"Can you hurry up and get home? I'm literally bored watching Buffy here without you."
"You bored while watching Buffy? Are you even my real fiancé?"
Phil laughed. "Yes I am. I probably know more about you than you know more about yourself Dan."
"Is that so?" I smiled as I stated out the window. I always loved getting the window seat on planes. Phil did too. That made us traveling together a bit of a nightmare. It always came down to us playing rock-paper-scissors to decide who would get the window seat if we had managed to snag it on the flight. "I could say the same thing about you Phil."
Phil laughed again. "How much longer until you get back to London?"
I smiled. "A long time. I just got on the plane not that long ago. We aren't even in the air yet."
Phil pouted. "Aw man."
I held back a laugh as he fell for my lie. I muted the call as a voice told everyone that we were preparing to land. I unmuted the call once the voice stopped. "I'm gonna let you go. I wanna try and get some sleep."
"Aw, okay." Phil pouted again. "See you later then. I love you."
"Love you too."

"Philip Michael Lester, what on earth have you done to our flat?"
I nearly dropped my bags when I arrived home. Christmas decorations were around the entire flat. Phil even had machines that were plugged in and were spitting out fake snow. Stringed lights adorned the porch and a wreath hung on the door. As I was looking at the santa and reindeer that were on the front lawn, I saw the blinds move. A moment later, I heard the door open and Phil emerged wearing the Christmas sweater I had gotten him on Christmas Day. He was also wearing a Santa hat and his glasses.
"Merry Christmas in July Dan!" Phil cried out happily. He then ran up to me. "Do you like what I've done with the flat? It's like an artificial winter wonderland!"
"It's... nice Phil." I looked around and realized that he must've spent a pretty long time on this place. "Why are you doing this though? You've never celebrated Christmas in July."
"Exactly! I wanted to change that!" His blue eyes sparkled with excitement. "So, I think now is a good time to start Operation Give Dan The Best Christmas In July Ever! We'll call it OGDTBCIJE for short so we can save some breath. Now, unlike Operation Give Dan The Best Christmas Ever AKA OGDTBCE, OGDTBCIJE will be spread out over the course of six days. Day one starts..." He paused for a few moments. "Now!" He grabbed my arm and practically dragged me inside of the house. "Go get your Christmas sweater on while I get your stuff from outside!"
Before I had time to protest, he ran back outside to where my stuff was. I sighed and went upstairs to my room. I had to really dig through all of the black shirts that I owned to find my Christmas sweater. Once I found it, I put it on and decided to also put on my Santa hat since I knew that Phil would like it if I did so.
*****
"Oh my gosh! Look at us! We're twins with our Santa hats!" Phil clapped his hands happily with a bright smile on his face. "I love it so much!"
I smiled a bit and chuckled. "So, what are today's OGDTBCE activities?"
"It's not OGDTBCE Dan." Phil sighed while smiling a bit. "It's OGDTBCIJE. There's a big difference between the two you know."
"Okay, what are today's OGDTBCIJE activities then?"
"There you go! You got it!" Phil cheered. He then giggled. "Since I know you just got home from a pretty long flight, we're going to unwind and sing some Christmas songs. They'll all be karaoke of course."
"Oh no Phil, you know I'm a terrible singer!" I laughed. "I'll chase all the neighbors away!"
"No you won't." Phil assured. "I've already chased them away with all of my Christmas decorations." The smile never left his face. "Anyway, you go get my computer so I can introduce you to Tweety The Third while I get the karaoke set up."
*****
"Get ready to meet your other daddy Tweety The Third!" I cried happily as Phil turned on his computer. He placed it down on his Cookie Monster pajama pants and tapped his fingers on it while he waited for it to ask him for his password. Once it did and he typed it in, he quickly pulled up Can Your Pet?
"There he is." Phil seemed proud as he watched Tweety The Third walk around his room. "Isn't he great?"
"Yes but not as great as Tweety."
"Agreed."
After Phil and I played and took care of Tweety The Third for a little bit, Phil shut down his computer and placed it down on the coffee table. He then went over to the karaoke machine and turned it on before grabbing the two microphones that were connected to it and handing one to me.
"I think you'll like this first pick." Phil smiled as he hit the play button on the machine. I held back a cry of happiness when I heard Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.
"Your favorite Christmas song!" I cried happily to Phil.
"Your favorite Christmas song too!" Phil cried back just as happily.
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.
Phil and I sang the notes perfectly in sync and in harmony. It's amazing just how amazing our voices sounded together. We really were destined for each other after all.
*****
After four straight hours of singing Christmas songs (I can't believe it either), Phil shut off the karaoke machine and unhooked the microphones before putting both them and the machine away.
"I think it's about time we started planning our wedding." Phil's voice sounded dry and cracked. It was definitely from all the singing he had done and the many, many notes he had belted over the course of four hours. "Are you okay with that being a part of OGDTBCIJE day one?"
I nodded, not bothering to speak since I knew my voice would sound just like Phil's if I had decided to speak instead.
Phil sat down on the couch and grabbed his computer again. I sat down next to him and watched as he entered his password when his computer requested him to. He immediately went onto Google Chrome and not Firefox and searched 'Beautiful wedding venues in London'
"Dan! Let's get married at the London Eye!" Phil cried with excitement before he fell into a coughing fit.
"You're killin' me Smalls." I rolled my eyes and laughed, making sure not to put too much strain in my voice. "But yeah, we should definitely get married at the London Eye. Now, here's the big question, when do you want this London Eye marriage to happen?"
Phil looked at me nervously. "Can we wait until it starts snowing? I've always wanted to get married when it was snowing outside." His voice was quiet and he looked at me like a child would look at their parent when they knew that they were in trouble and there was no stopping the fact that they would be getting into trouble.
I sighed. He knew I was already impatient about getting married to me and yet he requested to wait until it started snowing. "Fine. But only because I love you very much."
"Thank you, thank you, thank you so much!" Phil also made sure not to put too much strain on his voice as he hugged me tightly. "You're literally the best in the entire world! I love you so much!"
"I love you too Phil." I smiled as he rested his head on my shoulder. "I love you too."
