All whom I love at some point of time were no where around me now. I was far but not alone. I was much stronger than I was yesterday.

The memories were still fresh all feelings were still new she may not have felt them since a long time but their presence were always there reminding of beautiful memory and cheerful laughs.

"Mavik ...don't run with that vase around in the house..c'mon place it back".... She scolded the small boy who was running around the house with a huge vase giggles placed on his chubby face.

"Mommy look its flying"... Mavik lifted the vase as high as his little hands could lift ..proudly showing off to his mom.

She sighed looking at her son who was nothing but naughty in every way ...she took big steps towards the baby boy only to take away the vase and keep it in its original place.

"Now let's go...or else we'll late".... She held his hand who was pouting by now but ignored him and carried his bag from other hand and started to walk to the breakfast table.

"Let's feed you before we leave...so that my baby boy will grow strong just like his dad".... She smiled while feeding his favorite cereal .

Hearing about his dad his eyes lit like a light and he immediately uttered.." Strong like daddy?"

She wiped his lips and then nodding in yes ..."like daddy"

Five long years .. After Manik died...and sooner Nandini found she was pregnant with Manik child. After losing Manik she lost all hope and was determined to end her life as well but when she found out her baby who growing up inside she got new hope a hope to be near him once again.

She wanted this child more than anything in this world ...that was the time when she started to take care of her she did everything to make sure that the baby remains healthy and after he will be born to provide him everything what he deserves.

Very determined with her motives and goals she moved away from city into the mountains into the peace.

There she worked hard for her cafe which opened with the help of her father who decided to show up after all the chaos. He supported her and her decision . And together they opened Manan cafe which was now running successfully...it was small but all you need...it was cozy.

She always visit his grave and bring flowers for him...she would talk endlessly sitting there...talking about their son who was four now..and talk about how she is managing without him.

And sometimes she would bring Mavik with her too..to let him know who his daddy was...she would always tell stories about Manik to Mavik who would curiously listen to everything and would also ask lot about him and she would gladly answer them all but she didn't know what to say when her son ask where is he now?

"Good morning Nandini".... Jennie greeted as soon as she entered her cafe after dropping Mavik to school.

"Good morning...how's it going?"... She greeted back and asked the usual question she would always ask.

"Great"... Jennie replied with a smile holding her position behind the counter.

"Ah...Jennie..ah you have been working hard ever since this cafe has been started and it just make to thank you from bottom of my heart..if anything I can do for you please let me know...okay?".... Nandini calmly spoke placing her hand over Jennie's shoulder...she was genuine with her words and Jennie knew it.

Jennie was with Nandini since the starting of cafe at first she was a waitress here but looking at her hard work and dedication Nandini promoted her to be a cashier and to look after the cafe when Nandini was not around and till now she has proven herself very well.

"Nandini...you know you don't have to say all this...we are now family and there is no Thankyou in family".... Jennie flash a smile at her making Nandini smile in return.

Cafe was running great like any other day ...keeping workers busy and occupied and Nandini would check everything personally before serving them to customers.

She stayed in cafe till noon until it was time to bring Mavik back from school. She waved a quick bye to Jennie and ran towards her car to go fetch her beloved son.

Today she had promised him that she will take him to his father.

It didn't take much time to spot Mavik among thousands of students because he always stand out in crowd cause if his sharp features and chubby cheeks which he had inherited from his father and mother.

Nandini walked to him...carrying his back and holding his hand from other...Mavik gave an innocent smile looking at her mother and then soon waking together to the car.

"So...how was the school?"... Nandini asked while adjusting his seatbelt.

"It was good mommy...Hani gave her candy to me today"... He speak looking at her mom.

"And what did you gave in return?".... Nandini asked again as now they were on road driving.

"I gave her a kiss".... The little kid spoke too sweetly which made Nandini to laugh.

"Mommy why are you laughing?".... Nandini didn't noticed that little kid was pouting by now showing his disapproval.

"Sorry...mommy won't laugh now..but Mavik you shouldn't kiss anyone like that especially girls" .. Nandini explained while Mavik nodded his head too young to understand his mommy words.

"Are we going to daddy?".... Mavik asked remembering her promise in the morning.

"Yes my baby boy... We are almost there"... Nandini spoke as she parked the car.

There was nothing but peace around the only sound could be heard was of wind blowing.

"Daddy".... Mavik shouted as soon as he saw her dad's photo attached to a grave.
He ran up to him and offered the candy which he received today from Hani.

"Look daddy...I bring candy for you...I wanted to eat but saved it for you"...Mavik smile while placing candy on the grave.

He would talk a lot about his school, teachers, his friends and all other stuffs which excite him...he was always like that a talkative one.

Nandini just stared from far looking at them...how her son...their son was talking about almost everything he concerns about.
A single tear dropped down her eyes but she quickly wipe them off when she noticed Mavik calling her.

She quietly walked up to her son and stood beside him smiling at him.

"Mommy..daddy won't respond to me like every time".... Mavik complained holding her mom's hand.

"He won't...but he is listening to all you are saying ..okay. ...so don't be sad...I told you already..that he is a star now...a shining star...he is always watching on us from far away...maybe he won't respond but he will stay by our side...so don't cry "... Nandini said wiping the little boy's tear.
"Now look .. There are so many flowers go collect some for your daddy".... Nandini added which made Mavik run towards the flower before his nodded to his mother.

She watched her son running away and then turned to Manik's grave.

"Manik...Look our son...he is growing well don't you think so...I am trying best to be good mom and don't let him feel lonely...am I doing good?... Are you proud of me Manik?".... She wiped her tears which slid down her eyes.

"He just like you....so stubborn...he resembles you much Manik...he is the reason I am standing here today ... A part of you...which gives ne strength to keep moving ahead"... Nandini sat down on the grass feeling wind around her face blowing her hair.

"I miss you every single minute....it kills me when I think it too deep ... But life is going any way...and I am also surviving every day...I hope you are doing good there Manik...keep watching us from heaven".... Nandini finished when she saw Mavik running towards her with flowers in his both small hands.

"Mommy look"... He giggles showing them proudly to her mom.

"Ahh....you collected so many..now let's keep on your fathers grave okay".... Mavik nodded in response and together they placed the flowers over his grave and after Mavik said goodbye to his father they went back together for home.

Time healed Nandini's pain , sorrow and loneliness...she had now learned to endure.

Life took away the most precious thing from her but in return she got a beautiful present in form of Mavik...their son...
Manik and Nandini's son.
