26: Wounds

Why did another psychiatrist visit him? He brought up YN, so perhaps he believes it to be her psychiatrist. Otherwise, why else would he have sat for as long as he did?

Doctor Wong spun around in his office chair as he thought to himself. He was indeed alerted of a non-lawyer visit to Sangwoo, but clearly it was not who either of them expected. Bringing it up to Sangwoo would be a bad idea. He didn't want him to know that he was watching him. The lack of satisfaction would simply have to fester inside of him for the time being.

That wound however, would not last long. Amazingly, it was only until the late afternoon that he had to wait to get another call about a non-lawyer visit to Sangwoo.

With an almost sick sense of excitement, he hurried down to the cameras to watch the exchanged of what he hoped was the criminal and his victim.

"Your psychiatrist visited me." Sangwoo cut you off before you had even begun to speak into the phone.

"Uh-- why?" Your face twisted in confusion.

"Dunno. Talk to me, I guess." He shrugged. Who was he to hypothesize?

"Did you tell her I've been coming to see you?" Your forehead was wrinkled with concern.

"I said one letter, one visit. Does it matter?"

"I just... I just didn't tell her the extent. She's not my family. She doesn't need to know everything." The wrinkles turned into a pout and Sangwoo felt his body react viscerally. It didn't help that you were dressed to impress today.

Your lashes looked long and curled. Your lips were shiny and smooth. The clothes you had chosen to wear were a huge step up from the sweatpants and sweater he had seen you wear so often. There was even some cleavage on display to both his dismay and pleasure.

"There's no need to be worried, YN. I wouldn't try to cause you any more difficulties." He looked at you honestly and endearingly.

Is it still all fake? You wondered as you blinked your long lashes at him. Does he even care? Or is he pulling me back into his web?

The silence was awkwardly long.

"So...." Sangwoo interjected your thoughts. "What did you come to tell me?"

"I hate you."

"I hate me too." He leaned his head against the wall. "But what else is new?"

You were still thinking about his motives.

"...How is work? Sleep?" Sangwoo tried again.

They had to be evil intentions. He couldn't possibly care. He almost killed you.

"You look beautiful today." Sangwoo said softly.

"Huh? What?" The sudden compliment pulled you out of your head.

"I'm not trying to be creepy or make you like me. I just wanted to make sure that if you hadn't heard that today... at least you'd know you really do look beautiful today." He scuffed his foot against the floor.
