A few days later the prototypes were finally completed. Autho ordered them to fly down to the planet they were orbiting over. The engineering teams took them down and set up the robots to be tested out. Ligh watched the others as Autho looked over the machines. They figured if there was a malfunction, it would be easier to control on the planet.

"I don't know about this Arium..." Ligh mumbled, he looked over Keyshot and made sure he was functioning properly. The medic gripped his shoulder and watched the others.

"What are you uncertain about?" He asked as he stood the machine up.

"I... don't think... he's a fighter." Ligh mumbled as he turned him on. He flinched as he saw one of the prototypes blow up.

"Can the two technologies... actually work together?" He asked. "Can he achieve what we need him to?" He said.

"I feel you are speaking of yourself and not what we designed. " the medic said slowly. The young Galra looked at the ground as his ears went down. They perked up again as he heard something.

He watched as a robot about eight feet tall was being inspected. He looked at Keyshot who was an inch or two shorter than seven feet tall. He listened to the team and they talked about a certain feature. Autho told them to demonstrate and the robot straightened up. It scanned the area then looked directly at Ligh.

::Galra detected.:: it said and walked towards him. He hesitated and stepped back in fear.

"Don't run." Arium said seriously as he gripped his shoulders from behind. Autho was yelling at them to stop it. They said they were trying to as they typed.

::Galra detected.:: it said as it got closer and extended a blade from its hand.

"A-Arium...." he said nervously and his heartbeat quickened with fear.

Keyshot glanced at them and scanned him then looked at the approaching threat. The robot was a few feet away and it raised its blade. Keyshot ran and punched the machine with an upper cut. It groaned as it stumbled back. Keyshot hit it again and again repeatedly until it fell on its back. He punched it in the chest repeatedly as quickly as he could. He grabbed it's face then crushed it before ripping the head off. He stood up straight and glanced at the engineers that created him.

The air was still and silent as everyone watched intently. He walked over to the captain and stopped a few feet away.  Keyshot dropped the head at the feet of the captain and stared at him.

"What... in the name...." Autho trailed off and looked at the robot. It stared blankly then looked across the dead planet.

"Can you make more of these?" Autho asked as he looked at him. Ligh hesitated and looked at Arium as he thought.

"The... materials....are hard to come by... it's... he's made of Galra and Altean technology-" Ligh was cut off when Autho smacked him.

"You idiot! That's impossible to find! Why are you such a failure at even the smallest task?!" He yelled angrily and went to punch him.

The captains fist stopped suddenly as Keyshot grabbed his wrist. He looked at the man and squeezed a little as he thought about snapping it. Ligh stared in surprise as he watched the robot. He looked at Arium and noticed his expression was blank.

He stared at the other two and wondered what would happen. Could he stop the robot? Autho grunted in pain and surprise as he stared at it. His arm shook and he grit his teeth angrily. The robot stared at him for a long time as he debated.

::Don't harm them.:: he said seriously and let go of his now bruised wrist. Autho grunted and stepped back as he held his hand close to him.

"I want that monster destroyed." He spat and glared at them. "It's useless if we can't build more anymore anyway." He turned and looked at the others. "I've decided which one I want built. All the others are to be broken down and destroyed. We'll use the parts to build these." He gestured to the one Keyshot killed. He looked at Ligh and Arium as he narrowed his eyes.

"No exceptions." He growled angrily and walked away to the ship. Ligh stared after him then looked at Keyshot. He smiled sadly then sighed forcefully as he walked to the ship.

Ligh quietly watched the others as they ripped apart their robots. He looked over at Keyshot who was sitting by Arium. Treble was talking to them and listening to what happened on the planet. He smiled a little and stared at the tools in his hands. They put so much work into 6.29 and it felt wrong to end him so soon. But he had to. He sighed forcefully and stood up then walked over to them.

Treble looked up and smiled as he approached. She noticed the tools in his hands then glanced at the others. She paled and her smile disappeared. Arium watched him quietly and furrowed his brow. He knew they were ordered to do this, but it didn't feel right. Ligh hesitated then slowly pulled his tool out to begin.

"No!" Treble screamed and hugged the robot tightly. Keyshot seemed confused and looked at her. The machine became aware of the others and watched them get destroyed.

Some managed to cry out before they were silenced. He didn't understand why they were killing his brothers. He looked at Ligh knowing he was next. The robot heard the girl crying and looked at her. He stared blankly for a few minutes then hesitantly set a hand on her back. It was responding. Learning. Arium watched quietly then looked at Ligh.

"It would be a shame... to destroy her friend." He rumbled deep inside and stared at him. The young Galra hesitated then looked at the others. He knew he would get into trouble for this. But he couldn't bring himself to harm the robot.

"I..." he trailed off and hung his head. He didn't want Autho to hurt their little group because they didn't obey him. Keyshot watched his brothers get destroyed and saw the captain.

"What is this?" He asked angrily and stopped by them. He glanced at each of them then stared at Ligh.

"You aren't doing what you're told. Again." He growled angrily and clenched his fists tightly. "You better have a good explanation for your mutiny." He seethed. Treble glared darkly and got up. She walked over and stood in front of Ligh.

"I won't let you hurt my family." She said seriously and clenched her fists tightly. Autho looked at her then the others as he thought.

"I like your spirit child. But it's a shame you aren't supposed to talk that way around here." He growled and grabbed her by the throat. Her eyes widened in fear as he squeezed.

"No!" Ligh shouted as tears filled his eyes. He moved to stop him only to have a gun pointed at him.

"She needs to be punished for her own wrong doings." He seethed angrily through gritted teeth. She gasped quietly in pain as he squeezed more. She gripped his hand and tried to get free.

"This is not the way." Arium rumbled as he stood up straighter. Keyshot sensed what was happening and stood as well. He scanned them and realized how much the alien was hurting her.

"Isn't it?" He growled lowly and squeezed more. Trebles eyes widened and she clawed at his hand desperately. She started to see black and her movements slowed.

"No! Stop it please!" Ligh begged as he watched her start to go limp.

Keyshot ran at the captain and knocked the gun away. He punched him hard and gripped his hand tightly. The captain cried out and let her go before his hand broke.

Treble collapsed to the ground, she coughed and gasped for air. Ligh fell to his knees and picked her up. He held her close and protectively as he glared at the captain. Keyshot glanced at them but still had a hold of the captain. He saw the gun and crushed it before shoving the alien away. He stood in front of the three protectively and clenched his fists.

::Do not harm.:: he said seriously and the captain growled threateningly. ::I am Keyshot, and I will protect them.:: he said. Arium and Ligh watched quietly then blinked in surprise. The robot was thinking for itself.
