Chapter Five: Gummy Bears

Jungkook held my hand the entire time. It felt nice. His fingers were long and strong and completely engulfed mine. It was kind of hot, actually. Even though it was only about a 5 or 6 minute walk back to my classroom, he stopped us several times, just to kiss me. One of those times had me all hot and bothered, because he pressed me up against the wall and caged me in with his body. His thighs weren't the only thing on him that was strong, and I could feel that as he kissed me and I ran my hands down his chest and over his abs, pulling one of those groans that I loved out of him.

When we finally got back to my classroom, Hoseok wasn't there. I frowned and turned to look at Jungkook. "Where is he?"

Jungkook shrugged. "How should I know? I was with you."

"But..." I frowned, looking around. I don't know why. It's not like I expected him to be hiding under a desk or something. "Where could he have gone?"

"I don't know. He probably didn't get lost like me, though," he said with a laugh. "Hobi-Hyung has a great sense of direction."

I frowned at him. "Stop laughing, dude. I'm serious. Were we gone too long?" I looked down at my watch. If I had to guess, we had been gone for around 45 minutes, which was actually a lot longer than I thought. "Do you think that he left?"

"Of course I didn't leave," Hoseok said. He walked back into the room, fixing his belt. "I just had to go find a restroom. I wouldn't just leave you, Yeobo."

I walked over to him and flung my arms around his neck, hugging him, then I smacked his shoulder lightly. "I was just about to have a freak out. I already had one soulmate abandon me today. I didn't need another."

Hoseok rubbed his shoulder, even though I really hadn't hit him that hard.

"Hey!" Jungkook said. He sounded a little offended. "I didn't 'abandon' you." He used two fingers on each of his hands to make very sarcastic quote marks around the word I had used. "I thought that you wanted me to leave. I was trying to be a good guy."

I rolled my eyes at him. "You were wrong."

"Obviously," he told me with one of his adorable bunny smiles. "I've never been so happy to be proven wrong, either."

Hoseok raised his perfectly shaped eyebrows at us. "I take it that the two of you made up then?"

"We did," I told him with a smile.

"And then some," Jungkook added from where he had plopped his butt down on one of the student desks.

I picked up a pencil and threw it at him, but he was too quick and ducked out of the way. "Shut up, Jungkook."

He just sat there, looking smug and overly happy with himself, so I pulled out my phone and took a picture of him.

"What're you doing?" Hoseok asked me.

"Oh, umm...see that desk he's sitting on?" Hoseok nodded. "That's Madison's desk. The girl who won the essay contest. If I tell her and show her proof, that Jeon Jungkook had his ass firmly planted on her desk, she's going to surround it with a rope and a security guard, and never let anyone else touch it."

I thought that this would annoy Jungkook, but he stood up and went over to my desk, then started going through my drawers.

"What're you doing?" I asked, watching him. It always made me nervous when somebody went through my desk.

"Oh...I'm looking for a Sharpie, so that I can sign my name on her desk."

That made me laugh as I pointed a finger at him. "Go for it. But stay out of my gummy bears."

Jungkook stood up from behind my desk, his cheek puffed out a little as he chewed on something. "What gummy bears?" He asked around a mouthful of my favorite candy as he went over and signed his name on top of the desk.

"Jungkook!"

"Better get used that that, Mairette," Hoseok told me. "He's always stealing other people's food. I'm pretty sure that he has a bottomless stomach."

"That's interesting..." I said as I turned to look at Hoseok. "Because he just told me that you take care of him, and give him food off your own plate if you think that he's still hungry."

Hoseok blushed a little and shrugged. "Yeah...I do do that."

Jungkook busted out a loud laugh.

"What?" Hoseok asked him.

"You said do do," he said around the candy that he was still chewing on.

I covered my mouth with my hand and snorted out a laugh. Hoseok shot me a look and I shrugged. "Sorry. I can't help it. I think he's funny."

Jungkook smiled brightly with the head of a gummy bear sticking out of the side of his teeth. "Hear that, Hyung? Our soulmate thinks that I'm funny."

"I heard her. She's standing right next to me."

He sounded just a little bit jealous. I couldn't blame him, really. Jungkook and I had been gone for a while, and I guess that it probably seemed obvious that we had bonded a little. I turned to Hoseok and wrapped my arms around his waist, giving him a hug.

"I'm sure that you're funny, too, Hoseok. I just haven't gotten a chance to enjoy it yet, because somebody in this room had to go and be all dramatic."

"It's okay, Yeobo," he said, wrapping his arms around me and hugging me back. "I understand. You had to go after him. We wouldn't be complete without his annoying ass."

This made me laugh and Jungkook pout.

"Well that's rude," he said as he put the marker back on top of my desk.

"Dude. Put it back where you got it from. Sheesh." I rolled my eyes at him. "And stay the hell out of my gummy bears!" I held up a hand and pulled away from Hoseok. "You know what, on second thought..." I walked over to the desk and picked up the marker on the desk before Jungkook could and put it back where it goes.

"I could have done it, Aegiya," he told me.

"I don't trust you, baby," I replied with an overly sweet smile.

Jungkook put his palms on the top of my desk and leaned over it towards me. I thought he was going to kiss me, but he stopped a couple of inches from my face. "It was worth it. I love gummy bears."

I groaned and covered my face with my hands, then I looked at Hoseok who was looking at his phone. "Do you think that he came with a return receipt and we can ask for a replacement soulmate? Yoongi seems like he wouldn't steal my candy."

Jungkook gasped a little. "You wouldn't dare."

"Take my gummy bears again, or my Skittles, and see what happens."

Jungkook's eyes got wider than normal and he looked excited. "There's Skittles?"

I dropped my jaw at his audacity and reached out to tickle him on his side, right on his very top rib. He wiggled away from me and pointed at finger. "Hey! That's cheating!"

"Hey!" Hoseok called loudly. He was standing right next to the desk and looking annoyed. "Could you two not hear me? I said we have a problem. Jungkook, we have to go."

I frowned and Jungkook poked out his bottom lip. "What? Why? I like it here. I think I might want to live on this ship."

"Well if we don't get off of it in the next three minutes, then you might just get your wish," Hoseok explained. He turned his phone towards us to show us a text from Namjoon. "They're quarantining the ship. We have a show tomorrow. We have to get off. NOW."

A/N: This chapter is short and silly. Sorry. It's just the mood that I'm in. I'm getting cabin fever. Thanks to having Covid, I haven't left my house in a week. It's really starting to get to me.  Please send help.

Okay. I have to tell ya'll what just happened to me. Between that last paragraph of this note that I've written, and this current one, it hast been over two hours. Because I went to look for a gif to use, and kept finding ones that I was like 'what's that from?' Then I got sucked into THREE FULL EPISODES of Run BTS.

But you know what?

It was totally worth it.

Stay healthy, my friends.
