As I watch Kayla run off, I couldn't stop thinking is she really a Brawler, or an enemy?

She really looks suspious to me. It is wierd to see a newcomer in Bakugan City who really doesn't know much how dangerous Bakugan really is.

Drago said, "Dan, you really sure you don't trust her? She really looks amazing on the battlefield." 

"Look, Drago, it's really been three years since we last saw the others. We did kind of leave Bakugan City without saying goodbye after all." 

On every adventure we had together, we have our ups and downs. Even Shun admits he was careless about Brawling at our side.

As I enter the restaurant that Runo and her family owns, I saw the Bakugan Brawlers . 

They were surprised to see me all banged up and full of bruises.

"Dan, what the heck happen to you?" Marucho asks me with pushing his glasses up to his face, examining the marks on my body.

"Well, I was on my way to surprise you guys when Pyros attacks me and Drago.

Then all of a sudden, this girl shows up with a new Bakugan." I explained as the Brawlers looked at me as if I was absolutely crazy and knocked to the head.

"You  actually believe that there's a new Bakugan? Are you sure about this, Dan?" Shun ask, smirking at me.

"I'm serious guys! To me, she's up to something and she did something way advance battling." I said, trying to reason with my closest friends.

Runo said, "I think you being away from Bakugan City cause you some brain damage."

"You really think I was actually making this up? Come on you guys, I'm dead serious about this!"

They laugh at me.

Kayla  

I sat down in my chair, and look at Leonidas. 

"Ok, Leonidas, start at the beginning. What happened in New Vestoria?"

The Bakugan sighs, "It happened a few days after the defeat of Wiseman, things haven't been the same since.

Bakugan is fighting against each other, like they're possessed. It's trying the planet apart, piece by piece.

I was the only one to escape and I carry the final sphere of life within me." 

I said, "Man, what kind of lunatic would try to make Bakugan fight each other even though they're peaceful beings?

Well, I can't let that happen to you, Leonidas. Whoever's behind of all this, has to be after the Sphere. I 'll help anyway I can to defeat them and save all the Bakugan from their possession."

"I knew that I could count on a human such as you, Kayla. Thank you." 

As I was about to reply to him, my mother said, "So, it seems that you would be going on a journey to New Vestoria." 

"Mother! I um, wait, you knew that this would happen, even though it would be dangerous and might worried about me?" I ask her with surprise.

"I'm not all that shocked with you, Kayla. When your mind is made up, there is no point of me trying to stop you." She said.

She turns to Leonidas, "Now, Leonidas, I want you to take care and watch over my daughter, would you?"

"Don't worry about a thing, Miss. I would do anything to protect my partner."  Leonidas replied with concern.

As I packed up my things, Dan said, "And where you think you're going in this late hour? Your parents wouldn't like you going undercover mission." 

"Dan, it's something I have to do. Besides, you can trust me. I'm really a good Brawler, a great addition to the team if you just accept that I'm on your side." 

That was when I had an idea that might worked . I immediately pulled Dan by the shoulder as we pulled through the interspace portal to New Vestoria.

"Wait, is this what I think it is?" He asks me as we land to New Vestoria hard on the floor.

"Ok, that hurts." Dan said, as I dust myself off, which I saw destruction of New Vestoria.

"Oh, no." Drago said, seemed horrified of what he is seeing.

"I know, I'm so sorry that you have to see this, Drago." Dan said, trying to comfort his partner.

As I look on the horizon, two people said, "Dan, Drago!" 

"Whoa, Fabia! Aster, what you two doing here?" Dan said, looking at them.

"The Bakugan is going out of control! We can't stop them!" Fabia explains with worry look.

'This is going to be hard. I know I'm a new Brawler and I have a promise to keep to Leonidas.' I thought in my mind.

Shun

Could Dan be right? Can it be that this girl is an enemy or she is really on our side? As much I know Cusco, things would be out of hand.

I bet that he's in New Vestoria as we speak.

"Now, where you going, Shun?" Marucho asks . Julie said, "Probably going after Dan as always. I swear, Dan always go into trouble when we're not there." 

Runo touches her arms, "what should happen in New Vestoria? We have to check it out." 

"No way! Runo, it's too dangerous for you to go!" I said, sternly, but she said, "I already made up my mind, Shun. Tigerra, let's go!" 

Alice said, "I already hacked into Dan's Bakugan Gullet and it will transcend you both there." 

