Law's POV

Oh my god....w-what?

I could barely comprehend what was going on, one second I'm falling into a rocky patch of sand that's a good eighteen feet below, and the next Kidd-ya decides to go rabid on me and tackles me into the ground.

The feeling of warm lips violently crashing onto my own became clear as he desperately pressed me into his larger form and clung onto me like a desprate animal.

Kidd-ya...

He must have been so worried about me...the idiot...

Tears gathered in the corner of my eyes as I kissed almost as forcefully back and looped my arms around him, I was so scared without him...I thought I was a goner for sure when that 'Crocodile' started the beating, trying to break me down, hurting me.

Just as the thought of that sorry bastard crossed my mind he apparently decided that as the best time to make his presence known to us again.

The sand below us swiftly went in what little space they found between us and roughly pushed us away from each other in a suprisingly powerful force, I tried to fight my way back as Kidd-ya fought tooth and nail against the gritty stuff, but it didn't drop back to the ground until we were a good distance from each other.

We glared back up to where he was and scowled when I saw a disgusted frown on his face.

That asshole.

He clicked his tongue as if disciplining a child, "no, no, no, you two open the gates first, then you can get back together in some little...whatever it was you were doing, but I want my gates open, and I want them open, now"

I heard my lover hiss out in a very pissed off tone and stomped his foot on the uneven ground in frustration, but instead of making a hissy fit like him, I just irritably sighed and looked back at the pretty heart above.

I inwardly noted it was a gorgeous sight indeed as I slowly approached it for a better look.

Looking around the room there seemed to have been no secret panels or switches...this might be a bit tougher than I first thought.

I hummed out loud noticing how Kidd-ya was still glaring at Crocodile to get his attention, thankfully his head whirled to my direction at the sound as he quickly ran over to me in eagerness like a beckoned puppy.

"Law, did you find anything yet? Or got a plan at least?" I sadly shook my head as I looked around the old ruins again, "no, I as hoping for your, 'unique' perspective to help us out" I sighed, Kidd shortly nodded and scanned the roomlike arena...

His eyes stopped in the direction of the gates, I turned around and looked at them as well.

I carefully stared at the two crystal door frames until I finally noticed a small hand print like button on each of them, 'what an idiot I am' I thought, as we both swiftly scurried to each of the doors and pressed each panel.

They slowly started to glow as the bismuth heart started to light up like a lava lamp.

We both took a few steps back as a soft wind started to blow around us, 'is this the so called test starting up?' Then out of nowhere a soft feminine voice rang out through the old ruins, "this is the final test for Pluton, the test of love"

Me and Kidd-ya steeled ourselves in preparation when the voice continued on.

"The last test...are riddles, either one of you choose the wrong answer and you and your partner will die, choose the right answer and Pluton will be left in your hands"

Riddles?

That sounds much too simple, it was almost too good to be true.

"Here is the first riddle,

I am of no use to one, yet absolute bliss to two.

The small boy gets it for nothing,
the young man has to lie or work for it,
the old man has to buy it,
it's the baby’s right,
the lover’s privilege,
the hypocrite’s mask,
to the young girl it's faith,
to the married woman it's hope,
to the old maid it's charity.

What am I?"

Okay, I take it back...much harder than I originally thought.

I pondered in my mind of what in the world the answer could've been when Kidd-ya smiled showing off his white teeth in a wide grin, "a kiss" he stated.

A low ding rang through the space as the redhead gave me a quick kiss on the cheek.

Well....I'm impressed.

Kidd's POV

This was going to be simple, hah! And this is a good chance to show off to Law!

I took a peek at him and immediately blushed and gulped, he was staring at me as if he was going to tackle me into the ground instead of the reverse.

"Next riddle, what is invisible and makes people suffer from symptoms like sweating and nausea, yet people can’t survive without it?"

Too damn easy.

"Love" I rolled my eyes as another ding echoed through the ruins, another stolen glance at Law made my heart jump, he was looking at me as if he was still alive and I was just an angel that fell from heaven...Holy shit if I knew he would react like this I would've shown off my riddle powers sooner!

"Last riddle, the enemy has kidnapped your lover and child, you can only save the one you love more.

Who is it?"

My eyes widened in horror as my jaw loosened in shock.

'W-WHAT!?'

"Count down begin..."

'What the flying fuck kind of question is that!?!?'

"3..."

'The one I love more!? That's BULLSHIT!!!'

"2..."

'There is no right answer to that!!!'

"1..."

'Wait-no right answer?'

"0..."

..........

The silence in the whole room was agonizing and choking me up as we stood there on end.

Finally a loud sound rang through the ruins, it was a ding.

"..You have passed the last test"

The gates slowly started to open as I got over my shock...well then I guess it's time to stop Pluton.
