(My first one-shot on this book. Hopefully this ones good! This was requested by @HerimoneKNanase, and this will have two parts, since I don't have enough time to put the rest in this chapter. From the anime Free!)

"Hey! What are you doing this Saturday?"

"Let's hang out tonight!"

"We've gotta study."

Today is first day for the first semester of last your third year. And so, you would hear people's voices, but not talking to you. They avoided you as much as possible. Friends, boyfriend and girlfriend things, studying is what they were taking about, but you didn't have that privilege. You haven't had friends since your friend moved to a different school leaving you at Iwatobi High. So people didn't talk to you, and that made you feel unwanted which results to you feeling a little depressed. There are only three things that could cure your tiny depression: family, but they can't go to school; friends, but you don't have any and you can't talk to people by yourself or they have to talk to you first; and swimming, but there was no club, since they haven't had one in a long time. So technically the only thing that was important to you was grades for college.

"Quiet down everyone, the assembly is going to start," said the principal.

Everybody went quiet very quickly as the principal talked about all the boring stuff. All you wanted to hear was clubs that piqued your interest just a bit.

Finally, what felt like a 500 years, he finally tells the clubs to come out in order. There were tons, art, track, music, photography, filming, and others. Then a girl with magenta hair comes to view.

(This part is from almost exactly, besides you in it and some other parts, from season two episode one) "Next is the swim club." For some reason, of course you didn't pay attention to that until you heard the girl speaking.

"Our club started last spring when we prepared the pool and started up the club ourselves. I am the swims club manager, Matsuoka Rin. And this is... Our treasurer!"

A boy that has blonde hair with pink eyes, that is short and looks cute does a standing roll and rips this jacket saying, "Second year, Hazuki Nagisa! I swim breaststroke and my charm is my calf muscles!"

You're in awe because you never knew there was a swim club at Iwatobi. So you got excited, but laughed a little while others gasped because he's shirtless, even if that's the point of swimming.

"Our secretary!"

A guy that has blue-ish purple-ish hair with purple eyes that is normal height and looks smart does a standing spin and rips his jacket off also. "Second year, Ryugazaki Rei! I swim butterfly stroke! My charm point is my deltoids and biceps!"

"Our Vice President!"

A guy that has black hair with beautiful blue eyes that is normal height also, and does a cartwheel, taking off his jacket like a shirt, but with a rock face. "Third year, Nanase Haruka. I swim freestyle. My charm point is... my triceps."

He goes to where the other members are, but you could tell he loved swimming. For some reason, he looked really determined to gain members behind that stoic face.

"And finally our Captain!"

This seems like the last guy, so you saw that he had brown olive-ish hair with green eyes that is extremely tall and just runs on the stage not facing us but still taking off his jacket, sliding it off.

"Third year, Tachibana Makoto. I swim backstroke. My charm is my... back muscles!"

"We look forward for new members, especially with muscles!"

Then they all went off the stage. You were so excited, you wanted to go now. But the problem was, one, you couldn't leave, two, you don't know where it is. So you had to watch the rest of the clubs as you anxiously move in your seat.

Finally what felt like another 500 years, it ended as the principle ended the assembly with a few more words. You were finally released.

You went to the faculty office fast as you asked for directions, since you were already 15 minutes late because of other people and you trying to get to the office.

A nice young woman teacher told you the directions as you went up to a roof.

"Why hasn't anyone showed up?" Haru asks everyone on the roof.

"Ugh, I told you we shouldn't have done that charm thing, Gou!" says Rei.

"Whatever, you probably enjoyed it!" yells Gou back.

"G-guys, calm down. We can think of another way," says Makoto.

"But I want new members," complains Nagisa.

"I guess no one's com-"

Haru was interrupted by someone opening the door really loudly.

*Now you are in the roof*

"H-hey? Can I j-join the club?" you ask out of breath.

Haru looked at you surprised. Then you looked at him. Both of your eyes meet, and you can tell that he is little happy cause you see that little shine you saw at the assembly.

"Oh my gosh! It's a girl," says Gou.

"Hi, I'm Kou, and you would like to join the swim club?!"

"Y-yes, I would."

She gave me a big smile and dragged me to a room on the roof. I had to sign papers then we talked just a little.

Soon we came out and I met the boys who were on the stage. They all introduced themselves and told me what I should call them. They told you about the important stuff too. But from time to time, you would always take a glance at Haru. He looked so handsome and mysterious.

When they all told you the important things you approached Haru.

"H-hey Haru. I was wondering which swim I should do?" You tried your best to stay cool.

"Um, uh... wh-what are you best at?"

"I'm not sure? Hehe."

"Then I don't know," Haru says flatly.

Way to go, (Y/N).

"Let's get cleaning!" Gou yells.

All of us groan as we clean until we go home.

All this preparing lasted almost two weeks. But you were progressing your relationships with all the members, and to be blunt, you were closest with Haru. Surprisingly, since he's a stone. But, the pool was finally done and tomorrow was practice.

*Morning*

Hm, I wonder how Haru is doing? Or what he swims like. I mean, look at his body, it's SO built. I can't wait to see that, since he LOVES to swim. I think in his past life, water was his lover. Wait... why am I thinking of him? Do I want be near him, or be more. I don't understand these feelings... I'll talk to Gou about this.

"Miss (L/N)! Are you even paying attention!" The teacher yells at you. Then she attempts to throw her chalk at you but you dodge and answer the question right. You almost got detention, but luckily you didn't.

Learning, leaning, leaning. All you want to do is go to the club and swim. But that time has finally come as you run to the club.

You thought you were the earliest, but you actually already see Haru there.

"Hey, Haru!"

"Hey," he says. You were surprised, since he also rarely talks.

"Ready to swi-" you were cut off when Haru already jumped in the pool. You giggle and join him. Once you both popped your heads out of the water, you asked, "Haru, could you watch me swim all the swims and tell me which one I'm good at?"

"I... I guess. But only until the others get here."

"Ok, I'll do butterfly first, breaststroke, backstroke, and then free style. Your favorite," you say as you nudge his arm with your last words.

You do all of them the with good quality. But (favorite swim) was the one you wanted to do, so you just chose that since you do them all with good quality.

"What was your favorite?" you ask Haru.

"Free style was the best," he says as his eyes sparkle.

"Of course it was, Haru," you say then laughs maybe trying to get a smile or laugh out of him. But nothing.

"Fine, besides free style... what was your favorite, or second favorite?"

He doesn't hesitate and answers, "The backstroke."

You were surprised, you would have thought he would just say free style again, but he said backstroke.

"Why's that?"

"Um... uh..." he turns away from your direction, and continued, "It lo-looked the s-second best for you, th-that's all." He was stuttering and asked again.

"But why did it look second best for me?" You were too curious to pass it up.

"W-w-well. Because, i-it just d-does..." You give him a really face, then he continues, "i-its really embarrassing, but it's, j-just... um." You could see him glancing at the door like he was waiting for a members to show up to save him.

"Come, it's not that embarrassing, right?"

"B-but it i-i-is. Fine, it's b-" he was cut off by Nagisa barging in.

"Come on! This is just like anime's!" You turn towards Haru and say, "Tell me later, k!" You give him a smile and he showed you an emotion you've never seen. You saw a flustered emotion. Now you were WAY more curious.
