18. Utter Bullshit

Bugs Stilinski never believed in true love like his brother, the concept always seemed like a perfect myth. It just wasn't possible.

He thought the whole idea of falling for someone mind and body was a complete fraud, and calling them home was utter bullshit.

Of course that was all before he had tasted the soft lips of Malia Tate and remembered the she was his reality and not just a dream. He never believed that someone's touch could soothe the darkest of his thoughts until her small palms rubbed smooth circles against his own flesh. No, Bugs never believed that someone could be called home until it was the middle of the night and he woke up doused in sweat and she was there. Her soft exhales would touch his skin as her body once against shifted to fit his and that would be that, he would remember that indeed someone could be called home. Because no one fit exactly like Malia did with him and he wouldn't have it any other way.

He realized this the morning after everything had happened, sitting in bed with Malia as her bare shoulder poked out of the sheets they both were under. His fingers playing with her long brown hair as Malia's sleeping form just laid with him, one of her bare legs and arms wrapped over his body while her slow breaths touched his bare chest.

Bugs knew there was probably a million to one question needed to be answered and even though the Deadpool was done it didn't mean for him everything else had stopped. He knew Scott and Stiles would be even more relentless to figure out just what had happened to him and eventually everyone else including Malia would find out.

Bugs however could give less of a shit as he laid perfectly comfortable with his girlfriend next to him, knowing no one was out to get her or the people he loved the most. He felt happy for once.

In fact, he didn't even want to get up. Which is precisely the moment Malia's head lifted, her soft hair falling over her shoulders as brown eyes bore into green ones with slight determination. "You know we have to get up right? We can't just lay in bed all day. And someone should go wake up Stiles, he's still snoring. You've got an early practice for tomorrow's game."

Her arm held the rest of her body up as she turned to look at him over her shoulder, daring him to not answer. Instead the eldest Stilinski twin simply smiled brightly at her, pulling both arms behind his chest as he stared at her. "You know, I could honestly give a fuck about a lacrosse game. I just want to lay in bed with my beautiful girlfriend, fuck her, and get something to eat and then probably do it all over again."

Malia raised an eyebrow at him, a grin escaping her perfect pout as Bugs looked at her questioningly. The brunette beauty sighed heavily before lifting herself. Bugs facial expression turned to one of confusion as Malia balance on the bed until she stood atop it, setting one foot between his still laying body as she stared down at him. Her arms crossed over one another as she pronounced every word slowly, "we need to go. And as appealing as you made it sound Bugs Bunny... I really need to graduate and Stiles really needs to get better at Lacrosse. So let's go. We can do all that afterwards, promise."

Bugs stared up at her, marveling over her long legs as his favorite Flash t-shirt just barely covered the top of her thighs. He licked his lips as he made one decision, thinking over his past words. The boys hands wrapped around Malia's knees, pushing them down until she was sitting over his lap. The girl letting out a small huff of protest before Bugs was wrapping his pal over one side of her jaw, his thumb brushing against her bottom lip.

"What are you doing?" Malia questioned, distracted by his hand at her thigh and the other brushing her lips. The sensation of tingles from his palms making her hum in excitement as she laid her head against his palm. He quickly brought her head to tap against his, Malia's long brown hair masking their faces from the illuminated room.

"I've killed people Malia. I don't want to lie to you... But I've murdered so many I don't even know the number." Bugs quickly spoke his breath hitched as the words left his mouth, using a low voice just incase Stiles had woken.

Malia didn't even flinch, her gaze unwavering as she asked. "Why are you telling me this?"

"Because I don't want to lie to you. I don't want to lie to anyone, and I'm gonna tell them all but I just wanted you to know first." A deep breath escaping his lips as he quickly stumbled over the end of his words. "I don't know if that changes anything or if it should but you know now and you can decide what to do with it."

