A Presence Communication Part 1
In Yugi and Joey's apartment, a triangular pendant laid on the table, with one piece missing. It was hard to say if the pendant was there on purpose or just by coincidence, because the two boys weren't in the apartment at all. One could say that it was by accident because a spirit, the same one that Yugi conversed with during the blackout, came out of the pendant, glancing around the area.
"No one's here," the spirit concluded to itself. It sighed softly as it decided to sit on the couch. With nothing to do, the spirit was getting bored and laid slumped down on the couch, sighing heavily. "I should wait until Yugi and Joey come back..." Suddenly, it felt another presence in another part of the apartment complex. From what it just felt, it was close by on that very floor. The spirit felt it again, and this time it could make out what the presence was at that moment. It was a Duel Monster's presence. The spirit furrowed his eyebrows. How could it feel a Duel Monster's presence in the complex of all places? Shouldn't it only be during duels?
The spirit decided to investigate where this presence was coming from, since it was so close, and floated towards the door. It easily went through the door because of its ghost-like figure and headed towards the presence that it felt a little while ago. It only had to go a few doors down before it felt where the presence was strongest. The spirit took a deep breath before stepping into the apartment.
******************************
Lizzy bit her lip softly as she pressed a few buttons on her GameCube controller. "Come on, come on!" she exclaimed aloud. "I need to beat the skeleton!"
"You need to beat him because?" Northwemko asked, puzzled as to what Lizzy was doing. Northwemko was sitting on the couch with Lizzy and Cerberus, the latter fallen asleep.
"I got to beat all the trials so that I can get some good items from the Fairy Fountain," Lizzy explained, still focusing on the game fight. "I want to 100% this game again!"
"What does 100% the game mean, again? I forgot from the last time you explained it to me."
"It means that I complete all the challenges, get all the items, do all the quests, and beat the game!"
"That sounds difficult, my lady."
"Oh, it is! But it's well worth it when everything is complete." Suddenly, Lizzy's eyes turned a bright yellow for a split second, causing her to pause the game and stand up.
"What is wrong, my lady?" Northwemko asked, standing up too. Cerberus stirred slightly but didn't wake up from its nap.
"I felt something just now," Lizzy whispered. "I felt it coming this way, but it didn't feel like it was evil though."
"Still, we must be prepared for whatever comes our way," Northwemko mentioned, going to the door. She stood about a few feet away, summoning her staff. "Have no fear. I will protect you with my life, my lady Lizzy."
"Northy, I don't think that'll be necessary," Lizzy said with a sweatdrop. "I'll just talk with whoever this person is and we'll be just fine." Just then, a spirit came through the door and looked at the two in shock. Lizzy saw the spirit and said softly, "Or ghost....whichever works with me."
