Author's Pov:

2 years later:

Aera's hurried foot steps were heard in the corridor as she looked at her watch. "Aish, I am late again", Aera murmured.

Two years since their divorce. Jiho was now seven and quite old enough to understand. With the help of Minghao she got a job in his company, due to her high qualifications, she got a higher post and enough salary to handle her own as well as Jiho's expenses. At first it was difficult to handle her job and home but with the help of Minjee and Jeonghan it became easy.

About Mingyu, she doesn't meet him much. After Jiho's school is over, he goes to Mingyu and while going back home, Aera picks him up. The only thing she knows is he is going to get married soon.

"Hey!", Minghao smiled. Aera nodded, "Is everything ready?", she asked the team. Everyone nodded. Tomorrow is an important day for the company as they were going to collab with another company. Aera was curious but her CEO decided to keep it a secret from her employees.

Aera was asked to handle everything and she was the one who is giving presentation. "Miss. Aera, CEO is calling you", the CEO's secretary said. Aera nodded, "I'll be back".

Knocking the door, Aera asked for permission. Hearing a 'come in', Aera went inside. "Hello, Miss. Aera. I saw the presentation and let me tell you, as always you impressed me. You didn't make me regret for hiring you", her CEO said.

Aera smiled, "Thank you so much ma'am for giving me this opportunity". Aera bowed. After talking about the presentation Aera went to her cabin.

"Having a hard time?", Minghao asked. Aera nodded, "I just want a small vacation. Because of this I couldn't even spend much time with Jiho". Minghao chuckled, "Once this is done, you will definitely get a good vacation".

In these two years, Minghao and Aera got close to each other. The feelings he had for her also increased. But Minghao didn't confess his feelings thinking Aera still hasn't moved on from Mingyu.

After working for hours, Aera was now outside Mingyu's House. He still lived there alone sometimes even with his girlfriend. She took her phone and messaged him,

'I am here'

Soon she saw Jiho running to her. Sitting inside the car, he grinned, "Today was so good, you know Eomma? I went to his company. He still had our picture beside his computer". Aera smiled. She looked at the door, Mingyu stood there waving at Jiho.

"Eomma, can this Sunday we three spend time together, please?", Jiho asked. Aera sighed, "I don't know Jiho. There is a project going on and I need to work on it". Jiho pouted, "So this time only me and Appa?". Aera nodded focusing on the road.

Jiho yawned, "It was fun". Aera laughed, ruffling his hair, "I am sorry, Jiho. I know I am not making enough time for you now but once I finish this project I will take a holiday and spend rest of the days with you, hmm"

Jiho giggled, "It is fine, eomma. I'll accept the apology only if you buy me an ice cream". Aera stopped her car beside an ice cream parlour, "Go amd take. I'll come". Jiho jumped out and ran inside.

Aera smiled and followed him. "Eomma, I brought one for you too", Jiho said. Aera paid for the ice cream and took the one Jiho brought.

"Jiho-ya, how is school going on?", Aera asked. "It is going fine, Eomma. No one teased me till now", Jiho said knowing Aera is still concerned about him getting teased. Aera nodded, "Want to try some?", she extended the ice cream. Jiho took a bite, "It tastes so good but mine is better".

Aera laughed, "Of course. Your choice is best isn't it?". Jiho nodded, "Eomma", Aera hummed, "Appa is getting married soon. I want you too get married, if you want. Minghao uncle is not a bad choice". Aera stopped eating her ice cream, "Eat your ice cream. I don't want it to melt". Aera didn't look at Jiho, he laughed, "Eomma, you cheeks are getting pink".

Meanwhile:

Mingyu sighed closing the door. "I still can't get adjusted to this silence", he whispered. Entering his room, as usual the first thing he noticed is the painting Aera made. After Aera left, Mingyu kept the painting in his room.

Slowly tracing it, he noticed the smallest details she made, "It is beautiful". Living alone in this whole house has become a habit for him, at first his mother wanted him and Eunji to live together but..

He fell on bed staring at the at ceiling, "Can't believe I am already in my 30s. I need to get up early tomorrow", Mingyu closed his eyes.

Next Day:

"Bye", Aera waved at Jiho. "I need to be early", Aera whispered After making sure Jiho went inside.

Entering the elevator, she met Minghao who gave her a smile, "All the best". Aera nodded, "Thank you". Behind her were some employees who were gossiping about her but Aera didn't mind nor did Minghao. It was common for them to hear it.

'Look at way he looks at her, he definitely likes her. I think even she does. They look good though'

Aera couldn't handle it more, she turned behind and said, "You are standing right behind us and if you are thinking we can't hear you than you are wrong. By talking like this you are making us awkward. So please refrain yourself from saying something like this".

