↬ background gifs

today we shall discuss:

(edit made by oxylovecolorings on weheartit)

background gifs

as you can see in the example above, the background of the edit is a gif of television static/noise.

although my skills aren't as advanced as this obviously superior editor, this tutorial can hopefully help you on how you can add gifs in the background using mobile apps.

for this edit, you will require the assistance of:
i. gif maker-editor (or any substitute that offers the same features)

let's begin ::

¹; make your edit

make your edit (minus the text your want to add). remember to leave gaps that are transparent for your gif/gifs.

I've left two bc I wanted to add two gifs (one background and one of hobi)

also rip myself for not finishing this on hobi's bday-

save it.

²; transparent background gif

save two (or more) copies of a transparent background with the same dimensions as your edit.

then, open your main gif in gif  maker-editor (or just your background gif) to see the number of frames it has:

as you can see, my main gif has a total of 59 frames.

using step one in the manip gif tutorial make your background gif with the same amount of frames as your gif.

save it, of course.

³; assembly

select edit gif and select your transparent gif. select decoration → + (image icon) and open your edit:

increase its size till it fills the gif:

and then select decoration → +(gif icon):

place your background gif where you left an empty spot. it's okay if it doesn't fit, just place it where it should come and make sure it fills that space completely.

then, open your main gif (if you have one) and place it in the second empty place. make sure that the two gifs don't overlap each other, i.e, one shouldn't be seen in an empty spot that isn't meant for it. like so:

(excuse the terribly lq gif)

now, save it and go.

⁴; final touches

save pngs of your main text and watermark. refer to the wild album edit tutorial to learn how to do that - it's very simple.

filter your gif using any of the two methods i have shown in this book (or your own if you want). I went with a very simple one that doesn't really need a tutorial - i used a filter called fairytale (which is very pretty), one of the filters on gif maker-editor. save it if you used the other two methods.

open your newly saved gif in edit gif and add your text and watermark using decoration. save it and cry with me bc it's too hq for wp's standards so you now have to compress it:

this 🤮 is 🤮 so 🤮 lq

yes I added a transparent gif of bubbles bc im extra like that

it looks like Usain Bolt's sibling bc I increased the speed to reduce its size :')
