Two weeks passed. She finished school and her finals, but something didn't feel right.

One night, she woke to a voice outside her window. Heart pounding, she grabbed her phone and called Namjoon.

"It's me," he said when he arrived, his voice calming.

She broke down, crying into his chest.

Later, at his Manhattan apartment, she gathered her courage. "Namjoon... I've read a lot about supernatural things. You're not human, are you?"

He didn't deny it.

She took a deep breath. "Are you... a vampire?"

His lips curled into a smirk. "Something like that."

Her mind raced. "Wait—Liam too?"

Namjoon nodded.

"Then why do I trust you?" she whispered.

Before she could overthink, he moved closer. Their lips hovered inches apart, his arms caging her in.

Then, her phone buzzed. A text from an unknown number.

Namjoon is not human. Don't trust him.

Her blood ran cold.

But instead of fear, she only felt one thing—protectiveness.

"I don't care what you are," she whispered. "You're not alone anymore."

He exhaled sharply, as if she had just spoken the words he had waited centuries to hear.
