Annabeth POV

  I nervously gulped as she walked closer. She took three more steps, then she stopped. Then, she did the unthinkable. She slapped me. Hard right across the face.

I gasped and she narrowed her eyes.

"Shut up!" She hissed. She slapped me again and I yelped in pain as she slapped me the third time.

"STOP!" I screamed at her. She froze in her tracks and narrowed her eyes.

"You know," I started calmly, "I could tell the police and you could be in jail."

She smirked.

"I know. Which is why, I will not allow you to go outside, anymore. Nobody will hear about this. Even if you did escape, who in their right mind would believe you?" She asked.

With that, she gave me a harsh kick in my stomach and walked out of my room, slamming it shut, behind me.

I groaned.

"Pssst!" I heard a voice. I looked and saw Percy in his balcony waving.

I walked over to him and sighed. After a long period of silence, he finally said,

"I saw what happened. Are you alright? We can call the police. My dad didn't punish me at all. He just yelled at me, apologized, and now he's taking a nap."

I didn't answer. I wiped a tear from my eye. Percy just gazed at me, with his gorgeous, sea-green eyes, filled with sadness because of the current situation. We just stood their for a long time, with my occasional sniff.

  Finally, Percy cleared his throat and said, "So, you're not going to be able to go to school?

"I guess. Mom said that I won't be getting out of the house so...yeah." I said, sighing.

"That's it! I have a great idea! Since you're not going to school, you can't get punished for other people knowing about this, right?" Percy asked.

I slowly nodded.

"Then, I can tell people, contact the police, and then you'll be free!" Percy said, smiling excitedly.

"Come here, you genius!" I said.

He walked over to the edge of his balcony and I did the same. We were close enough to have a short and sweet kiss. We pulled back, smiling.

"Percy? Where are you?" I heard Mr. Jackson call.

"That's my cue to leave. Bye!" Percy said, slowly walking towards the inside of his house.

"Bye!" I replied.

Percy POV

"What?" I answered Dad. I walked to his and Mom's room and opened the door. Mom was on her laptop, and I didn't want to bother her. I looked around for Dad. He wasn't there.

Where is he?

I went to the bathroom, but nobody was in there. I went to my room, the guest room, and the garage but I couldn't find him. Finally I went to the kitchen. And there he was, drinking coffee.

"What took you so long?" he asked, annoyed.

"What took me so long?" I scoffed. "You didn't even tell me where you were!"

"Ah, whatever. Anyway, I have to go to another place because of my job. I'm leaving in two days. I don't want to hurt Sally, and I don't know how to tell her this." Dad said, sighing, his face in his hands.

My mouth fell open.

"W-what?"
