third person p.o.v

bella ran to ben's room, tears were spilling out. why was she crying? she didn't really understand why, she knew it wasn't her fault but at the same time it felt like it was her fault. she did nothing wrong, yet the tears wouldn't stop from coming out. she knocked on ben's door hoping her brother was still up. she tried calling evie, but she didn't answer. bella knew why evie wasn't answering, it was friday and she had the place to herself. that meant she would be in the bathtub enjoying a nice warm bubble bath, a nice self care night for evie.

ben opened the door and bella didn't wait for him to invite her in. she barged in, completely ignoring the half naked carlos on the bed. she didn't know what to say exactly, especially with carlos in the room. she sat down on the bed and tried to contain her sobs. who knows what would've happened if adrian was able to completely overpower her. was he capable of taking advantage of her?

"hey it's okay, i'm here. what's wrong?" ben sat down next to his sister and tried to comfort her. he tried hugging her but bella only pushed him away. carlos took a seat on bella's other side and tried to comfort her too but it didn't help much.

"he fucking touched my ass, and then he pushed me on to the bed and forced himself on me! i-i, i tried to push him off but..." bella ran her thumb across her wrist, she tried not to cry anymore but she couldn't help herself. ben and carlos looked at one another confused, who was bella referring too?

"adrian, h-he kissed me, a-and he had his h-hand down my..." the more bella thought about, the more she blamed herself. she shouldn't blame herself because that dirtbag was lying, she wasn't asking for anything. she was just being nice, what screamed 'i want you' from just being nice to someone?

"he what?!" ben stood up in anger, beast mode activated. no one was angrier than carlos though. he jumped off the bed, forgetting he was just wearing boxers and they had company, and started mentally slapping himself.

"i'm going to murder him!"  "no!" ben and carlos looked at bella confused, unless she wanted to do it herself which if she did they wouldn't stop her. bella managed to calm herself down, she wanted to punch him in the face repeatedly but murder wasn't an option. yet.

"no ones going to hurt anyone, look i-i want to hurt him just as much as you guys but think about it. what if this whole time he was just playing with us? i mean, and no offense carlos, when the vk's first arrived they had a plan to take the wand right? what if he has a plan too?" carlos thought about it, he knew bella had a point. everything felt off since he met adrian.

"we need to find out if he's actually related to me then. if he's not then we can stop him before he tries to hurt you or anyone else." carlos was confused as to why bella was avoiding looking at him. did the possibility of them being related make her uncomfortable?

"his clothes are still in my room, we can probably get something from them and have them tested with some of your dna." "well let's not waste anymore time and get to the bottom of this." the three of them headed to the door but stopped as bella came to an abrupt stop.

"you are not going into my room practically naked, put some clothes on please." carlos looked at ben and laughed as ben was wearing his pajama shorts that had little crowns and a basic black tank top. so classy. "uh babe, she's talking about you." carlos looked down and realized why bella wouldn't look at him. he was wearing nothing but boxers. woah.

"right, my bad..." carlos rushed to put some clothes on, which meant he just picked up the first things he would find. ben's t shirt and his jeans. ben's shirt was a bit big on him, due to the height difference, but it looked good on him. bella turned and gave them another look. what now?

"you're going to run around the castle without shoes or socks? okay you do you boo, i'm just warning you the floor is freezing cold." both boys just shrugged it off, because they could handle a cold floor. they're manly men. but boy where they wrong. ben's room was carpeted which meant it was always nice and not cold, not necessarily warm but still. the castle floor was cold, super fucking cold. are you sure elsa didn't come for a late night visit?

"just run it, i'll lend you two some fuzzy socks." bella closed ben's door and looked around to make sure no one was creeping around the halls. with the coast clear they rushed to bella's room, they ran as they didn't want to walk it, those darn long halls. once inside her room, bella pushed the boys inside the bathroom and told them what to do.

"aren't you going to help?" ben asked as bella went to her closet. "yeah, let me just change and burn these clothes. they've been tainted after all." ben nodded understanding what she meant and went back into the bathroom. bloody tissues where in the waste basket, though they wouldn't help much as the blood might not completely belong to adrian as he was in a fight before coming over.

carlos looked through the dirty clothes adrian left in the bathroom, hoping to find some loose strand of hair or even an eyelash. he found nothing, curse men with short hair. well what else could they use? unless they snuck into his room and got some of his hair? no that's crazy, plus he's from the isle so you know he's a light sleeper. you always have to be on guard even when you're sleeping.

