"Ookay.. Well at least they won't be trying to eat us right?" George stuttered, only for the older orca merman to bump him to the side.

"You don't get it do you? Once you're there you'd wish that you end up as prey, you'll be trapped in a tiny pond and won't be fed unless you do those tricks perfectly. Our sleeping quarters aren't any better, the water is too shallow to even support a calf like you and what you're getting for a meal is barely enough, I had to suck on kelp!"

"That bad huh?.. Can you tell them about how bad it is here? Surely they're not that heartless right?"

"You talk as if people understand orca speech! I've lived in captivity for many years now, me screaming out only resulted in them cutting my fish supply and jabbing me with those needles. What they call a treatment is just torture!"

George was at a loss for words, things didn't improve when he was flung into a tank with the larger bull. "I suppose this is a pond, where do you learn words like that?"

"When you've lived with the land mammals, or humans as they call themselves you pick up a few things. They've been hunting orcas and especially orca folk thanks to our stature and their belief that they are somehow above all creatures from land or sea. You're totally doomed if you don't even know what the land humans call their inventions, I say you stick with me kid."

"Oh, thanks I think.. My name is George! George Harrison, hey what are those land dw-I mean humans doing down there?"

"You might call yourself George, but here you'll be known as Keoki. It's common for them to do this, stripping you of your identity, even those that look similar to them." The bull explained, keeping a close eye on the scared calf. "The name is Kai, the other bulls don't take too kindly to newcomers so best not to disturb them."

"Ooh.. I can't say I blame them if this is the way everyone's treated at this pond place. Sea dwellers like us don't belong so far from the water, don't they have ways to entertain themselves? Why do they need us?"

Oh I could ask the same thing George, thankfully circuses ditched the elephants, now we just gotta wait until society finally realizes whales should remain in the ocean. Huh? Oh crap that was supposed to be Kai saying that! "Well I mean it's no secret that you despise Seaworld, even when you were ten you could tell the orcas there were unhappy."

"It looks like we'll have to find some way to go up onto land, of course from what I heard about those beached Pilots we wouldn't last a second out on there. Do you think we might be able to swim on under to save them?" Paul suggested, he didn't want to waste a millisecond with George out of his sight. "We could follow that metal fish trail and bust him out of wherever he is!"

"That won't work, we need a better plan. Like how the author needs to start updating her stories at a REASONABLE HOUR!! Seriously go to sleep!"
