day 2 of camp counseling
So yeah. It was kinda tough. Lots of kids were moping about confidence and how they can't do this or that...
And every time I had to teach a camper something, I was forgetting all of these important details and crap (think I forgot to add stuttering speech to my ADHD lecture (based on most experiences)). And I felt pretty glum for about an hour.
But at the end of camp, me and some of the junior counselors stayed over by the snack area and chatted because the day was coming to an end.
Then there was a PVC pipe piece on the ground with a hole below it, its ends buried to keep it supported.
And one of the JCs with us went all over it.
He tried balancing on it. He fell on his back. He tried again. He stumbled back again. By the time he got back on, I just said out loud, "I can just see him faceplanting right now!"
And down on his face we went!
But that kid was made of steel! He didn't stop yet!
I swear, we were laughing so hard! My throat and face were so sore from that! And LightningandCrew, who was also there, was rambling on about how I "predicted his future". And two camp kids were nearby, playing in the sand as if we weren't even there.
I'd say, JCs are much friendlier and and more fun to talk to than the older counselors! (Sorry Ally...)
(Oh, and the thing that says "bench," that's supposed to be a snack table. My bad!)
(Currently listening to a Monstercat Piano Mix (YOUTUBE PASTE URL THING WHAT ARE YOU DOING))
(and all of this was typed through a nosebleed. Bye!)
