"Hey Princess." Lance walked over to Allura, he rubbed the back of his head. "So, umm since we are on Earth and the Galra are gone, I was wonder—that is if you aren't busy or anything—"

"Lance." Allura laughed as she took a step closer to him. "I already know what your going to say."

"You do?" Lance raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah the mice told me."

"I should really stop talking to them. Those guys can't keep a secret!" Lance chuckled and rolls his eyes playfully. "So you already know about the—"

"Dinner plan with you family." Allura smiled and blush. "Yes I do. It's an earth custom right?"

"Dinner? Do you guys not have dinner on Altea?" Lance tilted his head in confusion.

"No, when you like someone you bring them to dinner with your family." Allura said with a blush. "At least that's what Pidge tells me when I talked to her about this."

"What! You talked to Pidge too?" Lance says in a small panic. "I'm never going to hear the end of it from her, who else are you telling about our secret plans? Hunk? Shiro? Keith? You better not tell Keith—"

Allura just laughed. "If your worried they will find out we are dating, and that you like me, don't worry. I believe they already know."

"What makes you think they know I like you?"

Allura just laughed.

"What?" Lance held onto her shoulders. "Allura! Why would they think—"

Allura stopped his talking with a quick kiss. "If you sister can tell, I believe the other Paladins and Shiro can tell." She smiled. "Besides they are the least of your worries now right?"

"Yeah... I guess I should start helping with dinner... we got a big family, it's going to take all evening just for me to introduce them to you." He laughed, moving his hands down to be in her hand. "Well malady, you got business to attend to?"

"Yes I am working with the Holts to try and see how our mystery enemy is using Alteans to power their weapons." Allura said. "So far we don't have any breakthrough as to how or who is doing this, and why they would send it now."

"Well I hope your research turns out as well as our dinner is going to go." Lance said and kissed her hand. "I'll pick you up around 5?"

"Sounds good." Allura smiled.

Lance blushed before saying his goodbyes for the next few hours before walking off to go home and help his mother prepare dinner for the evening.

————————————

"Shiro I have a problem." Keith said as he walked into Shiro's room. Shiro was sitting at the counter, old memories faded trough his mind of the last time he was in this room.

'Don't expect me to be here when you get back....' that line played through over and over in Shiro's mind. Sadly, Adam was right... as always. Why did he have to always be right about everything?

"Shiro." Keith said again, snapping Shiro out of the memory and he looked up at Keith. "Your thinking about him again aren't you?"

"How could I not?" Shiro chuckled. "But what are you doing here Keith? Aren't you suppose to be with Krolia visiting your father?"

"Yeah... that's where this whole problem thing comes from." Keith huffed and leaned against the counter. "My mother was telling me all about my father, things I haven't heard before. I even told her the story how my father came to career day and he let everyone ride around in the fire truck... that was the only time my classmates didn't hate me."

"They never hated you Keith. You are just closed off to everyone but like three people." Shiro turned to face him.

"Guess that happens when your dad dies and leaves you alone." Keith said, looking to the side. "But that's not the real problem Shiro. It's who showed up, that's the problem. You remember that one Galra pilot I told you about?"

"Axca?"

"So that's her name." Keith said with a roll of his eyes.

"What about her?" Shiro asked with a chuckle.

"She showed up and pretended like I needed comfort or something. My father died years ago, I don't need comforting now. She pretend like she knows me, like we are best buds. I've known you guys and the other paladins for years and I wouldn't even consider them close friends." Keith huffed.

"Sounds like someone has a crush."

"I do not have a crush Shiro." Keith said, oblivious as to what was happening.

"No, she has a crush. On you." Shiro chuckled.

"She does?" Keith raised an eyebrow and looked at Shiro. "Are you sure? Cause if she did I'm pretty sure it would be obvious."

Shiro just laughed. "Did I ever tell you about how Adam told me he liked me? I was so shocked... I said thanks." He laughed, Keith laughed softly as well. "After that moment all my 16 year old brain could think of was to just hide and hope Adam transferred out of my class."

"Guessing That didn't happen then?" Kieth said with a smile. "You guys seemed so happy together..."

"Don't worry Keith. Although Adam and I..." Shiro swallowed, sometimes it pained him to think of these old memories. "We May of seemed all perfect to you, but we had our struggles... we had our fights. We had our breakups, and we had our lovely moments too. We had moments of happiness where I felt like nothing at all could be better then the moment I was spending with Adam."

Keith chuckled softly. "Yeah basically perfect, unlike me you had someone Shiro."

"You have someone too Keith. The other paladins, you all are like a family. You had no reason to come to earth, yet you seemed the most determined to get us there." Shiro said. "You know how much it meant to the others that they got home, and you put their needs before your own."

"That's nothing like you and Adam." Keith said, standing up. "Besides I should go... you were busy and it was rude of me to interrupt."

"Keith you can't just run away from your feelings." Shiro stated.

"I can try." Keith said with a shrug then left without another thought

"Lance! Where have you been! You were suppose to be home 3 hours ago to help me with these tamales!" Lance's mother snaps at him as soon as he walks in the door.

"Sorry Ma-ma." Lance apologized and quickly took off his shoes and hurried to the kitchen to wash his hands. "I lost track of time."

"More like you lost track of time in Allura's eyes." Veronica said under his breath.

"I DID NOT!" Lance snapped, already bright red in the face. "We had a normal conversation!"

"While kissing or..." Veronica teased.

"No! Veronica!" Lance's face went a shade darker. "I was late for perfectly normal reasons."

"Kissing your girlfriend is perfectly normal." Veronica smirked.

"I am not kissing anyone!" Lance glared as he dried off his hands and Veronica just laughed.

"Who is Lance kissing? Is it that one alien chick?" Marco walked in, carrying a grocery bag. "Mom, got the sauce you needed." He set the bag on the counter.

"Thank you Marco." Their mother said and grabbed the can and poured it into the pan. "Now Lance, go get your brother and sister, I need them to go pick some vegetables from the garden." She told Lance.

"On it!" Lance said and darted upstairs. "Luis! Sofia!" He called, the two of them were in their rooms listening to music. "Mom need you guys to pick some vegetables."

Luis groaned. "Again? Seriously?"

"It's because his girlfriend is coming over, we all of a sudden need a feast." Sofia groaned as he walked out of her room.

"She isn't my girlfriend. She is a girl, and yes she is my friend... but we aren't like getting married or anything!" Lance quickly says as he walks with them down the stairs.

"Keep telling yourself that." Sofia laughed. "I think you have proposed more times then anyone in the universe."

"Have not!" Lance snapped as they walked outside to get the vegetables.

"Yeah you have. Remember Stephanie?" Luis smirked.

"What about her?" Lance said softly.

"You proposed to her after 3 days of dating. Honestly Lance, you have grown up, but not by much." Sofia laughed as she picked some tomatoes. "Seven bucks says you will propose to her by the end of the week if you haven't already."

"I haven't!" Lance snapped as he grabbed a zucchini. "And I'm not proposing. We just got back to earth, and Allura is busy with research and she is still adjusting to earth life. Milking Katlenecker still freaks her out."

"So your proposing when she can handle your cow?" Luis raised an eyebrow as he grabbed some squash.

"No! Nobody said anything about proposing!!" Lance yelled.

"Proposing?" Said a voice behind them. Lance turned around and Allura was standing right there behind him.

Lance blushed. "Ummm.... princess... you are early."
————————————
"Umm... princess. You are early." Lance stumbled on his words as he looked at her.

"Lance what's the proposal you speak of?" Allura asked, crossing her arms as she stood at the edge of the garden. She had put on a beautiful light purple summer dress, that looked just fabulous with her skin tone. She had braided her hair down her back as well. Allura looked absolutely flawless.

"It's nothing!" Lance tried to cover it all up. "My siblings are just teasing me. Right guys? But anyways, wow!" Lance got up and walked over to her. "You look..." he blushed. "Beautiful."

"Don't think I'll forget that quickly Lance." Allura said. "Are you planning on proposing to me?"

