Arabella's POV

"But, why would he want us here after midnight on a Thursday?" Henry asked Charlotte and I as we pace around the Man Cave.

"I don't know." Charlotte sighed. "But if it's because he had a bad dream again, Bella and I are not gonna sing him a lullaby this time."

I sat on the back of the couch and closed my eyes, almost falling asleep

"Airy."

"Go away, I need sleep." I say and I felt someone ruffle my hair.

"Hey!" I snap and open my eyes to see Henry in front of me. "I'll hit you."

"I know." Henry chuckled. "You've broken my thumb three times."

"I'm naturally vicious." I shrugged and Henry put his hand on my thigh as the elevator doors open. We see Jasper walk out with an American flag onesie on and hair curlers in his hair.

"I'm here!" He announced and we were in disbelief.

"That's an emergency." I point out and hop down from the couch.

"Are you...why would..." Charlotte was confused on why Jasper had hair curlers. "Curlers?"

"What, you thought my hair was naturally curly?" He asked us and I nodded.

"Well, yeah!"

The tube alarm beeped and we see my dad get shot down the tube.

"Heyy." He greeted with a fat smile. "Hello friends! My beautiful daughter! Welcome!"

"Okay."

"Hi dad."

"Yeah, sure."

"And now... I want to introduce you guys to someone very special." My dad began and the alarm beeped again. A woman with black clothing and dark hair got shot down and I felt Henry grab my shoulders.

"Who's that?" Charlotte asked.

"I dunno." Henry and I say.

My dad went up to this woman and helped her down.

"It looks like a woman." Henry mentioned and I rolled my eyes.

"Really, I thought it was an alpaca." I sarcastically mutter and Henry flicked my cheek.

When I saw my dad and this woman kiss, my whole world get thrown upside down.

"What..." I gasped quietly.

"Everyone...this is Gwen." My dad introduced the woman to us and I didn't like her.

"Hi guys." She greeted and we all greeted her with uncertainty.

"Hi..." I weakly wave.

"Uh, hey."

"What's up, Gwen?"

Henry moves passed us and grabbed my dad. "Hey, Ray, can I talk to you for one second?"

My dad continues to smile over the mysterious woman as Henry pulled him over to confront him about the woman.

The woman looked at me and I gave her an awkward smile.

"You must be Ray's daughter, right?" She asked me and I nodded.

"Yeah..." I say and we shake hands. Her hands were oddly cold and I hated it. "Nice to meet you."

"Likewise." She smiled and she had this evil look in her eyes.

"Hey, honey!"

We looked over and saw my dad beaming at Gwen.

"Yes?"

"I bet you'll never guess who this lovable knucklehead really is!"

Henry chuckled, nervously as my dad wrapped an arm around him.

"Dad! No!"

"Ray, don't!"

"Not a good idea!"

"Kid Danger!" My dad admitted and we were in shock.

"Dude!" The four of us gasped.

"It's okay! Gwen even knows that I'm Captain Man and Bella is my daughter." My dad assured us.

The four of us protested against my dad revealing our secrets to some stranger.

"And guess what else..." My dad added as he grabs Gwen's hand. "Gwen and I...we're getting married."

"What..." I gasped and the whole world went black.

The next day, we all were trying to figure out why my father was so hopelessly in love with this woman. My dad would never reveal our secrets to anyone, Jasper and Charlotte were exceptions after my dad agreed to let them know. It just doesn't make sense and my dad promised me that he would only date someone that I was comfortable around and got along with well. Not someone he met last night and now wants to marry this woman.

Charlotte, Schwoz, and I were down in the Man Cave with my dad. My dad was talking on the phone with Gwen and it was pissing me off.

"Okay, he's about to make me puke." I conclude and looked at Schwoz would pulled out a device.

"What's that?" Charlotte asked.

"We can use this to find out why Ray fell in love with that woman so quickly." Schwoz explained to us, charging it up.

"But how can-"

"Shhh!" Schwoz shushed me and we stepped forward. "Ray, come quick to me!"

"Yeah! I'll see you in a few minutes! I love you! Muah!" I rolled my eyes at my dad as he ended the call and went up to us. "Okay, Schwoz, what was it that you wanted to show-"

Schwoz caught my dad off guard by using the device on my dad.

"Ehhhh!" My dad exclaimed and he stumbled forward, dazed out of his mind.

"Charlotte! Catch him!" Schwoz yells.

"Me? Ah!" Charlotte yelled as my dad fell on top of Charlotte, crushing her.

