Avni's Pov -

I started walking back home with exhaustion. Purchasing things and shopping is really not a cup of my tea. When I reached home, I saw many people were gathering in front of my house. I was surprised and confused. With hesitation I took few steps more only to witness shock of my life.

My eyes widened as soon as I  saw  Raghu pandit the jamendar and landlord of this village. He is cruel and heartless, he kills people like a flee. I heard alot about him and saw him few times but I never believed how cruel he'd be. But When I was in my 9 th grade. I was passing by the road, and some men were beating a person mercilessly to death. I was hell shocked how he and his wife were enjoying that scene. That scene still shivers me, how can someone be like that. What will they get taking people's lives? But the thing is what he is doing in my house? what would be  the matter? 

I glanced surroundings, then I saw ma was crying and asish was standing like a innocent boy. Many questions roamed inside of my brain. I felt something is fishy and I have to know.

"Hello beta. I think you know who I am." Raghu pandit voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

I looked around and observed everyone is starring at me.

"Yes, I know you are raghupandit jamendar of ganore. I heard alot about you. Any reason why you are here ?" I asked confidently but deep inside I was scared to death.

"Hmm. Now don't say, you also don't know anything like your mom said" Raghu said nodding his head.

"what are you taking about??" I asked confused.

Raghu sighed before he went towards the Asish and said.

"Asish, you didn't said about this matter to your wife  and your children ? how sad! okay at least tell them now " Raghu said to Ashish.

What matter?

But asish remained silent.

" Okay, I think your dad is shy to tell you ,I'll speak up on behalf of him."  he smirked.

"Avni you're name avni right? " he asked.

I nodded.

" Okay, three months back your dad asish mehta borrowed 50,000 thousand rupees from me with interest of 5 rupees with your house as surety . But Few days back time period was over to return money but still I gave him time. but not any more. he has to return money with interest. Ie , 1 ,25,000. But your beloved dad is unable to give back .so as per the agreement we are here to take your house " he smirked.

Thats it after listening his words.
I became numb. I couldn't understand anything, I was shocked no.. Scared. He will take our house? Then where will we live. Hot tears are brimming down my eyes. Then reality stuck on my face. My dad did this behind our backs. My blood boiled with enormous anger.

I immediately walked towards asish.

"Ashish mehta , is raghu pandit saying truth ?" I asked with red eyes.

Ashish remaind silent looking down.

"Please answer me Ashish mehta .why Are u silent ? answer me"  I yelled shaking his shoulder's.

" Yes, it's true " he atlast said not meeting my eyes.

That's it , I slapped him hard. I felt more disgusted for having such a father.

Every one present over there gasped. I know why.

"Ashish mehta do you have any idea what you did? Why did you borrow that much amount of money. Why ?Answer me , Ashish mehta.  Answer me....Answer me " I shouted on top of my voice.

How could he do this? How will I get that amount of money.

" Please answer me , why are you silent now ? why did you took that much of money. Answer me fast before I lose my temper" I gritted my teeth.

" I lost my job. As I require some amount of money. So I borrowed" he whispered.

He lost his job and... I blinked my tears back before speaking.

" Ashish Mehta you borrowed that money just for the sake of alcohol . Do you have any idea what you have done ? If they take our house then where will we live ?. okay now I understand , why you don't want to tell us it's because if you tell about this matter to us then you will become weak in front of me and maa right? " I asked with venom in my word's. He lost job, yet he abused ma.

"Will you both please stop your drama . Are you both playing games in front of me. Quickly pay money or get out from this house right now. Or else you all will face wrost." he threatened.

I wiped my tears and I quickly walked to him.

I folded my hands In front of him before speaking

"Please give me some time . I really don't know about this matter . I will return all of your money back with interest . Please I beg you. this is the only house that left for us. " I pleaded with hopeful eyes .

He stood silent for a minute.

"hmm, Okay I feel pity by seeing your condition. I will give you one month time . Do what ever you want but return money in time. If you unable to return back then you all have to leave this house.This is my last warning "
By saying he left my house.

Immediately I get relaxed as I got 30 days more to pay. But how will I arrange that but much amount in just 30days .

All people who came to my house to see drama slowly started to go. Only our family was present. MA, priya were crying. And asish he stood like a rock without any emotions.

