How to Train Your Dragon AU pt. 2
Ship: Kiribaku
3rd Person POV
Kirishima couldn't stop thinking about the arrogant blond man he met. It had been four months, he thought he'd have forgotten about him by now, but the angry viking had something about him. What it was, he didn't know. But it was something.
Kirishima was in full dragon form as he flew through the clouds, parting them as his wings flapped. He loved looking over the ocean as he flew, the waves crashing beautifully upon each other. After about an hour of flying, he decided to land somewhere for a food and water break.
He landed in a secluded forest area that seemed long and connected to another area of land. He figured he wouldn't explore past the first few hundred yards, so he should be safe from humans. Kirishima sat on the shore leading to the forest and caught fish, one after another, until he was satisfied. He turned back partially human, but kept his horns, tail, and wings. He had the thought to start a small fire to cook the fish, but that thought was interrupted by yelling.
"No, you dick!" A voice yelled. Kirishima recognized it immediately. It was the blond viking man. He never did catch his name-
"Yes!" An unfamiliar voice yelled back. Kirishima panicked for a second before climbing up a tree, high enough that nobody could see him and definitely quiet enough that he couldn't be heard.
The blond man walked over to the shore with a spear, spearing a fish straight down the center of its body. He pulled it up and plucked the fish off, sticking it in a basket that the other man was holding. Kirishima couldn't even see the other man as he was hidden by the leaves of the tree. He quietly tried to adjust himself to see the other man, but instead slipped and fell right out of the tree.
The other two men quickly jumped and looked towards Kirishima. The blond's face flushed red. One man, he noticed who had yellow hair, started walking towards him. Kirishima could feel the nerves racking up inside of him. He tried to back away, but his damn wings were in the way. The yellow-haired man reached out a hand. "Here, I'll help you."
Kirishima reluctantly took his hand and stood up with the assistance, then brushed the dirt off his legs. "Thanks..." he mumbled, looking up at the blond man.
"Bakugo, look how cool this dude is!" The yellow-haired man turned towards the blond man, whose name is apparently Bakugo. He turned back towards Kirishima, rubbing the back of his neck with a small laugh. "Sorry! My name is Denki. Denki Kaminari." He smiled wide.
"Uh, hi," Kirishima smiled slightly, "I'm-"
"Eijirou," Bakugo intervened. "He's half dragon." He was definitely blunt. Kirishima blushed and looked down at the ground, his pointy ears turning red as well.
Kaminari gasped. "A dragon?!" Bakugo sighed and shook his head. "Aren't we supposed to kill these guys?" Kaminari asked.
"Yeah, but I let him go, okay?" Bakugo grumbled. Kirishima watched as Bakugo looked anywhere but him.
"But why?" Kaminari asked yet another question.
"Because he wasn't any use to us."
"He's half dragon! He could help us locate the other dragons!"
"Like hell he'd do that!"
Kirishima finally sighed, snapping the two men out of their little debacle. "Am I needed?" he asked, obviously done with the bullshit.
Bakugo walked up to him, having to look up slightly due to their height difference. Kaminari smirked at the blush spreading across the blond's cheeks. "Looks like Bakugo has a cr-" he began before Bakugo slapped him upside the back of the head.
"Shut up, asshole!" he growled, but Kirishima blushed even harder, if that was possible.
Kaminari rubbed the back of his head with a slight grumble. "Whatever. Just be back before dark." He ran off, leaving behind Bakugo and Kirishima.
Kirishima finally looked him in the eyes. "Why do you kill us?" he asked suddenly. Bakugo was taken aback by the question.
"I...I don't know," he answered simply. "It's how I was raised."
Kirishima smiled his spiky smile. "Wanna go for a ride?" Bakugo didn't have time to answer before Kirishima shifted into a dragon; first growing claws, then his legs transforming, then his body. Bakugo almost couldn't believe what he just witnessed. Kirishima nodded his head towards his back, as if saying hop on.
Bakugo slowly got onto Kirishima's back, holding on tight around his neck. Next thing he knew, Kirishima had taken flight. He flew over the waters, through the clouds, and even scared Bakugo with spin tricks around tall rocks. Kirishima's heart was beating fast though, and not because of the intense exercise of flying. Bakugo was actually trusting him. The man seemed to doubt everyone and everything he ever came across; at least, that's what Kirishima gathered from his brief interaction with him. Once he found a good spot, he landed and allowed Bakugo to jump off of him.
"Where did you take me?!" Bakugo yelled. Kirishima flinched a little bit then rested his head down on the ground. Bakugo sighed, "Not gonna tell me, huh? Guess I'll find out myself." With that, the man stood up and began to walk into the wooded area. Kirishima breathed out of his nose, little embers dropping to the ground.
Kirishima decided to follow Bakugo. He waited about five minutes after he left to make his way into the forest. The farther he went, the more he felt uneasy. The birds were eerily quiet, and it only got darker as he went farther in. He didn't like the feel to this place, but he had to find Bakugo before he left.
