Chapter 28
Jungkook crossed the street. He was glad he memorized the way to Jin's house; he hoped Jimin was there, or that would be kind of scary. To be alone with Jin...
"Oh... Hey I made it! Would ya look at that?" He praised himself with a firm nod. The younger boy started to get some cold sweats, however fought it back. If Jimin was here, it wouldn't be so bad. With a deep inhale, he walked up to the door and just before he knocked, he could hear some yelling happening inside.
... Now he was curious.
Instead of knocking, he decided to gently place his ear against the door.
"I can't do this anymore!"
"You keep telling me this, but you were the one who..."
"I know! I know! Fuck... I just want to live in peace."
"We both know that's not possible, Jimin."
"I want to... I want to stop the bet."
Jungkook furrowed his brows, along with a little gasp coming out. The bet... Didn't Jin mention he had a bet with someone? Did this mean he had a bet with Jimin?
"Are you sure, Jimin? You realize, when it's done, the reason I'd end it personally is because he knows too much. That and well... I enjoy it. Maybe not with him too much."
"Shut up! I just want to end it and leave everything we did without having to k—"
Jungkook accidentally kneed the door in an attempt to get closer, but failed and resulted in the two to stop talking. He started to sweat and breathe heavily and didn't want to get caught, so he decided to improvise. He knocked on the door a few times with shaky hands, then with a little whimper he said, "Hey Jimin, are you in here?"
At first he thought they were ignoring him. No more sounds could be heard and he thought he was goign to get killed. But he heard footsteps come by and the door opened.
It was Jin.
"Why, hi Jungkook!" He greeted with a smile, "What brings you here?"
Kookie unintentionally averted his eyes under Jin's strangely piercing ones. "I wanted to come see Jimin."
Jin inhaled, stared for an uncomfortably long amount of time, and then nodded, all with a smile still plastered on his face. "Come in! Come in! Jimin's just in the dining room drinking some tea." He let Jungkook come in and close the door behind him.
"How nice you take care of Jimin like this." He praised Jungkook, though it didn't sound anywhere near positive feedback, especially with those strange eyes. He just nodded his head and continued his way into the dining room, knowing Jimin's presence would make him feel better.
"Jimin... Hey." He walked up to Jimin, however a first grasp on his shoulder kept him in place. Jungkook looked at Jin, who smiled at Jimin. The brown haired boy narrowed his brows for a minute though made sure to keep his calm posture.
"Hi Kookie," He replied. The pink haired boy was playing with his fingers nervously. A thick silence hung in the air. Jungkook found this entire situation to be awkward.
However, something seemed to be misplaced.
"Jimin... Your glove?"
It wasn't there. His glove was missing. He knew Jimin brought that everywhere. Even during sex! Jungkook was at a complete loss.
"Oh yeah, that old thing... I just left it at the house." He laughed anxiously, not looking Jungkook in the eye. Jungkook nodded, though he was still dumbfounded.
"So, the murderer is finally caught." Jin said. If Kookie had heard it well, he also heard some disappointment in it. Why? Jimin lowered his gaze.
"Yeah, thankfully." He coughed. "Um... Jin?" Jungkook decided to speak up. He cursed himself silently for having his voice shake a little. "Did you win your bet yet?" The grip on his shoulder tightened a little. Jungkook didn't want to shove it off, as he thought it would trigger something in Jin in a bad way.
"Not quite... Things are taking longer than expected. Honestly, the pesky man that I talked about is really getting in the way. I'll have to talk to him one day, get things cleared out."
"Oh..." Is all he said. Jin nodded in content, but he could feel his eyes burrowing on him like razorblades and it really made him feel uncomfortable. Though... He still couldn't stop thinking about the strange thing going on here.
The glove that was gone from his hand. He still couldn't see what was on Jimin's skin because his long sleeved striped shirt was hiding it, all the way up to his little cute fingers. He had to admit; he looked adorable. Though that wasn't the point. Why, all of a sudden? Why did he decide today of all days, to take off that glove? It just doesn't add up. If Yoongi said he left without a word, then yeah, he had a right to think something was off.
He had enough with this.
"Okay, something's happening here. Something really fucking weird."
"What do you mean, Jeon Jungkook?" Jin pressed, his hand sliding off of the boy's shoulder.
"None of this is normal. Not even a little bit. Jimin," He pointed, "You never take off that glove. And Yoongi told me you left without a word so I came to find you, coming home from College. And you guys –" He pointed to the two, "I heard you talking about this... This bet. Jin, you have a bet with Jimin? Why hide it from the beginning? What is this bet? Who's this pesky man? Who knows too much?"
Nobody said a thing.
Jungkook got irritated and stormed up to Jimin, grabbing his hand. "We're going to have a talk—" Jungkook stared in awe as he watched the sleeve slide down Jimin's arm. The skin that everyone was dying to see. The reason why Jimin always covered his arm wasn't just because of the glove. Everyone knew that. The reason why was right here.
Jungkook looked back into Jimin's eyes, unable to process what he was seeing. Jimin returned the stare with horror plastured on his face. Neither of them moved for what felt like forever.
Jimin... Are you really...?

When Jungkook texted Yoongi he was going to check out Jimin's room, there he was, already staring at the glove, Jimin's diary, and a note placed on Jimin's bed.
The glove made Yoongi stare in disbelief; why would he want to take off the glove? Wasn't it something precious to Jimin?
I made that glove for him.
Why, Jimin? What's wrong?
Then, he looked at the note.
He gulped, thinking of a million things that Jimin could have said. Like maybe a breakup? Maybe Yoongi hurt him? He was scared to know what was on that sheet of paper, but at the same time he had to know. Maybe he said where he was...?
Slowly, the thin piece of paper slid in between his fingers, lifting from the blanket of the bed. Yoongi started reading but his face distorted into fear and pain and sadly, disgust. He dropped the note, placing a hand over his mouth, attempting to keep his breathing right. Unfortunately, he failed. Yoongi felt his heart throb painfully against his chest. And for the first time in forever, he felt tears threatening to fall.
All of a sudden, Yoongi's head started aching in an excruciating pain. He gritted his teeth and gripped tightly at his head, an effort to calm down the agony though it wasn't much. As he had become used to this feeling, Yoongi knew what was about to happen next.
But he wasn't ready for what was to come. For what he had to face. Not this time.