"find anything?" bella asked as she came back, she had changed into pajamas that matched ben's, well they had little crowns on them too. "are you two obsessed with crown patterns or ?" carlos asked as he threw down the shirt he had in his hand. ben turned to his sister and laughed at how they were in fact kind of matching.

"no, but our parents are. they were a gift from them, because all twins have to dress alike. plus, these are comfortable so. anyways, is there anything we can use?" ben shook his head and sighed, it was a dead end. bella looked around and spotted what seemed to be a nail. so not a dead end after all.

"look we can use this. this is definitely my nail, mine are painted." ben cringed at the toenail on the ground before picking it up with a tissue. "okay, now where do we take this?" ben asked as he held it away from him. gross. bella thought about it before checking the time on her phone. "the hospital duh."

so now they were in the car on their way to auradon hospital, they had to be careful when sneaking out. ben didn't know there were multiple ways to leave the castle without being caught. how did his sister know those other exits? he rather not ask. some things are better left unanswered anyways.

"so i think they might need to get some of your blood, how much? i don't know, but are you willing to give as much as needed?" bella asked carlos as she stepped slightly on the gas pedal, she didn't want to get pulled over but she didn't want to waste time either. carlos gulped at the thought of a needling going into his vain.

"yeah, whatever it takes to prove he's not my brother." carlos thought about it for a second, if he's not his brother was he maybe working with cruella to get revenge on him? last time carlos saw his mother things didn't go down so smoothly. if he was telling the truth then why try to hurt his friend? or anyone of them really? as much as carlos didn't want to not trust isle kids, he's not a kid. he's an adult after all.

after a bit of driving they arrived at the hospital and rushed in. they didn't know who to go to exactly but the waiting room wasn't full so they'd be seen quickly. bella rushed to the front desk and talked to the nurse for them.

"hello your majesty, what can i assist you with tonight?" bella made sure there were no other nurses, or people in general, around to hear her. "i need to do a dna test, and i need it done as soon as possible. how long will the results take?" the nurse didn't expect to receive this answer from bella at all. it was very odd thing to need.

"well we can have it in two to three days, and who's dna are we testing?" bella turned and called for ben and carlos. "his, and well the other person couldn't be here so all we could get was a.... toenail." bella felt grossed out holding the nail, even if it was wrapped in a tissue. carlos gulped as he thought about a bid needle going through his skin.

"okay then, follow me then." the nurse walked around and led the three to a room on a different floor. the air was awkward, they couldn't really discuss the situation in front of the nurse. what if she was a gossiper and went and told the other nurses? maybe they were overthinking this.

"okay so you can put the nail there... and you, what's your name?" ben was offended that the nurse didn't know carlos' name, did she live under a rock? they're auradon's it couple, though that's up to debate as evie and bella are also a favorite. "carlos."

"okay carlos, please open your mouth." carlos was both confused and scared, they're not going to put a needle in his mouth right? the nurse grabbed a cotton swab and stuck in carlos' mouth. she just needed some saliva, no blood at all. "thank you, i think this is enough. we'll send the results through the mail. want a lollipop?" the nurse held up a jar with many lollipops for carlos to choose from. 'aw man i want one.' ben and bella thought in union.

"thank you!" "no problem, now you three should get going. it's getting late for you kids." the three thanked her for her help and left the room. as soon as the door closed carlos punched bella on her shoulder. "ouch what the fuck?" bella rubbed her shoulder, she bruised like a peach even though sis was always ready for a fight.

"you got me all scared and anxious saying they were going to need my blood! you don't do that to people." bella turned to her brother and punched him on his shoulder. "what was that for?" ben asked confused as to why he was being hit. "you told me they needed his blood!"

the three rushed out of the hospital, they wanted to avoid stares from the nurses as they were all in their pajamas. they got into the car and bella speed off as she didn't want their parents to find out they were missing. they didn't have a curfew, of course not! haha not at all!

the only law they broke that night was the speed limit, but thankfully they weren't caught. now how to get back into the castle? oh of course bella knew a secret passage. okay ben had to ask now, what gives?

"how do you know all these secret passages? do you have like a blueprint of the castle?" ben asked as he saw bella move a shrub that hid the outline of a door. it was a stone wall still, but the print of a door was there. whack. how did bella know about this? who else knows? why doesn't he know? this is his home after all!