Kirishima noticed footprints in the dirt where the trail of leaves ended. He followed the footprints, but what he came across scared him to death. Bakugo had his back pressed up against a tree, another man holding a dagger to his neck. Kirishima growled, pulling the man's attention away from Bakugo. The man smirked at Kirishima then rushed towards him with the dagger in hand, aiming straight for his throat. He dodged and hit the man with his tail, knocking him off to the side. He didn't even notice the cut down his leg before he rushed over to Bakugo. The blond man had scratches all over his face and down to his chest. He breathed heavily, looking behind Kirishima at his attacker. The dragon turned to look behind him, but before he knew it, an arrow sliced through the air, past his face, and into Bakugo's shoulder. He cried out in pain, falling down to the ground.
Kirishima snarled and narrowed his eyes. His only thoughts were to keep Bakugo safe. He couldn't even think straight, and before he could stop himself he blew out massive flames from the back of his throat. He caught the whole forest on fire, trapping the man in a circle of flames. Kirishima nudged Bakugo with his head, trying to get him to climb on his back. Bakugo wasn't responding, which caused Kirishima to worry. He had to think quick; he barely picked himself up and hovered over the ground, his wings flapping the flames to the side, and picked up Bakugo with his hind claws. He carried him away, leaving the attacker to burn in the fire.

A few hours after the incident, Kirishima was able to get Bakugo home. He shifted from dragon to partially human at the shore and carried the man from there. Everybody gave him skeptical looks, but ignored him as they took Bakugo away to the healing ward. Kirishima waited outside the building nervously.
A man who looked like Bakugo but older with darker hair and a scruffy beard approached him. "Who are you, young man?" he asked.
"Um, my name is Eijirou Kirishima, sir," Kirishima responded, his nerves making his brain jumble a little.
"I'm the chief. I see you saved my son." Kirishima nodded slowly. "And you're part dragon?" He raised an eyebrow at the dragon man. Kirishima's face suddenly flashed with fear.
"I swear I didn't do this-" he began, stuttering and mixing up all his words.
"Boy, I'm not going to hurt you," the chief stated calmly. "I was going to thank you for bringing my son home safe. He can handle himself against dragons but other people are a struggle still."
Kirishima sighed out of relief and looked towards the building with Bakugo in it. The chief patted his shoulder. "He should be awake in a few hours. Look around while you're here. Nobody will touch you." Kirishima nodded as the chief walked away.
Kirishima walked around the village for a few hours. Multiple children came up to him and asked questions about being part dragon. Their parents would give him nervous looks and try to guide their children away, but he'd happily smile and explain the answer to whatever the excited kids would ask. He stopped by a small stall that had fruit and ate some, not realizing how hungry he was until then. He walked away to the shade of a tree to examine the cut on his upper arm. He winced as he ran his fingers over the dried blood, pulling at the skin to get a better look at the back of his arm. Kirishima rubbed some of the blood off before making his way back to Bakugo in the healing ward.
"Bakugo?" Kirishima peeked his head into the room. Bakugo grumbled and looked up at him.
"What?" His voice had a slight rasp to it as he spoke. Kirishima blushed and walked over to the blond. A small smile crossed the dragon man's face.
"I'm just glad you're okay," Kirishima said, giving him the brightest smile he could. Bakugo tch'ed. He then looked at Kirishima's arm.
"Dumbass," he Bakugo mumbled as he pulled some bandages off the bedside table. Kirishima gave him a confused look, but Bakugo just wrapped the bandage around his wounded arm. It wasn't bleeding very heavy anymore, but just enough to be an inconvenience.
"How's your shoulder?" Kirishima asked and reached down to touch his shoulder. Bakugo winced slightly.
"Hurts." Bakugo's cheeks were now dusted pink. Kirishima wondered, was it the close contact? Is he uncomfortable? He pulled away from him and sat on the side of the bed. Kirishima felt a slight pressure on the top of his hand. He looked down to see Bakugo's hand on top of his while the blond man looked to the side.
"Thanks, I guess," he mumbled, barely squeezing Kirishima's scaly hand. The redhead's face got hot.
"Y-you're welcome," he stuttered, then mentally shamed himself for being so awkward. "I didn't wanna leave you behind..."
Bakugo stared up at him before leaning in close to Kirishima. His hand cupped the dragon's face while his lips barely brushed against the other's. "Dumbass," he repeated in a whisper before pressing their lips together in a kiss. Kirishima felt his heart skip a beat and his stomach fill with butterflies. He was so entranced that he almost forgot to kiss back. Kirishima moved in rhythm with Bakugo, their lips perfectly in sync. Bakugo pulled away first, gently panting as saliva coated his lips. Kirishima buried his face in his hands.
Bakugo smirked and nudged Kirishima. "Next time, don't take me somewhere dangerous."
"I'll try..." Kirishima blushed, pressing a quick peck to his lips. "Next time, don't get in a fight."