"Do you know what proposing is?" Lance asked first.

"Absolutely no idea. But I hear it's an earth custom for when you love someone..."

"Well then I might, eventually. But not now! So no need to worry." Lance chuckled.

"Lance..." Sofia interrupted. "Quit flirting and help us carry these in for mom." She snapped at him.

Lance laughed. "Excuse me princess..." he quickly turned around and gave a look to his siblings, telling them to shut up now that his date was here. He quickly gathered up his part and walked with Allura back to the house.

"Ma!" Lance called when he got in. "I got the veggies. Why didn't you announce that Allura was here!" He said as he walked in the back door and set the many vegetables in the sink so they could be washed.

"Oh Lance, you are right she is just beautiful." His mother commented as she was finishing up cooking.

Lance just blushed and looked down at the vegetables.

"And she is so smart, and thin, and pretty—"

"Ma-ma!" Lance said quit loudly, his face bright red.

"Oh it's not like you don't talk about her all the time, it's about time I had a turn." His mother snapped at him before getting out a cutting board. "Now help me cut up these, so we can eat."

"Yes ma." Lance said quietly, his face began to die down as he cut the vegetables.

Allura giggled as she sat in a stool. "You gave such a lovely home Mrs...."

"McClain, but you can just call me Ma." She said as she took the pieces Lance had already cut and added them into the dinner. "I got a good feeling about you. You will be joining this family soon enough."

Sofia and Luis who had just came in with their veggies just snickered in the corner. "Told you Lance. We are your family, we know you better then you know yourself." Sofia said.

Lance couldn't argue with that logic, so he just kept cutting and tried to ignore his siblings. "Don't pay attention to them Allura. They are just an embarrassment."

"I think your family is quite lovely." Allura said with a smile. "They all look so similar to you."

"Well yeah, they are my family, all McClains look alike. It's the lovely Cuban blood that flows through our veins." Lance said.

Allura laughed. Veronica and Marco entered the room. "Oh Allura." Veronica smiled. "I didn't know you had arrived." The two girls hugged. "I assume Sofia and Luis are treating you well?"

"Yes they are." Allura said. "But Lance, I think they are not."

Veronica smirked. "Sounds like them. But Lance is so easy to tease."

"Am not!" Lance argued. He had finished cutting the veggies and was now helping his mother put stuff on the table.

"Are too. You can't argue with logic Lance." Veronica said.

"Can too!" Lance tried to argue, but totally lost when he couldn't think of anything else to say back. "I'll think of something later."

"Alright kids, go wash your hands." Their mother said. The kids all mumbled a yes and went to do just that. Lance went with Allura to a separate bathroom to wash up there.

"Sorry, my family... they are an embarrassment." Lance blushed softly as he looked over at her as they washed their hands.

"Lance. Don't be embarrassed. I love them already." Allura said. "You always seem so happy to see them all the time. And it feels comforting to have something that feels like a family again. Your siblings, your mother... they are all so welcoming and kind. I miss having that."

"You miss your family. I get that. I missed mine so much when we were out there." Lance said as he looked over at her, their faces so close. "But Allura, my family is your family." He quickly pulled her into a hug.

Allura smiled back. "Lance? Your hands are wet."

"Oh my bad!" He quickly pulled away with a laugh and grabbed a towel for the two of them to share.

Allura laughed as she dried her hands with him. "And Lance?"

"Hmm?"

"Thank you."

Keith's blade struck against the metal of the robot simulator. He had been training for a couple hours now, sweat dropped down his face as he pushed back against his opponent. He eventually got the advantage and slashed at the robot, slicing him in half.

Level twenty seven complete. A voice said.

"End training simulation." Keith said, putting his Bayard back on his belt. He grabbed a towel to wipe himself down a bit. A lot had been on Keith's mind lately, like what he was going to do now that he was back on earth. He really had no reason to come back here. He had no family, and basically no friends. So why was he still here?

"Not bad for a dropout." A familiar voice said behind Keith. Keith turned around to see his old classmate James Griffin.

"Shut up Griffin." Keith said as he turned back to grab his jacket.

"Pleasure to see you again Keith." James chuckled.

"Why are you here?" Keith snapped.

"Maybe I just wanted to see you." James said as he looked at him. Keith gave a confused look back. "Just kidding." James laughed. "But seriously I am here to talk to you about something."

"Just get on with it James. I don't have time to mess around." Keith snapped.

"Fine. It's about this." James held up a notebook, a notebook Keith was all to familiar with. It was his school notebook from when he was a cadet. They had used it as a journal during class.

"Where did you get that?" Keith glared at him. "That's my private property."

"Then maybe you shouldn't of left it here dropout." James teased. "Just leaving stuff like this open for anyone to see it... wouldn't want everyone to know your secret."

"What do you want James." Keith gave in to the blackmail, knowing exactly the contents of the book.

James smirked, knowing now that Keith really did value the contents of this book. "Oh I'm going to have so much fun with you now... but you know that one girl that follows you around, Axca, is that her name?"

"Yes." Keith answered, looking to the side.

"I want you to introduce her to me. You know what I mean?"

"If you want to meet her why don't you just go up and talk to her yourself." Keith said. "Why do you need me? Too chicken? Afraid of a girl?" Keith put his hand on his hip.

"I am not afraid!" James snapped. "I just want you to introduce me, and I can handle it from there. Also, what are your plans for Friday?"

"Nothing..." Keith said.

"Good, and keep it open... or else that day will be the day the entire Garrison finds a copy of this notebook on their doorsteps." James smirked.

Keith said nothing, he just looked down. "Fine." He said softly after a moment.
———————————————————————

"Oh Lance your family is just delightful." Allura said with a smile. "And that earth food was amazing!"

Lance chuckled. "Yeah my mom is the best cook in the universe. I don't know you guys survive on that alien goo." Allura laughed with him. Lance was walking her back to her house, it was an old house a couple streets down from Lance's house. Hunk lived in the same area as well. Allura has her hand linked with Lance's as they walked along the sidewalk under the trees.

"So Allura?" Lance said. "Do you like it here?"

"Yes I do Lance, the house is beautiful."

"No I mean like here on Earth." Lance corrected her.

"Oh... yeah. It's quite lovely as well." Allura smiles softly.

"Like how much do you like it?" Lance asked.

"What is this about Lance?" Allura asked him.

"Well... I'm just wondering, like maybe in the future, but... how long are you planning on staying here? With me?" Lance asked her.

Allura thought about it as they walked in silence for a few moments. "I don't know. Earth is all new. You also know everything with Lotor and I—"

"No need to go into that." Lance interrupted. They had arrived at Allura and Coran's house. It was a cozy two bedroom house that was white with purple shutters.

"Thank you for walking me home." Allura said as she stood on the doorstep with Lance.

"Will you think about it?" Lance asked her as he looked down into her eyes, moving his hands to her waist.

"Think about what?" Allura asked.

"Staying here on Earth with me... for the rest of our lives." Lance said softly, just loud enough so she could hear.

"I'll try." Allura promised.

Lance smiled softly. At least she will try to think about it. He slowly leaned down and kissed her softly on the lips. They kissed until their moment was ruined by Coran.

"Alright kiddos!" Coran quickly threw open the door. "Time to wrap it up."

Lance screamed and quickly pulled away from Allura. "Coran!" Lance argued.

Allura laughed. "I'll see you tomorrow Lance." She quickly stood on her tip toes and planted a single kiss in his cheek before going inside her house.
———————————————————————
Keith huffed as he walked up to the one person he had been avoiding all day. Axca. Pidge has told him that she was looking for him, it was that moment that Keith made it his personal goal of the day to avoid all contact with anyone, so he wouldn't run into her and she couldn't track him down. Everything that happened with James ran through his mind, would James really blackmail him? Would he shoot that low?

