~Chapter Seven : Adventure in the Airship~

It was then, the second phase was finally over. Now, here you are, along with Gon, Killua, Kurapika and Leorio on the hunter association's chairman Netero's airship. You and all the other applicants who passed the second phase was gathered around one place of the airship.

"Allow me to introduce myself properly this time. I am this year's hunter association chairman, Netero." Netero said.

"And I'm his secretary, Beans." The bean-head guy said.

"Originally, I'm supposed to appear later on the exam but since some issue happened I appeared a little too early than usual." Netero explained. "And since I'm already here, I might as well tag along." He said.

"The airship will arrive at the third phase site at exactly 8 in the morning. So until then, you're free to rest and do anything around the airship until the time." Beans said. "There's food inside the dinner area and you can eat there whenever you want." Beans said.

While explaining all those things, you barely understand what they're explaining because you were nodding off. Once you assume it's over, you yawned and about to go somewhere you can sleep. But then...

"Okay! Gon, (Y/N), let's explore the airship!" Killua suggested.

"Okay!" Gon replied and both of them looked at you with big smiles on their faces.

"Huh?" You stared at them with confuse face and when you realize they're waiting for your answer, you smiled back. "I'll pass this one. I think I'll rest with Kurapika" you said.

Both of the boys put on a disappointed look but tensed up when they heard the "Rest with Kurapika" part.

They began imagining both you and Kurapika snuggling up to each other and snapped.

"NO!" They both yelled as they grabbed you and dragged you out of the door.

"Ah!" You exclaimed. "But-!" You tried to protest but with Gon and Killua, why do we even bother? You know perfectly that they won't listen to you in every way. You sighed in defeat and let them dragged you to the airship's hallway.

"Atleast this can keep me away from sleepiness..." You thought.

You've found yourself in the middle of the hallway with Gon and Killua who stopped dragging you, but both of them is still holding each of your arm. You three were just walking both of the males spotted a door that leads to a kitchen.

"Hey, Gon! Let's get some food!" Killua said as he lets go of your right arm.

Gon nodded. "Okay!" He said, letting go of your left arm.

"H-Hey! If you want food you can just go to the dinning area! You'll get ki-" you tried to warned but they already in. "...ck out..." You finally said and sighed and qaited for them to go out.

While waiting you spotted a man that looks to be the chef holding a tray of food and walking over to the kitchen where Gon and Killua is. The man saw you and smiled.

"Hey, little lady, is there something you want?" The man said.

You smiled back. "Uhm...Not really...Hehehe..." You said, laughing nervously.

"Ah! I get it you must be hungry!" The man said as he got food from his tray. "Here you go." He said as he handed you a plate of strawberries.

You drooled at sight of the fresh, red strawberries on the plate. Strawberries has always been your number one food of all time. The man noticed this and laughed. "It's okay, you can take it." He said.

You got it from him an looked up with a happy smile. "Thank you!" You said as you bowed.

He smiled one last time and waved at you and entered the kitchen. Forgeting about Gon and Killua because of the strawberries you sat down on one of the benches.

You were about to take a bite when you heard the man you met earlier yelled. You looked up to see the door opened, revealing the man holding Gon and Killua, who's eating a piece of meat, by the shirt

"If you want dinner, you can just go to the dinning area!" The man said as he kicked out Gon and Killua, allowing them to land on the floor and going back to the kitchen, closing the door.

They looked up to you and noticed you were just sitting on a bench, eating strawberries. They stood up.

"Eh? That's unfair! How did you got food without going in there!?" Gon whined as he pointed to the kitchen.

"The man gave this to me. He was very nice." You said, smiling. "Plus, you got food too, you know."

"That old man? You call that "nice"!?" Killua yelled.

"Well, I would be angry to people who didn't follow the rule to go the dinning area if they want food." You said.

Killua turned away, pouting. "I was hungry, ok!?" He said.

You couldn't help but laugh at this. The way Killua was acting so childish, it's cute and funny. Gon looked at both of you and felt a little bit left out.

"Hey! Let's start exploring the ship!" Gon said.

