Chapter 21: The Arrogant Prince
Lucky's POV
I slowly opened my eyes and frowned when I realized I was in a simple but elegant room with caramel-colored walls and a warm atmosphere.
When I looked to my side, I saw Zaphael sleeping, sitting with his head resting on his arms on the side of the bed where I was lying.
“Zaphael,” I called him but he didn't answer, so I slowly got up and left the bed.
“Am I already in the palace?” I whispered to myself. I walked until I could get out of that room.
I was in the middle of the corridor when my knees suddenly gave way and I was about to fall when a strong body caught me. I was surprised to see that it was the prince.
“Don't go for a walk, especially if you are ill.” I was perplexed because there was no emotion on his face. Does he seem different? Why would he treat me this way? But there was an emotion on his face when we were on the ship, but it is now blank.
“I'm fine,” I also had no emotional response to what he said.
“Are you sure?” I nodded at inalis ang pagkaka-alalay niya sa akin, I stood up straight even though my knees still weak.
“I'm just hungry.” After I said that, I tried to walk properly but it was very difficult.
“That's not the way to the dinning area.” I stopped walking when he said that at mabilis akong humarap sa kan’ya.
“If so, where?” Parang wala ko lamang na turan, as if I wasn't talking to a prince in front of me and because of my dealings with him, amazement appeared on his face.
I don’t care if he's a prince, yes, he is, but not to me. Only in this world, and just because I'm not from here, doesn't mean I have to pay homage to him or anyone of high status in this world.
“Didn't your parents teach you to respect your superiors?”
“I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I didn't grow up with parents, so no one taught me, and I know how to respect the elderly and those who deserve it.” When I said that, I turned away from him and walked away, leaving him gaping and stunned by what I said.
I'm not sure which part of the palace I'm in anymore because this place is so vast that I can't even remember how to get back to where I was before.
He's only a prince and not a god to be worshiped!
“Lady, what are you doing there?” When I saw a palace servant, my smile broadened.
“I'm getting lost, where is the dining area?” She was about to bow but I stopped her.
“Don't do that, I'm just an ordinary person.” She scratched her head and tried to smile at me.
“But you are a guest in this palace, Lady.” I shook my head and then smiled at her.
“Show me the way to the dining room, I've been looking for it but got lost in this palace.” I'll change the topic.
“Sasamahan na lamang kita patungo doon, Lady.” I nodded, and we began walking. It was a long walk before we arrived at the dining room, and I was surprised to see Jorvina, Linglie, and Zaphael, as well as the prince and the King, Queen of this Kingdom.
“Lucky, saan ka galing?” Zaphael asked, frowning, and instead of responding, I rolled my eyes at him and sat down next to Jorvina.
“We've discussed it before, but you don't specify what the issue is that needs to be resolved.” Jorvina said abruptly, so I looked at the King as he laughed and shook his head.
“Perhaps you've heard about the wars that will erupt on every tribe.” Jorvina nodded and placed her palm on her chin.
“Not only that, but I heard about the sudden appearance of monsters.” Jorvina said.
“You know what you have to do.” Linglie's eyes narrowed at what the King said, I, on the other hand, scooped up some food because I was already hungry and I didn't care if they still talking.
“Why are there so many protesters against your rule, King Louis?” Linglie asked seriously, so the King's attention turned to her and even the Queen, who had been silent before but now looked at Linglie.
“You don't seem to know the creatures here in Legendarria World. They are greedy and they will do anything to outdo others.” My eyebrows met as I chewed the food.
Why am I not convinced by what he said?
“Alam ko kung paano kumilatis ng mga nilalang.” 'Yon lang ang nasabi ni Linglie.
“What are you trying to say? Are you making us look like we are the greedy and not the people who are striking against us?” Napangiwi ako sa tanong ng Reyna, her voice was very tense.
“You said that, not me.” Linglie grinned and the Queen was annoyed with the expression posted on Linglie's face, and because of that she suddenly stood up in a violently and then fire came out of her hands. Linglie also stood up and suddenly, her eyes darkened, which surprised me.
Jorvina laughed, so the attention of the two women turned to her.
“Masyado kayong mainit.” After she laughed, her face suddenly became serious as she looked at Linglie, so Linglie sat down again.
“That's enough,” The King sighed and then I was surprised when his eyes turned to me.
“Thank you so much for rescuing my son, young lady.” I sighed, remembering the madness I had done.
Why did I think to save that arrogant Prince?
“It's nothing, King Louis.” I smiled sparingly at him.
“How are you?” I thumbed up to him signaling that I was okay but my shoulder just sagged when he was surprised at what I did.
“I mean, I'm fine.” He nodded.
“I haven't introduced them to you yet, your highness.” Jorvina said suddenly, so Zaphael looked at us at the same time. “This young man is Zaphael, he possesses the power of the four elements.”
“What? Is that true?” The Queen asked incredulously, Jorvina nodded at it.
“So that's the answer to the question of why he looks like Noah.” The King nodded after he said that.
“Noah?” Zaphael asked curiously.
“He is your descendant.” Zaphael's lips parted at what Linglie said.
“This girl is Lucky and we don't know what power she has at the moment.”
“How did that happen? All creatures here in the Legendarria World are inherently with power.” Nagtatakang tanong ng Hari.
“Because they came from the world of—” Jorvina couldn't continue to say what she should have said when Linglie held her arm, Jorvina seemed to realize that she shouldn't say that.
I understand because it's dangerous for both of us and because when someone finds out that we are from the mortal world they can find the way out of this world.
“What she means is, Lucky’s power still needs to be develop before it comes out.” The King and the Prince nodded but the Queen didn't seem convinced by what Linglie said.
“But even so, the Celestial Sword chose her to own it.”
“Then you are a Celestial user.” Jorvina and Linglie looked at each other because of that, while I thought about it.
Could it be that I am already a Celestial user?
It seems so because I wouldn't be the Master of that sword, otherwise.
To be continued...
