A Witch's Enchantment

// Castiel's POV

"STOP!" He yelled as the witch change something and threw powder at their direction.

"DEAN! CAS!" Sam yelled, finally busting the door opened.

When he finally ran inside, he found both the angel and the hunter, passed out onto the floor.

"Dean? Cas?"

+++++

Castiel opened his eyes and looked around.

He was back in the bunker.

But how?

Wasn't he fighting off a witch with Dean?

Dean.

"Dean?" He asked, sitting up and looking around. "Dean!"

"Cas! Hey calm down!" Sam yelled, running up to him and laying him back down on the couch he was on.

"Where's Dean? Is he alright?!" Cas asked frantically forcing himself up.

"He's fine Cas! He's resting in his room. . .what happened back there?"

"I- we were with the witch. We were just about to capture her when she paralyzed us and began chanting something. That's when you tried to get in and she threw this pink, glittery powder at Dean but I got in the way and it hit both of us...and then I woke up here." Castiel explained. He was fidgeting around a lot...he seemed really nervous.

"Cas? What's w- "

"Where did you say Dean was?"

"In his room..."

"I need to see him...I need to tell him...how much...how much I...love him?"

Sam's eyes widened. He knew this was coming eventually but just like that? That was unexpected.

"That sounded more like a question."

Castiel narrowed his eyes and sighed.

"Cas?" A voice asked.

Both the angel and the hunter turned around and faced Dean who had wide eyes and was staring at Castiel.

"Dean. . ."

"Cas. . ."

"Dean!"

"Cas!"

Sam sat awkwardly for this was extremely awkward.

Castiel stood up and ran over to Dean, who was also running towards him. Dean wrapped his arms around Cas' waist, pulling him close to him while Cas placed his hands on Dean's face.

"Are you alright?" Cas asked, staring into the beautiful candy green eyes.

"I. . .I'm fine. Cas..." Dean sighed.

"I love you!" They yelled at the same time.

Sam's eyes widened. What the hell was happening?! Why did they all of a sudden want to express their feelings for one another? I mean this is great! Finally, but. . .why? Why just after their fight with the witch? Was it the fear of never seeing each other again? No. . .a witch isn't that dangerous to bring ones feelings out. . .unless. . .

Dean smiled widely and sighed in relief. Castiel did the same.

They were still for a moment before Dean leaned downward and pressed his lips against the angel's.

Sam again, stood there awkwardly and looked away.

They kinda made out for a few minutes before Sam cleared his throat loudly and they pulled away, blushing madly.

"Are you guys okay?" Sam asked.

Castiel looked down at the floor nervously. Dean noticed and intertwined his fingers with his.

"I'd say I've never been better. How 'bout you, Angel?" Dean asked.

Castiel blushed and smiled, looking at their hands.

"I-I'd say I'm fine."

Sam was at a loss for words.

"So Cas. . .would you like to. . .grab some dinner, later today?" Dean asked, nervously.

Dean was nervous! Dean was flustered! What. The. Hell. Was. Happening?!

"That'd be. . .nice."

Dean smiled widely and nodded.

Sam bit the inside of his cheek and frowned. Dean wouldn't act like this. Sure he'd ask someone out for drinks but Dean was never as flustered as this.

"Well...I'm gonna go to the library." Sam stated before standing up and pulling on his jacket.

"For what?" Dean asked.

"Research- duh." And he was gone.

+++++

Sam thought this would've taken a lot longer than usual but it took him about ten minutes to find what he was looking for.

Something called a love spell. The witch had enchanted them and run off. And while Dean and Cas were all lovey dovey with each other, they wouldn't even think about running after her. Great...just great.

Stupid witch.

Sam closed the books, thanked the librarian, who had been giving him quirky looks the entire time and headed back towards the bunker.

+++++

"Sam! Please help me!" Cas called desperately from his room.

Sam ran towards the room, getting ready to smite something but all he found was Cas looking at himself in the mirror, placing different ties under his collar.

"Cas. . .? What's wrong?"

"I don't know what tie to use." He sighed.

Sam put away the gun he was holding and sighed.

"What?"

"Dean asked me out to dinner. I wanted to look presentable enough for him." Cas pouted. He looked so worried about a stupid tie. . .well, he guessed it wasn't stupid since it was for a date.

"Just go with the blue one. He'll like it." Sam smiled.

"How do you know?"

"He's my alcoholic brother, Cas. Trust me, he gets so drunk sometimes, he spills things. This one time he was looking at the sky-- drunk of course and just blurted out how the sky was blue cause it reflects off of your eyes."

Castiel blushed at the thought and looked down at his feet.

"You know what? Use the green tie-- it matches his eyes. He'll probably be cheesy and wear a blue one." Sam rolled his eyes.

Castiel thanked him over and over and went to wait in his room.

~•~•~

Dean opened the door to the bunker and walked inside.

"Sam?"

"In here!"

Dean followed the voice and found Sam in the library, doing research.

"Should I get Cas?"

"No! I-- we'll be eating here but I want to make everything look nice." Dean fumbled.

Sam looked up at him-- oh god. He was wearing a blue tie-- thought so.

"Okay, whatever."

Sam kept a close eye on his brother and was extremely shocked with what he saw.

He saw Dean pulling up youtube videos and cooking along with the lady on the screen.

While everything was cooking, Dean pulled out random candles and set them on a table? Which now had a white table cloth on it.

And guess what he put in the middle of the table? You guess it-- I think-- a vase with a nice red rose in it.

