[Y/n]'s P.O.V.

After finally being able to play in front of the whole class without my hands shaking, those who are in idol course are now practicing dancing as the next part of their lessons. Masato-kun has asked me to come and watch him, Ittoki-kun, and Shinomiya-san practice. Currently now my relationship with Masato-kun has been fixed, we were able to catch up on what has happened to us through the past years we've last seen each other. Although I didn't tell him anything about my parents though and my sister's condition. When they were done dancing I noticed that Ittoki-kun and Shinomiya-san were a few beats off from the music. "How was our dancing?" Shinomiya-san asked me "The test is next week. Do you think we'll pass?" Ittoki-kun then asked with his usual bright smile.

"Hai, it's most likely you'll pass the test." I said with my usual blank face "That's great." Ittoki-kun said smiling at Shinomiya-san. "ii-e, it's not good enough." Masato-kun said to them, which made them look at him confused "I have to agree. Your guys' rhythm is off." I said to them,  making them look at me as Masato nodded in agreement. "We're far from being perfect." he finished, which made Ittoki-kun and Shinomiya-san sweat drop at his perfectionist trait showing. "You heard him." Ittoki-kun said to Shinomiya-san "We should be more careful with the tempo." Shinomiya-san responded back to him. "Hai." Ittoki-kun answered agreeing, until we heard the sound of squealing and saw Ren-kun passing by with his swarm of fangirls.

I walked over to Masato and said "I know Ren-kun was playful back then, but I didn't think he would be a player." I muttered to him. "I know." he answered back still turning away from Ren-kun. Just looking at him flirting with them made me have blue lines under my eyes at this, 'Like seriously what is wrong with you there's the 'no love rule here!'' I yelled in my head. "I'm amazed he can say that." Ittoki-kun said bringing back "Jinguji Ren. The goddess of love must love him..." Shinomiya-san poetically. "What nonsense." Masato-kun said catching our attention to look at his stoic face "Let's get started." he then said. "Which part?" I asked bending down to the cd player "From the third phrase, please [Y/n]-chan. Right here." Masato said helping me with the settings.

"Eh? Since when were you two on first name bases?" Ittoki-kun asked confused "We're childhood friends with Ren-kun." I said blankly. "I told you that a few days ago." Masato-kun said not turning to him "Oh... Right you did mention that." Shinomiya-san said with a smile on his face.  "I want to get this part just right." Masato-kun said to me "Hai." I answered ready to hit the play button. "Well, well. When did you become so close to Koneko-chan, Hijirikawa?" Ren-kun asked making us look at him, as he walked towards us with his rose still in hand. Masato-kun then got up and started a glaring contest with him. "She and I have been bound by fate since the moment we met back then." Ren-kun said pulling me up to look at him and handed me the rose "Why don't you come with me? I've been looking for someone to enjoy the sea breeze with." he then said with a smile.

All this made me do was give him unimpressed look on my face. "Did you really have to do that?" I asked still unimpressed by this "Oh, it seems that you're not affected by my charm." Ren-kun then said to me. "It's not that hard when you have perverts in the family and not being a part of 'no love rule'." I said looking away while still holding the rose in my hand. "Ren!" someone yelled and it turned out it was Kurusu-san who was running towards us. "What are you going to do about that lyric writing assignment?" Kurusu-san questioned him "Did you forget how serious Hyuga-sensei said it would be if you don't turn something in this time?" he then said to him.

Ren-kun then just closed his eyes and in a carefree voice said "Did he say that?" he said. "'Did he say that?'" Kurusu-san mimicked him "Yeah, he sure did!" he yelled at Ren-kun. That is until another voice called out "Jinguji Ren!", we all turned to see it was Ryuya standing not far from where we were walking towards us. "Hyuga-sensei/ Ryuya." Kurusu-san and I said at the same time "Hey, Ryuya-san." Ren-kun said not caring he's here. "You skip your classes and haven't turned in a single assignment." he said stopping in front of us "If you continue not to take this seriously I'll show no mercy." Ryuya then said to him. "You'll be expelled immediately!" he exclaims pointing at him "Ryuya!" I yelled wide eyed at him. "E-expelled?!" Kurusu-san stammered "Seriously?!" Ittoki-kun yelled in shock.