Malia took a few deep breaths, just exhaling as she processed his last few words. She had always known there was something different about Bugs Stilinski, ever since that first time when in her coyote form he had barely flinched when she had bared her teeth at him. The then animal had thought like an actual person for the first time in years, finding it intriguing as he seemed not to have an ounce of power to his smell yet the boy radiated strength like no other. She could smell the lack of real fear in his body, noticing instead how he took a step closer towards the lanky boy and even the almighty alpha beside him. Malia had actually given thought to him then, fascinated by him.

And even now she still felt that same curiosity peek as she stared into his green eyes and felt real power coursing through his veins, which she knew scared him.

Malia pressed her lips together, noticing how Bugs calm demeanor was deteriorating the longer she stayed silent. Honestly, the brunette was still trying to figure out how to put her response, emotions weren't her forte as she had previously explained.

So she did the one thing that was certain to make Bugs understand.

She kissed him, catching him by surprise as his eyes widened and breath cut short. She planted one long peck on him, gripping the back of his head closely before pulling away as she sucked in a huge breath. "I don't care if you've killed people, in case you're wondering I'm in no place to judge. I don't care because I know you don't do it for yourself and whatever you've done it for its for us, for Stiles, Scott, Lydia, Kira, and me. You'd only do it for good reason and that doesn't make you a bad person, and if they have a problem with that then screw them. I'll deal with them all."

Bugs couldn't help but smile, hell full on grin at her. Malia really was the missing piece to his soul, the place he could call home and undoubtedly his soulmate.

"I love you." Bugs spoke to the girl, letting the words go effortlessly. "And you don't have to answer me back, you don't have to even say a thing but I just want you to know that if anything ever happens to me. If I'm not here to be good guy in a bad situation I just want you to know that I love you and I did it all for you, all of those idiots we call friends, and my family."

And the brown eyed girl simply kissed him once more, and Bugs didn't need an answer. He knew that regardless of her saying it or not she might not have been in love with him like he was... but she was damn near close.

Malia had miraculously passed her math exam, to which Bugs could have never been more delighted to see. He knew she was well on her way to graduating right beside the rest of the pack and he couldn't have been more excited to get out of Beacon Hills and start the rest of their lives. Now they just needed to get through the rest of the year without incident.

The lacrosse game was later in the day and now they were all just laying around Bugs room, waiting for the moment to go, Stiles included. Malia was laying on her stomach on the bed, reading a book while Bugs was right beside her. Stiles was in the computer chair tossing around a lacrosse ball as they all debated wether to eat dinner at home or grab something to eat at the nearest fast food place.

"So you actually handed Kira Star Wars? Like something for them to both watch on date night?" Bugs asked his brother with amusement, his fingers dancing across Malia's bare leg as she was far too concerned with the textbook in front of her.

"Yeah? What's wrong with that?" Stiles questioned, halting throwing the ball up in the air.

"Well I mean for one, Scott's an idiot and unless we are there to explain it he won't understand shit and then there's the fact that you've just handed them an instant mood killer." Bugs explained, rolling his eyes at his younger brother.

"Star Wars does not kill the mood." Stiles scoffed.

"Yeah, it does." Malia retorted dryly, not looking up from her reading.

"Listen to the pretty lady." Bugs pointed to his girlfriend, who simply nodded in response.

Stiles narrowed his eyes, probably to answer with a sarcastic comment when their dad burst into the room. He had a bright smile on his handsome face, clapping his hands together to get their attention. "Drop what you're doing. I'm taking you both out to dinner. Whatever you want."

Bugs and Stiles looked at one another in confusion, the younger one being the first to speak. "Dad, I don't think a man of your debts should be treating anyone to anything."

"Well, there's one debt we no longer have to worry about." Their father answered back, holding up a piece of paper that Bugs instantly snatched from his hands as he read, Stiles peering over his shoulder to understand as well.

"What is that? - A letter of apology from Eichen House." Bugs spoke up, finishing the first paragraph, he couldn't belief what his eyes had just shown him.