With out altering a word I went to back to my room and sat on the floor with a thud . I, avni who doesn't show her emotional side to everyone that girl Is crying her heart out . I was sobbing,  thinking how I can pay that much money. I have only few amount of money that I saved for Mumbai and for priya studies.

How will I?

I have to be strong right now. I wiped my tears.

I can't be weak, my family needs me , my mom and my sister needs me. Atleast for them I have to be strong. I have to do some thing .I have to arrange money. So that the this house can be safe. Tomorrow itself I will find some job in near by town.

After consoling my self. I went back to mom without looking into asish.

" Ma , don't cry " I wiped her tears.

"Why are you crying ? Its not your fault. you can't cry like this okay. You are my strongest mother right? " I tried to console.

She looked at me then cries again 

"Maa don't Need to cry. I'm here na your avni. I will manage everything. Don't cry " I said to her.

She nodded.

After few minutes I went to asish.

"  I think now you are happy Mr. Asish mehta. " I said without looking at him. " you ruined our family. Happy! " With that I went back my room..

Next morning I woke up early so that I can search for a job in town. I immediately went to wash room and got ready wearing kurthi.

At first I  went to ma room and took her blessings from her.

Later ,I walked to bus stop so that I can catch first bus to the town. I was waiting for the bus then suddenly a group of boys started to tease me. 

" hello sexyy....." A boy purred.

I bit my lips controlling my anger.

" God ,she is freaking hot ...wanna come out with us ?" Another boy said.

I clenched my fists.

"hey baby don't be shy... " 

" Shouldn't have said that "
Saying this, I  punched that boy straight on his nose. He quickly held his nose groaning with pain.

Other boy came onto  me his face was red with anger.  He grabbed me by waist and twisted my wrist back such that I was back facing him. I immediately kicked my leg to his private part hardly. That boy left me and winced  with pain.

I then  punched ,beat boys like no tomorrow . They only had mouth to talk, they didn't have any dare to fight with me as they ray away.

"  hey , why are you running away?  Now come tease me "  I shouted.

I was breathing hard by now. I calmed my self and drank water that I bought with me.

Suddenly I felt someone staring me from behind. It was intense and I could feel it. 

I turned around to see no one.

After sometime, I reached town . Immediately without wasting time I started to search , I had news paper with me which said need teachers. I went to school that advertised.

" good morning Sir " I greeted him as soon as I entered principal room.

" Good morning what can I do for you?." he asked.

" Sir I'm avni. I'm here to ask for a teacher job as I heard there are vacancies available here. " I said.

" Yes, miss avni . we have vacancy for primary classes. If you want you can join but salary would be less. But what's your qualification ?" sir asked.

" Intermediate . But I've scored best marks in my 12 th and I promise I won't disappoint you sir.I just need a job " I whispered.

" Okay so, you can join from tomorrow timings are from 8am- 2:40pm "

" Thank you so much Sir. You're my saviour" I said before I went from there.

After getting teaching  job  felt so relaxed &happy. Later I went to a hotel as I was tired and hungry, morning I barely had single dosa. I ordered fresh grape juice and roti with sabzi.

I have job but from 2: 30 what will I do? To arrange that much of money I have to search for another job so that I can earn some more. I thought.

I ate fastly before I went in search of other work as this town is nearer to my village I'm familiar with all roads and leans. While walking through streets I saw a board hoarding of sewing shop which contained. "workers needed ".

I quickly went inside the shop and asked the owner.

" Mam can I work here? "

"Do you know how to stitch clothes?" she questioned me.

"yes , mam I know. my mom used to teach me .I know how to stitch." I said confidently, well as I said before I'm all-rounder , being in studies or household work as from childhood my mom taught me everything.

" Okay you can come from
Tomorrow and salary we will talk later " she said.

"Mam but  I will come from 3 pm because I'm busy till 2: 30. Is it okay? " I asked with hesitation .

She remained silent for a while.

"Okay, but you have to complete the stitching of clothes that I give you each day " she said.

" ofcourse " I said happily.

I felt relaxed as now I got another job . I was walking on the streets to go back to bus stand then I bumped Into some one.

I immediately closed her eyes in fear of hitting the ground but it didn't happen. I slowly opened my eyes only to witness a muscular ,handsome was holding me. he was starring at me and his hand was around my waist pressing tight. I looked at him with wide eyes, as His orbs roamed are  between my eyes and lips.

I felt uncomfortable by his gaze and I immediately jerked him off.

"I'm sorry " I said quickly  and walked out.