"Heh. Ryuya-san." Ren-kun said smiling at him "Ladies don't go for scowls." he teased him. "Don't get ahead of yourself, Jinguji." Ryuya said glaring at him as Ren-kun started walking away from "I'm serious! If you don't have something graded by the end of school tomorrow, I'll have you leave the academy! Got it?" he yelled at him, while Ren-kun just waved him off. I then turned to Ryuya with frown as he sighed in frustration "I'll see you later [Y/n]." he said patting my head before leaving. The bell then rang signaling it was lunch time, we all got our lunches and sat together as usual. Along with Shinomiya's cookies "It's a neko cookie." he said holding it up to show us "A neko?" Kurusu-san asked him. 'Would be cannibalism if ate that?' I thought while drinking my tea "I have pig cookies, too." he then said as he pulled out a stripped cookie from his basket. "This is a zebra." Shinomiya-san said with a smile "These cookies..." Kurusu-san trailed while looking at them.

"I made them." Shinomiya-san said cheerfully, making Kurusu-san jump out of his seat with a panicked look on his face. "What?!" he screamed "I knew it!" he yelled backing away "Syo-chan." Shinomiya-san said with a dark aura around him. "Homemade cookies are the safest!" he said while holding his basket. "I can't trust them because you made them!" Kurusu-san yelled, as Shinomiya-san held his basket in front of me "Would you like one?" he asked me. I took a sniff and it smelled burnt "You'll die if you eat that! You'll die!" Kurusu-san whispered yelled, which made us look at him confused as he just turned away and whistled like nothing happened.

"What?! Jinguji-san did what?" Tomo-chan exclaims surprised along with Nanami-san, Ittoki-kun just nodded confirming what he said to them. "Serves him right. He's so irresponsible." Tomo-chan scoffed looking away "They're childhood friends, but Masa-chan, Ren-kun, and Sohma-san are different." he said, while I  looked away. "Hijirikawa-san, Jinguji-san, and Sohma-san are childhood friends?" Haruka asked confused, as they looked at me "That's right. They even share room." Shinomiya-san said.

"Sohma-san doesn't have a roommate, but is next door near me and Haru-chan's dorm room." Tomo-chan told them "Hai." Nanami-san confirmed. "Masato-kun is the successor to the Hijirikawa Conglomerate. Ren-kun is the heir to the Jinguji Conglomerate." I said to them "I'm not an heir, but a representative of the Sohma clan to make sure we have decent relationships with both of them." I continued, as they nodded for me to go on. "Because of our parents' relationship, we've known each other since we were little." I said sadly.

Third P.O.V.

In Masato and Ren's dorm room, the two were already doing their own thing trying to ignore the other. Masato was reading on his tatami mats, while Ren was throwing darts at his dart board. The air in the room was really tense until Masato decided to break it asking him "Jinguji, are you ignoring what Hyuga-sensei said?" he asked, as Ren threw another dart at the board "It has nothing to do with you." Ren said not looking at the blue head. 'We never get along unless [Y/n]-chan was around.' Masato thought sadly thinking back to where he first met them.

Flashback~ Where they first met~

In a fancy dining room music played where all of the richest people in Japan showed up to. 'Things have changed since then.' he thought back as the past him was leaning against the wall not interacting with anyone else. Past Ren was also there in the crowd not talking to anyone, but noticed past Masato and leaned against the wall with. "I'm bored." he said to him "Aren't you bored?" he asked past Masato and smiled at him. "Do you want to sneak out?" past Ren asked him "Yeah." past Masato answered with smile. The two were about to head out, but heard a squeal. They turned their heads to see a light blue haired girl trying to dodge all of the people in the dining hall.

(A/n: Just imagine she has [E/c] eyes and [S/c] skin.)

