Chapter Thirty Four: Shock
*******Jimin's POV*******
"Hey, where did Mandy go?" Yoongi asked as he joined me on the couch I had been sitting on as I observed everything going on around us. I had never seen so many K-Pop idols in one room together, outside of an awards show or a comeback stage.
"I think she went to find something to drink," I told him, then I frowned. "Actually, she's been gone for a while, maybe we should find her and make sure that she's okay."
"Yeah, this is a lot of new people that she doesn't know," he said, turning his head to try and get a glimpse of her. "I know that she doesn't like people to touch her, but I'm not entirely sure how she feels about crowds like this. There's a lot of people to bump into."
I frowned again, then stood up and offered him my hand. "Let's go find our girl, Yoongi."
Once he was up off the couch, we started making a slow circle around the room, pausing to ask out friends and hers if they had seen her. None of them were any help at all. Jin told me that he thought she went outside. Kris said she went to the restroom. Hobi told me that he thought he saw her hiding in a corner a little while ago. Jungkook said he had seen her a few minutes earlier, and she was going to check out the food, and he asked her to bring him back some cookies, but she never did.
"Where the hell did she go?" Yoongi asked, his frustration seeping into the tone of his voice.
"I don't know, ba-" I stopped talking when I finally spotted her.
She was standing next to a bowl of punch that I'm pretty sure I saw Yeonjun pour an entire bottle of vodka into earlier, while Kai and Taehyun giggled nearby. They could both legally drink now, so I don't know why they found this so funny.
Mandy was standing there talking to a guy who was towering over here. She was giggling at whatever he was saying, and to be honest...I didn't like it.
I looked at the guy, to see who he was. While we have met almost every single current idol, I don't know them all very well, and there were a lot of names and faces to keep track of. I think that this guy is from Ikon, but I couldn't be certain.
I turned to Yoongi, because he was a lot better at remembering people than I was. "Hey, who is she talking to?"
"Huh?" Yoongi asked. I just realized that he hadn't spotted her yet, so I pointed to where she was standing. He looked over and his beautiful lips dipped into a frown. "Uh...I think he's from Ikon. Song, maybe? Yeah. I think that's it."
I frowned too, as I turned back to them, my jaw dropping as Mandy shook his hand. She actually let him touch her? She never lets anyone touch her other than me, Yoongi, Kris, Mairette, and Kit. She hated being touched. She always shrank away from it. Hell, she did it with me when we first met, and it had broken my heart a little.
What was so special about this guy?
The guy...I'm pretty sure that Yoongi is right, and his name is Song, or his stage name, anyway...reached out to touch her arm.
And she fucking let him!
No. Nope. This was not fucking happening. How dare he touch my soulmate!
I turned to Yoongi. "What the hell is happening right now?"
"I...I thought that she didn't like to be touched," he said, his voice soft and sad as he watched her. "She didn't even let us touch her at first, and we're her soulmates."
"I don't know, but I don't like it," I told him.
"Do you..." he took a deep breath and let it out on a sigh. "Do you think she has more soulmates than just us?"
"No. No way," I said, shaking my head.
"But I thought we had decided that the only reason she could let us touch her was because of that?"
"I don't know, but I'm not just going to stand here and let this happen," I said.
Yoongi glanced over at me. "Uh-oh. Sassy Jimin is about to come out, isn't he?"
"You have no fucking idea."
"Good. I like sassy Jimin," he told me with a smirk. "He's hot."
"And regular Jimin isn't?" I asked, cocking one of my eyebrows.
"Oh I find all versions of Jimin so hot that I constantly want to bend him over something," Yoongi says. "But sassy Jimin...he makes me want to bend over something."
"Well then get ready to find a couch or a counter or something that is low enough for you to bend over, because he's about to come out."
"Okay, look here, Sassy Jimin, you're the same fucking height I am!" Yoongi told me, looking annoyed.
"I know," I giggled a little. "But I like irate Yoongi. He's pretty damn fuckable himself."
"Come on," he said. "Let's go and get our soulmate before she becomes a full-on Ikonic."
"Yeah, that's not going to happen."
I walk towards her with Yoongi following me, and stand right behind Song, crossing my arms and raising an eyebrow at Mandy when she notices me standing there. She ignores me and keeps talking to the man in front of her, so I tap my toe a few times, really starting to get annoyed.