"You're right. Thanks to you guys, my sleepiness is gone!" You said, smiling.

"That's what are main purpose is..." Gon and Killua muttered.

"Hmm? Did you say something?" You asked.

"Nothing! Anyway let's go!" They said as they cling to each of your arms again.

"O...kay?" You said a bit suspicious. "Wait! How am I supposed to eat when the two of you are clinging to my arms!?" You yelled.

The two chuckled, mischievously and continued on walking. "Then, don't!" They said.

A vein appeared on your forehead as you kicked them both pretty hard on the leg, causing them to let go of you.

"OW!" They both exclaimed as they jumped around, holding their leg that you just kick. "What was that for!?" They asked.

"Because you two are being stubborn! I will do anything for my strawberries!" You said as you hugged the plate of strawberries. "Anyway, we can just walk around without both of you clinging in to me." You said.

Killua and Gon pouted and mumbled something that you didn't really hear. "Fine..." They both said.

"Great!" You said, smiling.

The three of you were walking in the hallway and talking. Suddenly, Killua walked towards window.

"Wow! (Y/N)! Gon! Look at this!" Killua said, amazed.

You and Gon walked over to him and look down on the window as well. You and Gon's eyes sparkled as both of you saw beautiful lights.

"Wow! They're like jewels!" You said while both of the males nodded.

The three of you watched the city lights with awe until Gon said something.

"Hey, I was wondering..." Gon said.

"Hmm?" You and Killua said.

"Where is your mom and dad?" Gon asked.

You widen your eyes slightly and about to say something but quickly closed your mouth when you heard Killua said something. "Hmm, they're alive probably..." Killua said.

Gon and Killua sat on a bench but you sat near the window. "What do they do?" Gon said, looking at you.

"They're assasins." Killua that caught your attention.

"Both of them?" You and Gon said in unison and looked at each other.

Killua looked at both of you and laughed. "What's with both of you's reaction? You two are really are a riot!" Killua said, laughing.

Both you and Gon looked back to Killua. "Because you serious right?" Both of you said.

Killua stopped laughing and put on a serious face. "What makes you both say that?" Killua asked.

"Well...For me, it's just a hunch." Gon said.

"Me too..." You said.

Then Killua rest his cheek on his palm and looked at the window. "That's weird...People only find me interesting because they can't tell whether I'm serious or not..." Killua said.

You and Gon hummed in understanding.

"I'm actually from a family of assassins. So all of us are assassins and each one of them has high hopes of me becoming a top assassin one day. But you know, I can't stand it..." Killua explained. "Who wants their life planned out for them? Not me..." Killua said.

You and Gon listened carefully as Killua tell the both of you his life.

"When I told them that I wanted to decide my own future, they all snapped!" Killua said, looking at both of you with an 'I-Can't-Believe-That' look. "My mom has tears flowing down her cheeks while telling me that I have a great potential on becoming a top assasin!" Killua said.

You giggled while Gon laughed.

"Their horrible parents, right? It's pretty natural that their kids will go bad!" Killua said. "We ended up fighting so I stabbed mother in the face, my brother on the side and ran away!" Killua said while you and Gon listened carefully, smiling.

"I'm sure that they'll hunting for blood right now." Killua said, smirking. "But if they find me, I'll send them packing." Killua said while you and Gon sweatdropped as Killua stood up and had a dreaming-looking face.

"When I become a hunter, I'll start by capturing my family. I'm sure my family is worth some high bountities!" Killua said as if dreaming.

You and Gon at background smiling while swetdropping. Killua turned around and face you. "How about you (Y/N)? Gon already told me his, how about you?" Killua said.

You looked at Gon and looked at Killua, then back at Gon. "You tell me your story first, Gon." You said, smiling.

Gon smiled. "Okay!" He said. "Well...Umm, my father was a hunter too! I want to be a hunter like him!" Gon said, proudly.

"What kind of hunter is your dad?" You asked.

