Chapter 4

"Dylan?" Mom called and walked in right after she knocked , to see me adjusting my shirt. My door wasn't fully closed so.

"Oooh," she smiled and sat on my bed. "Where are you off to?"

I turned to her. "You don't come in until the other person has told you to, that's how the whole knocking thing works."

"And this is my house, so do I look like I need your permission to come into any part of my house? No, sweetie. Now, where are you going before I knock you unconscious and ship your ass to Azkaban?" She questioned as she walked over to my bed and sat on it.

"Well, Mrs. Dexwell. I am going to the movies with a friend." I said as I adjusted my jacket collar once more. I was putting on a white top and black jean jacket that matched my black ripped jeans. "So. Is this okay?"

"Yeah. It is. You don't need my advice concerning your dressing, cause you always wear what's right." She chuckled " I'm glad you're making friends"

"Well. They're the ones making me. So." I shrugged and smiled. "And yes. I don't need your fashion advice."

"So, is this a date or-"

I turned to her with a blank expression.

"Oh, just a hangout. I got it." She nodded and I flashed her a smile.

Mom huffed. "So what movie are you and your friends going to see?"

"The Boss Baby" I shrugged.

"You finally going to see that movie, huh?"

"Finally gonna," I sighed "And nothing's gonna stop me this time because I have had a lot of ruined opportunities to see that."

"Good, cause I cannot have a grownup baby crying about a baby movie"

"If you weren't my mom, I'd say shut up." I said as I grabbed my phone and was about to exit my room.

"And if you weren't my son, I'd say you're ugly " she fired back. My jaw dropped as I turned to look at her.

What the fuck?

"MOM!"

"I'm kidding sweetie" she laughed. "You're extremely handsome. Why do you think I keep telling you to steal the cheerleader? Cause she'd say yes! Cause well, my son is handsome."

And that's not gonna happen cause guess what? Your son is gay.  Yay!

"Oh," I smiled. "Yeah, that's right" I nodded, fake smiling. "Anyways, I would love to stay and chitchat but....I honestly don't wanna." I said and left my room with a smile, I could still hear her chuckle as I left.

"I will be waiting for you in this house and I swear I will push you down the stairs."

"Good luck trying to kill me, I'll just reincarnate some way and get my revenge." I said as I walked down the stairs.

"You think you'd come back?" She asked as she walked out of my room.

"That's what reincarnation means, isn't it?"

"Your smart mouth will put you in trouble some day, Mister."

"I am looking forward to it, mom."

"Wait. Did you think I was gonna buy the popcorn myself?" I chuckled. "Don't forget you asked me to the movies, you're gonna pay."

"Fine! But just this once." He said and paid for our popcorns and drinks and as we were about to ask for boss baby tickets. I heard that one nickname, only one person calls me.

"Snow white?"

My laugh trailed off as I instantly turned, knowing who it was.

"Chucky, hey!" I smiled, surprised she was also here. Jaxton gave me a look once I called her that, but Raven just smiled and made her way to us.

Maybe she didn't hear me.

"Well, look at that, we are here together."

"Yeah, it does not seem like a coincidence."

"Huh?" She cocked her brow.

"Are you stalking me?" I asked her.

"You are not straight, why would I stalk you?" She questioned and turned to some girls she had come with. "You girls go ahead, I'll meet you inside."

They nodded and walked away, she turned back to me with a smile. "I will not be meeting them cause now you are here." She said and looked behind me.

"Oh, hey Jaxton, I didn't see you here." She smiled.

"Hello, Raven." He smiled back. "It's nice seeing you here."

These were fake smiles. Raven's own was that mean kind of smile while Jaxton's was the 'why did you cross my path today' kind.

"So, what movie are you boys wanna watch?" She inquired.

"The Boss Baby." Jax answered. "And we are about to grab our tickets so we should probably start going." Jaxton said, I could tell he was ready to leave the scene, and by the scene i mean Raven being present.

Raven arched her brow and looked from Jax to me and back at Jax then at me. "Are you both kidding me? The Boss Baby?"  She emphasized on the title.

"Well, I've never seen The Boss Baby." I emphasized as well, mocking her.

"No. We are not seeing The Boss Baby."

"We?" Jax furrowed his brows.

"You speak french, Raven?"

"Shut up.  We are going to see kong." Raven beamed.

I laughed. "Uh, no. We're not." I shook my head.

"Oh, I do want to see Kong." Jax clapped. I looked over at him and shot him a look. "You know, m-maybe Kong could be some other time." He shrugged.

"As it should be."

