I decided to skip up to the first ever episode of MD that I've seen.

Melanie's POV

I walked up the steps to Lady Aphmau's house. It had been a while since she first got here. I remember the day she became Lord and named the village Phoenix Drop. It was an amazing name. Phoenixs are beautiful creatures, but I've never seen one as they are extremely rare. I, today, was thinking of Zenix. When Aphmau told me of him going missing, I almost barfed. Zenix was like my little brother, and Garroth's son. I was going to miss the guy, if I hadn't already.

I walked up to Aphmau's wooden house, and knocked on the door.

"Coming! Hold on, let me just..." The door knob wiggled and out came Aphmau, holding a baby with blonde hair and blue eyes all bundled up in a white blanket.

"Oh my- where did you get a baby?!" I said, smiling at the small child. Aphmau sighed.

"He was dropped off at my doorstep." She said, walking out of her house.

"How strange." I said.

"I might keep him..." She said. I widened my eyes.

"That would be amazing! You'd make such a good mom." I said. Aphmau blushed.

"Thank you... But I better talk to Garroth about it first." She said.

Then, I remembered Garroth.

"Oh my- I haven't visited him yet!" I cried. Aphmau bit her lip.

"It's ok, it's ok... I haven't seen him yet either. We can go together." She offered. I agreed and we made our way to the farmhouse where Garroth was temporarily staying at while he healed.

"Garroth!" I said with a smile on my face as I saw him walking.

"Melanie! I've started walking, but Kiki warned me not to-" I didn't let him finish because I had already trapped him in a bear hug. Garroth hugged me back.

"You're ok!" I cried, pulling away to see my best friend standing.

"It still hurts." He said.

"Hey Garroth! Glad to see that you're ok... But I've got some news... This baby was dropped off at my doorstep." She said.

"Are you going to keep him?" Asked Garroth. Aphmau started to think for a moment, then smiled and nodded.

"That's great. I will help you raise him, should you be needed somewhere else, I will care for him as if he was my own. But, we still must make contact with his birth parents. I'll send Raven to Brightport, and ask Azura if any villagers are missing a baby or know anything on the matter." Then, Garroth tilted his head.

"You know... He's cute. He reminds me of someone." He said. I smiled, knowing he was talking about Aphmau.

"Now, onto writing the letter." He said. Aphmau smiled, and left the house.

"So, you think Aphmau is cute?" I asked. Garroth started stuttering... Again.

"N-no." He said. I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah right." I said. Garroth then started wincing and falling backwards.

"Garroth, are you supposed to be walking a lot?" I asked. He shook his head no.

"But I have to do my responsibilities. I'm her head guard after all." Garroth said as he got up to do his stuff. I frowned, pushing him back down so he could fall back onto the bed.

"No. You are resting." I said.

"Or?" He asked. I smirked.

"Or I'll take off my helm." I said smugly. Garroth froze.

"You wouldn't dare." He threatened.

You see, the thing is that we have an oath. If I take off my helm, he takes off his helm. If he takes off his helm, I take off my helm. So, you can see why he was worried.

"Yeah I would." I said, sitting next to him. He groaned, slapping his forehead with his palm.

"Haha. I win." I said. Then, we fell in silence.

"How about a baby shower? For, the baby?" I asked. Garroth nodded.

"I'm paying. You have to at least let me do that." He said. I laughed, nodding. Then, silence overcame us, and I knew what we were both thinking about.

"I miss Zenix too, Garroth. But we can't be mourning him being lost forever. He'll be back. I can feel it." I said, grabbing Garroth's hand and squeezing it.

Even with his helm on, I knew he was smiling.