"Sam?" They heard a voice call from upstairs.

"Shit." Dean mumbled.

"Dean? What are you doing here?" Castiel asked, walking downstairs.

"Hey um I was-- whoa." Dean's jaw could've fucking reached hell at that point. He watched Castiel walk down stairs in that elegant suit of his-- he ended up taking off his trench coat.

"Dean. I believe it's rude to stare." Cas smiled.

Sam stood the awkwardly, in between it all. Castiel at the stairs and Dean now a few feet from Sam.

"This is so awkward." Sam mumbled. ((Third wheel much?))

And at that moment, Dean knew he fucked up in staring at Cas. Why? BECAUSE THE FUCKING SPAGHETTI HE WAS COOKING WAS FUCKING BURNING.

"SHIT!" Dean yelled once they all smelled the smoke.

All three of them ran and put out the burning spaghetti. Oh, Dean used his suit jacket to put it out *shrugs*

"Now what do we eat?" Castiel asked.

Dean sighed and stared at his burnt suit jacket.

"Take out?" Sam suggested, anything to get them out of the bunker.

"Sounds awesome." Dean smiled before taking Cas' hand and dragging his towards the door of the bunker.

"Nice tie, by the way." He pointed at Cas and they were gone.

Sam sighed and stared at the burnt jacket and spaghetti.

It was time to track this bitch-- witch down.

// Castiel's POV

"So why did you choose that tie?" Dean asked.

Castiel looked down at the green tie and smiled.

"Sam suggested I wear it. He said it would match your eyes. He also predicted you would wear a blue tie."

Dean blushed and looked away.

"Oh...well. I only wore the blue tie because I didn't have another one." He mumbled.

Castiel smiled and looked down at his hands.

His stomach was all bubbly and he was nervous. He had no idea why. He knew Dean wore the tie to match his eyes, he was just to nervous to admit it.

Castiel was glad Dean was okay after that witch had attacked them.

He didn't know what he'd do without him.

He would be fine with dying but he didn't want Dean to die from a witch attack!

"Did we really make out in front of Sam?" Dean asked.

"I believe we did."

"Did I really burn our dinner and make us have to get take out and now we're on some park bench?"

"I uh-- yea."

They were in silence for a while before they both burst out into laughter.

It was night now.

The stars were out and it was beautiful.

"I meant it, Cas." Dean mumbled, once they calmed down. He was looking up at the sky in thought.

"What?"

"When I said I loved you. I meant it."

Dean looked and smiled at Cas.

"I still do."

Castiel's eyes widened. He knew his cheeks were flushed.

And they probably burned brighter than the sun when Dean leaned down and kissed him.

Castiel moved closer and returned the gesture.

The kiss didn't last too long. A few seconds...not many sparks.

They didn't know why. But it all seemed too good to be true.

But they both took time to know each other more than already did.

Dean found out why he fell in love with Castiel to begin with, vise-versa.

They both noticed little things about each other.

They both paid more attention to one another.

They both fell in love, all over again.

+++++

"How did it go?" Sam asked.

"He kissed me."

"Oh. Well you guys did make out in front of me."

"But-- he kissed me."

"Okay, Castiel. Time for bed."

+++++

\\ Day Two //

"Mornin', Sunshine." Dean whispered, waking him up.

Castiel opened his eyes and slowly sat up, yawning as he did.

"Made you breakfast."

Dean set down a try with a plate of pancakes and a pitcher of orange juice-- oh and a rose of course.

"Dean! You didn't have to."

"But I wanted to."

"Oh...okay."

+++++

\\ Day Three //

"I've got a lead on her. Gonna go check it out!" Sam called, grabbing his coat and heading upstairs.

"Have fun!" Dean called from the couch where he was currently cuddling with Castiel, watching tv.

"You're not coming? Come on guys-- okay listen, I haven't had the chance to tell you but she cast some spell on you guys to give her time to get away. Now get off your asses and let's go!"

~•~•~

"Let him go!" Sam yelled, pointing a gun at the witch ((dead man's blood in the bullets)). She somehow got to Castiel and had been torturing him for a while.

"He's all yours! Just let me go!" She pleaded.

"Not until you lift the curse of off him and my brother!"

"Curse?"

"The love spell!"

"Cas! CASTIEL!" They heard Dean's yelling get louder.

Dean ran into the room, finding Sam and the witch at a stand off and Castiel tied to a chair, passed out, blood pouring down his face.

"That stupid love spell? Sweetie, that spell only last twenty-four hours!" She laughed.

"W-what?" Sam asked.

But she didn't get to say anything else before Dean began shooting her, her screams filling their ears.

"Cas, Cas come on. Stay with me!" Dean pleaded, his voice breaking. "Cas!"

((Ouch flashbacks))

Castiel slowly opened his eyes.

"Dean..." he whispered.

"I'm here. Thank god...I'm here, Angel. I'm here."

Dean kissed Castiel's temple and untied him.

Sam stood there, watching them. Shocked. Happy. Confused.

+++++

"Wait, so the spell only lasted a day?" Dean asked.

"Apparently. It's been three days, and you two are still all lovey dovey." Sam smirked.

Castiel shuffled around and hid behind Dean.

"Well, Sammy. That's because I fell in love with him, all over again." Dean blushed.

"So did I." Cas mumbled.

Dean looked down at Cas and smiled widely.

They shared more kisses and hugs-- many sparks-- much frick frack.

"Still awkward for me." Sam sighed. "I want my own angel."
