Hope burns bright
Deep in the forest and close to a mountain side stood a large castle, the kingdom of Bright Moon. The sun shined brightly upon the kingdom. Inside the castle the princess of Bright Moon, Glimmer was writing in her journal. She has tried to save some of Bright Moons territory from the Horde and let's just say things didn't go well. Glimmer tried to explain her intentions to her mother and that ended well either.
"Dear mom, I know you will never read this, but I have to say it somewhere. I feel like that you don't.......respect me." Glimmer said as she wrote in her book. A few seconds later a arrow few in and hit her wall. Glimmer jumped out of surprise and alarm. She looked at the arrow and it opened up to reveal a cute drawing of her friend Bow with the words Look Outside written on it. Glimmer didn't need to look twice to know who it was from.
She walked to the window and looked out. "Watch it! You almost hit me!" She said shouting in a whisper like way.
Not surprising, Bow didn't hear a word she had said. "Hey Glimmer!!" He shouted to her. "Shh!" Glimmer said as loud yet not enough for anyone in the castle to hear her.
"Bow. What are you doing here?" Glimmer whispered shouted to Bow. "What did you say? Come down here!" Bow asked Glimmer. "I can't. I'm grounded." Glimmer whispered shouted. "....What?" Bow called out.
This went on for about a minute or so until Glimmer teleported to Bow and teleported him into her room
"I'm grounded." She said annoyed as she teleported him into her room. She took a breath of annoyance as she looked down to the ground.
"I'm so mad at my mom." Glimmer said groaning in annoyance as she started walking around her room.
Seeing his friends attitude and actions he could tell something was wrong. After a couple seconds Bow knew exactly what was wrong. "Is this about that siege on Elberon?" Bow asked. He felt like he already knew the answer.
"I was just trying to defend another one of our villages from falling into the Hordes clutches! She stationed me all the way out there because it's too remote to ever get attacked, but then it did, and it was my one chance to prove that I can do this. But she acts like I can't do anything because I'm just a princess." Glimmer said with a mix of annoyed and frustration and teleported to her bed which was hanging off the ceiling. All Glimmer ever wanted to do was prove that she was capable of leading a army and that they can fight against the Horde.
"That doesn't make any sense. Everyone here is a princess." Bow said. He wasn't lying, almost everyone in these kingdoms was a princess. "I'm, like, the only one who's not a princess." Bow said in realization.
"Tell that to my mom." Glimmer said in a whiny voice as Bow started to clean things up in her room. "Hey where does this go?" Bow said holding what I think is a towel. "Bottom drawer." Glimmer said possibly assuming what it was.
"Anyway your mom might have a point. Only reason you got out of there was because of your teleportation powers, and, let's face it they don't always work that well." Bow said to her in all honesty. It was true, Glimmer May have the ability to teleport but could only teleport some much and teleport only so many times.
"Looking for support here Bow!" Glimmer said. "I'm just saying, if you want to prove yourself it's going to take more than running recklessly into old battle." Now said climbing up steps to her bed.
"Luckily, I've got just the thing. Check this out." Bow said as he pulled out a tablet like device. "I detected a piece of first ones tech in the Whispering woods. A pretty powerful one too by the size of these readings. There is also another signal but I'm not sure what it's supposed to be, but it's pretty powerful from what I can tell. We find one or both of these and bring it back, your mom is bound to be impressed." Bow said as he gave Glimmer the device. She looked over it. She had to admit, it was a pretty good idea and would impress her mother without a doubt. There was only one small, tiny, problem with Bows plan.
"Did you forget I'm grounded?" Glimmer asked Bow. Not even five seconds after she had said that, her mother, Queen Angella had started knocking on the door.
"Glimmer? Are you in there?" She asked both softly and nervously. Glimmer gulped nervously and knew she had to hide Bow or else her mother would either freak out or get even more angry then she already was that morning. Glimmer grabbed Bow and immediately teleported him back to the forest. She then teleported back to her room and stood at her door. "Everything is fine mom." Glimmer said surprisingly calm. However, Angella was not convinced.
"Is someone in there? I heard voices." She said. Glimmer opened the door a bit and looked up at her mother. "No one else is in here. Can you leave me alone?" Glimmer said. She was desperately trying to get her mother out of the room.
"I don't appreciate that your tone right now young lady." Angella said scolding her daughter.
(A few minutes of unneeded argument later)
Bow was laying against a tree outside the castle until Glimmer appeared. "I'm in." She said.