The two looked at each other and nodded to help her. They grabbed both her hands and took her out of the dining hall and to the river where they're far away from other people. "A-arigato." she said blushing a bit and bowed to them "We could tell that you were getting uncomfortable in there so we decided to bring you with us." past Ren said to her with a smile. The little girl smiled back till she was splashed with water "What are you doing?" she cried out, till past Masato was also splashed "Stop that!" he cried out, but they both laughed. "There, there!" she yelled splashing them both "Hey!" they screamed while laughing.

The young girl was about to splash them again, but past Masato slipped and fell on top of her. By then there was a pop and light blue smoke, past Ren stopped what he was doing and went over to them to make sure they were alright. "Are you guys okay?" he asked concerned, past  Masato nodded as the smoke cleared up to show a light blue fur kitten on top of the girl's dress. They both looked at the kitten wide eyed as it was shaking. "A-are y-you..." past Masato started "The young girl?" past Ren finished for him. It was then after past Masato got off her that she suddenly turned back, making them look away from as she put back on her dress.

"Y-you aren't g-going to tell anyone r-right?" she asked nervously "Are you kidding that's amazing!" past Ren exclaims with past Masato nodding in agreement. "My name is Sohma [Y/n], p-pleased to meet you." she said smiling at them, past [Y/n] then started walking back to the river and was able to stand on it. "Wow..." they both said in awe as they saw her start to bend the water to her will. "Come on." she said holding out her hands to them, they each took one of her hand and was now able to stand on the water with her and laughed.

End of Flashback~

'We grew up. Once we realized each other's positions and what [Y/n]-chan really was, she first stopped seeing us. Then we stopped speaking to each other.' Masato thought back to when he begged his father to got Saotome Gakuen. 'Determined to study music, I convinced my father to let me come here for one year.' he finished still looking down. While he was thinking back then, Ren was now laying down on his thinking back as to how he got into Saotome Gakuen in the first place. "As the eldest son, I must succeed out late father." Ren's older brother, Jinguji Seiichirou.

Flashback~ Before meeting [Y/n] again~

"Ren, go to Saotome Gakuen." Seiichirou said to him in front of the portrait of their late father "Make a name for yourself in show business, and become a poster boy for the Jinguji Family." he finished, while Ren held an emotionless face.

End of Flashback~

After he remembered what his brother said, he was not amused by it, but was glad to see [Y/n] once more. "Hijirikawa, are you worried about me?" Ren asked sitting up from his bed. Waiting for a response, but was never given he just clicked his tongue and left the room to go to the roof of the school. On the roof top Ren was now currently writing lyrics on a notepad, but stopped and ripped it out and breath out a laugh. "This is stupid." he mumbled shoving it into his pocket and thought back to his mother. Ren then went over to his saxophone case and open it to pull it out to play. In a dorm room stood [Y/n] at the piano once more writing a new song, but stopped and heard Ren playing the saxophone. She got up from the piano and moved her [H/l] light blue hair out of her face to the open window to hear it play more clearly. "Ren-kun..." she trailed, walking out of her room to where he was playing. Masato was walking down the hallway and heard the tune Ren played as well and narrowed his eyes at that.

As he continued to play he didn't notice a Kuppuru was watching him on a ledge of the building. [Y/n] then finally made it to where he was and saw him playing. "Ren-kun." she said, catching the strawberry blonde's attention and looked at her "You're like a flower shining in the setting sun." he said while putting away his saxophone. "That was a wonderful song I came here to see if it was you." [Y/n] said to him with a blank face "I'm happy to hear that. As long as we can be alone together," Ren said walking towards her with his hands in his pockets. This made her look at him confused "I don't care what your reason is." he said stopping in front of her and putting his hands on her shoulders, making the piece of paper that was in his pocket fall out.

[Y/n] noticed and looked at the crumpled piece of paper on the ground next to them, along with Ren who noticed what she was looking at. She went down to pick it up and look at, but was taken away by Ren before she can see what was written on it. The [E/c] eyed girl then notice writing on the paper and realized that those were lyrics for the song he was playing. "Those are the lyrics for your assignment, aren't they?" she asked with a blank look, but sighed in relief "That's good." she said. "Good?" he questioned her confused "I've been wanting to talk to you after finding out from Masato-kun that you guys didn't forget me. But your always surrounded by girls that I was afraid to come to you." [Y/n] said  to him. "I've also tried to talk to Ryuya into giving you more time as well on your assignment. But you've already written them." she said to him, in which he looked away giving her a bitter smile "I think it's about time for me to disappear." he said.

