Chanyeol woke up in bed alone. It was the first time this happened since he had arrived and so it was strange and empty. He was now so used to waking up in the arms of his mate.

He checked the time and it was already 10am. He had woken up really late. Considering that his heat had started again round mid night you couldn't blame him from being tired. Baekhyun had really taken care of it all night long if you know what I mean. Chanyeol blushed remembering their intimacy.

But there was one thing that was beginning to bother him. As soon as he got into the bathroom he looked at his reflection in the mirror. Other than some old scars from his old alphas claws he had no other mark on his shoulders or neck. Baekhyun still had not marked him.

He brushed his hair from the hidden part of his face and couldn't help but frown. Could it be because of his looks that Baekhyun couldn't mark him. He was hideous and he knew it but he had hoped Baek would still love him that way. Maybe his old alpha was right. No one would ever love him with these scars. Baekhyun had no choice but to keep him around because they were mates.
He rushed into the shower. His tears washed away as they mixed with the water clensing his body.

As soon as he was done he headed to the kitchen where he had a light meal because he didn't have an appetite even if he could now eat more food without throwing up. He decided to go outside for some fresh air and sit on the lawn out front.

"Mama mama mama mama mama" Chanyeol smiled when the triplets ran towards him before jumping on him. He gave them a big hug with all three squished on his chest.

Dragons did not grow like normal children. It had only been about 2 months since they were born but they were as big as 2 year old babies in human age. They grew up really fast but their aging slowed down when they look 13 which happens in a span of 5 years. They would be teens for longer which is 15-20 years though because that stage takes time for them to mature. After that they are considered adults.

"Hello my little angels" Chanyeol said with a smile before kissing them all on their foreheads.

"Mama fly" Yeri said in her adorable voice before shifting into her Dragon form.

"Fly fly fly" Ken and Ren, her brothers, also chanted excitedly as they also shifted. They flapped their small wings and rose from the ground but they couldn't go hire than a meter before they got tired and came back down but Chanyeol still clapped and praised them like they had conquered the world.

"There you are you little rascals" an old woman said as she approached them. She was the head matron who took care and taught the fledglings.

"Want mama" the triplets cried as they shifted back to human form and held onto Chanyeol.

"Good morning your highness. These little ones ran off during flying lessons. I think they caught your scent and this is why they came to you"

"Shhhhh little ones. Mama is not going anywhere. Now go to school and I promise to bake you some cookies for when you come back later.

"pwomise" they all said teary eyed at the same time.

"I promise"

"Otay" they all got a kiss before heading back to the others.

"I'm sorry I know they can be a handful" Chanyeol said to Olivia the head matron.

"No need to apologize. I know how children can get. I should be thanking you actually. Those babies had been feeling lost and abandoned but after you adopted them and created a bond they can now grow up normal like the others. They don't feel alone again"

"I know how it feels like to be alone and I would never wish it on anyone. They are the ones who saved me" Chanyeol said before taking a walk into the forest.

He wasn't sure when he was going but as a scent got stronger he realised be was searching for Baekhyun and found the dragon flying high up in the sky above him. Soon the enormous dragon came down but landed on two legs as Baekhyun shifted into his human form but still had his dragon wings.

"I was on my way to come get you" he said as he wrapped his arms around Chanyeols waist.

"Really"

"Yes. I have a surprise for you" Chanyeol screamed when they were suddenly in the sky, "Dont worry baby I got you and I'm never letting go"

After a few minutes Baekhyun landed at the opening of a cave.

"Baek what's this? Why did you bring me here?" Chanyeol asked a bit confused.

"Well umm... I need to explain something about dragons... You see when they find a mate they don't just jump on them... First they go and find a cave and fix it up. Make sure it's claimed, safe and then builds a nest for their mate and... The family he plans to raise with their mate"

"You want us to live in a cave?"

"No it's just... A place for our dragons"

"I'm not a dragon Baek"

"I mean... Humans get a ring and propose to show their commitment...this...this is my way of saying to you that I love you and ... I want to be with you forever"

"Are you sure?" Chanyeol was close to tears. Just earlier on he was doubting Baekhyuns feelings.
"But you haven't marked me"

"Baby... It's been so hard for me to hold myself back. I wanted to wait until you were ready because my mark would change you"

"I don't care Hyun and I love you. Mark me. Make me yours. We can deal with the rest later"

"Well then. It's a good thing I built a nest" Baekhyun said as he led his mate into the cave.