There is no way he could possibly know what everything in that notebook meant, besides it's from when Keith was a child, his first year here at the Garrison... it had personal things in there. Keith remembered staying up late on a Sunday night writing about Father's Day. Every kid at the Garrison got to call their dad or have their dad visit... but his had died two years ago. He had gotten use to the feeling of having no father, no father to teach him how to talk to girls, no father to show him how to shoot a gun, fly a plane, drive. Nobody. He had no one for him that day.

"Hey Keith," Shiro had come up to him that day and talked to him. He told him he needed him outside, that was when Shiro surprised him with his first hover bike. Shiro has his own and they took it for a ride that day, Shiro had even jumped off a cliff. They had talked and had a good moment. Shiro was like the fatherly brother figure he had never had. At least Shiro would still be there for him, even if James showed the entire world that notebook.

"Keith." Axca smiled when she saw him. "I've been looking everywhere for you. You walked away when I came to talk to you at your father's grave."

"I know." Keith said.

"I didn't get to tell you what I came to tell—"

"Yeah, cause I didn't want to listen." Keith said.

"So umm... I wanted to finish now. Look, Keith. What Ezor and Zethrid said a while back—"

"I don't care what they said if that's what you are trying to do." Keith crossed his arms.

"No. That's not it. Can you just stop interrupting me." Axca snapped. Keith stopped talking and looked to the side. "I like you." Axca said. "Like a lot Keith."

Keith just stood there, silent. Axca liked him? What. Nobody had ever said that to him before... nobody had ever admitted to having a crush on Keith Krogan before. "Ummm... thank you?" Keith tried to say something... anything.

"And I was wondering, maybe we could train together sometime, maybe go get a bite to eat or something to drink after." Axca said, hopefully.

"I... Yeah..." Keith said quietly. "Sounds fun. When?"

"How about this Friday?" Axca said.

"Sure. One question, can I bring James?" Keith asked.

"Oh... ummm... I suppose that's fine, if he wants he can invite a girl or someone."

"Why would he do that?" Keith asked.

"Well... umm Keith. Cause we are going on a date and I don't want him to feel like a third wheel. We can make it a double date." Axca smiled. "More people, more fun, right?"

"Umm. Yeah. I suppose that sounds good. So it's a date then." Keith scratched his neck as he looked at her. He didn't know why this felt so foreign... so awkward, so different. Maybe it was because he had never done anything like this before.

"Yes a date." Axca smiled.
————————————————————————

"But seriously Pidge," Lance had been ranting for hours to Hunk and Pidge how perfect his date was with Allura last night. "My family was an embarrassment but it was a perfect night, and she kissed my cheek." He sighed.

"Sounds like heaven." Pidge said sarcastically as she typed at her computer.

"Oh come on you guys! You are like machines. Show some emotion! Be excited with me." Lance complained.

"Oh Lance!" Hunk said. "Your Date is absolute amazing! It's a match made in heaven with a cherry on top!"

Lance rolled his eyes.

Matt walked into the room and laughed. "Hey, I ship you two."

"Hey Matt." Pidge smiled. "What are you doing here?"

"Dad got more information on the tech from that Robot." Matt said as he handed Pidge a chip. "Here is the information, he wants you to run it and see if you can find anything useful."

"Sounds like a perfect date for me. Just me and my computer." Pidge smirked as she plugged it in.

"So you and Allura are a thing huh?" Matt tilted his head. "How's that going?"

"Awww..." Lance sighed romantically. "Amazing."

"Honestly, that's all he ever does." Hunk said as he watched the information run across Pidge's screen.

"Yep, lover boy Lance." Pidge said. "But it will be interesting to hear rumors on how Keith's date goes."

"Wait what?" Lance snapped out of his thoughts. "Are my ears broken or are you saying Keith is going on a date?"

"Yeah, I heard it from Shiro at breakfast." Pidge said.

"Yeah me too." Hunk said.

"Same." Matt nodded.

"Wait! Why didn't I hear this?" Lance asked.

"Cause somebody needs their beauty sleep." Pidge said in a teasing tone.

"Hey! It takes time to look this good every day Pidge." Lance struck a pose. "You wouldn't understand how much time and dedication goes into this flawless skin and perfect hair."

"Oh I can't imagine." Pidge rolled her eyes.

"But seriously why wouldn't Keith tell me he was going on a date. I could give him tips, and tricks and talking points and pick up lines!" Lance paced the floor and rambled on. "I could help him pick out flowers or chocolates—"

"I think that's why he didn't tell you." Matt laughed.

"Yeah besides he only told Shiro, who told me," Pidge said. "And i told everyone else."

"I gotta go find Keith, that mullet head is going to mess up this date if he is not properly taught in the art of dating." Lance said.

"Hmm... art of dating? I bet that's the only class you passed." Pidge teased.

"Hey!" Lance snapped and the other three boys laughed.

"Well come to think of it... over these past years I don't remember ever seeing Keith being romantic with anyone, or even looking at anyone..." Hunk said. "Do you think this is his first date?"

"This can't be his first... He is like almost twenty right?" Matt said. "Even I had been on multiple dates before I was sixteen, and I was a nerd."

"This is his first date too..." Lance said. "Oh he needs major help. And step one is that stupid mullet of his." Lance said and quickly left the room.

"He talks a lot about that mullet." Matt said.

"I think it's his own obsession, he is just jealous cause he can't grow one." Pidge laughed.

————————————————————————

"Keith!" Lance ran around the corner and into the dorm room where the paladin was. Lance didn't even bother knocking, he just walked right on in.

"Lance!" Keith almost jumped clean out of his skin, he was not expecting him to just walk into his room. "What are you doing here Lance? I don't have time for you right now. I have plans."

"No no no!" Lance shook his hands and head. "That's the thing, I heard you are going on a date and so I came to help!"

Keith raised an eyebrow at him. "I'm not going on a date, Axca and I are just training, I don't think of her that way. Besides I am just getting to know her as a friend."

"What! But Axca is like gorgeous! I am surprise you don't want to kiss her." Lance said.

"Yeah, I am not a hugger or a kisser." Keith crossed his arms. "Are you here for something or are you just here to annoy me?"

"I'm here to give you tips about dating a women." Lance put his hands on his hips.

"Don't need them cause we aren't dating. Now I need to go." Keith started to walk past him when Lance grabbed his arm.

"Come on, let me help you buddy. You don't want to blow this, Axca is like super pretty."

"I don't need your help Lance." Keith pulled his arm out of his hand. "And if you think she is so pretty, then why don't you go flirt with her, just like you do with everything that has two legs." He snapped before walking or the door, leaving a Lance alone, with a shocked look on his face.

Lance ended up spying on Keith as he went on his date with Axca. Keith was so so awkward.... not only did he barely talk to her, he never got her door and he didn't even smile at her. All they did was practice together in a simulation.

"Whatcha looking at?" Pidge said suddenly behind Lance, Lance almost screamed but covered his mouth and ducked back around the corner, out of sight from Keith.

"Nothing!" Lance said, looking over to see Pidge, Matt, and Hunk. "Defiantly not spying on Keith."

"Lance you have been acting strange lately, are you sick?" Hunk asked.

"No, he is just jealous Keith has a girl that Lance doesn't have in his collection." Pidge straightened her glasses.

"Am not!" Lance argued. "I am just looking and making sure he doesn't blow it with Axca."

Matt, Pidge, and Hunk just laughed softly. "Sure....." Matt replied. "You are it's jealous. Why don't you go find Allura or something."

"Fine." Lance said and quickly walked off to go find someone else to talk to.
——————————————————————

Keith wiped the sweat from his forehead.

"Good job that time." Axca said. "You skill wth a blade is remarkable."

Keith didn't say anything, he just nodded, he already knew that. Now he just needed to somehow get Axca and James together.

"You are pretty good too." Keith said. "For an Earth simulator of course."

"Maybe I need more practice. We should do this again more often." Axca said sweetly as she walked closer to Keith.

"I can't help you improve." Keith said, taking a step to the side to try and avoid whatever she was doing. "But I know James could help you."

"But James is so boring. You are way better then he is." Axca said.

"I think you just need to get to know James. I have his number if you want to call him." Keith pulled out his phone to look at what Jame's number was again. "Here." He showed it to her.

