ARICSON ARRIVED in a very spacious and classic designed room with ornate walls and solid-colored wallpaper. The place had nothing but a touch of femininity. The whole design was Brennan's taste and Dryann did not even bother changing it after she replaced his twin brother's position.
Beanca tilted her head and welcomed them while Sapphire remained seated on the couch. Her whole being was focused on the swirling magic enclosed in a geometrical frame, allowing it to be seen in a Mundran's eye.
He cleared his throat to get her attention.
"Rei!!" She exclaimed and hurriedly ran to him. She stopped midway when she spotted the people behind him.
"Good day, my lord, my ladies," Sapphire said and curtsied.
"Hello, Sapphire. How are you?" Hadrien greeted.
It was not a surprise his brother did not even stutter. Sapphire was one of the people he was comfortable with since they practically grew up together.
"You even brought Sapphire?" Dryann prompted.
"I brought your favorite cookies, my lady." Sapphire took out something from her pocket and gave the small paper bag to Dryann.
"That's sweet of you, dear," Dryann thanked her with a smile.
He discerned Elise's stunned expression. From what he had observed, she and Dryann were constantly arguing. It was not hard to guess that she must be surprised by his sister's actions.
Sapphire was quite naïve to the point of foolishness but he could not deny that she could charm her way out of any situation. Dryann was the hardest to please but Sapphire was able to get along with her.
"So what do you need, Brother?" Dryann asked tucking away the paper bag.
"Let's talk inside," he suggested and faced the rest of them. "All of you can stay here. If your break is done, you can go ahead, Hadrien."
All three of them nodded simultaneously. There was a silent hope that they would not cause a problem after being left alone as he and Dryann proceeded to her private office.
"Why are you bringing a lot of women these days?" Dryann asked as soon as she was seated.
The room was only meant for office work so there were no other chairs around. He simply leaned against the wall before answering. "Sapphire is going to study here."
"She's a Guardian already," she stated matter-of-factly.
He inclined. Sapphire certainly had no need to attend the Academy. The Guardian knights were often recruited based on talent alone and they were trained in the clan's estate but this was a special case.
"The Valies had asked for a Ward. I've decided she is the right one for the job," he explained.
Due to the First Prince being a walking catastrophe, they had requested a Guardian knight for a Ward. This task was usually for a Royal knight but the king insisted. In order to prevent having issues with them, he decided to agree after consulting their uncle. It was a minor problem and he did not plan to explain it to Dryann in detail.
"Are you sure? You know Sapphire. As much as I adore her, trouble follows her wherever she goes. And have you not heard about the First Prince's situation? That Royal Family is so stuck up to even request this! Don't you know Prince Raven is a scoundrel?" Her voice rose but Aricson let her vent.
"Of course, I know. That is why it is best to have someone like Sapphire beside him rather than a duty-bound Guardian."
"If you're looking for a laidback knight, aren't all our Guardians like that? Pick another one."
"This is final. It's Uncle's suggestion."
"Fine, so what should I do? She's already the Vice-captain of our Guardian Knights and doesn't need the basic training."
"Just enroll her as a Paige. The same class as the prince."
She grumbled another agreement but the irritation was still embedded in her features.
"There's another thing. Give me a graduate certificate for the Healers. Elise needs it."
"Do I have any other choice?" she groaned and held out her hand before uttering. "Frosch."
Dryann summoned an orb by simply calling the element of ice. It was one of her abilities as a Half-Breed Fairy. Unlike most of the siblings, she didn't need to cast a magic circle to use magic. If she could only leash her emotions, he would never have to worry about her.
"Get me a Healer Certificate," Dryann ordered before facing him to be dismissed.