"Dylan." Raven groaned.

"We won't see Kong. We're going to see The Boss Baby."

"Not today, Snow white." Raven said and Jax grinned.

"Not funny, and come on, Barbara Gordon. I came here to see that freaking damn cartoon that everyone in the world has seen except me, so if you would please let me go see it."

"After Kong? Sure. Anytime." Raven smiled and shrugged.

"I hate her," I muttered.

"Stop being such a baby about watching that baby movie!" She said, sounding so much like my mother right now.

I just stared at her. "Really?"

"All in favor of 'Kong?'" She said and put her hand up. Jax looked at me and smiled.

"I'm sorry hun, but—"

"Jax" I shot him a 'don't you dare' look but that did no good and he just put up his hand making me sigh in frustration.

"Great then! Kong it is. I'll get the tickets." She grinned and walked further.

"Really, Jax? Really?"

"You might enjoy it," he shrugged. "We can always watch Boss Baby anytime." He chuckled.

"I hate my new friends, it's official."

"You can't hate your new friend, I'm awesome."

"Can't believe you picked Kong. A while ago I thought you didn't like Raven?" It came out as a question.

"Yes, and I am still sure I don't like her, but I had no idea Kong was out and I wanna see it. Oh come on, Please! Please." He begged with a pout. I sighed defeated.

I hate this.

"Fine but I get to eat your popcorn as well and you can't say anything about it or beg me for any."

"That's really unfair."

"Your choice." I folded my arms.

"Fine."

I smiled. "Kong it is."

"It's not like you had a choice." Raven said as she walked back to us. "Here. Your tickets." She said and handed them to us.

"Just so you both know," i pointed the ticket at her. "You owe me" I said and walked ahead.

"Okay, kong was awesome" Jax said with a grin as we walked out of the cinema.

"Yeah, a little. I mean the CGI was just a little too much. Kong was tooooo.....gigantic!" I shrugged. "He's gotta be taller than mount Everest."

That was what bugged me about the movie. All the creatures were just too big. I mean extremely creepy big. The grasshopper? Really?

"And the grasshopper scene though." I grimaced.

"Oh yeah, I felt sorry for that guy. I really wanted him to survive. I mean, he has a kid. Why would they kill him? It was just so heartbreaking." Jaxton sighed.

It really was. I had felt bad that he died. I was literally screaming No. It sucked.

"Oh well, boys. It's just past nine. Does anyone wanna go have some smoothies?" Raven asked as she turned to us and we stopped walking.

"We just had some drinks inside." Jax said with a little frown.

"Oh come on guys, It's still early. We'll just...talk." She shrugged. "I'm sure Jaxton has something boring he'd like to share with us."

"I will not be talking about you tonight, Raven." Jaxton said and I laughed instantly.

"That was a really good one, and of course we are gonna talk, it's not like we would have a threesome." I huffed. 

"Oh God no. But I can watch you guys do it." She smirked and opened the car. "Come on guys." It was a red Ferrari Lusso, this was definitely not the car I saw her with, the first time.

This was a Ferrari. Ferrari's are expensive! This was a shining, expensive car.

"Who owns this car? Oh my God, did you steal it?" I gasped.

"Sweetie, I can do many things but stealing isn't one of them." She then shrugged. "Well, stealing cars." She added making Jax chuckle. "The car i drove to school was my brother's and I just wanted mine and I knew my crazy brother would complain and when he did, I came back home today to a new car." she smiled deviously "It would have been nice if it was black but then, I have red hair so...meh" she shrugged.

Oh my God. Really? They bought her a Ferrari? The fuck? Who were her parents? Bill gates and Cheque gates? Damn.

"Cool." Jax muttered. 

"This is awesome." I chuckled.

"I know, Now get in. At least, my best friend will be the first to sit in my car, right after me of course. And his...." She looked over at Jax. "...new friend." She finished up. I chuckled and got in, sitting in the passenger's seat while Jax sat at the back and seconds later, she drove off.

"How did your parents afford this?" I asked still in awe as I admired it. This was awesome. The car was amazing and still had that new car smell.

Jaxton snorted. "It's Raven." He muttered.

"Daddy did. Daddy works in the one place everybody knows and he is part of the board of directors." She said with a smile.

"For what? Pornhub? Facebook?"

"Pfft. Even better. Google." She said with a smile.

My eyes just popped out.

"Shut up, you're fucking lying."

She laughed. "I'm serious, you could goggle it out now. The family of Kaiden Frost. Go ahead" she said and I took out my phone immediately, I looked back at Jaxton and he did the same. I had to check it out, myself. Google won't lie to me.