Shun said, "Thanks, Alice. You're a big help." 

Marucho said, "I'm  coming too. There's no way that Dan would go off in his own like that." 

As we went through the portal, Dan, Fabia, Aster and a girl was stunned to see us in New Vestoria.

"Shun, Runo, Marucho?!?" The girl exclaims with pure shock, "What you guys doing here? Wait you guys actually decided of coming here on your own, didn't you?"

Dan said, "You guys really don't have to follow Drago and me all this way you know." 

I said, "Dan, wither you like it or not, we're here to stay." 

"Well, we have to find a better place to hide for now." A blue Bakugan said. 

"Wait, who is that Bakugan, and how you know New Vestoria?" Marucho asks.

"I'll explain later." The girl replies as she notices a two Brawlers.

"Hey, you really want answers, you will get them." A boy said.

Dan looks at Drago, "Ready to do this?" 

"Always, Dan." Drago said, but the girl steps up, and jumps into thin air and threw the Bakugan she was holding!

"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand!" She cries, and reveals a similar version of Drago!

"What the-" Runo exclaimed.

"Leonidas, how does it feel to be in the saddle for battle?" the girl asks him.

"Great! Let's use our powers together, Kayla." 

Kayla nods, "You got it! Ability Activate!  Fire Wind Shield!" 

The gullet shows that it destructs the opponent's life points.

"Incredible! You weren't kidding, Dan! She's incredibly amazing on the battlefield!" I said, totally impressed of her brawling skills to put into good use, but Dan doesn't think so.

"Something isn't right. I really think we shouldn't trust her." Dan said.

Kayla finishes the Brawl as Leonidas turns to the Brawlers.

"I really didn't know that these humans ever visited New Vestoria and know about it."

Kayla said, "Leonidas, come on, lighten up man. These are the six Bakugan Brawlers who saved New Vestoria." 

I said, "Well, four of them anyway. You really know who we are, but not you." 

"I'm Kayla and this is my Bakugan , my new partner, Leonidas." She explains herself, "I'm here because Leonidas needs my help. It's kind of hard to explain the situation right now." 

We went to Fabia's castle, which Kayla whistles. "Nice digs. It's great to have allies like Fabia to help us out." 

"So, Leonidas, you were born here?" I ask.

"I really don't want to talk about my origin yet. Right now, Kayla and I need to do some business here in New Vestoria.

That's why I brought her here, to help me." 

"What could be more important if you work alone, Leonidas?" Runo asks.

As much I want to know more about Leonidas's origin, I knew that I shouldn't press my partner if he doesn't want to talk about it.

Even though it is curious to me of why he decided to come for me to help him of freeing the Bakugan from their destructive possession, it does make me wonder who is behind all of this.

Fabia was sitting in her room as I knocked. "Come in!" She said as I entered the room.

"Kayla, what brings you here?" Fabia asks. 

I said, "Well, it's just you knew Dan better than I do. Does he really get mad at other Brawlers?"

"No, it's just it would take him a little while to get know you. I'm sure that Dan would get around to you and Leonidas eventually. 

You and Leonidas have important mission of freeing the Bakugan from their possession. As the Queen, I will help you with anything you need." 

"Thanks, Fabia. It would make things a lot easier. I just hope that Dan would accept me as a Brawler and part of the team soon."  I turn to my partner to help us with our investigation.

"Leonidas, do you see anything else beside the Bakugan fighting against one other?" I ask.

"Nothing out of the ordinary yet, but I do sense evil forces are at work here. We just need to find out what or whom they want." 

"Well, if they want the Final Light Orb within you, we have to be more aware of our surroundings." I said to my partner, "Or else things would be ugly." 

Suddenly we heard a scream. 

"What was that?" Leonidas asks with pure curiosity. 

"Don't know, but we must check it out ourselves." I said as we follow the scream that we had heard recently.

As we arrived, Runo was been held captive with an mysterious Brawler with a mask.

"Masquerade?" I asked with a curious look. 

"No, I'm not him, you innocent girl! I am Makua and this Brawler would make my Bakugan stronger by controlling her partner ." 

"Let go of me!" Runo declares.

I flex my wrists as Dan and the others show up.

"Runo!" Dan cries, as Makua flings a wild wind to cause him and the Brawlers down.

"Hey, leave my friends out of this! Leonidas, let's get Runo back ourselves!" I said, as I threw a game card to begin the battle.