"if you must ask, while you spent your days getting ready to be king i spent my days exploring the castle. you are a slow learner little brother, i learned the lessons quicker than you and y'all didn't even consider me to be auradon's queen." bella used her phones flashlight to guide the way, making sure to avoid any spider webs and especially any spiders. yuck.

"hey! i asked a simple question, i didn't ask for you to insult me. and of course you learned them quicker, no you didn't have to go through the scolding and whatnot." bella turned to look at ben and crossed her arms. "are you kidding me? i wasn't allowed in the library for almost a year because i took the blame for your little accident. did you have to go through princess etiquette classes with fairy godmother and mom? those classes, though they made me the elegant lady i am today, were a literal hell. you had it easy dude."

"guys can we please save this for another time? i'm pretty sure i saw a giant spider run across the ceiling." this was enough to make the twins drop the subject and rush to get out of the secret passage. spiders are icky. after a lot of running and almost slipping, they made it back to bella's room safely. well before they actually stepped into her room bella made them check to make sure no one had any spiders on them.

the three stepped into the room and bella the threw herself on to her bed. she just wanted to go to sleep and never wake up. why couldn't she be sleeping beauty? she felt fine until she felt a body next to her. and then another. 'okay what's going on?' she thought as she lifted her head. ben and carlos had joined her on the bed.

"don't you two have somewhere else to be?" she asked as the two didn't seem to be going anywhere. instead they got comfortable and made it hard for her to move. "we're not leaving you alone tonight. we're not leaving you ever." ben pulled the cover over them to really get his point across. "pardon me?"

"yeah, we're not leaving your sight until that creep is gone. we'll protect you." carlos patted bella's head and gave her a reassuring smile. as if. "woah it's almost like i have my very own well trained knights!" bella respondes sarcastically but she knew they weren't going anywhere so she'd have to put up with it. so they all fell asleep on bella's bed, it was weird for bella to have her brother and future brother in law but she felt safe. that's all that mattered, that they were all safe. for now.

the next morning evie was on her way to see her girl. she said her good mornings to the knights outside the castle doors, and to the castle staff as she made her way upstairs. she tried calling bella but she never answered. she wanted to know why she called yesterday, and to see the guy that claimed to be carlos' brother.

as evie approached bella's door, she began to hear snoring. this was odd as bella didn't snore, so either bella was with someone or she's just really good at controlling it around evie. she didn't bother knocking and just went straight in. well, she didn't really expect to walk in on her friends sleeping with bella.

she walked closer to the bed to inspect the scene in front of her. bella seemed to be squished in between them, her hands where on her side and her face showed no type of expression. she seemed like a dead person in their coffin. carlos on the other hand had his mouth open, drool everywhere. one hand was on his face and the on bella's boob. evie did not approve of this. on bella's other side, ben was hogging the cover, one had was hanging off the bed and the other was on bella's face.

evie wondered if she should wake them up or not. if she did, how? jump on top of them? no that's not classy. scream into one of their ears? no. hmm what could she do? dump water on them? that's too harsh. a smack to the face? evie walked over to carlos' side and pinched his nose making the snoring stop. after a few seconds she let go and carlos sat up straight.

"my nose!" he yelled. "my boob!" bella shot up straight pushing carlos off of the bed. he had pressed down on her chest causing her to wake up. their yelling caused ben to wake up. well evie's job is done. now to why they're all sleeping on bella's bed. evie stepped over carlos and took his spot on bella's bed.

"good morning sunshine." bella looked at evie and kissed her cheek. "good morning sweetheart." ben and carlos cleated their throats as they didn't get any good mornings. bella didn't pay attention to them though as she remembered why they were in her room in the first place. "care to explain why they're here?" evie explained as ben rolled out of the bed to leave the two love birds alone.

"because i was having nightmares last night and you didn't answer the phone." bella answered quickly before ben or carlos could answer for her. "oh my baby, do you know why?" evie asked caressing bella's face. ben and carlos shared confused looks at bella's answer. "eves, can you pick my outfit for me today? i don't have the energy to chose anything, and since you're an expert i can trust you." evie let out a dreamy princess sigh. "you know how to talk to a girl, i will make you the fairest of them all." evie kissed her cheek and headed to bella's closest.

"okay listen here you two, no ones telling evie about last night. you know what i'm talking about, everything else is on the table. what he did isn't, i'll tell her once he's gone. again, act like everything is normal. we'll see what we can get out of him, just don't give yourself away. understood?"
