context for anyone who wants it:

Freefall is about a girl 17-19 (haven't decided on an age for anyone, but they're all this range) who comes from money on her father's side. She moves back to her hometown with a friend because she wants to go home, and upon moving back she reconnects with her mom's family and old friends.

One old friend is like another brother to her and everything between them is platonic while another one is more platonic/romantic (anyone who's read my stuff knows I'm obsessed with friends to lovers). These are just the main two friends (no love triangle, and if you say there is: leave). Over course of the summer, she and the love interest grow close and start dating.

The novel as a whole will probably span the course of a year.

This is a romance-ish novel, but not a 100% just romance novel. This novel is also about friendship, unrequited and requited crushes, Nice Guys™️, sex, romance (yes, they're separate things), grief, and feminism.

(Feminism is the radical idea that all humans are equal to another, and no one is superior or inferior based on their gender orientation, sex, sexual orientation, romantic orientation [yes, those are different things], race, religion, any form of disability [mental, physical, emotional, etc] or lack of, and so on.)