"Oh thanks...." Axca looked down, obviously disappointed in something.

"I should go." Keith stood up and put in his jacket.

"You are leaving already? I thought we could get some ice cream." Axca looked up at him.

"Yeah, I need to talk to Shiro." Keith said. "Maybe I'll see you another time." He said as he began to walk off, away from Axca.

Keith let or a deep breath, he didn't realize he was holding it in. Well Keith had kept up his half of the bargain, so they had to hope that James would do the same.
——————————————————-
Lance sighed as he entered the cafeteria. "Guys, you would not believe what Keith did to me!" He complained to Pidge, Matt and Hunk. "I am trying to help him with this date of his and he totally wouldn't let me!"

"Gee, can't imagine why Keith wouldn't want your help." Pidge said sarcastically. "It's not like you have been a complete jerk to him over the past few years."

"What! Have not." Lance said.

"Yeah dude, you kinda have." Hunk agreed.

"Oh really?" Lance said. "Name one time."

"In space.... when you were like: you ran away Keith maybe you should of just stayed away." Pidge said.

"We were space mad. Everyone was." Lance objected.

"Or whenever you make fun of his mullet?" Hunk said.

"It's a flipping mullet, those are not in style!" Lance objected. "I was trying to help."

"Or this whole rivalry thing you had going on, always trying to one up him." Matt said. "I honestly thought you two couldn't stand each other... is that not why Keith went to the Blade?"

"Oh... umm... well we are rivals." Lance said.

"This rivalry feels very one sided... He was never mean to you Lance." Pidge said.

"Well he was mean to Allura a lot." Lance said. "Maybe that's why I am mean to him, because he is mean to my girlfriend."

"Yeah cause she is all over you." Matt laughed. Pidge and Hunk just glared at the older boy. "Oops..."

"What is that suppose to mean." Lance snapped.

"Well Lance... we think she is just using you to get over Lotor." Pidge said.

"Allura is not! She would never do something like that. She loves me and I love her." Lance chocked on some tears that were trying to escape his eyes.

"No Lance we don't mean it." Hunk tried to say but Lance had already turned and run off, he just ran down the hallway of the garrison and kept running, having no idea where he was going until he was lost.

Lance wiped his wet cheeks with his sleeve as he looked around at the unknown place. Along the wall were lots of small rectangles, they looked like ID badges. Each had a name, a picture, and the time served at the garrison. Then it became clear... this was the grave room, where they kept the memorials of all those who have died in battle or in service of the garrison.

"Lance?" A deep voice behind him said, Lance turned around to see Shiro.

"Oh Shiro. I'm sorry. I don't think I'm suppose to be here, I just got lost." Lance tried to explain his situation.

"Don't be sorry, it's fine, you can be here. I just wasn't expecting anyone else to be here." Shiro said, he was holding a flower in his hand.

"Is that for someone?" Lance asked him.

"Yeah." Shiro said, looking down at the yellow rose in his hand. "You could say that, although frankly I don't think they would get it... but it's the symbolism that counts right?"

"Yeah." Lance said. "Who is it?"

"Here." Shiro walked over to a point on the wall and pointed to a name: Adam W. "Never thought he would be right you know? When I left on my mission he told me not to expect him there when I got back."

"Guess he is always right then." Lance said softly. "I'm sorry. Who was he to you? A cousin or something?"

"No." Shiro said. "And I don't know what we were. We... had a fight before I left. It left our relationship in ruins. But I didn't want him to watch me die slowly, I didn't want to have him burdened by my prior existence and some promise we made together."

"So.... friends?" Lance questions.

"We were more like Rivals then friends." Shiro chuckled. "I remember our first day at the Garrison together. He was taller then me and always said he was better because of it. I remember I ate so much food just to try and grow to be taller then him. We got to the point when we were about 15 when we reached the same height, but our rivalry just kept going. We made bets on who would grow taller first. I am not quite sure if these feelings were always there or if they developed over a period of time... but he wanted a new pistol if he got taller, and I said I wanted him to marry me if I was taller."

"Oh... and you won?" Lance questioned, he never knew quite what to think about Shiro. This completely changed his perspective of him... Shiro has a lover! And a boy lover at that! Lance didn't know how anyone could find a boy more attractive then a girl... it was so foreign to him.

"Indeed I did." Shiro put his hand on the small rectangle that belonged to Adam, he pushed it into the wall and it piped out to reveal a hidden compartment. Inside was only one item, a gold wedding wing. "And I don't know why he choose to have this cheep little thing put with him... but I don't think we were over for forever, I don't think he moved on like I did."

"You moved on?" Lance questioned.

"I don't know." Shiro sighed and placed the rose inside the box. "I haven't thought about him while we were in space, I had bigger things to worry about, like keeping you guys safe. I thought about Adam occasionally and what he could be doing. Every time thought I assumed he had moved on. But I got here to find that he might not of moved on. So I come here every day to try and find closer."

Lance didn't say anything, he had no clue how to respond to this... how do you respond to this?

"But what are you doing in here Lance? I don't remember you loosing anyone." Shiro asked.

"Oh umm... I was getting teased by Pidge, Matt and Hunk, so I ran off and got lost and found my way here." Lance looked to the side.

"What were they teasing you about?" Shiro asked him.

"It's nothing...." Lance whispered.

"Really? Cause it seems like something is bothering you."

"They think Allura is just using me as a rebound. It's stupid, cause it's not true." Lance said. "It just hurts to even think of that as a possibility, cause Pidge is right most of the time and I don't want her to be right this time. I want Allura, I want her to be mine, I've had a crush on her since I laid eyes on her."

"Well sometimes what you want isn't necessarily what you get." Shiro said after a moment of silence.

"What do you mean?" Lance looked over to him.

Shiro pushes back in the Adam's box. "I never thought I would want to marry my best friend, but I realized he was the one I needed in my life and I loved him. That's why I'm having a hard time accepting that he is gone. He was the right one. And you don't know, Allura may not be the right one."

"No Allura is the right person, I am not a rebound. I am going to marry her and everything is going to be fine." Lance tried to object.

"I think you aren't looking at the right person... you may know who you want Lance but do you know who you need?"

"Who I need?" Lance questioned. "I need Allura I want Allura. Allura is all I have ever needed..."

"Well If you really do think that, then you know what to do." Shiro sighed and looked down. "And if you ever want to talk. I am usually here or working."

"Thanks for the talk Shiro. I should be heading back. I am meeting Allura to take her out for snowcones."

"Have fun Lance." Shiro smiled

———————————————————
Hey Princess." Lance said as he walked up to Allura, she was doing some research on the Altean that showed up suddenly. "You ready for snow cones?"

"Yes. I can't wait to try this earth treat. And you said it was only in the summer months?" Allura put down her stuff and grabbed her small purse.

"Yes, because they are cold nobody wants to eat them when it's warm out." Lance laughed and took her hand leading her towards the exit of the garrison.

"Hey. Peanut." A familiar voice called from behind Lance, he hadn't heard that nickname in years.... not since his first year here, when he was the smallest in the class.

"Hello James." Lance groaned softly as he turned around. "What do you want? Can't you see I'm on a date?"

"Really? That's a shocker." James said, the sarcasm dripping from his voice. "How many girls have you made out with now Lance? Including this one? Was it 100? 200?"

"James stop." Lance snapped at him, getting a bit angry.

"Oh peanut, you know I'm just teasing." James laughed.

"Quit calling me that, I'm taller then you now."

"Certainly doesn't make you more of a man." James said. "But I'm not here to tease you, no matter how fun and easy it may be. I'm looking for Keith, where is he?"

"Why are you looking for Keith?" Lance asked, he remembered from his childhood that James had always been a snarky bully, he wasn't as bad as he was in their youth, but still...

"He and I have business." James said. "It's personal."

"Listen, I'm not going to tell you where he is if you are just going to hurt Keith like you always do." Lance said, remembering how Keith was James number one target, Lance couldn't even imagine all the things James did to Keith. Lance alone felt overwhelmed when James called him Peanut for being small.