"Good job." I smile at her.

"Now bring him over to the sofa." Schwoz instructed before walking away.

"Need help?" I asked her.

"Yes!" She shouted, struggling underneath my dad's body. "Ah!"

Charlotte and I successfully pulled my dad over to the couch and set him down. My dad's one beefy dude, not a lightweight that's for sure. Charlotte and I collapsed on the couch and sighed as Schwoz pulled out another other device and placed it on my dad's head.

"What are you doing?" Charlotte asked him.

"I am connecting this device to Ray's brain, and converting his cerebral memory impulses into audio and video images so we can see his memories from yesterday, when he first met the lah-day." Schwoz told us.

"When he first met the lah-day!" I mocked and the three of us went behind the machine to watch my dad's memories. Schwoz activated the machine and we were able to see his memory of meeting Gwen.

"Hey! You, there!" My dad called to the woman, who was Gwen

"Me?" Gwen asked.

"What are you doing with that glowing blob?" My dad her and she stood up.

"Uh...nothing."

"That's a lie. I think you're a criminal." My dad remarked and the woman pulled out a box of muffins.

"Are you...hungry?" She asked

"Uhhh...." My dad trailed off and eventually he took one. "Mmm! Yeah, that's really good! That's a good muffin!"

"Captain Man?" Gwen asked as she set down the muffins.

"Yeah?"

"May I kiss you?" Gwen asked and Schwoz, Charlotte, and I share a shocked look.

"Uhhhh...wuhhhh."

Gwen leaned in and kissed my father, which caused my dad's heart rate to increase and all his vitals to grow. Schwoz covered our eyed and I smacked his hand away.

"Now, Captain Man, is there something you wanna tell me?" Gwen asked after she pulled away from the kiss.

"Yeah...I...I love you." My dad admitted and my eyes grew. My dad's emotion levels were sky rocketing.

"That's right." Gwen smiles. "And you always will."

Schwoz switched off the machine and I gasped.

"The muffin!"

"The muffin!" Charlotte agreed.

"Yes! What?" Schwoz asked us.

"Gwen did something to the muffin." I said.

"Like, she must've added some sort of chemical or something, and it made Ray fall in love with her when she kissed him." Charlotte explained and the back door opened. Jasper walked out jamming out to his music.

"Jasper?!" I asked with shock.

"Hey, what's up?" He asked, taking out his earbuds.

"I thought you were upstairs in Junk-N-Stuff with Henry." Charlotte wondered.

"Oh, I was, but Henry wanted to talk to Gwen, so I went-" Jasper informed.

"Gwen!" I exclaimed.

"Ah, geez!"

"No!"

The three of us sprinted to the elevator and Jasper followed behind.

"Wait! I'm running too!" Jasper yelled and we entered the elevator together.

We rode up and ran into the store to see Henry eating a muffin.

"Baby! Don't swallow that muffin!" I warn Henry and Charlotte and I both try to get the muffin out of his mouth.

"It's dangerous!" I cry.

"Use the soap duster!" Schwoz suggested and I took the duster, before using it on Henry's mouth.

"Wait..What?!" Henry gasped, but I cut him off and tried to suck the muffin out of his mouth.

"Out of your month!" I yell and Gwen interrupted us.

"Hey! Let him eat the muffin!"

"You back up!" I snap and I pulled Henry closer to me, but Gwen pulled him towards her. We played tug-a-war with Henry until we accidentally let him go of him and he landed by a table and a statue landed on his head, causing him to pass out.

"Henry!" I cried.

"Oh my god!"

"I know mouth-to-mouth resuscitation!" Jasper announced and kneeled down next to Henry.

"I need to kiss him!" Gwen argued and tries to pulled Jasper away, but he fought her off.

"I'm his best friend!" Jasper yelled and pushed Gwen away. He inhaled and put his mouth on Henry's, blowing into it. Jasper gasped and pulled away and we see Henry coughing and regaining consciousness.

"Henry." I smiled with relief and Jasper and Schwoz helped him up.

"Hen? Hen, are you okay?" Jasper asked him and I put my hand on Henry's shoulder.

Henry looked at Jasper and his eyes turned a pink color. "I...I love you!"

Oh no.

Jasper seemed happy at first, then he realized something and he frowned.

"No, Henry. Quit it." Jasper complained as Henry tried to cuddle with him. "This is not a good time to hug."

"Aww, you have such pretty hair." Henry smiles, petting Jasper's fake curls.