Sheriff nodded in happiness. "Apparently, they've decided to forgive our debt due to... Well, Stiles and Lydia almost getting murdered."

"Holy shit. They can do that?" Bugs answered, Stiles also looking up startled.

"They can do it and they did it."

"I have never been so happy to have almost been murdered." Stiles commented, earning an eye roll from his brother.

"Well, we're not out of it yet. But... We're going to be okay. And at least for the moment, I can afford to take my sons and Bugs beautiful girlfriend out to dinner." He smiled, Malia smiling at the man as he turned to her and asked, "Malia, what's your favorite food?"

"Deer." She retorted straight faced.

"Oh god." Stiles retorted.

"Pizza. She likes pizza." Bugs shot back with a smile, ignoring his fathers rather confused state.

"Are you sure you can't just use someone else's helmet?"

"What?" Bugs face twisted into a disgusted expression at his brothers words. Using one of his hands to hold the phone up to his ear and the other to close the door to thumper he quickly climbed up the stairs to his home. "No, that's disgusting. I already have to deal with my own sweat I'm not using someone else's."

"Okay, just hurry. It's bad enough we can't reach Kira and Scott. We're going to need you."

"Yeah, yeah. I'll go check on them while I'm at it. The game doesn't start for another forty five minutes I can make it." Bugs retorted, fumbling as he tried to open his front door. The door sometimes stuck due to its age so he needed to use both hands to open it. "You sure you don't need anything? Where's Malia?"

"She's outside waiting for us, equally nervous about you going off on your own. And no, I've got all my stuff unlike some of us."

Bugs rolled his eyes as he managed to get the door open. "Okay, I get it. It's a good thing I brought thumper though. I'll call you when I'm on my way. And stop worrying, the deadpools gone and everything fine. I'll see you soon asshole."

He hung up the phone then, heading straight for the stairs when a clearing of a throat interrupted his thinking. Immediately the boy reached for the first thing he saw which just so happened to be a glass picture frame. His hand went back to throw it at the intruder when he caught site of who it was.

"Nice reflexes, although I would have just flung the entire cabinet. Much more effective."

Peter Hale stood in the middle of the Stilinski living room, an amused grin to his lips. His arms were crossed casually as he spoke to the eldest twin brother, like they were old pals reuniting. Except they were far from that and Peter knew it which was exactly why he grinned heavily at the boy.

Bugs stilled for a moment, his body attempting to kickstart the adrenaline rush that would inevitably happen to him. This was Peter Hale and wherever the former alpha was everyone had to be on high alert because of his conniving ways.

"Well you know get a closer and let me show you what real damage I can cause with just this one thing." Bugs answered through gritted teeth, his hold on the frame tightening, for a split second he thought he might actually be strong enough to break it. With the anger coursing through his body for Peter he just might.

"Oh I know exactly what you can do Bugs the Savage. How well you fit the name, almost like your entire life has been leading up to these moments. Tell me how did it feel to take a life for the first time? To hold the persons very soul within your arms and then crush it to pieces? You know, us Sociopaths live for a moment like this." Peter drones on, digging the metaphorical knife of guilt further into Bugs spine. The green eyed boy had no idea how he had even known about what had occurred and for a brief second it came to his mind that maybe Peter Hale was actually the devil. That would be the only explanation to him knowing all of these things.

The boy didn't notice how his stance was getting far more aggressive the longer Peters voice echoed into his head, not until his body forcibly sucked in air and he finally came out of his own cloud of anger to see the smirk plastered on the Hales face. "What the hell do you want? Why are you standing in my house."

"Can't a man come see his son-in-law? I must say I'm surprised at my own liking of you Bugs, I don't think I could imagine her with anyone more suited to be a Hale than you... well maybe it would be best if you were a wolf." Peter answered, casually rambling.

