Chapter 9. Upset

'Sideswipe?'

He flashed me a charming smile while rubbing his hands together. He seemed cold and it didn't really surprise me either. It's chilly and by the looks of it, he has been standing here for quite some time. 'I wanted to pick you up from college.' I walked up to him, kissing his cheek. 'Thank you. You could've texted me beforehand. I could've let you know when I was done.' He shrugged and opened his door for me. I hopped in; buckling up. 'You look beautiful. I never get to see you in normal clothes.' He pouted. 'Silly mech.' I nudged him. 'Or naked.' I gave him a look while he kept smirking. 'Have you found a femme yet?'

'Uh, I'm working on it.'

'Right.' I looked outside. Sideswipe laid his hand on my leg. He usually holds my hand, but he was in a mood to tease and act naughty. 'What?' I shook my head. 'Get that smug look off your face Mr.mischief.' I saw him shiver. 'What is going on with you,' I sighed. 'Just horny.' Sideswipe shrugged. He took me home. 'You'd like to come in or should I leave you alone with your hormones.' Now it was his time to roll his eyes. 'I'm coming obviously.'

We hopped out. Sideswipe locked his alt-mode and walked after me to the front porch. I opened the door for him. 'Anything exciting today?' It was the first time he today he asked about it. 'Honestly, yes...' he cocked his head to the side. 'There's someone who asked me out for a date and I said yes,' I trailed off while removing my coat. 'I know I have been asked before and went on several dates, but this one feels different.' Sideswipe was oddly quiet. 'Why does it feel different?'

'I don't know, just a feeling. Maybe you've to share me.' He smiled, but it was a fake one. 'Yeah, share with a human male... sounds awesome.' He passed. The sarcastic tune in voice wasn't lost on me. 'I only share you with one person and that's my twin brother.' I followed him. 'Do you got any beer?' He opened the fridge. 'Isn't a little bit too early?'

'No.'

He grabbed two and flopped on the couch. I sat down beside him. 'So, you don't want to be my wingman?' I nudged him. Sideswipe paced his beer down on the table. 'What if he kisses you? You've never been kissed.' I shook my head slowly. 'It's a first date, Sideswipe. What do you expect is going to happen?' I taunted. 'It could happen... and he's going to run off because you've no experience.' I stared at him. 'No... he won't.' He cocked a brow. 'Maybe I'm really good,' I sulked. Sideswipe laughed at that. 'Prove it.'

Now it was my turn to cock a brow. 'I'm not going to kiss you.' He shrugged. 'Sure, mechs should kiss femmes, right?' Before I could reply to that his lips crushed on mine. Sideswipe held the back of my head loosely. It felt amazing, but it became quite passionated. He but my lip softly, drawing a little bit of blood. He adjusted his hands and pulled my waist closer. A dark blush crept up on my face as he pulled back. My heart was beating like a maniac. 'Now you know what to do.' I brushed a little bit of his salvia from my chin.

((Sideswipe's P.O.V))
I had expected her to be really shocked, fluttered and shy but she wasn't. At least, not that much. She gazed at my lips for a moment and I saw her thinking. 'You're a good kisser.' I laughed at her first comment. 'That's how it should feel, but no one is better than me, so...'

'You just kissed me.'

'Yeah, to show you how it should feel. To teach you.' I took a sip of my beer. She curled up against me. 'Whatever happens, you'll always be my number one.' She patted my stomach softly. 'I know.' She snorted at my arrogance. The smile on my face faded as she laid back down again.
I wanted to stay for dinner, but was called back to base for my patrol. I was thinking about skipping it, but I didn't want to risk getting grounded again. I need to be there when she goes out for her date.

'I'll see you tomorrow.' She smiled and nodded. 'Totally.' I nuzzled my nose with hers before I left. The desire to stay was big but I'll see her tomorrow again. She has to work tomorrow.
I drove back to base and was just in time. Luckily not all traffic lights decided to bully me. Ironhide would've murdered me if I was late.

((Katie's P.O.V))
'You are early.' I cocked a brow. It was 7 in the morning and Sideswipe was already up and running. Although, he didn't seem to be fully awake yet. I flashed him a smile. 'We really need to talk about your date thing.' I huffed while he walked me to the office. 'How come?' I gazed at him. 'Are you sure? Last time was a disaster.'

'I appreciate your concern but if you're coming along nothing can go wrong. I feel comfortable if you're around.' I flashed him a smile. He huffed; 'you want me to hold your hand too when you're having sex for the first time?' I blinked. It came out cold and rude. I know he can get mean, but he never showed it towards me before. 'Did I do something wrong?'

'No.'

He's not in a good mood. 'I'm sorry...' he gazed at me but I didn't reply. 'I didn't mean that.' I shook my head. 'Yeah, whatever, forget about it,' I muttered; pressing on the elevator button. Sideswipe pulled me in an embrace.
I stepped back when the elevator doors opened. 'Why don't you go back to bed? It's too early for you anyway,' I muttered. 'Katie...' the doors shut and brought me the second floor.

Sideswipe came to visit me during my lunch, like he always does. 'Hi...' I glanced at him. He stepped in. 'I'm sorry about this morning. I'm a little bit edgy... Ironhide is working on my nerves and I haven't slept well.' He sat down. 'Why not?' He shrugged. 'Just some nightmares.' He waved his hand to dismiss it. 'Maybe you should stay at the base.' He raised a brow. 'What?! Why?'

'Because I don't want you to ruin this for me.'

He stared at me like I just grew three heads. His face showed a mixture of betrayal, anger and even a little bit of jealously. 'Come again?' I sighed. 'You're edgy, and I don't want you to ruin this for me. I really like this guy, Sideswipe.' He licked his lips before a glare started to form. 'Right, yeah sure.' He got up. 'Sideswipe, come on... please.'

'No! I get it! You're just—' he cut himself off. 'Don't think I'm accepting to be on the second place, Katie!' I sighed and got up. 'You're overreacting, Sideswipe. I'm not pushing you aside. What's the big deal anyway? It's not the first date. Last time you didn't act like this.' He gritted his teeth before he stormed off.