"I am not going to do or say anything to Keith. It's Garrison business, for captains only, which you are not." James said. "Now where is he? It's urgent."

"He is..." Lance debated on whether or not to give Keith's location away. "He is on a date with Axca. I think he is busy. They are sparring together, and by the looks of it they are having a good time."

"Thank you... peanut." James said and turned to leave.

"Jerk." Lance whispered under his breath as he turned as well, grabbing Allura's hand again.

"Lance are you alright?" Allura asked.

"Yeah I'm fine. Let's go get those snow ones now." Lance smiled a fake smile.
———————————————————————

Keith was walking down the hall, just trying to ignore these feeling Axca had put in him. How could she like him? That's just disgusting, Love was disgusting... why couldn't they just spar and be done.

"Keith." James said as he walked over to him. "Thought you were with Axca."

Keith looked up as James approached. "I was, I gave her your number. A deal is a deal. Now give me back my book."

"Did she say she would call me?" James asked.

"No."

"Did she seem happy when you told her I liked her?"

"I... I didn't tell her that, I didn't know I was suppose to. I texted you and told you we were sparring and to come, you are the one who didn't show up. I don't think she likes jerks like you anyways. Now I kept my part of the deal, give me back my book."

"Actually... I think I'll hold onto it a little while longer. And if Axca doesn't like me, then who does she like, loverboy Lance?"

Keith didn't said anything, just keeping a sharp glare on James. "Oh..." James cooed. "It's you she likes?"

"James I don't like her like that." Keith quickly said. "And if you like her so much, then you go ask her out!"

"Actually... I think I will hold onto this book a while longer." James chuckled.

"James, we had a deal!" Keith shoved him back.

"Oh, getting violent now? Well look around Keith. I have made friends over these past few years, friends who can spread information like a wildfire, wouldn't want your secret to be the next one to burn right?"

Keith clenched his fist, stopping himself from doing anything to James. "James Please. I've done everything you asked."

"Obviously you didn't don't right or else I would have Axca." James snapped, and walked past him, shoving his shoulder as he did so. "We shall see how I feel about what you did Keith.... we shall see."

Keith's heart dropped. He just watched James walk away. Then Keith ran, he just started running, he needed to talk to someone, anyone. Heck, he would even talk to annoying Lance right now if he could. But luckily he ran into the one place he needed to be the most. The graveyard room.

Sitting on the ground was the one person he needed most. Shiro.

"Shiro." Keith ran over to him and fell at his knees before him and just hugged him.

"Keith! Keith what are you doing here?" Shiro asked.

"James... it's James. He... I..." Keith stuttered to say anything.

"Calm down Keith." Shiro said. "Just deep breaths, and then tell me."

Keith pulled away and took two deep breaths. "I have this notebook from my first years at the Garrison. I forgot I had it until now, but now James has it and he is threatening me to release all my secrets to the school if I don't get Axca to date him. But I tried to do that but Axca just basically confessed she likes me and not him, but I DO NOT like her... it's all just a mess."

"Keith. Come on." Shiro stood up. "Let's go get your notebook back."

"Shiro you don't have to do this..."

"Yes I do." Shiro said. "I am an officer, he has to listen to me."

Keith smiled. "Thank Shiro."
——————————————————-
Keith was walking down the hallway with Shiro when he felt his phone buzz in his pocket. When he pulled it out to see what it was... his heart dropped and he stopped walking.

"Keith, what's wrong." Shiro said when he noticed Keith wasn't with him.

Keith couldn't find the words to speak. Pidge had texted him: 'Hey is this a joke or some glitch or does this diary not belong to you... it says your name and it's all over the school blog'

"Shiro... it's too late..." Keith said. "James... he already put it out there... everyone can see it and he probably emailed it to people and texted them parts... it's everywhere."

"Keith come on it can't be that bad, it's from when you were a child." Shiro tried to comfort him.

"You don't understand Shiro. That journal is the only thing I have that's personal. All the pictures I have of me and my dad are gone, all of his journals and his letters, and the letters from my mom. Everything I had was gone before I came here and that journal I made for myself... it had my deepest darkest secrets in it. Everything about me and all my thoughts and feelings are in that journal."

"Keith, we will get the school website to take it down." Shirt put his hand on his shoulder, Keith just hit his hand away.

"It's already done Shiro... I... I can't be here anymore." Keith said and turn and ran off down the hallway.

"Keith wait!" Shiro yelled, but he let Keith run, knowing he wanted to be alone.

Shiro checked the blog to see if it really was true. It was. Every page was scanned and put on the blog, Keith was right about it having his secrets.

Shiro had to admit that he immediately sat down and went to read the entire thing. He could barely make it through the first few pages. Keith talked about family visiting day, and how since he didn't have a family nobody came for him, and how everyone else had a family but him.
Then he wrote about how Shiro came up to him and took him on a ride through the desert on hover bikes. Shiro almost felt like family for him in that moment.
He talked about how his dad died, and how his mom abandoned him.
There was a lot of depression in these pages, on how he just wanted to fly into space and be alone in the darkness forever, away from the others here are the garrison that made fun of him. He said the only person he would want with him in space would be Shiro, and maybe Adam.
Keith drew a lot of pictures of knives in the pages, knives and wolves... those must of been his two favorite things. He even said in the pages that he tried to draw a wolf running on his arm, but it didn't turn out so well and it smudged all over his arm.

Shiro mostly know about all of these, because Keith had told him about everything, they were quite close. But he could see why Keith wouldn't want the entire garrison knowing this. But there was one detail Shiro came across that he was absolutely shocked by, and this was probably the detail Keith didn't want to world knowing.

He had a major secret...
——————————————————————

"Mmmm.... coconut and strawberry do taste amazing." Allura said. "Who knew ice and colors would taste so good?"

"Told you it's not weird, I'll have to introduce you to burritos, those you will find weird. We take stuff and roll it all up and eat it."

"Earth is so different, we have been here for almost a month and it's all still amazes me, there is so much variety." Allura smiles and the two slipped their hands into each other as they walked back to the garrison.

Suddenly Lance's phone went off. Lance frowned, giving himself a mental slap for not turning it off for their date. He let go of her hand and pulled he phone out to answer it. "Hello this is Lance." He said.

"Lance!" Pidge was on the other end. "You will never believe that online!"

"Pidge I am on a date." Lance said.

"Dude, it's about Keith, this is huge stuff, I don't know who got this information or how they released it, but it looks legit. Keith apparently had a journal... it's quite personal but it's all over the school, everyone is reading and I'm not sure where Keith is, Hunk and Matt are trying to find him. I managed to get it taken down off the blog, but people must of gotten more snapshots, it's spreading like wildfire. We need your help."

"What? How on earth can I help?" Lance questioned.

"Ummm.... I don't know yet, just if you see Keith call Hunk please. He is probably very upset about this. It's personal stuff too... you wouldn't believe it." Pidge said.

"Okay, Okay, I'll call if I see him." Lance said and hung up. "So anyways, apparently Keith had a diary and the entire school is reading it."

"Isn't that a bit personal?" Allura questioned. "We should try and help him."

"Ugh... of course Keith has to ruin our date too." Lance grumbled, taking a bite of his snowcone.

"Ah Lance, don't be all grumpy, we can watch some movies tonight if you want." Allura suggested, blushing lightly, she enjoyed last time they watched movies when they cuddled the entire night.

"Sounds great to me." Lance smiled, the memory sent happy thoughts through his body, calming and relaxing him. He couldn't wait!

————————————————————————
"Keith! Keith!" Pidge yelled into each room as she went down the hallway. "Keith you in here?"

A hallway down, Lance was doing the same. "Keith buddy? Where are you?"

"Keith!" Allura looked around the cafeteria, she bit her lip, hoping Keith was alright wherever he was. She still didn't even know what happened.

Matt was searching through the training area. "Keith!"