Mandy sighs and rolls her eyes, then smiles at Song. "It was nice talking to you, but I have something that I have to do."
Song frowned down at her. "You're leaving?"
"Yeah, my soulmates are waiting," she says, glancing behind him at me and Yoongi.
"You...already found your soulmates?"
She smiles and nods. "Yep. Excuse me." She walks around him to where I'm standing and smiles up at me. "Hi, Jiminie."
"Hi, Mandy," I said, my arms still crossed. "What're you doing?"
"Just talking to Song," she told me. "He's nice."
"Uh-huh."
"Are you jealous, Jiminie?" She asked, quirking her eyebrow at me.
"You let him touch you, Mandy," I said, frowning at her. "You barely even let us touch you."
"I let you touch me plenty, Jimin," she tells me, crossing her arms and mimicking my stance.
"You didn't when we first met," Yoongi said from beside me. "Why did you let him?"
"Ohh...I don't know," she said as she shrugged her shoulders. "He's cute. And nice. Is there a problem here?"
"Yeah, there is," I said. "Some random guy was touching my soulmate. Our soulmate. You're ours, Mandy."
"I'm not a piece of property, Park Jimin." She looked just as annoyed as I felt.
"No, you're not," Yoongi said in a gentle tone, trying to calm her down. "But you're still ours. Just like we're yours."
Mandy sighed and rolled her eyes, then looked around the room before looking back at me.
"It's not like you, either of you, have staked your claim on me or anything," she told us.
"We were trying to be respectful to you," I said, my shoulders dropping a little.
"We didn't want to push you too far," Yoongi added.
"Well...maybe I'm ready for a little bit more."
"What does that even mean," I asked her.
"What it means, Jimin," she started, looking right into my eyes. "Is that if you don't kiss me right now, I'm going to find Song again and see if he will."
"You want me to kiss you?" I asked her in surprise. "Mandy..."
I had no idea what to do. Like Yoongi and I said, we had both been trying to be respectful of her and her issues and not trying to push her. But now she wanted me to kiss her?
Yoongi sighed from beside me, then nudged me to try and push me out of the way with his shoulder. "Move."
"What?" I asked him.
"Move," he said again. "If you won't do it, then I will."
When I didn't move, he pushed me harder until I had no choice but to step to the side. When I did, I watched as he grabbed the back of Mandy's neck, pulling her to him and tilting his head down until his lips met with hers.
Mandy's hands went to his hips, then slid around his back as she visibly melted into Yoongi. I watched them closely enough that I could see when his tongue slid out over her bottom lip and she parted them to let him in. She moaned, and I knew exactly what she was feeling. Yoongi was famous for his 'tongue technology' and he had kissed me exactly like that more times than I could count.
To be honest, I was feeling a little jealous. Not because my soulmates were making out in the middle of a room full of people, and I was just standing here like an idiot. Actually, maybe 'jealous' was the wrong word. I was feeling like just that. An idiot. I had the chance to be the first one of us to kiss her, and I was just so shocked that she asked for it, that I just stood there like an...well...like an idiot.
It was my own fault.
Yoongi pulled back from her, then placed one more quick peck on her lips.
As soon as they stepped back from each other, I reached for Mandy and pulled her up against my body, bringing one of my hands up to cup the side of her neck, my thumb brushing over her jawline.
"I'm sorry that I didn't kiss you when you asked me too, angel," I told her. "I was in shock. You have no idea how much I've wanted to do this since the moment we met. Or how many times I've had to stop myself from kissing you."
"Well are you going to stop talking and do it now?" She asked me with a smirk.
I rolled my eyes at her as I leaned down to press my lips to hers.

A/N: I'm running out of things to say in my 'author's note' but I want to have a space at the end of each story where you can comment or give me ideas on what you think about the story. It recently passed 4K reads, and I am so thankful to everyone for that. This book has turned into a lot more than I originally intended, and I know you can tell that after the first several chapters that were just Mairette/Hobi/JK based, to what it is now. I'm proud of it, though, and as my bestie/soulmate @irishvixen says, she's never read a book like this before, with the whole dating show aspect. It's fun to write, though, and I really hope that everybody is enjoying reading it, as much as I am enjoying writing it.