The light haired blue girl then looked at him confused at what he means. "Just like how you did." Ren then said, making her look at the ground "I'm bored of this place." he said to her, which [Y/n] just widen her eyes a bit before going back to a blank face. "In that case, just leave already." Masato said suddenly showing up, having them both look at the stoic blue head. "Masato-kun." she muttered looking at him "I don't like you. My life has been decided by my father. But only in music am I free." Masato said walking towards them. "That's why I can't forgive you for not taking this seriously." he said glaring at Ren "I didn't come here because I wanted to. I was thrown in here." Ren responded closing his eyes. "Ren-kun..." [Y/n] trailed looking at him "There's no reason for me to be here. It's just a game to me." he continued.

"You're lying. That tone just now as no lie." Masato said narrowing his eyes at him "Why don't you show what you really have to offer?" he said to him. "I told you," Ren said while starting to tear the piece a paper up, which brought [Y/n] back to what they were doing. "it's a game." he finished letting the pieces flow with the wind from his hand. "The lyrics." [Y/n] said looking where they flew off to "I don't have time to waste on these stupid lyrics." Ren said, provoking Masato to punch him. [Y/n] saw this and stood in between them with her arms out "Stop!" she cried out, making them both widen their eyes. Masato was able to stop the punch, but couldn't slow down and fell on her with Ren covering her back.

Then came a pop and light blue smoke to reveal [Y/n] in her cat form and uniform in between the two young men. "Will you both get a grip!" she hissed at them getting out from under Masato's body, while the two of them were looking down in shame. "Listen I know it has been too long since the last time you've talked to one another. But you both are very similar!" [Y/n] yelled at them "You guys think your lives are hard well mine was the worst! My parents pretended to love me and my sister, abused us emotionally, which caused us to break down! Next because of that we went to hospital where they decided to disown us both! Ryuya was the only one willing to take me in because if you must know..." she suddenly paused and started whimpering and crying for the second since that day when she was disowned by her parents.

Masato and Ren looked at each at the broken childhood friend in front of them with pity. So Ren then scooped her in his arms and held her for a bit while Masato stroke her fur to calm her down. After the light blue haired girl calmed down Masato gathered her clothes and put them behind the pillar when Ren set her down. She then retransformed back to her human and put on her clothes and looked at them with her red puffy [E/c] eyes. "If you must know whenever a zodiac child is born the mother of that zodiac would either be overprotective of it or reject it completely." she finished making them look at her seeing which decision her mother choose for both her and her sister. Masato then went up to her and put a hand on her shoulder before walking away from her and Ren. "I'm going to look for the lyrics. I don't want lose other people who're dear to me." [Y/n] said with determination and ran to go look for Ren's lyrics.

When she left, Ren began to think of what [Y/n] has been through to get here. He can already see improvements of having her personality back together like back then little by little. From Otoya to Masato and it was his turn to help build her back up and had to make a decision to do his part to help. While with [Y/n], she was already out in the courtyard looking for all of the missing pieces of the lyrics Ren wrote. She had all but one piece left to make it complete and that last piece so happens to be on a leaf in a tall tree. [Y/n] did try to get with a wooden stick she found, but it was too short and what she didn't notice was that the tree was close to the window of Tokiya's dorm room. He stood there watching the whole scene happening, till [Y/n] decided to think of an idea and it hit her.

The light blue head ran off to put away the stick, which made Tokiya think that she gave up. In which he was going to close the window, but stopped to see that she came back and took out her key from under dress shirt. The one that he saw when he first saw her, [Y/n] then looked around to make sure nobody was watching and started to act like she was praying. Till her body started to glow a brighter color of her hair to have water come out of thin air to cut the leaf and to have the last piece float down in her hands. Tokiya thought he was dreaming, rubbing his eyes thinking that he was hallucinating at what he saw from that girl.