Hunk was searching outside by the hangars, where their lions were. "Keith!" He called, approaching the black lion. "Keith!"
Suddenly the red lion growled, the mouth opened and lowered to the ground. Hunk looked at it, then back at the black lion before approaching the red lion and going inside. "Keith! You in here?"

"Hunk?" A voice said from the dark, a light switched on and Keith was sitting in the chair of the red lion.

"Keith What are you doing in red? Are you alright? We are looking everywhere for you." Hunk approached him.

"Did you not read what James put everywhere?" Keith snapped, he was playing with his little fingerless gloves, pulling at them up and down his fingers:

"Yeah, I did, and so what?" Hunk Said. "You were thirteen Keith, that was a long time ago, I barely even remember being thirteen, all I know is that it was an awful year." He chuckled. "What makes you so upset? All the information in there wasn't exactly a secret, we all know your the lone wolf of the pack, you don't have your father with you, and Shiro is important to you. Pretty soon the entire garrison will forget about it within the week, and it will be like it never happened."

"That's not the part I care about Hunk." Keith huffed, looking to the side. "Did you read the part about him?"

"What part? Keith I didn't read it, I just heard about it. I would never do that to you, that's private stuff." Hunk pulled up a stool to sit beside him.

Keith pulled out his phone and scrolled through the pages and pulled up one and handed his phone to Hunk. "You can see, the entire world knows now. How can I face him?"

"Who the crap is this?" Hunk started reading this.

"Taylor." Keith said. "You know Taylor. He was in our class, he was small cute.... I... I had the biggest crush on him. Never told him, in fact I avoided him and made sure he didn't know how I felt."

"I don't believe there was a Taylor in our class Keith." Hunk said.

"Well maybe you don't remember but I do. He seemed fun, had a lot of friends.... you were his friend."

"I don't remember this." Hunk raised an eyebrow.

"He was best friends with you. You guys did everything together and you were on the same squad. The first day of flight simulation o thought he was figuring out about my crush so I crashed my craft into his to throw him off. Then when we ran I always made sure to run faster then him."

"Keith, you are just awful at flirting..."

"I wasn't flirting. I wished I didn't have a crush... but I did." Keith huffed. "So I wrote my anger out in this book."

"Yeah, maybe you just imagined Taylor? Cause there is no Taylor." Hunk chuckled.

"Taylor McClain." Keith said.

"Is He some brother of Lance?" Hunk raised an eyebrow.

"Maybe..." Keith sighed. "You know Taylor, he always said 'you can call me Taylor because of how I thread the needle.' I never understood what he meant by that."

Hunk's eyes widened... he connected the dots. "Keith.... maybe you should go talk to Shiro about Taylor. Does he know?"

"No. Nobody did." Keith said. "Now everyone knows."

"Yeah, you should go talk to Shiro." Hunk said. "I'll call him. He will know what to do..."

"Is this because Shiro likes Adam and I liked Taylor? Seriously?" Keith said. "Well I don't anymore, I don't even know where he is now..."

"Oh I think you know him better then you wish to." Hunk said and texted the group chat. "Found him. Being Shiro."
———————————————————
"Keith!" Lance called as he walked down the hallway, glancing into a room he saw Shiro, who was reading a notebook that was red.

"Adam. How do I even begin to help Keith with this?" Shiro said out-loud. "This is deep personal stuff, and it's not like I can just erase it from everyone's minds. Also this whole thing about Taylor. I don't know who that is, I don't remember him from when I taught with you. If only you were still here to help me.... I need you...." Shiro sighed.

"Shiro?" Lance said as he stood at the doorway.

"Lance!" Shiro stood up. "What are you doing here?"

"Is that the notebook that James stole from Keith?" Lance questioned.

Shiro looked down at it in his hands. "Yes it is. I got it back from James and stole the pictures he had of it. Have you seen it? Are people still spreading it?"

"I haven't read it. Pidge was the only who who actually read it. We are trying to find Keith, he is missing."

"I wouldn't blame him. Hey you don't happen to know a Taylor do you? He has the same last name as you do." He showed him a page where Keith had drew the same name over and over over again, some with hearts some without, one even had a Taylor + Keith.

"I don't know a Taylor... I don't think I've ever meet a Taylor." Lance says.

"It says Taylor McClain." Shiro said. "It's weird because Keith never mentioned to me a Taylor... like ever."

"You wouldn't happen to know where Keith is? This search interrupted my date with Allura." Lance chuckled. "I would like to continue that, it was going very very well."

"I don't—" Shiro started to say, but then their phones beeped, it was Hunk texting them: Found him! Being Shiro!

"Oh good, Keith is alright." Lance sighed. "Now I can get back to my date."

"Lance maybe you should come too." Shiro suggested.

"Why?"

"Cause you are his friend, you should be there for him." Shiro said. "It is the right thing to do, he is going through a tough patch and maybe you can help support him."

"I guess that's fine. Allura will probably be there anyways. Hunk is in the hangars. Let's go." Lance said.

"Okay." Shiro stood up. He pressed his fingers to his lips then to the brick that had Adam's name on it.

"Do you regret it?" Lance asked out of the blue.

"How I ended things with Adam, without talking to him, or saying goodbye?" Shiro said as he looked at Adam then looked at Lance. "Yeah, I do all the time."

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't of..." Lance began

"It's alright." Shiro interrupted. "Don't Be Sorry. Just, always make sure you talk with those around you, before it's too late."
___________________________

Keith has come out of the lion and sat on some boxes, just looking away from the rest of the team, staring at nothing in particular. He thought that his friends probably hated him now, judging him for everything that was written in that journal.

"Keith." Shiro said as he arrived.

Keith looked up at his life long friend, then looked back away without another word.

"He won't talk to any of us Shiro," Pidge said in a whisper.

"I'll talk to him. You guys just give us some space." Shiro said back and walked over and sat by Keith.
———————————————————————-

Lance has followed close behind Shiro, and watched as he walked over to sit by Keith. Shiro would surely figure out a way to make everything alright. Which meant the problem was basically fixed.

"So Allura," Lance said. "Wanna get back to that date we were having." He smirked slightly.

"Shouldn't we stay with Keith?" Allura said.

"Shiro gots it handled, and honestly Keith doesn't like me, or you, anyways. He wants us to leave, trust me."

"Okay... guess we will see you guys around..." Allura said as she took Lance's hand and left with him.

After they had left, Hunk cleared his throat. "So now that they are gone, can we announce the elephant in the room?"

"What elephant in the room?" Matt asked.

"That Keith is in love with Lance!" Pidge said a little too loud.

"What! Who said anything about me loving Lance?" Keith stood up, a bit of anger showed on his face as he looked at the three of them.

"Umm your Diary. Literally I felt like vomiting, it was so lovey-dovy!" Pidge said

"I don't like Lance." Keith snapped

"Dude, Taylor is Lance." Hunk said.

"No, Taylor is a different person." Keith argued. "I can't stand Lance, why on earth would I like him if I can't stand him? I thought you guys were suppose to be smart."

Shiro meanwhile was finding it hard to contain his laughter and let a bit slip.

"Shiro, you believe these idiots?" Keith crosses his arms. "Wow real supportive."

"Keith, I was your teacher. There was no Taylor in the class." Shiro said. "There wasn't even a Taylor here at the garrison."

"Yeah..." Keith said. "There was... he said everyone called him Taylor..."

"Tailor." Pidge corrected him.

"That's what I said." Keith argues.

"Keith." Shiro put a hand on his shoulder. "You don't have to deny it, just because Lance is dating Allura it doesn't mean you can't like him as well."

"I don't like Lance!!" Keith pushes his arm away. "I would never ever in my life like Lance. He is annoying, and a stupid idiot who flirts with everything and everyone and I will never like an outgoing egotistic person like that."

Keith panted softly after that huge sentence. Everyone was silent as they watched him just breath. Well at least it was obvious Keith did not like Lance.

"Forget about it..." Keith said. "I was 12, and I was young and stupid back then. None of that matters now. It was just a foolish first crush." He walked past them and out of the hanger.
—————————————————————

Lance ran his fingers through Allura's hair as they cuddled on her couch.

