~Loki~
What to do with (Y/N)? She's never been to Asgard before, and I want to show her all that I can. I thought as I made my way back to (Y/N)'s room.

"You going to show (Y/N) around Asgard?" My brother asked as I walked down the hallowed halls of my home.

"Yeah. I figured she would have settled in by now."
I answer shortly, but not rudely.

I soon found myself in front of her door, where I knocked excitedly, suddenly realizing that I wasn't just showing her a city of gold; I was showing her my home. My life. The places and things that built me.
Remembering something we had talked about when we first met, I then knew exactly what I wanted to do with her today.

After a second, her beautiful face popped out from behind her door. Her wings just peeking out from behind.

"Hello Loki!" She greeted me kindly, and cheerfully. It made my heart melt to hear her say my name so sweetly. "Whatcha need?"

I internally laughed at her nonchalant question and entered the room when she widened the opening between the door and the wall.

"I just wanted to see if you were settled and ready to see Asgard?"

"Of course I am!" She happily answered, fluttering her wings about like a happy fledgling.

"Well, in that case, I had something in mind." I smirk as and eyebrow is raised.

"And what would that be?" She replied, putting and emphasis on 'that'.

"It's a surprise."

She gave me a questioning look as I smiled at her.

"And what would that be?" She asked.

"It wouldn't be a surprise if I told you now would it? Come here, close your eyes and let me lead you. Please." I gently requested.

She did so, grabbing my hand; the feel of which made me happy.

I gently took her hand, and rested my other, free hand on her back to keep her stable.

We started moving, slowly at first, then more comfortably as she got used to my lead. I brought her out of the palace by the back, and led her to the stables.

Even with her eyes closed, she knew where we were. All it took was the neigh of one horse to send her wings up happily. She perked up against me and a huge smile grew over her face.

"Alright Love. You can open your eyes."

Her eyes shot open, and the sunlight shined off of her childlike wonder. She was quiet for a few seconds before she spoke,

"Loki...this is-beautiful! These stables are amazing!"

Her praise of the stables I had spent so much time in growing up made me overjoyed. She quickly took to one of the stables, seeing one of the horses watching her intently. She leaned her hands against the white stable door, whose edges were trimmed in gold.

The familiar white mare in the stable, whose eyes were a piercing blue that calmed the heart stared at (Y/N) just as admiringly and attentively as I would have.
Gently, (Y/N) reached her hand up and pet the mare's soft nose, and the mare brushed her nose against (Y/N)'s hand.

"Whose this Loki?" She asked, not taking her eyes off of the snowy horse.

"That's Kostr. She's one of the best. I learned to ride with her." I introduced (Y/N) to the mare I knew so well.

"Can I ride her?" (Y/N) asked, still in awe of Kostr.

"Of course you can. Give me a second and I'll get her tack. I don't know if you're familiar with Asgard's saddles, and bridles. From what I've seen, they're quite different." I warn her as I go to grab the tack.

Once I get back, I saddle up Kostr and another grey dapple mare named Àstir. We mounted, and I gave (Y/N) a second to get used to Kostr and the strange tack. She walked around the stables a bit before giving me the sign that she was good to go.

"Ready?" I asked her as we exited the stables, prepared to face Asgard's beautiful countryside.

"Yes!" Her enthusiasm was amazing. She patted Kostr before leading her into a walk, and I did the same with Àstir.

I lead her all around the fields I had grown up in, and we galloped for what seemed like ages and ages. The wind whipped our faces, and an Asgardian backdrop slowly faded from a bright morning, into a watercolor sunset whose sky was dotted in galaxies of stars.

We stopped on a hill which was ornamented with an old oak tree, and a beautiful view of the sea. When we dismounted, our legs felt all wobbly and we laughed at ourselves and each other as we leaned on our horses to keep us standing.

"Loki! That was amazing! I had no clue how beautiful Asgard was!" Her voice chimed in my ears as she now leaned on me for support.

"It is quite the beauty isnt is?" I asked rhetorically. "For as long as I've lived here, I've never really taken the time to look at it and appreciate it. Not until now at least. It was always just there. I guess I just took it for granted." I stated as I sat against the tree and pulled her onto my lap.

"It's alright. We all do that sometimes Loki. It's just what we do. We don't realize what we have until we've been somewhere worse. And that's okay." (Y/N) said with a voice as calm as the breeze that gentle rustled the grass and the horses manes.

"I guess it is. Earth isn't so bad if that's what you mean. Much more inventive than I gave it credit for originally. It's quite the cute little place." I had to say.

"You say that because you've only seen the parts of the world that can afford to be a safe, little place for a home. You haven't seen nearly the worst of it. Not at all."

Her somber tone sounded unnatural. It wasn't right to hear something so sad from her.

"Say, (Y/N)? Wanna hear a story?"

She seems to break out of her saddened stupor to look at me with wide, newly-excited eyes.

"Yes!"

Her happy reply makes me smile as I remember the story I wished to tell.

"Alright, so there was one time where I went to visit Alfheim. I was looking for an old scrip to aid me in my magical ways," I pull up a little green whisp which fades as quickly as it showed while I explained, "when I came across this gorgeous creature on the road in. It blocked my passage into the city, as it was trained to kill anyone which seemed hostile. How I came off as hostile I'll never know but....," I trailed off as (Y/N) chucked at my little joked, "Anyway, It was like a black leopard, but it had four front legs, and the usual two in the back. It's tail was more like a horses. It had four eyes and wings like a hawk. Amazing to look at, but its claws were what worried me. Fearing for my life, I quickly transformed myself into one of these creatures, which I soon learned was called a Geyma. The strange thing stared at me in wonder for a few seconds before letting out the smallest little mew I'd heard from such a large creature. I broke out into a mess of laughter, but it sounded more like a deep, hacking growl because of my form. Instead of earning passage just this once, I earned passage for all my life just by scaring the poor thing! Every time the Geyma saw me, she ducked her head and ears, and let me pass with no problem. The elves of Alfheim were so surprised that they gave me what I wanted as soon as I asked and treated me to my hearts desire. Even today, I'm still a welcome guest. It's quite hilarious. It is to me anyway." I added in the last bit once I realized that no reply had come from (Y/N).

Then I looked down to her, and I found her to be asleep, curled up beside me, with her head in my lap.
As I sat there, watching the rise and fall of her gentle frame, I felt that there was just something about her under the Asgardian night sky that made me realize how lucky I was to have her. How perfect she was. I found myself drifting off to sleep, and I didn't fight it because I knew she was there, safe with me tonight.
