Painting's Worth a Thousand Songs

"Wow, who knew painting was so much work.." John grunted, he kept having to redo the feet of a model drawing he was struggling with. It seemed like no matter how many times he looked at what he was drawing he could just never get it right. "You'd think I'd be able to draw feet considering I stare at them almost all the time and have a good score on Wikifeet! How can a soft rectangle with five nubs at the front be such a pain to draw?"

Stu simply smirked, he knew how much a pain he had drawing people before. That was why he mostly stuck with more abstract drawings. "Oh believe me, it took me two whole years just to make a good looking hand, let alone one that's to scale with a realistic body. We probably need a couple more models to perfect feet, unless you'd want to make it look like your character has elephantitis. Actually that would be good practice drawing the deformed."

"Yeah but this is the sixties so it would just end up being insensitive to those people, I really gotta learn to draw a realistic model or else I'll get expelled from art school!"

"Just for flunking a class?"

"And for disrupting the class, placing a firecracker under the teacher's desk, pissing myself when laughing too hard at Shotton's joke, causing general sabotage and a whole lot of other stuff from that leaked paper of all my bad behavior at school. I gotta pass with flying colours or else I'm gonna get kicked out and Mimi will have to send me off to another college because she said she can't put up with my pranks any longer."

"Whoa, yeah that does sound pretty bad. But I think I know someone who might be able to help out with your anatomy problem, I met a fellow artist back in Hamburg when I started dating Astrid. Of course by met I mean I took his girl the moment we meant but he didn't mind as long as I gave him my bass, his name is Klaus and he's one of the best artists I know."

"Oh sure, like I'm gonna take a lightning fast trip to Hamburg just to get a couple free lessons from some guy I never met. It would take a miracle for him to-"

"Did someone say they needed help with their drawing skills?" Klaus exclaimed, popping up right behind the auburn haired guitarist. "Since I barely get enough recognition as is I'm gonna take over this story and change a couple things about history to make myself the center focus. So here I am being the best artist in the world and helping John succeed in his art college classes he's gonna ditch anyways or else Beatles history will end very differently."

"Yeah yeah, so will you help me pass this grade and help me finally draw good looking feet or not?.......................... Wow that was worded so wrong."

Klaus just grinned and with a wave of his pencil sketched him a perfect foot. "It would be a lot easier if there was some way to get pictures of whatever you need to draw on a whim like that, maybe in the future of art? Who knows?"

After John managed to pass (the teacher had a few choice words about the slits for pupils but said the feet looked so good she didn't mind at all), Klaus was brought in as the head artist of the Beatles. You may not have known this but he actually did the cover art for all 13 of their albums! For some reason only the Revolver one was used because the boys couldn't think of a good enough photoshoot to impress Brian with.

"Wait did that really happen?" You ask.

Nah I just wanted to be generous to Klaus since I almost forgot it was his birthday yesterday and needed to rush this out or else I would just look like a jerk who only cares about the four main Beatles and not any of their staff or affiliates. But I bet he's back with Astrid alongside Stu now up there, so happy belated birthday I guess. "Well it's still better than nothing I got last year."
