Time skip 2 weeks (It's late November, and it's Sunday) 

Claudia pov

I've been trying to find a new hobby since I have a lot of free time over the weekend because I don't go to church anymore. I've been trying to get into art, I think I've been doing well. I've watched a few tutorials but I still can't get the hands right. I'm currently trying to draw a portrait of Tanya, but it's not looking the best. As I was erasing a few lines Tanya bust into the room, making the door hit the wall very hard.

"CLAUDIA!" she yells. I jump out of fear and drop my sketch book and pencil, "Tanya! Your going to give me a heart attack one day. And your going to make a hole in the wall!" I yell back at her. "Sorry Baby, you know I love you but I have an idea that I've been wanting to do for a while" Tanya says walking over to me. "What's the idea?" I ask.

"Well... I want to cut my hair. I've been thinking about doing it for a few months, but i'm sure about it now" Tanya says. I hold Tanya's hands and look at her eyes, "If your sure this is what you want, then i'll be happy to go and support you". Tanya then pulls me into a hug, "Thank you" she says into my neck while I hug her back. Tanya and I then hop in the shower together, and get dressed. While getting dressed Tanya calls a salon and sets an appointment.

Since it's late November I made sure Tanya and I dressed in some layers. Once we were dressed, Tanya and I headed to the car. Tanya opened my door as always, then she got in on her side. Tanya then started the car and started driving to the hair salon she was telling me about in the shower.

Sha'Tanya pov

I pull up to the hair salon and park the car. I get out and open the car door for Claudia, we both then go inside the salon. I never been to a salon like this before, it's so unique and pretty.

"Woah" Claudia and I said at the same time. We both laughed at ourselves syncing up are words. I then look around the shop and see no one there, so I walk father in and say "Hello? Is anyone there? I have an appointment with Carli Clockworks". I hear  a pair of heels walk around the corner and see a woman with a colorful apron.

The woman walks up to me with a big smile and her hand held out, "Hi, i'm Carli Clockworks. You must be my 5:30" she says shaking my hand. "Um, yeah, i'm Sha'Tanya Jackson. I uh didn't expect you... to be uh..." I say but Carli cuts me off, "White, yeah I know. But don't worry,  I've worked with African hair before. Now you can follow me so we can get started while your friend waits here in the waiting room". I nod my head and follow Carli down the hall as Claudia sits down and picks up a magazine.

Carli leads me to a chair and tells me to sit and I do. "So, what would you like today?" Carli asked. "Um, well I would like to cut my hair" I say a bit nervously. Carli then gives a fake pout and says, "Break-up?" I laugh a bit, "No no no, that was my girlfriend that came with me" I say. "Oh cool, I have a girlfriend, well 2 actually. So your trying to become a stud?" Carli says. I feel my face heat up, "Um, well uh sorta" I stutter out. She giggles at me a bit, "So how short do you want it?" Carli ask. "Well , I'm not sure, I just want it short, but not to short" I say. Carli nods her head thoughtfully and then handed be a magazine, "Page 6-7" is all Carli said. I flip to that page and look at all the styles. After about a minute or so, I see the perfect style. "That one" I say smiling. Carli smiles also, "That one will look hot on you" Carli says. "Let's get started" I say sitting back in the chair.

45 minutes later

Claudia pov

I'm so freaking bored, I've been sitting here for almost a hour. Right when I was about to fall asleep, Carli walked out with a huge smile. "Now introducing the new and improved Sha'Tanya" Carli says dramatically while doing jazz hands. Tanya then comes around the corner and my jaw drops.

Tanya walks over to me with a anxious look. "W-woah, Tanya, you look so... so different." I say staring at her hair. Tanya's smile then starts to fall, "D-do you not like it?" she ask. I quickly grab her hands, "No no no, I meant a good different. If you like it then I like it" I say kissing her cheek. "S-so you still love me?" Tanya ask shyly. "Of course you doofus. Your hair won't change that" I say pulling her into a kiss. After a few seconds Carli says, "Awww, you two are so cute. You guys remind of my girlfriends Zaya and Marley". Tanya and I pull apart and laugh a bit. "I really like you guys, maybe we can hang out one day. OH! Maybe a double date" Carli says, her smile even bigger. "That sounds fun" I say excitedly. We all exchange numbers, and then Tanya and I head to the car.

"Tanya?" I ask while we pull out the parking lot. "Yea, Babe?" Tanya replies. "Can we go buy some snacks from the store and have another movie date?" I say. Tanya nods her head and we start driving to Walmart. When we get there I get a cart and Tanya put's me in it, saying i'm her 'Baby'. She pushes me around and we make jokes while laughing loudly. I jump out the cart when we get to the candy isle and start picking out my favorites. Out of the corner of my eyes, I see the last people I wanted to see. Tanya must of noticed my quietness because she ask, "What's wrong?" she ask. "Look" is all I say. Tanya looks and see's my parents and Genesis. Tanya glares at them and they glare back. Genesis then see's us and tries to come over, but my father grabs her shoulders. Genesis pouts and gives a small wave and I wave back. Tanya and I leave the store and go home, while I have a sour taste in my mouth.