Timeskip~ The next day~

"Hirasawa Yuto." "Hai." "Morio Tsuyushi." "Hai" "Jinguji's absent." Hyuga-sensei said out loud while taking attendance "Let's get started. Turn to page 32 of your textbooks. Hirasawa-san, read." he instructed, as Syo looked back at the empty seat behind. With Ren he was now at the fields looking out at the country side outside of the school, while whistling a song he knew from his mother. He then thought back to when his father threw out everything that was related to his mother, but he was still able to keep one song that was meant for him when she was pregnant with him. Later he then thought back to how [Y/n] acted yesterday on the roof with Masato and thought on whether he would help her or not. "In a classroom dancing with evening sun..." someone spoked catching Ren by surprised and turned to see that it was [Y/n] who spoke.

"By your eyes twinkling even more than the stars I'm... Knocked out." she said the lyrics out loud to him, having Ren watch her as she had a tiny smile on her face. "It's wonderful." [Y/n] said crouching down next to him "My sister always said to help others." she said to him. "I really don't want you to go Ren-kun." this made Ren look at her wide eyed at what she said "I've finally found one of my friends that missed dearly in the past. And I don't want to be separated again." she said going back to her blank face. The [E/c] eyed girl then took out the lyrics she found yesterday and taped them together "I know you want to get away, but I don't want that to happen." she said holding it out "Arigato. You skipped class just to do that." Ren said with a smile, till she put it in his hands surprising him yet again. "I'll be waiting for your decision on whether you'll do it or not. But I have faith that you'll make the right decision." [Y/n] said walking away from him, Ren just sat there watching her figure disappear.

It was already dawn and she along with everyone else was waiting to see if Ren still decided to quit. "Are you sure he's going to do it Sohma-san?" Haruka asked nervously "I know he'll do it. I have faith in him that he'll do it." she answered. "He's an annoying guy, but is he really going to quit?" Syo questioned out loud "It would be such a pity." Natsuki said with a frown. That's when the bell struck to show that it was the end of the day, making [Y/n] sigh that she had thought she did all of that in vain. "It's no use. It's time." Otoya said with a frown "Ren-kun." she muttered in disappointment. "Hey, Ryuya. Why don't you wait a little longer? He just isn't honest with himself. He's got talent." Ringo-sensei said trying to add more time for the strawberry blond like [Y/n] tried before. "I know that, but..." Hyuga-sensei looked back with a stern look "I don't have time for people who can't be bothered to try." he said walking away.

"Ryuya. What about [N/n]-chan?" Ringo-sensei then asked, making Hyuga-sensei turn around to respond but was stopped hearing clicking from the speakers. "Uh, can everyone hear me?" a voice called out through them catching everyone's attention to listen "Ren?" Syo questioned recognizing that man's voice. "Koneko-chan, can you hear me?" Ren called out having the light blue head perk up at the mention of her nickname. "Ryuya-san and everyone else, please listen." he said, having everyone in the school stop what they're doing and listen. "I just finished my song. I'll release my slumbering feelings..." he paused "Until the very last phrase." Ren finished.

Right now Ren was in a sound booth ready to perform with his taped up lyrics in hand "It's showtime!" he exclaims before he started playing his saxophone and sung tot he song.

It shows how close he holds [Y/n] to his heart.

It then shows the girl he's thinking of with her friends outside in the courtyard listening to his song.

"Itsumo wa ubau dake

hansoku na LOVE...~"

Next came Ringo-sensei smiling and Hyuga-sensei with a blank look while listening.

"tokihanatou My Soul　
FEIKU na kokoro nuide

Hu... ATSUi ze~"

Ren then went to thinking back to his mother when she was still alive dancing to his song.

[Y/n] and the others then started running to the recording room where Ren was at and started dancing. He then noticed her holding out her hand to him, which he took and spun her around as she showed him a genuine smile that almost made his heart stop.

After they were done celebrating [Y/n] was now having a ghost smile on her face as she was heading back to her dorm room, but was stopped seeing Tokiya there in front of her.