"Did you ever like anyone before me Lance?" Allura asked.

"No way princess." Lance said.

"I think your lying Lance." Allura looked up to him. "You said we should be honest with eachother. I was honest with you about Lotor."

"Okay, well there was the mermaids." Lance started, then Counted on his fingers. "And like 7 more I had crushes on, but none of them compare to you." He smiled and kissed her hand.

"Who was your last crush, before me?" She asked.

"Why does that matter?" Lance asked.

"I just want to know." Allura said. "You hardly tell me anything about your past hardships and past feelings. You only tell me the goofy things." She brushes his cheek with her finger.

"Well.... it was the first time I ever felt love in a long time. I didn't receive it was love until.... until I wasn't loved back." Lance said and looked down and paused for a long time. "But none of that matters now. I have moved on and now you are the only one I have eyes for Princess." He smiled.

She laughed and snuggled up to him, he wrapped a blanket around her and they cuddled all night long.

————————————————————————

Keith breathes heavily, he looked down into the sink, some tears feel down the drain. He was angry at himself, he was angry at Lance, at Pidge, at Shiro, at everyone. He did not want to relive his past. That's why it is the past.

His body trembled all over. There was no way Taylor was Lance.... but now that Keith thought about it... they had the same smile, the same outgoing personality, the same desire to be the best no matter what.

They were the same.

He was in love with Lance, or well.... he use to be.... maybe.

He slammed his fist against the sink, making a loud sound. He was frustrated, he ran his fingers through his hair and looked up into the mirror to see his reflection.... it was so foreign to him. He gasped and stumbled back and looked at himself, his jaw dropped because he had yellow eyes instead of his violet ones.

He blinked... and they were gone.

—————————————————

Keith stared at himself in the mirror. He could of sworn he saw galra eyes for just a split second there. He blinked a few times but nothing happened, it must of just been his imagination.

But anyways, he had to move on from all this. Taylor turned out to be Lance, no wonder Keith couldn't find Taylor anywhere when they got back....

But Lance was so so out of the picture, no way in quiznak that was happening, besides that was just a childhood crush. Kids have crushes, those crushes don't turn into boyfriends anyways...

Keith stared at his reflection, his hair had grown long and past his shoulders. He looked different then he last remembered, his face had matured too, he looked less like a child and more like a man. He ran a finger along the scar on his cheek before looking back down into the broken sink.

"It's not like I like Lance anymore. Kids have their crushes, and then men... have boyfriends." He said softly to himself. He turned away from his reflection. Maybe he just didn't belong with anyone. Maybe he was never meant to be with anyone.

"Men.... I am a man." Keith said softly. "And men get boyfriends." He repeated himself. There was one that had been on his mind since he was 16... his second crush.

Keith quickly walked out of the room. "So I will get a boyfriend." He said to himself, grabbing his jacket and rushing out to go get himself a boyfriend. It was about time.

————————————————————————

Shiro was at Adam's grave.... again. This is where he spend the majority of his time now. He just couldn't feel closure yet. He was expecting Adam every time he walked into the apartment, he expected his warm home cooked meals, he expected the nagging and he expected the late night kisses... none of that was here now.

"Shiro...." Keith said as he walked into the room. "I'm not bothering you am I?"

"No. I'm always happy to see you Keith." Shiro said. "How'd your Lance situation work out?"

"It means nothing Shiro. But that's what in here about. Kids have crushes but men have boyfriends."

"And?" Shiro questioned

"I'm not a child anymore Shiro. I'm an adult... I've always had a crush on you—"

"I'm stopping you right there Keith." Shiro said, not sounding thrilled. "Keith, you cant just date me just for the heck of dating me."

"That's not—"

"I'm not finished." Shiro said. "Keith, you are like a brother to me."

"And you don't love your brother?" Keith said.

"Keith I'm sorry. But my heart will always belong to Adam."

Keith stood there in front of his second crush. He didn't know what else to do now. "Can.... screw it..." Keith mumbled and quickly grabbed Shiro's cheek and kissed him.

"Keith!" Shiro pushed him off him.

"Keith....." Another voice said. At the doorway was Lance. Lance, standing there in his blue uniform, hurt in his eyes as he stared at the scene in front of him. Lance quickly turned and left as fast as he had come.

"Keith. This will never happen. Please go." Shiro snapped at Keith.

Keith's eyes dropped. He bit his lower lip before quickly turned and leaving his second crush with his dead fiancé.

So much for love.

———————————————

"Lance checking in." Lance said as he got into the red lion

"Pidge checking in," Pidge said.

"Hunk checking in." Hunk said.

"Great. You guys ready for my obstacle course?" Matt said. "I made this one real difficult. Bet you can't fight your way through a computer to destroy viruses."

"What type of an exercise is that!!" Lance argued. "That's not realistic!"

"Neither is your relationship with Allura, but here you are." Pidge teased.

"Hey, Allura and I are real happy together." Lance argued.

"I totally think she would still choose Lotor over you." Pidge said

"She would not!!" Lance yelled

"I'm gonna have to side with Pidge on this bet." Hunk said.

"No way!!" Lance said.

"Guys guys guys. Stop arguing. Let's play my simulation." Matt said

"Fine." Pidge rolled her eyes. "Let's get started."

————————————————————————

They totally failed Matt's test.

"Well I'm sorry I've never been in a computer before." Lance huffed

"That was a hard simulation." Pidge said. "Took a lot of math in my brain to even figure out what was happening."

"I'm going to make a better one for next week." Matt said

"Wait do you can make a simulation for any scenario?" Pidge asked

"Yeah. Got one in mind?" Matt asked.

"Actually yes." Pidge said. "Let's put our little bet to the test. Let's see if there really is anything there Lance."

"What do you mean?" Lance questioned

"Let's make a simulation," Pidge said. "Where Allura will face a sexy Lotor and let's see if she kissed him or kills him."

"That's stupid!" Lance said. "She would obviously punch him in the face."

"You think so?" Pidge raised an eyebrow. "Why not put it to the test then?"

"Totally! I demand 20 bucks if I win." Lance said

"Deal." Pidge shook Lance's hand.

———————————————————————

Allura walked into the courtyard. Pidge had texted her to come quickly.

"Pidge? Lance?" Allura looked around. "Hello?"

"Hello Allura." Said an all too familiar voice

Allura quickly turned around and Lotor was right there, less then a foot away from her.

"Lotor." Allura said, looking up at him. "How did you get here? You are dead!!"

"That's what I wanted everyone to think. Allura I faked my death. I didn't want to have to split my time anymore between the empire and you."

"What are you talking about? You are lying!!" Allura said taking a step back, Lotor caught her arm in his hand and pulled her closer.

"I'm not." Lotor said. "I love you Allura."

Allura looked up to him. She was speechless. He ran a hand on her cheek and pulled her up to his lips.

He kissed her. She found herself kissing back. They kissed for probably ten seconds before she stumbled forward and Lotor disappeared in her finger, like a hologram.

"Lotor." She spun around, looking for him.

Behind her was a very very hurt Lance. His eyes were glossy with tears.

"Lance Wait, I can explain. That wasn't Lotor!" Allura tried to say but Lance just quickly turned and ran off.

"I.... I wasn't expecting that...." Pidge said softly from the control room.

"Lance!!" Allura was now crying as she stood there, alone.

———————————————————————

Lance ran down the hallway. He didn't want to believe that Allura would betray him like that. He didn't want to believe his eyes. He didn't want to admit Pidge, Hunk, and Matt were all right about this. His relationship was never real. Not to her. It wasn't real to her.

He couldn't talk to Pidge, or to Hunk.... he couldn't talk to Veronica about this, she wouldn't understand.

'Hey Lance.' A memory clicked in his head. 'Leave the math to Pidge.' Lance remembered how down he felt at that moment.... why he choose to talk to Keith was beyond reason in his mind. But once again he find himself at Keith's room. He knocked on the door before entering.

"Hey Keith?" He said as he walked in, he looked around, nobody was in the room.

