twenty nine || holding hands
Requested by therantingrakkamma !
Hello, hoomans. I am back after a burden of homework and studying, dilemma about my future because I'm now already at the last year of high school *panik*, and other personal issues.
Anyway, let's begin!

1. First, let's draw a slightly curved line
2. Then, draw a short line connecting from the line we just drew
3. Draw another curved line and we have a sleeve!
4. Color in the shape we just drew with the bucket tool, I also colored in the black outline
5. Next, duplicate the layer. Go to the [+] with the white box then choose duplicate layer. Then, flip it horizontally, the button is on the right side. I forgot to circle them so here it is :
6. Go to filter > adjust color > change color and pick a color to your liking, make sure both the colors compliment each other
7. Okay, I don't know what shape is this, but for the hands, draw this sock(?) shape with a color to represent skin
8. Color it in with the bucket tool
9. Repeat it on the other side, make sure it's on a new layer underneath
10. Select one of the sleeves first (check part one about selection). I selected the orange sleeve on the right first
11. Let's say for this cover, the light source is on the right side. Which means the left side is darker than the right. So, I only colored a bit on the left side of the sleeve with a darker color as shading.
12. Deselect (check part one) that sleeve then select the next one.
13. For the left side, I made more shading since it's more darker
14. Deselect the sleeve, then adjust the opacity of both shading to your liking
15. Next, select the hand that is laying on top of the other
*yes, i forgot to align the pictures in the middle, just pretend you didn't notice it🗿
16. For the hands, draw two thin lines to indicate fingers, and I also colored in a small part next to the sleeve
17. Deselect the left hand, then turn off the visibility of that hand so it's now invisible. After that, select the other hand.
18. For the other hand, it's a bit different. Since it is under an object, it's darker. Like, try putting your hands on top of another and there will be a shadow in between. (Btw turn on the visibility of the other hand)
Color in with a darker color, remember to color more on the darker side
(Yes, I am squeezing in four images here)
19. With a slightly darker shade, make thin lines for the fingers so the lines and the shading won't get mixed together
20. Adjust the opacity as per usual
21. Optional, I added a paper texture (from icon8 on pexels) on top of the illustration
22. I changed the blending mode to multiply and lowered the opacity to 10-15%
Add some text and you're done!

Although it looks simple, it was actually quite frustrating when I first made it. I couldn't pick the right color and font, but thankfully my friends helped me.
And my god, this tutorial's explanation is so repetitive and wordy. I hope it's still understandable tho.
On the other hand, I still can't believe my first book has already had 99.9k views when I checked it yesterday-- like WHAT. I thought about making something like "100 things about me" in honor of 100k 😳😳😳.
I am also trying to make another cover for this book but I have no time 🙂
Also, another problem, I still don't know what major nor which college to go. I am currently stressed out and anxious, especially when my family and friends keep asking me that. LIKE, I DON'T KNOW SIR/MA'AM.
Anyway, thank you for listening to my short rant. Suggest any tutorial you'd like to see next, goodbye and have a nice day everyone!