The page loaded, there was a photo first. A picture of a man with black hair smiling and then a boy with red hair standing next to him, he was hot and looked too serious, like....way too serious and next to him was...was raven. Oh my laud. And then a woman, I'd assume is her mom, she also had red hair .

"Definitely not lying." Jaxton muttered.

"I just saw the photo myself. Raven, this is....this is...i don't even have the word for it. Does anyone even know cause no one acts like it?" I asked as I clicked the first heading and read through it. He worked at Google and he was filthy rich.

"You should be in a private school or something, and be the mean girl there." Jaxton said scrolling through his phone. "Not here and torturing people's lives."

"Not everyone knows. At school? No one. We wanted normal lives." She shrugged, Jax and I exchanged looks.

"Yeah, having a Ferrari is sooo normal." I flashed her a sarcastic smile. "Oh my," I snapped my fingers. "You know what I should do? I should totally get one! That is a normal thing to do."

"Shut up! All people know is daddy's rich, just because my father is the third highest paid in that company doesn't mean I have to rub it in other people's faces-"

Really now?

"-i mean, it'd be fun to do so but if something bad happens. God forbid it but if it does, It'd affect me in many ways and I so don't wanna go from mean-rich-girl to crucified not-mean-anymore-cause-she's-poor, girl." She finished with a scoff.

Jax and I chuckled.

"You're amazing, killer frost"

"Thank you, Snow white."

"Now, borrow me one hundred dollars, Red Sonja."

"Fuck you, Titan."

"Okay, I've gotta ask. How did you both come up with these names?" Jax asked with a chuckle and we all just laughed.

The night was really fun, I had to go home after getting three missed calls from mom and of course I had to lie saying it was traffic, and me leaving as also them leaving. We had been laughing and talking about embarrassing moments. We had three smoothies each. How? No idea but raven insisted on paying and i didn't say no, she invited us out so she's gonna have to pay for it. We understood raven telling us her rich secret was also for us to keep quiet about it. Also because she threatened to cut off our dicks in a lab at 3AM in Mexico right after we get kidnapped. Everywhere i go, the women are crazy. Jax was also fun. He lived with his mom and eight year old sister, a according to him there was nothing special about his life but somehow I felt something was being left out, like he didn't want us to know something. You know that movie Legion where they went into David's head and to his memories and then there was always something missing in it and there'd be a glitch. To show that a part of the memory is missing. That's how I felt right now. There was a glitch in his story but I understand if he didn't want to talk about it. Raven's life was too good to be true. Too perfect. Something also just wasn't right and then me. Told them about my other life in Seattle but I did leave out the eight years ago incident. If they weren't spilling then neither am I.

We first dropped Jax home and then Raven took me home. I was happy that we all got to hang out. My new friends. Raven was already calling us best friends but I don't know. It felt right but I still have Isabelle. Oh that reminds me. I haven't called her today.

I unlocked the door with my key and walked in, shutting it slowly so it wouldn't make a loud noise. I turned and there stood mom. I got startled and jumped back. "Oh my God. Mom. You almost gave me a heart attack"

"Dylan! It's 10:50!" she said with a straight face.

"Sorry mom, We just went out and then I met the head cheerleader girl at the cinema and...."

"Oh! Don't say anymore" she smiled. "You two didn't...?"

"Mom. I swear to God, you've got a dirty mind. It's probably rotten from all the things you think about" I gave a disgusted look and walked past her, she just laughed and followed me to the kitchen.

"What? I didn't even finish my question. Anyways. How was the movie?"

"We watched Kong mom. Not that boss baby movie" I sighed.

"Oh dear. God really doesn't want you to watch it huh"

"I guess so" I shrugged.

"Hey. No coming home late okay. If you're gonna be home late. At least call me so I wouldn't worry much. I'm your mother. I couldn't sleep knowing you weren't back"

Awww. I didn't mean to keep her awake and make her worry. More reasons why I love my mom, she's a total .........mom.

"I'm sorry mom" I smiled at her and hugged her as I closed the fridge after taking out a bottle of water and then I hugged her. "Next time. I will call" i smiled

"Good. You hungry. I can make you something "

"No. Go rest mom. I had a lot of smoothies today and..." just then my stomach grumbled.

She looked down at my stomach and back at me. I was biting my lip.

"You were saying? " she rose her brows.

"I'm hungry" I said and sat down on the stool.

"Yeah. I thought so"

Way to go tummy. Making me look stupid. You could have first told me you were hungry before telling mom. Stupid...
