Retaliation

~21:13~

Jimin feels numb.

He sits in the hospital chair, staring at the ground with red, puffy eyes. If someone were to talk to him right now, they'd assume he was on drugs. The entire world feels lifeless as he sits there, right outside her room, waiting for an update. He's been in the dark this whole damn time. Jimin just wants to know two things. Is she alive, and what the hell happened? Everything was going so well and then boom. Everything changed.

He sniffles, placing his face in his hands. Jimin needs to comm the crew to tell them, but he hasn't had the strength to. For now, he's just sitting and surprisingly, he's praying. Despite not being religious, he's praying that whatever is watching over them saves his fiancée. The last thing he needs is for her to... for her to... fucking hell, he can't even think it. If something happens to her, how would he even begin to cope?

Fuck this. Fuck all this. He just fucking proposed, and now she's hospitalized from something he doesn't even know of yet. It's been a long time now, which doesn't make him feel any better. Okay, maybe it makes him feel slightly better. She stopped breathing at the house. If she was dead, that wouldn't take long to find out. This must be once intense battle, and he's praying that they win.

After a few more minutes of waiting, the door opens. Jimin hops up, staring at the male doctor with fear in his eyes. "She's stable." Jimin falls back down into his chair again, crying softly. He covers his face with his hands, relief swelling through his body.

"W-What happened?" he whisper-asks, his voice cracking.

"Come with me." Jimin manages to stand, walking into the room and noticing Y/N's body right away.

She's on the bed, hooked up to countless machines and a ventilator. "What the hell happened?" he asks, fearing the answer.

"Poison," the doctor replies, closing the door behind Jimin.

"Poison?" he asks, not fully understanding the meaning.

"She was poisoned by a Martian herb. It's a solid, so it must have been consumed. Can you think of the last time she ate tod-"

"Those bastards," Jimin interrupts, his tone dropping several pitches.

He turns on his heel, preparing to storm out when the doctor calls to him. "Where are you going? I haven't even given you the full report yet." It's that that makes Jimin turn around, sighing while his eyes show his anger.

"Will she live?" Jimin asks in a mutter.

"She'll be okay, we got it mostly out of her system, but we still have to keep fighting. She needs a good three days of rest." Jimin nods, sniffling as he goes back over. His anger is still there, boiling his blood as he sits next to her bed. He grabs her hand, entwining it with his. "You know who did this?" the doctor asks.

"I know exactly who did this," he says. "We went to a meeting with three Martians. They must have poisoned her food..."

The doctor clears his throat. "Is it possible it wasn't them?"

"There was no one else there to do it. Plus, you said yourself, it's a Martian herb."

"That's exactly what I mean. What if someone is framing Mars?"

Jimin lights up at the suggestion. The Martians using a Martian herb seems to obvious. Maybe they really are innocent. Then again, that Emeraude girl seemed hostile as fuck. He wouldn't be surprised if she had something up her sleeve. "I don't know what to think. All I care about is her being okay."

"She's stable and should continue to be stable. You'll want to be by her side when she wakes up, she'll probably be very confused."

He nods. "I'm perfectly fine with that." The doctor seems hesitant, making Jimin confused. "What's wrong?" Jimin asks.

"Do you mind if I call the press?"

"The press? For what?" Jimin asks.

"Publicity on the case. If Mars really is behind this, the people deserve to know. If they can somehow slip poison into her food, hers, one of the most powerful people on Earth? What about the civilians? What if they did something else to another person of power? Or what if they slipped something into the water supply? This might not be a one time thing."

As much as he hates to admit it, the doctor's right. If raising awareness can save even one life, it's worth it. "Alright, go ahead. Tell them Park Jimin is willing to give a statement."

"Yes sir." He trots away, leaving Jimin alone with Y/N. He stares at her face, holding her hand tightly. He can't help but notice the engagement ring shining in the pale lighting of the place. It's absolutely beautiful. She's beautiful. All of her.