I wasn't jealous, because this is the muffin's doing.

"Henry." I say.

"Great, see what you did?!" Gwen snarled.

"What I did?" I asked.

"Yeah!"

"Hey! Bella's not the one who's been boppin' around here with a big box of mystical muffins!" Charlotte protested for me and I nodded.

"Gwen!"

We turned to see my dad standing there with a loving smile and Gwen opened her arms.

"I was just dreaming about the first time we met." My dad continues as they hold hands

"Hello, my sweet man."

"Ray, no!" Charlotte called.

Jasper got out of Henry's gasp. "Quit, quit it!"

"I can't quit you!" Henry smiles.

"Dad! You don't really love her!"

"Ray, she gave you a bad muffin-" Schwoz couldn't finish because my dad and Gwen hugged, squishing Schwoz in the middle.

"She tricked you!" Charlotte yelled.

"Yah, and she tried to do it to Henry, too!" I added as I pull Schwoz free.

"Except Henry fell in love with Jasper by mistake!" Charlotte exclaimed.

"Aww, my baby's so smart!" My dad cooed and I groaned.

"Could you please make all these people leave so we can be alone?" Gwen asked my dad and I hated that idea.

"All right, everybody out!" My dad announced and I groaned.

"No!"

"Come on, let's go!" My dad rushed us.

"Wait, wait!" I protested, but my dad shoved all of us out of the store, despite our heavy and loud protests and objections.

Ugh.

We decided to go to Henry's house to discuss this love muffin issue. Jasper went up to the door and Henry hugged him.

"No, Nope. Stop it."

"I love you." Henry smiles as Jasper opens the door and leaps away from him. We walk inside but Schwoz had to stay outside, because Henry's parents could be home.

"Okay. Tell me why Gwen would use tainted muffins to make Ray fall in love with her." Jasper began as he sat down on the couch.

"Think about it." I say. "If Captain Man and Kid Danger are so in love, that they can't fight crime, then they can't stop Gwen from doing whatever evil things she wants to do!"

"Okay, then I think we need to figure out how—" Jasper slowly trailed off when Henry started to massage his shoulders and I rolled my eyes. Henry slowly moved up to his face and massaged his face muscles. "Ooo, that feels so nice."

When this is all over, I'll make Henry give me a massage. That sounds nice.

"JASPER!"

We see Piper running down the stairs and she seemed very angry.

What else is new?

"Uh...hey Piper." Jasper greeted with nervousness and I swiftly moved away as she stormed over to us.

"Did you go into my bathroom and take my curling iron?" Piper asked him.

"Uh, yeah, but I-"

"Hey!" Henry interrupted. "Don't you yell at my Jasper!"

"He jacked my girly curly!" Piper protested and she grabbed his eyelashes and tore them off.

"Owwwww!" Jasper cried, standing up. "She yanked off my eyelashes!"

"Piper! You just hurt someone I love!" Henry yelled.

"I didn't hurt Bella!" Piper mentioned and this caught my attention. "But I'm just getting started!"

Henry loves me?

Piper grabbed Jasper and started to flick his face.

Henry was angry and didn't like his sister hurting Jasper.

"Piper, quit that! No! Stop!" Henry yelled, but she ignored him and continued to torture Jasper.

"Now stay outta my bathroom!" Piper threw Jasper over the couch and she ran upstairs after that.

I looked at Henry and he looked like he was about to pass out.

"Henry!" Charlotte and I called and ran to him.

"You okay, baby?" I asked him and helped him up.

"Ah, yeah. I think so." Henry said and looked at Jasper. "Oh, Jasper-"

"No more hugging me." Jasper stopped him.

"Hugging you?" Henry asked. "Ew."

I smiled at this. "Ew? Wait!" I grabbed my boyfriend. "Aren't you in love with Jasper?"

"In love with-what?!" He asked with confusion. "No. No. I'm in love with-" He paused when he saw me and cleared his throat. "This pillow!" He picked up the pillow next to him and I shook my head.

"Okay...okay, this is awesome!" Charlotte began and Henry put down the pillow.

"What is? How come Henry doesn't love me anymore?" Jasper asked, hurtfully.

"I think 'cuz when Piper was harassing you, it made Henry feel really angry." Charlotte explained.

"So?"

"When you feel strong emotions, your body releases chemicals into your brain." Charlotte continued and I rubbed Henry's back when I saw him rub his face more.

"You okay?" I asked him and he nodded.

"I think so."

