Blazekit sighed. A good nights sleep. She finally had it. The first one in moons, seasons! And she enjoyed every bit of it. But every good moment must come to an end. She felt a small tinge of movement underneath her paw. She shook it off, staying relaxed.

"B-Blazekit?" She heard a whimper. She let out a breath of annoyance. It was still dark, and every cat was still sleeping in their nests. She couldn't really complain though, she could now have breaks during the day to take naps. So what if she still did, she had a sleeping problem. She needed as much as she could get.

"Blazekit? A-are you awake?" Blazekit grunted softly at her sister's mews of distress.

"Yes." She mumbled. She heard a small sigh of relief.

"Can I sleep beside you, I'm hearing them again." Blazekit smiled kindly, eyes still closed, in the kit's general direction.

"Of course Ripplekit, just hurry up, or I'll fall asleep." She said, motioning with her paw. Ripplekit smiled brightly, then slipped under her sister's foreleg.

"Your so warm!" Ripplekit squeaked happily.

"Ripplekit." Blazekit warned. The kit shut her mouth, and slowly fell asleep. Blazekit stared into nothingness as she opened her eyes. The sky was starting to grow brighter, but it was still dark enough. She closed her eyes once more, this time pressing them tightly together. The soft breathing of her sister lulling her to sleep.

When she reawoke, Rowankit had his head on her shoulder and Ripplekit was still tucked beside her fur. Tawnykit was curled near their mother, snoring softly. Rowankit yawned, then crawled near Ripplekit. He rubbed against Blazekit's fur, before laying down. Blazekit smiled, and wrapped her tail around her brother.

That's odd, Crowkit hasn't tried to wake me up yet. She thought after a few moments. Just then, she felt a small tug at her tail. I thought too soon. She sighed.

"Blazekit! I know your awake, come on, lets do something." Crowkit whisper yelled.

"I hate you..." She muttered, but got up anyway. "Why are we up again?"

"The sky's awake. So I'm awake. So we have to play!" Crowkit cried, rubbing against his denmate. She muttered things like; "Stupid sky." under her breath.

-Le time skip.. because I suck.-

"Crowkit we're not doing that." Crowkit's face fell. "What? Why not?" 

"Because that's something Honeykit would do you mouse-brain!" Blazekit rolled her eyes. "Do you see how much trouble she gets into?"

"Yeah.. but Amberflight just loves us! We're like the littermates she never had!"

"Yeah sure. Littermates that are less than half her age. I think you meant kits she never had."

"Yeah that too." Blazekit sighed at her denmate's behavior. But smirked nonetheless. "Hey Crowkit?"

"Yeah?"

"I dare you to go into the medicine den, and lick the first weird thing you find." Crowkit nodded. "I will go. And when I return, uncaught, you have to do something for me."

"Yeah, yeah, sure." Blazekit laughed quietly as her friend snuck into the medicine den.

"What are you doing up young one?" Blazekit froze, and turned around slowly. "Oh Branchtail, it's just you." She let out a sigh of relief. Branchtail chuckled. "Getting into trouble I see?" Blazekit huffed.

"N-no! I'm just.. um, waiting for, uh, Specklepaw! Yeah that's it. She uh, she said she would help me." Blazekit cringed at her terrible lying skills. She then heard a small shriek and saw a laughing Crowkit crawl out of the den. "It was Amberflight! The first weird thing I found was her laying on her belly, sprawled out." Blazekit rolled her eyes again.

"And where did you lick?" Blazekit chuckled. "Her ear, it was the closest thing to me.. but her tail was flipping.. so I may or may not have attacked it.. and it scared her.." Crowkit trailed off laughing louder.  "And she knocked over some herbs! Specklepaw looked devastated.. but Badgerfern looked even better. The best part is. I'm still in one pie-"

"Uh-oh.." Branchtail smiled. "Looks like Badgerfern's coming for you.." Crowkit froze and whipped his head around to a semi-empty camp.

"You really got him there Branchtail!" Blazekit laughed. "I never would've thought of that one!" This time Crowkit rolled his eyes.

"Yeah sure, but I'll get you back later." He chuckled.