Just then the doors opened and Aera went out followed by Minghao. "You don't need to take their words seriously. Anyways, once again all the best for presentation", Minghao said. Aera smiled, "Thank you so much".

Soon their CEO came, "Miss. Aera, I want you to welcome him". Aera nodded. Aera's Ceo , Mrs. Oh, was not like the one who is always grumpy, strict instead she was totally opposite. Whenever Aera needed help she would come forward to help her.

"According to what I have heard, he is young and rich. Also, let's not forget how handsome he is", one of the employee whispered.

The first person came to her mind was Mingyu, he is young, rich and handsome. Immediately Aera shook her head removing the thought of him. If it is true then she has meet him a lot, she can't do it.

For whole 2 years she is avoiding him, trying her best not to talk to him. "What are thinking?", Minghao snapped his fingers. Aera shook her head, "Nothing".

Minghao giggled, "You are cute". But soon stopped realising what he had said. Clearing his throat, he said, "I think someone is calling me". Aera stood there in shock, "I heard this after so long".

Aera felt her cheeks heating up. Covering her cheeks, she whispered, "Aish, what's wrong with me!". One of her colleague, Hyein, also a quite good friend of Aera came and stood beside her, "Someone's face is going red, I see. Hearing compliments from him feels good, isn't it?".

Aera looked at her, "What are you even talking about? Stop creating your own stories". Hyein smirked, "Whatever, even you know Aera. There is actually something between you both".

"Yeah, there is definitely something between us and that something is called friendship", Aera said emphasizing friendship. Hyein shook her head, "But still-"

"You know what Hyein. I have a lot of work to do. So I am going bye", Aera said entering her cabin. Sitting on her chair, she looked at the frame kept beside her laptop. It was of Jiho amd Mingyu.

"It was hard for me to live without you at first but now I am used to it. I remember how you used to come at night staring at my window like creep", Aera laughed, "But soon you are getting married. Hope you have a good life, further".

Aera couldn't help but smile reminiscing those memories. She looked at outside her cabin, seeing Minghao helping his colleague. She couldn't ignore the growing affection towards him.

She checked her presentation, soon the time passed and it was time. "Everyone and everything is ready?", Aera asked. Getting an affirmative response, Aera smiled.

She checked everything once again and stood beside Minghao, "I wish everything goes right". Minghao smiled and nodded.

"Okay, I wanted you all to know the person who is coming here. He is none other than Kim Mingyu, CEO of Kim industries", the CEO announced. Everyone gasped while Aera froze.

Minghao looked at Aera, he slightly shook her, "Aera". Aera looked at him, "Kim Mingyu", she whispered. Not many know that she is his ex-wife. Mingyu had always kept his private life away from media.

"Mam, he is here", a peon told. Their CEO nodded indicating Aera to be ready who was still processing that it was Mingyu.

The door slowly opened indicating he is here. Aera closed her eyes taking a deep breathe. Opening her eyes she saw Mingyu who had a shock expression on his face, soon it turned into a normal one.

Mrs. Oh welcomed him, she looked at Aera gesturing her to come forward. Aera have Mingyu the small bouquet the company had prepared. It felt awkward, maybe because they need to interact a lot for this project or may be because they haven't talked a lot past 2 years.

Aera gave a small smile before coming back to her place, "Shall we start?". Getting a nod from everyone. Aera started the presentation. Throughout the presentation Mingyu's eyes were glued on Aera which didn't go unnoticed by Aera and Minghao.

"Thank you", Aera bowed earning claps from the rest. She looked at Minghao who was smiling widely giving a thumbs up to her. Mingyu looked at them and smiled, this time without any jealousy.

After the presentation, Mingyu suggested everyone to have lunch with him. By the time Aera reached there, the only place left was beside Minghao which was right infront of Mingyu.

"Aera, here!", Minghao said seeing her. Aera sat down beside him trying to refrain herself from looking at Mingyu. "I heard you are getting married soon", Mrs. Oh said.

Mingyu nodded, "Yeah". Everyone cheered, "Can you tell us, how did you meet her?". Mingyu looked at Aera for a second thinking she can get uncomfortable. Aera noticed this and gave a small nod.

"I met her just a year before. After my divorce, I kept myself focused on my work until she came. I just met her by accident, because of a small misunderstanding but see the fate, we are now getting married soon", Mingyu smiled.

"Sir, what about your first wife?", another question came. Mingyu unknowingly gave a wide smile, "She holds a special place in my life, even my girlfriend knows it".

Aera smiled, 'He moved on', she thought. "Aera, try this", Minghao said giving her a piece of food. Aera smiled taking a bite of it, she let out a satisfied hum. "It is good isn't it?", Minghao asked. Aera nodded. Mingyu looked at them with a smile.

Today was the day, both realised that they have moved on from each other.