"Oh...." Jasper gasped. "So, like, when Henry felt anger, it drove out his feelings of love?"

"Yeah, I think that's what happened!" Charlotte nodded.

"Oh, okay, so now. All I gotta do I make Ray like, insanely mad, so he'll fall outta love with Gwen?" Henry asked us.

"Well, but—how are you gonna get him mad enough?" Charlotte asked and I had an idea, but Jasper beat me to it.

"Cheat on Bella!"

"Yes!" Henry agreed.

"Huh?!" I asked. "Cheat on me? That would make me upset."

"I would just say I cheated on you, and than your dad would get really angry and pick a fight with me." Henry explained.

"Come on! Ray could kill you! You can't pick a fight with Ray!" Charlotte objected.

"Well, one of us is gonna have to do it." Henry reasoned. "And I think the boyfriend of Bella should."

"Okay."

"Sounds cool."

"Did you cheat on me?" I asked Henry.

"No! I would never!" He exclaimed.

"But you massaged Jasper's face!"

"I-what?!" Henry exclaimed and turned to Jasper who nodded.

"It's true."

Henry grabbed my hand and we left his house to see Schwoz getting harassed by three young punks.

"Hey, hey, hey! Get outta here!"

"Pick on someone your own size!"

"Move along, you scums!"

"Delinquents!"

The three boys ran away and Schwoz stood up.

"Jerks!" Schwoz scolded and threw a stick at them.

"C'mon, let's get to the Man Cave." Henry said and we ran ahead.

We got back to the Man Cave and we had devised a plan. Henry will say he cheated on me and then my dad will get upset, then his feeling of love with go away, and then we'll capture Gwen.

Once Gwen left, Henry popped out.

"Sooo...Charlotte!"

Charlotte popped out. "Yeah, Henry?"

"So, have I told you about this amazing girl I met the other day?" Henry began and my dad raised an eyebrow.

"No, I don't think you did." She remarked. "Please tell me about her.

"Hey, what was her name again?" Jasper popped up and walked over to them.

Schwoz popped up. "Yeah!"

"Fiona." Henry sighed. "She's beautiful."

They all agreed at Henry's statement, but my dad interrupted.

"Wait, wait, a second you guys." My dad said.

"Yeah, what's up, buddy?" Henry asked and my dad got up.

"Just a friendly reminder, Hen. You've been dating my daughter for almost two months, so." He remind Henry. "And I would suggest you don't cheat on my little girl."

"Well, yeah, but..." Henry began and I watched him walk forward. "But, she's kind of old news now and I need something fresh."

"What did you say?" My dad asked, clenching his fist.

"I said she's old news and I need something better." He repeated.

"Did you just insult my daughter?" My dad asked him.

"Listen-"

"I allowed you to date my daughter and this is how you treat her?" My dad asked him, grabbing his shoulders. "You know that?"

Henry looked at me and I motioned him to continue.

"Well, she has a weird obsession with tv shows and-"

"What did you just say about Arabella?" My dad asked him.

"I said she had a weird obsession with tv shows and tonight I'm gonna go meet Fiona for our date." Henry remarked and sat down.

"You promised me you wouldn't hurt my daughter!" My dad exclaimed.

"Or maybe...I lied to you." Henry smirked and my dad glared at Henry and turned away.

"How dare you!"

"Face it, Ray. I cheated on Bella, I don't want her!" Henry said. "I want Fiona! You know why? She's way better looking than your daughter."

"No!"

"Oh, yes! She's gorgeous!" Henry protested.

"That's enough!" My dad snarled.

"I'm gonna kiss Fiona so good!" Henry mocked and pretended to kiss someone. "Oh, Henry, you kiss me so good! Your lips feel like hot pie!"

My dad had enough and charged at Henry. "Ahhhh!"

My dad grabbed Henry and tossed him over to the elevator. I gasped and stood up from my spot.

Henry stood up as my dad marched over to him. "It's not my fault that I like other girls!" My dad grabbed him and Henry yelled.

My dad threw him down and Charlotte kneeled to his level. "Keep going! You have to make him madder."

"Yeah, I'm working on tha-"

My dad grabbed him and tossed him over to the monitor. Henry stood up out of breathe.

"Come on! You ain't so bad!"

My dad threw a punch, but Henry dodged it and grabbed my dad, but he threw Henry off.

Jasper went to Henry's level. "This is so cool to watch!"

"I'm glad you're having a good time!" Henry exhaled with exhaustion and pain.

