19- Trouble in Paradise

Steven^^^

Ted's POV

"Let's go?" Kaden asked as I finished picking the last of my notebooks.

I nod in response and we started to walk out of the room and to Sam's locker. It has been a week since the incident with Zach happened and it has gotten better. Well, a tiny bit.

Kaden's face was better now from Zach's punch while Zach on the other hand isn't. He's still angry and would barely acknowledge me in school or when I tutor him.

I would sometimes catch him glancing at me and that's it. He doesn't sit beside me in music class anymore which is sort of bugging me. Him not being beside me while annoying me during music class is really getting to me, especially his smile. I miss it, I must admit.

As we walked through the hallways, people started greeting me. I'm still not used to this much attention and to be honest, I think I'm never going to get used to it.

"Still not used to it?" He asked.

"I'll never get used to it," I joked.

"Kade! Ted!" someone called from behind. We both look behind us to see Steven, Kaden's best friend and cousin, frantically running, trying to catch up.

"Oh, hey Steven," I greeted.

We continued walking and eventually got to sams locker where she and Lai were waiting. We then went to the cafeteria, got our food, and sat at our table. For a couple of minutes, we ate in silence until sam started a conversion.

"So, there's a party tomorrow night. You guys wanna come?"

"I don't really do parties," I said as all of them agreed.

"There's no such thing as 'I don't really do parties' in our watch," Lai said

Oh, no.

"We'll pick you up tomorrow at around 10 in the morning and we'll give you a total makeover," Sam said with an excited smile.

"Bu-"

"No buts. Be ready tomorrow."

There's no point in arguing anymore cause we all know I'm not going to win. We continued to eat, occasionally talking. Zach passed by our table and I gave him a warm smile and a wave but only be replied with a glare.

"Trouble in paradise?" Sam asked.

"He's not even close to paradise," I joked.

His lips are paradise.

"I can't believe he's still mad about that kiss," Kaden said.

"Zach could be possessive of what he wants," Sam smirked at me.

"What if Ted and Kaden faked being together and see what Zach will do?" Steven suggested. Oh my god, Steven! Stop it with your stupid suggestions!.

"He'll probably kill Kaden but I'm down," Sam said as everybody but me agreed.

"Are you sure about this? It sounds like a bad idea," I told them with an unsure tone.

"It's a great idea!" Sam reassured me. I know it's a bad idea but you know what my twin says, loosen up and take risks.

"Ok, but only for a week starting today until next Friday," I said.

"Deal."

Kaden changed seats with Lai and intertwined our fingers. He then scooched closer to me, kissed me on the cheek, and started to call me T-dore, a new nickname which is quite cute, actually.

"Aren't you guys so cute!" Lai shouted, making most of the students look at us, including Zach.

"Shut up, Lai!" I whisper shouted.

"Since we're all finished, why don't we go to the library and spend the remaining 20 minutes there," Steven said.

We stood up from our table, cleaned it, and started walking with Kaden beside me, holding my hand, obviously. They decided it was a good idea to pass by Zach and as we approach him, I could see his pissed off face and I'm quite entertained, surprisingly.

As we pass by him, I run my hand through his arm, smirking in the process. He grabbed my arm, making Kaden and I stop.

"Stop it!" He whispered in an angered voice.

"Make me," I replied, removing his grip from my arm.

We continue walking until we reach the library. We sat at one of the unoccupied tables and started laughing.

"What did Zach say to you?" Steven asked.

"He told me to stop it," I said and I laugh.

"What did you say next?"

"Make me," I said, making a funny smirking face.

"Ooh, I like this kind of Ted. All seductive and sexy," Sam joked.

We saw the library door open not long after we started talking and saw Zach. I wrapped my hands around Kaden's arm quickly before he got to us.

"Hey, brother. Take a seat," Sam said, pointing at the vacant seat next to me.

"So, what lead you here?" Lai asked.

"I just wanted to ask of you guys are going to the party tomorrow. Me and my girlfriend are going," Oh, girlfriend. I see. It doesn't take a genius to know he's lying.

"Oh, you have a girlfriend? We could maybe have a double date if you don't mind," I said as I looked over at Kaden, angering Zach even more. I could see from my peripheral vision Sam, Lai, and Steven holding their laughter.

"Can I talk to you privately?" Zach asked and I nod.

He grabbed my arm and rushed me to the very back of the library between two shelves. Basically where I always hide before.

"Can you stop all of this bullsh*t? It's not funny," he said. I could hear the hurt from his voice but I managed to keep my composure.

"Stop what? If you don't want to have a double date, then it's fine. You don't nee-"

"Stop. We both know what I'm talking about," he cut me off.

"I just... don't want to see you with another boy that isn't me," he said, going in for a kiss. Before our lips touch, I put my finger on his lips and moved his head away from mine.

"Ah ah ah, my boyfriend is waiting for me. Anyways, thank you for your concern," I said, patting his shoulder before walking away with a blush.

"I just... don't want to see you with another boy that isn't me."

I could listen to him say that any time of the day. I walk back to the table to see them with faces of anticipation. I sat down on my seat and I was bombarded with questions.

"What did you guys do? Did you make out?" Lai said, hoping it would be true.

"No, but he almost kissed me. I stopped him before our lips could touch," I explained.

"Why did you stop him?" Steven asked as Zach passed us, glaring at us angered. I could now see the hurt in his eyes which makes me want to run to him and hug him tightly.

"Well, someone's angry," Sam whispered to my ear. I just laughed it off, trying to hide the guilt I'm feeling.

I sat on Zach's bed, waiting for him to answer my question. Since I got here, Zach hasn't talked or even acknowledge my presence. He just stares at me. An angry stare, unfortunately.

"Zach, you haven't been listening to me this past week and you need to listen to me so you'll pass this class," I said with a soft tone, hoping it would calm him down.

"Maybe you should go to your boyfriend and maybe he'll listen to your annoying voice!"

Oh.

"Teddy, I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that," he apologized, realizing what he just told me.

"It's fine, I-I'll just go," I said, fixing my bag as quickly as possible. Is my voice really annoying? He continued to apologize and tried to stop me by grabbing my hand which only made me annoyed.

"I said I'm fine!" I shouted, vigorously removing his grip from my hand. I grabbed my bag and quickly walked away from his room to Sam's room but not before glancing at his regretful face.