Bugs grit his teeth, seething at the mention of Malia and the way Peter spoke as if he had a hold on her. "You have no right whatsoever to even think you hold a finger over Malia. She's not your daughter, just because some confused women decided to let you go free willy inside her doesn't mean what happens after is yours. Malia belongs to no one but herself and much less to you. Get that through your fucking skull or I will write it on a piece of paper and crack your skull open to set it inside. Do we fucking understand one another?"

Peter didn't even fazed by the grotesque picture Bugs painted for him, in fact it only seemed to make his smile grow. His eyes briefly drifted down to the ground where Bugs had subconsciously taken steps closer to him, almost five feet away as he now stood in the middle of the living room. Prepared to square up with the supernatural man. "Oh come on Bugs, I can't have the mini me pissed. You're my favorite of your weak little pack, you I see something in, even more then Malia."

"Don't you fucking talk about any of them like that." Bugs snarled, convincing himself that it wasn't wise to pick a fight with Peter, no matter how dormant his powers still were. He didn't care for Peter, he had never and that certainly wouldn't stop now that Malia was his father. In the past all he had done was ignore him, let Stiles take the anger front but now it seemed like he couldn't get rid of the blue eyed demon. Whenever he turned there was either talk of his or Malia's questions... and in this case he stood directly in front of him. "After what you've done, you're lucky Scotts letting you live."

"Bugs, Bugs, Bugs... can't we let bygones be bygones? That was years ago and I didn't hurt your family." Peter exhaled, clearly bored with the boys aggression.

"Really? You nearly killed Lydia, turned Scott, killed others in town and kickstarted this whole fucking mess we've been thrown into for fucking years. If it weren't for you none of this would have involved us! We would have been regular teenagers! And now you're the reason for the deadpool, you're the one who put his own daughter on the list and then sent me to kill her! What the hell is wrong with you!" Bugs yelled, holding in the real monster waiting to be set loose.

"Don't you go throwing those accusations at me! So maybe I did do some of those things but no one forced you to commit murder! I certainly didn't! You were all too willing to kill more and are still! Don't deny it, that basic instinct you have in yourself Bugs! It's all you and there's no one else to blame for it!" Peter roared, finally giving away some real emotion to the boy. "You're not a little boy who can easily wash away the crimes Bugs! You're a sociopath with blood and lives tattooed to your skin! Everyone of those people you killed, that you savagely ripped to shreds is because of a decision you made! One you felt comfortable enough to do! So man up, and take some goddam responsibility because I may seem like the big bad wolf lurking behind the shadows but you're the only villain in this story."

His words hit home, knocking some clarity into Bugs as each words sliced at the delicate walls constantly being built and rebuilt it seemed. He had thought that the worst was behind him, maybe just maybe he would be able to move on and know that what had happened could be justified but something about Peters words felt right. Maybe he was the villain of his own story? Maybe that was just what he had been missing this whole time?

His green eyes shut tightly, processing the information. He could feel Peters presence still very much near as the last of his hold was let loose and his eyes sprung back open with a response. "I'm going to kill you. I'm going to make you proud and slather the walls with your blood until your arteries are holding onto the last bit of it possible. I'm going to gut you and then show you your inside, I want to see the fear in your eyes right until the last moment Peter. I'm going to be the end of you and I won't feel an ounce of regret about it afterwards. Who knows maybe I'll make you proud of me and own up to my psychotic ways before I end you once and for all. You know Derek might not have been able to keep you six feet under before but I'll be sure you're cemented to hell."

Peters lips lifted into a small smile of encouragement, nodding slowly and turning to the open patio doors. He left a shaking Bugs glued to the ground as the boys head merely tilted to look his way. He was going to leave quietly, going to let the boy bask in the possibility that maybe he would be able to murder the once alpha but that wasn't in his nature. He wasn't going to let it go that easily.