My dad grabbed Henry and shoved him over to the stairs. Henry kicked my dad in the stomach and my dad stumbled back.

"You don't wanna know how long I've been cheating on Bella!" Henry mentioned, sighing heavily.

"Bella should be the only girl!" My dad yelled and flipped Henry onto his back.

"Henry!" I gasped, running over to him and we all, besides my dad, helped him up.

We helped him up and Henry was completely out of it and was very weak. We looked over and saw my dad had grabbed a blaster.

"Uh-oh!"

"Dad, don't!" I begged him.

"Ahhh, Ooh, uh!" My dad was losing control of his body and I think our plan was working.

"You did it! It's working!" I smile and my dad fell to the floor.

We rushed over to him to help him up and sat him down at the monitor.

"Ah, What happened?" My dad asked us with confusion and he sighed. "I was in love with a woman, uh...Gwen!"

"She gave you a love muffin." Schwoz told him.

"Yeah, and then I had to make you really mad so your feelings of rage and anger would overpower your muffin-induced feelings of love." Henry explained and I grabbed his arm to stabilize him.

"That makes sense." My dad nodded. "But, if you ever hurt my daughter. I will kill you."

"Noted."

The sprocket opened and my dad motioned us to hide.

"Quick, hide!"

The five of us ran off and hid. I helped Henry behind the couch and we watched my dad and Gwen talk.

"Okay, Ray, I'm about to leave it should take me about twenty minutes to rob the bank." Gwen told my dad as she walked down the stairs in her costume.

"Uh, that sounds great." My dad smiled.

"Oh hey, how do you like my ponytail?" She asked him and I scoffed, but Henry covered my mouth.

"I love it." My dad said. "I mean, it's really cute and just so-Ahhh!" I peaked my head over and saw my dad had ripped her ponytail out of her head.

"Owwwww!" She cries and I giggled. "You just ripped my ponytail off my head! You're...you're not in love with me anymore!"

Henry, Jasper, and I stood up.

"Yeah, he's not." I say and Schwoz and Charlotte reveal themselves.

"Sorry, Gwen." Charlotte said.

"How do you like dem muffins?" Jasper asked her.

"And now, Gwen, I'd be honored to escort you to prison." My dad offered and was about to grab her, but Gwen lifted up her phone. Henry grabbed me and we all froze.

"Look out!"

"She's got a phone!"

"Oh my god!" I fake cried.

"So?" My dad asked.

"Who cares?" Henry asked, letting my arms go.

"You better care because if I tap here, it's gonna send a post out telling the whole world that Ray Manchester is Captain Man, and that Henry Hart is Kid Danger." Gwen threatens as she backs up to the tubes and Henry kept his arm in front of me.

"Anything about me?" Jasper asked and I rolled my eyes.

"You let me go, and I'll keep your secret." Gwen negotiated. "Deal?"

Henry and my dad muttered to one another about this.

"Do we have a deal or don't we?" Gwen repeated.

"Yeah, we've got a deal-for now." My dad agreed and she put her phone away.

"But someday you're going to jail." Henry added an I grabbed his arm.

"I doubt it." Gwen smirked and the tube encases her. "Buh-bye, boys and girls!" She looked up, but she didn't move. "Off I go!" She put her hand up, but nothing happened. I giggled and Henry put his arm around my shoulders. "Okay, what words do I have to say to activate the tube suckage?"

"Oh yeah, it's "Diamonds, rubies, lift me...tubies."  I tell her and Henry kissed my cheek, whispering in my ear.

"I was gonna say that."

"Thank you." Gwen said and looked up. "Diamonds, rubies, lift me tubies."

We all began to laugh at her. I can't believe she fell for that.

"I will tap this button, I swear I'll tap it!" She threatened and we became quiet.

"Just say 'Up the tube.'" Charlotte informed her.

"Up the tube." Gwen shouted and she was gone.

I sighed. "Whew! This whole thing was insane!"

"Yeah, no kidding." Henry agreed.

"Well, at least we all learned something valuable." Schwoz stated.

"What'd we learn?" Jasper asked.

"We all learned that no matter how strong love is...anger is stronger." Schwoz told us and we all agreed with him.

"That's true."

As I mentioned before, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday I will be at a dance convention/competition. I'm competing my acro solo tonight and I'll be busy all day on Saturday and Sunday, so I won't be writing all weekend, but I have three chapters prewritten and ready to be published. So, you will be blessed with a chapter each day, but I can't promise I'll have a chapter up on Monday. Wish me luck tonight😊❤️
