CHAPTER 17

After fighting for almost a month, Jambavan realised that the invincible man was none other than Shri Ram of Treta Yug, his aradhyadev.

Jambavan bowed to Shri Krishna, touched his feet and apologised. He offered his daughter Jambavati along with the Syamantak mani.

Krishna happily accepted both and after marrying Jambavati he returned to Dwarika. Many had assumed him to be dead, but not his patrani Rukmini.

When he returned he found her entire forehead was smeared with red sindoor as she welcomed both him and Jambavati.

He then went to the court of Raja Satrajit and returned him the Syamantak mani. The king was guilty and embarrassed that he falsely accused Shri Krishna.

"O Dwarikadheesh, I have committed a great crime by falsely accusing a dharmatma like you." Satrajit joined his hands in front of him.

"Don't worry about it Raja Satrajit. Had you not done this then how would I have obtained Jambavati ? Now you take this mani and keep it safe." Krishna said.

"No Dwarikadheesh. This mani doesn't belong to us, it belongs to you now. You have retrieved it." Satrajit said.

"The mani due which I was accused of theft, if I keep it then who knows Dwarikavasi will think ? Therefore I happily give this mani to you." Krishna said giving the Syamantak mani to Satrajit.

"Dwarikadheesh, the guilt of accusing you still prevails in my heart. And therefore to ease it, I offer my daughter Satyabhama to you." Satrajit said.

Krishna then looked at the noble lady, who was standing beside the pillar along with few maids the entire time. She was beautiful beyond comparison, and calm like the earth.

Satrajit went towards Satyabhama and brought in front of Krishna. Smilingly she gazed up from his feet and to his face. Satyabhama joined her hands and blushed. Like Bhoodevi blushes seeing Varahdev.

Krishna smiled as Satrajit took Satyabhama's hand and gave to his hand.

"Accept my daughter, Dwarikadheesh." Satrajit said.

"I whole heartedly accept your daughter Satyabhama, Raja Satrajit." Krishna said.

"Spectacular. Satyabhama now you are my Anuj vadhu." Balram smiled.

Satyabhama went towards him and touched his feet.

"Saubhagyavati bhava." Balram blessed.

On the other side in the forests of Kamayaka, Arjun was sitting on rock outside the settlement of Rakshasas. He was re-reading letters from his small flat sandook.

He sighed as the gentle breeze flew through his curly locks. Oh how he wished she was beside him at the moment ! Oh how he wished he could steal one more glance of hers !

But it's not possible at the moment. Arjun looked up at the moon, and wondered when would his moon, his Rukmika would come to him.

"Arjun ! Arjun !" Bheem came towards him running. There was a big smile plastered on his face.

"What happened Bhrata Bheem ?" Arjun asked putting the letters back in the sandook.

"Hidimba is pregnant !" Bheem exclaimed joyfully.

"Oh Mahadev ! Congratulations Bhrata !" Arjun said and both the brothers shared a hug.

*Plays the same song on Gandiv again*

Khat se ji bharta hi nahi
Ab nain mile to chen mile
Chand hamare agna utre
Koi to aisi rain mile

I swear this song 'Phool tumhe bheja hai khat mei' fits so well with the first half of the plot !

Chalo bolo DEVI SATYABHAMA KI JAI !