Catra would often snuggle up with Y/N every night in his bed. Every night she would always lay down at the food of his bed and snuggled up with him. Catra enjoyed snuggling up with Y/N. Sometimes at night she would even hear Y/N mumble something like "Teddy bear." Or "Kitty cat." Or even something like "Kitty Catra". Catra adored listening to Y/N talk in his sleep, the only problem was that whenever he said something like that in his sleep, she had to hold in her laugh so she wouldn't wake anyone. Last time she did that she ended up with a annoyed Shadow Weaver and Sinestro.
However this night was different, much different. Tonight as Catra slept at the foot of Y/N's bed, she decided snuggle up closer to him. Once she did this this, she couldn't find Y/N. She opened her eyes tiredly and realized that Y/N wasn't in the bed. She looked around the room a realized that Y/N wasn't even in the room.
"What the? Where is he?" Catra asked confused and got up. She looked next to her and saw Adora getting up.
After Y/N fell from the ship and while he was discovering the Blue Lantern power battery, Adora and Catra started looking for Y/N desperately throughout the woods attempting to find him. While looking for him, Adora had come across a sword. It was deep in stone and had vines wrapped around it. Adora didn't know why but she felt like it was calling to her. As Adora left the room and walked into the hall, Catra called out to her "Hey, where are you going?" Catra asked her. Adora looked back at Catra a bit surprised "Back to the woods. There is something I need to figure out." She said as quietly as possible as Catra walked up to her
"What? You're not-" Before Catra could finish her sentence, Adora covered her mouth and pulled her into a hiding spot to avoid a robot patrolling the hallway.
"What's wrong with you? You've been acting weird since we got back. Are you sure you're not brain damaged?" Catra asked as she looked over Adora's face. Adora pushed Catra's hands away. "Look, I know I saw something out there. I just need to get another look. It just feels important somehow." Adora said
Catra smiled. She figured that Y/N might be in the same area where Adora was heading, plus she was in the mood for some action with her friend "Sounds good. Let's go." Catra said and was about to start walking until Adora stopped her "No." Adora said
"I don't want you getting in trouble on my behalf." Adora said. She didn't like the idea of her friend getting into trouble just because she wanted to discover what was calling for her in the woods. Catra already had a bad reputation with Shadow Weaver and Sinestro.
"Just cover for me okay? I'll be back before anyone knows I'm gone." Adora said as she started running
Catra took a breath and said something she knew would have Adora take her along. "Y/N is out." She said. Adora's eyes widened "What?!? Why didn't you say so let's go!!" Adora said as she immediately grabbed Catra's hand and quickly dragged her away.
Meanwhile with Y/N
Y/N wasn't sure what to think. The day had started out normally and completely out of the blue he is given a powerful ring, although it wasn't really powerful yet, he was still new to this. He didn't fully understand how the ring worked. He couldn't make anything yet. "Now just focus. Think about what you want to make." Saint Walker said in a calm voice. "You don't think I've tried that yet? That's what I've been doing!" Y/N said upset. For the past two hours, the two had been sitting by a waterfall getting wet, sitting on stones, getting cold, getting hit by fish and sticks, not to mention the sound of splashing and rushing water was annoying at this point.
"Just focus and be patient. Don't think you need to rush into this. Nobody gets it on the first try. Try me, I've seen over hundreds of male, female and non binary Blue Lanterns, not one succeeded on this on the first try, no matter what people tell you. Not one succeeds on this the first time." Saint Walker said as he took a sip of his tea. He looked up and saw Y/N getting up and walking away.
"And just where do you think your going?" Saint Walker asked. "I'm leaving. I've got better things to do with the Horde. At least we are trying to do great." Y/N said. "Are you sure about that?" Saint Walker asked as he drank his tea. "What? Yes I'm sure. Mom, I mean Shadow Weaver said." Y/N tried to explain but Saint Walker stopped him.
"If she had told you the earth was a triangle and told you to find the point, would you do it?" Saint Walker asked. "First off, what's earth? Two, if she had proof I would probably do it. Depending on the situation." Y/N said.
"Well does Shadow Weaver have proof that what your doing is great?" Saint Walker asked. Y/N opened his mouth to say something, but what Saint Walker said was correct. For years Y/N was told that they were doing what's best for the planet. Not once had he seen evidence.
"W-well...maybe.....well I......alright I've never seen evidence." Y/N admitted. "Exactly. That's because nobody wants you to know the truth. You have no idea about what the princess's really do. You don't know the slaughter that happened. You have no clue about the horrible tragedies that the Horde has resulted in many lives." Saint Walker said as he took a bite of bread.
"Y-you don't know what your talking about!" Y/N shouted. Saint Walker look un phased by Y/N's outburst. "Denial and disbelief. Probably should have saw that one coming." Saint Walker said and drank tea.
"Perhaps I need to show you the truth. Wether you like it or not." Saint Walker said as he put a blue power ring on and created a large blue bubble that picked up both he and Y/N.