Gon think and smiled. "I don't know!" He said. You sweatdropped. "He just left me to my aunt, Mito, who took care of me and left our island when I was a baby!" Gon said. "I wanted to become a hunter and find him so I can ask him what's so good about being a hunter that he's willing to abandon his own child for it!" Gon said, smiling.

You frowned. "That's not the kind of stuff to be happy about, Gon..." You thought.

Gon turned to you. "So, what's your story, (Y/N)?" Gon asked

You smiled slightly and looked to the window. "Well, my story isn't that exciting but..." You said as you took a deep breath. "My parents died when I was only three..." You said.

Gon widen his eyes. "I-I'm sorry..." He said, guilty.

"Don't be..." You said but didn't look at them. "I don't really know them much anyway..."

"When they died, I was sent to the orphanage but...they didn't like me because of...Something." You said.

Gon and Killua raised there eyebrows. "Something?" They thought.

"They didn't treat me with kindness just like everyone else. It was so horrible and I was sick of it." You explained. "When I turned eight, I ran away from the orphanage that time...But I didn't really know where I'm going that time and I always stumble in the woods." You said, laughing a little. "I was running so fast that I didn't even realise how exhausted I am...And I thought I was gonna die..." You said while the two boys flinched.

"But somehow, God wanted to keep me living in this world...A nice woman found me and took me to her house...It's Yumi-san..." You said, quietly but loud enough for Gon and Killua to hear you.

"She treated me like own daughter so I treated her like my own mother..." You said, smiling and turned around to face the boys. "And I found this hunter exam and decided to join in! That's it, end of story!" You said, raising your hands up.

Gon and Killua sighed in dissapointment and sat next to you. The three of you began talking to each other. Suddenly, you felt something and you're pretty sure Gon and Killua did too causing the three of you to turned around.

"Is something the matter?" An old voice said.

You three turned around to find the chairman, Netero walking toward the three of you.

"Ah, Netero-san..." Gon said. "Did you see anyone coming from there?" He asked as you nodded.

Killua just stared at Netero "When did he...?" He thought. "You're pretty fast. For an old man it is." Killua said, perfectly calmed.

"That little trick? I barely moved." Netero said, calm as well.

As they both stared at each other, you and Gon were looking at both of them, confuse on what is happening. "What is happening?" You thought.

"What do you want?" Killua suddenly said. "You don't have to do anything until the final phase, right?" Killua said, rudely.

You sweatdropped. "Has Killua ever talk to an elder before? He uses no honorifics and he's talking to Netero-san like he's in the same age as we do..." You thought.

"Now, there's no need to be so unkind...I was just bored and was merely looking for some companion." Netero explained.

"Anyway, I was meaning to ask the three of you, how do you like the hunter exam so far?" Netero asked.

You and Gon smiled. "It was fun! It's not a paper test like I was dreading!" Gon said.

"I agree with Gon. It's fun and very interesting." You said, smiling.

"I'm disappointed. Both 1st and 2nd phase are easy or rather the whole thing wasn't as difficult I was expecting." Killua said.

You sweatdropped again. "Who failed at the cooking part on the second phase?" You thought.

"I'm assuming the other phase will be much more difficult?" Killua said.

"Well, I wouldn't know about that..." Netero said as he put on a somewhat mischievous looking face.

Killua glared at him and turn around. "Let's go! (Y/N)! Gon!" He called as we walked.

"Now, wait just a moment." Netero said as Killua stopped walking. "Do you want to play a game with me?" Netero said.

Killua slowly looked behind his shoulder. "If you're able to beat me in this game, I shall let you be hunters!" Netero said.

You and Gon smiled. "Really? I'll play!" Gon said, excited.

"Me too!" You said, excited as well.

You and Gon look at Killua with a big smile and waiting for Killua's answer. Seeing the two of you like this, Killua couldn't help but sighed.

"Fine..."

I'm sorry, this is supposed to be continuing but I got lazy. I was actually pretty depress theses days because I'm in a different country and my home country is where my friends are. Now, I just found out that one of my best friends are being hurt by other people. I feel so pathetic that I couldn't do anything about it because I'm in a different country. Anyway!
