Homeward Bound

Ruby didn't want to go back

To the place she hated.

Busted Gulch seemed to lack

A little bit of magic.

But the thought of little Rosie

Forced Ruby to make a decision.

Each kitten was piled into the wagon.

Squeaking excitedly, they attempted to climb out.

Ruby and the kittens were headed

Back to

Busted Gulch.

To find Rosie

and if he had not been swayed into

believing he was a house cat,

Jasper would be with them too.

Bessy got loose halfway there

And all Ruby could do was

Fall down and cry in despair.

"Oh dear,

This isn't fair!"

Bessy would be found

By someone

As Ruby was sure Bessy was

Homeward bound.

Ruby picked herself up and dragged the cart onward.

Rosie had to be in Busted Gulch,

and Ruby wanted to be sure that

no one else found her.