"What the? Where are you taking us?!" Y/N asked alarmed. "Somewhere in this forest to show you the truth. The training can wait." Saint Walker said as they took off into the sky and started flying over the forest. "Ok? But we gotta get back soon. Catra, Adora, and Shadow Weaver are probably gonna freak out if I'm gone too long." Y/N said.
"If they are part of the Horde then they have no heart." Saint Walker said. "I'm part of the Horde." Y/N said a bit offended. "Your different. The ring chose you for a reason. I don't know why yet. But there is something special about you." Saint Walker said. "Why else did you not leave me when you had a chance? It's because deep down you know something is wrong." Saint Walker said. Y/N was about to say something but stopped, Saint Walker was right. Deep down Y/N felt like something was wrong with the Horde.
"No wait! Come back! Come back!" C3-PO shouted as he and the other droids finally found where Y/N was, only to find out he was leaving again. "Unbelievable. We travel all this way to find you and you leave us again." C3-PO said clearly upset. "Bye bye." Gir said as he waved to the giant blue bubble.
"Are we lost?" Glimmer asked Bow as the teo wandered aimlessly throughout the forest. "No, this thing is acting up. Looks like it's been overloaded by the techs signal." Bow said. Glimmer listened and looked up. Her eyesight widened as she witnessed what she saw. Two males in a large blue bubble in blue suits and had glowing blue rings. "Bow! Bow! Look!" Glimmer said as she shook him and pointed up. "Whoa, whoa, whoa Glimmer! What is it?" Bow asked completely startled. He looked up and was surprised at what he saw.
"Bow. That's, that's, that's." Glimmer was
"That's a Blue Lantern." Bow said. "Two of them. But aren't they extinct?" Bow asked as the bubble flew over them.
"More important, there are still lanterns active!" Glimmer said excited. When she was a child, her mother told her tales about the lantern corps and how they battled various aliens and invaders, only to mysteriously vanish when the Horde attacked.
"We gotta follow them." Glimmer said. "Wait what? Glimmer." Bow said confused but Glimmer already took off after the blue bubble.
"I'm just gonna say it, this was a bad idea. What were you thinking when you decided "Hey, maybe I should go looking for a sword that doesn't exist that was also probably a result of brain damage." Catra said as she walked with Adora through the Whispering woods.
"Catra, you didn't have to come. I said you should stay back at the Horde but no you had to come along." Adora said as she managed to got out of a bush. "Well someone has to save you when you and Y/N get into trouble." Catra said. She was mostly looking forward to saving Y/N.
When she and Adora were kids, they often played a game where they had to save Y/N, seeing how he was the smallest there. Catra had to admit, little Y/N was adorable.
She then bumped into Adora, who had stopped walking for some reason. "Hey Adora, what's the big idea? Why did you stop?" Catra asked as she looked and to her surprise, saw a sword in a clearing in the forest.
"Oh. Not brain damage." Catra said completely surprised as she saw a sword in the forest.
If Catra was being honest, she really wasn't expecting to find a sword. Did that mean that Y/N really found a giant blue lantern? If so, what was going on? Why were these things out here?
"Wait? Who just leaves a perfectly good sword out here?" Catra asked surprised as she and Adora approached the sword.
Just as Adora reached out for the sword, a shout was heard. "Horde soldiers!" A voice shouted.
As Glimmer and Bow were following the two blue lanterns, they ended up losing track of the two lanterns. They had gotten lost for a bit until they came across what Bow had detected earlier.
Adora and Catra looked at the new arrivals. Glimmer noticed Adora trying to grab the sword and immediately teleported to her while Catra ended up fighting Bow.
However Adora was quicker and grabbed the sword. But once she grabbed it, a blinding light filled her eyes and images flashed in her head along with various voices.
Next thing she knew, she was tied up with Catra. "She's awake!" Bow shouted. Catra just had a look of annoyance on her face. "Catra? What happened?" Adora asked. "Quite Horde spy's! I ask the questions." Glimmer said trying to sound threatening, and it surprisingly worked. "Also your cat partner hit her head on a tree." Glimmer said. Catra had tried to tackle Bow, only he was able to move out of the way quickly and Catra hit her head on a tree, much to her embarrassment.
Catra groaned at the memory. It was embarrassing to say the least, in her opinion at least. "Looks like Y/N's the one who's gonna have to save us." Catra thought to herself. She was honestly hoping that she would have to save him. But she couldn't help but wonder where he was right now.
"Oh where is he?! If Shadow Weaver finds out that we lost him, she's going to have us for scrap!" C3-PO said as he, R2-D2, BB8, and Gir walked into the area. "Oh, hi Adora. Y/N's been taken.....I think." Gir said