He checked the training room, nothing, finally he thought his rival might be with Shiro, and Shiro would be with Adam.

Lance walked to the memorial room. "Keith..." He said a bit loud as he walked in. He gasped and his eyes widened. Keith was kissing Shiro. Keith was KISSING Shiro.

Lance just stared at the scene in front of him for a moment. He blinked once and felt a tear slip down his cheek, he quickly turned and left.

Guess he will always be a seventh wheel in some way or another.

"Lance....." Shiro said as he went after the runaway Lance.

"It's fine Shiro, I won't tell anyone." Lance said

"Lance. Stop." Shiro said, and Lance did and turn around.

"Look I don't care what you and Keith were doing I was just looking for someone to talk to."

"Yeah, I know... how about we talk. Let's go to my room." Shiro said. "I'll make ya some good food."

"Shiro you can't cook." Lance said.

"Fine, I will microwave some food I stole from the cafeteria." Shiro corrected himself with a chuckle and they went and did just that. "So please talk, I could see the hurt in your eyes from a mile away, what happened?"

"Allura and I are done." Lance said quietly as he looked at the soup in front of him.

"What do you mean?" Shiro asked

"We are done. Pidge was teasing me that Allura didn't love me and I said she did and so we did this stupid simulation.... and well.... her true colors showed."

"Oh my... Lance... I'm so sorry buddy." Shiro put an arm on his shoulder. "There has been so many broken hearts lately."

"Why am I so bad at love Shiro. Everything I do... I'm terrible." Lance said.

"Love isn't easy." Shiro said. "It's not suppose to be. Love is caring about about someone beyond all rationality and wanting them to have everything they want and be happy no matter how much it hurts you. When you love someone you never stop loving them Lance. Ever. I dated countless people before I finally figured out that Adam was the right one for me. It took me years of know Adam to figure out that he was the one. People will roll their eyes and call you crazy but nothing can stop you from loving them. It wouldn't be love if you could just move on Lance."

"I guess I just wanted Allura to be mine. She was pretty. But your right, it's not love." Lance said. "Thank you Shiro... you can always say the right things. Well you and Keith, I guess are the only ones who have really ever cheered me up before."

"Lance, don't let this way you down. You are an amazing person, and there will be someone out there who will see you for that."

"Guessing that's this whole soul mate thing you been preaching about." Lance chuckled. "Guessing I'll see how amazing they are too. You think I've meet them yet?"

"Maybe." Shiro shrugged. "You never know what the universe will throw at you."

"Come with me Axca." Keith snapped as he passed her in the hallway.

"Keith? What's wrong?" She followed him.

"We are sparring. Don't talk with me... I need to fight something." Keith pulled out his black sword.

"Keith, I don't think you are in the right state of mind to be—" Axca started

"Don't tell me what to do!" Keith snapped as he turned around to face her, being inches from her face. She gasped when she saw him.... cause his eyes were yellow.

—————————————
"Again." Keith snapped, holding his galra blade up

"Keith I am exhausted." Axca said. "Can't we rest?"

"Thought this is what you wanted? You wanted to be with me? Huh? Well this is what I say we do then. Let's go again."

"You will just beat me." Axca panted as she stood up. "There isn't a point. Screw all this. I'm going home. I thought you were different Keith.... but I think you need to talk to someone who can get you some help."

"We are not done sparing!" Keith tried to run after her, but she was a much faster runner and made it to the exit first.

Keith stood in the doorway, alone, letting her go. "Fine.... be that way." He snapped to himself as he looked down at the blade in his hands before turning to the exit.

Once out of the building he went over to his bike and put on his helmet before racing off. He needed to be alone, and the wind running through his long hair relaxed him. He breathed in the warm air around him as he made his way to a spot where he had only been a few times in his life.... his father's gravestone.

Shiro had texted everyone and suggested ice cream. Only Lance, Pidge and Hunk responded, saying they were in.

So the four went out for ice cream, sitting in the garrison lounge area as they ate. Shiro knew this would make Lance feel better.

"Hey... there you guys are." Axca ran up to them panting

"Axca, what's wrong?" Lance asked.

"It's Keith, something is wrong with him. He is crazy."

"How is that any different then normal?" Lance said as he took a big spoonful.

"See your point, but that's not the point. His eyes, they turned yellow." Axca said. "He wasn't acting like himself. I think something is wrong with him. Do humans get sicknesses that cause this? I haven't seen anything like this with the galra."

"Wait, hold up. His eyes turned yellow?" Shiro said. "I... I remember that. That happened when my evil clone was fighting him."

"So he gets yellow eyes when he turns angry, just like how Banner turns green?" Hunk shrugged

"I don't think his eyes are suppose to turn yellow." Shiro said. "Let me ask Krolia." Shiro pulled out his phone to text her.

"Where is Keith?" Lance asked. "Maybe I should go find him. Talk with him, see if he is sick or something?"

"That sounds like a good idea Lance." Shiro agreed. "I'll talk with Krolia. You find Keith."

"He was in the training room, going nuts with his sword." Axca said.

"Well better get my bayard. He might need an opponent to help him get out his energy." Lance chuckled.

"Do you want us to come with you?" Pidge asked. "I mean, more of us might be able to help more. He had been going through a lot lately..."

"And isn't this the day his father died?" Hunk said, and everyone went silent.

"Where is his Dad's grave?" Lance asked.

"Just outside the garrison." Shiro said.

"I'll drive him there. He might just need some time there." Lance said, he threw away his cup before walking off to go grab some keys and find Keith.

"Keith? Buddy where are you?" Lance called into the training room. Lance looked around but couldn't find Keith anywhere. He looked in every room in that hallway till he reached the outside door. Lance sighed, he couldn't find him anywhere. He sat down on the steps and looked out across the desert, then he noticed one thing. Keith's bike was gone. That's it! He must of already left. Lance ran to the dock bay and borrowed a bike before racing off after his buddy.

"Keith!" Lance called when he arrived at the gravesite area. Lance's phone range in his pocket and he took it out and answered it. "Hello?"

"Lance, just got off the phone with Krolia." Shiro said. "She said that this might have something to do with Keith being part Galra."

"What do you mean? He is like turning Galra or something?" Lance asked as he walked around the graveyard.

"Krolia said Hybrids can have emotional problems... I'm guessing that's how Lotor went mad, it was his emotions and the quintessence that got him. Krolia informed me that Kieth is sensitive to quintessence and his Galra side may be acting up because of all the emotional stress he has been under."

"So his childhood diary got exposed, big deal?" Lance said. "I don't see how something like that would do anything? We have been under more emotional stress in space—"

"Lance That diary revealed to the world his crush. Everyone knows who he liked." Shiro said. "Please be sensitive."

"Okay okay I will." Lance said. "Who was it anyways?"

"You don't need to know that." Shiro said.

"Well everyone else knows, why can't I?" Lance asked

"It's not going to be me that tells you Lance." Shiro said.

"Why are you guys keeping this a secret from me?" Lance questioned. "Everyone knows Shiro! Pidge, Hunk, Axca, James, Matt, even you, why can't I know? What is it me or something?" He chuckled.

Shiro was quiet on the other end.

"Oh my gosh.... it's me." Lance said.

"Lance—" Shiro began to say.

"It's me Shiro, that's why you don't want me to know."

"It was all in the past," Shiro tried to explain. "He doesn't—"

"Nobody just gets over Lance McClain." Lance said, he spotted that mullet from 20 feet away and started to walk over to Keith. "Believe me Shiro, I got a lot of crazy ex girlfriends. But... Shiro Wait, I don't like guys. That's weird."

"Seriously Lance." Shiro groaned.

"Oh gezzz! Sorry! I didn't mean you were weird Shiro! I found Keith." Lance changed the subject. "I'm at the gravesite, please come join us. He doesn't look alright...."

Lance approached Keith as he hung up the phone. Keith was wearing all black and had his sword in his hands, he was staring down at it as he knelt in front of his father's gravestone

"Hey man....." Lance said as he walked over to Keith.
