Promise's boyfriend Daren has just left over seas to go fight in the terrible Vietnam war. Their  relationship was on the verge of a breakup when he left. Not over but very close to being. To escape the stressful atmosphere that surrounded her everywhere she went, Promise decides to visit her cousin Amy in Liverpool, England. There she meets a sweetheart bass guitar player named Paul McCartney. There is a strong connection between them instantly. But Promise is still in a relationship with Daren....

Kathleen is a 18 year old girl working at her own book shop in Liverpool England, everything is wonderful, and one fateful day a mysterious young man named John Lennon comes in, Kathleen at once is intreuged with this sarcastic handsome boy. As time passes they become very close friends. Nothing was more important than their friendship. But then the fame begins to rise for the Beatles and John. Kathleen starts to notice change in her best friend and is worried that the fame will get into his head. Changing him for the worst. And maybe even start to influence things in his life. Such as his marriage and friendship with all of his friends, including hers....