So Peters head turned back to the still quaking Bugs, "you know you better be right about killing me or next time we see one another I'll stick my hand into your chest to see if you've actually got a heart and if by some miracle you do I'll rip it out and make Malia and your brother watch."

He forget about the game. He forget about the matchup that would send his team to playoffs and possibly another championship. He forgot it all and honestly he could have cared less about it.

Bugs didn't know how long he watched the patio door, his eyes like a hawk as they continued to view the drapes flapping around from the wind and cold night air hitting his skin. It was like Peter was somehow still present, having infected the room with his poison. All Bugs wanting to do was burn the place down as it had been tainted by the devil himself and his family did not deserve to live in that mess.

Honestly nothing else was much of importance to him other than his last conversation. Somehow, someway he was going to do it... he would be killing Peter Hale even if he died in doing so. His mind was made up, there was no going back. Peter Hale had numbered days, and only Bugs Stilinski knew how many.

His fists tightened once more, the thousands of thoughts circling his mind pausing as the incessant buzzing to his phone once again caught his attention. It had to have been the twentieth time that it had occurred, but not until now had he actually taken an interest into answering. Honestly, he had considered chucking the thing at the window at one point.

Now however he had taken the moment to pick up the call noticing the time before clicking answer. The game was over and it was Stiles calling so odds were he was pissed and wanting to know what had happened.

Well he had assumed as much until right when his phone lifted to his ear the front door burst open with a beanie wearing Malis stepped in. She looked relieved as she caught site of him, "oh my god. Where the hell have you been?"

"Bugs! You're alive! Thank god! I thought you were dead!"

His brothers voice combined with Malia's relief immediately put him on alert and snapped him back into focus as his girlfriend crossed the room to examine him closely. Bugs in the meanwhile asked either of them, "what in the hell is going on?"

Malia titled his head to check both side of his neck and face before answering. "You didn't show up, neither did Scott and Kira. Somethings happening Bugs, something big and we need to find out."

"Meet us at the loft."

With that being said and his question answered Bugs set down the picture frame and followed his light brown haired girlfriend out of the house.

Malia didn't ask about why he didn't show up to the game, in fact she barely said two words to Bugs the entire ride. All she did was keep his hand in her lap as her finger danced with his own and her eyes stared straight ahead. Bugs knew something was on her mind but he chose not to question her because odds were she would let him know eventually.

They quickly got out of the car, Bugs wrapping an arm around Malia as he remembered Peter could be lurking somewhere inside. He had also realized something as they walked up the stairs to where Kira and Scott had been, there was no way it was a coincidence that both his friends disappeared and Peter showed up to antagonize him. There was something there, Peter didn't seem like the type to stay quiet about his accomplishment and Bugs realized that maybe him showing up to his house was his way of outing himself as the one responsible.

Stiles was waiting, Derek pulling in the same moment the eldest twin did as well. The Hale man didn't hesitate to pull apart the loft doors with his key and expose the remains of a once romantic night.

There was broken walls and glass everywhere, the place almost resembling the epicenter of an earthquake as not one thing was still proper.

"What the hell happened?" Derek Hale was the first to speak as the only sounds up until that moment were their footsteps cracking upon glass as they inspected the place.

"It was supposed to be a date." Stiles explained, swallowing thickly as he realized his best friend had been missing for a day.

"They were both here?" Malia spoke aloud, her eyes looking around to the other people in the room.

Bugs nodded, just imaging the sheer chaos that had happened. "And they're both gone."

A cell phone broke their observing, Stiles quick to reach into his skinny jeans and find the small device. "Hey."

His fingers pressed the speaker key just as Lydia's voice spoke. "Scott's been taken."

Stiles clarified for the strawberry blonde with sadness. "Scott and Kira. We just don't know where."

"Mexico." Deatons voice spoke into the cellphone, slightly whispery as he further detailed. "And if you want to save his life, that's where you're going too."

And Bugs had a gut feeling that the vets words would bring in onslaught of disaster to their already corrupted lives.
