three of them.

This story is about to hit 200K reads and I still haven't processed when it got to 100K!

This chapter was meant to be longer but I kept you all waiting long enough so I'll just save the other stuff for the next chapter.

Eleanor saying her goodbyes to Maze and Lucifer? Let me tell you, it was not easy writing that. I love writing her character, her relationship with Lucifer and Clarissa. I hope I wrote it well, I tried to stay somewhat true to Lucifer and Maze's characters.

Don't know if anyone noticed but I put a little reference to Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again because of Lily James being in that movie.

And just to let you guys know, Chloe returns next chapter!