"Wake up for me, baby. Please," he mutters, sniffling again. "I love you so much, princess. We have so much more to do. We have a wedding to plan, remember? A whole wedding." He waits for a few moments, letting the words hang in the air. When he realizes he's not getting a response, his lower lip quivers. More tears fall down his cheeks as he brings her hand to his lips, softly kissing the skin there.

"I love you. Please fight," he whispers, whimpering. "Please fight for me."

~21:25~

Jungkook laughs, dancing with Tae in the kitchen. "Dance off?" Taehyung asks.

"Oh you know it," Jungkook teases, showing off his perfect body control.

Tae lets out a low whistle. "Damn boy, you hit those moves."

"Okay okay, but let's move this to the living room. I'll play music on the TV," Jungkook says. Taehyung nods in agreement, giggling as he leads the way out of the kitchen.

They reach the living room, Jungkook humming as he grabs the remote and turns the TV on. "What kind of music we feeling tonight? House? Trap? Pop?" Jungkook asks.

"Hot."

Jungkook looks back at Tae. "Hot?"

Tae hums, licking his lower lip. "Take a hot song and get the slowed down version of it. Oh! And don't forget the reverb too! That's important!" Tae says.

"That's literally the best idea you've ever had. I love it!" Jungkook squeals, glancing back at the TV.

He flips through the channels, trying to find something, but it doesn't work. Then, he finds something he didn't know he was looking for. "Breaking news, Y/N L/N has been hospitalized for an unknown reason."

"What?!" Jungkook screams, probably alerting the whole house.

"We're here now with Park Jimin, conducting a live interview. Sandra, if you could take over." The screen switches to the interviewer, the girl holding a mic while Jimin stands next to her.

Oh gosh, he's looked better. His eyes are all red, his skin pale. Clearly he's been crying for a while. "Thank you, Jen. I'm here with Park Jimin, Commander of the Earth military and Captain of the Moonchild. Tell us, what exactly happened?" she asks, pointing the microphone towards him.

"I-I don't know the full story myself. We went to a meeting with Mars - unsuccessful by the way, no progress on any peace treaty - and we ate. We didn't think much of it, but then when we got home, s-she started getting really sick."

He starts to hyperventilate, glancing back at Y/N for a moment. She's laying on her bed, machines practically covering her. "She collapsed and she stopped breathing," he whispers, turning back to the camera.

"Jimin can't catch a break," Tae murmurs, sadness in his tone. Jungkook nods in agreement, leaning closer as other members of the crew walk in. Yeah, they heard Jungkook's scream and came to investigate. How caring.

"The doctor said she's stable but she needs time to recover. She was, uh... poisoned. She was poisoned. We don't know who did it yet and I don't want to jump the gun and point fingers. For now, I'm letting the police handle this while I stay by her side."

The interviewer frowns. "Looks like the situation with Mars isn't getting any better. Is there any good news?"

Jimin dryly chuckles, nodding. "Believe it or not, there is. Well, for me anyway, not for Mars." He points to Y/N. "That's my future wife right there."

The interviewer laughs. "You two are too cute together."

Jimin smiles. "Thank you, but I mean it. I proposed."

The interviewer's mouth falls open. "You proposed?!"

He proudly nods. "Just two days ago. Under the stars. I know, pretty romantic, what can I say?"

"Pfft Jimin. What a cheeky bastard," Taehyung says with a chuckle.

"Look at that beautiful ring on her finger. That's my Mrs. Park right there, treat her well," he says in a teasing tone. The interviewer continues to smile.

"Zoom in on the ring," she says, and the cameraman does. It's beautiful. It sparkles under the crappy lighting of the hospital. Jungkook can't help the smile that spreads across his lips. Jimin and her seem truly happy. That makes Jungkook equally happy. His two best friends, finally getting ready to be together forever. There's something about that that makes Jungkook tear up.

He peers at the screen, admiring Y/N's face. Actually, he knows exactly why he's tearing up. He wasn't sure if he'd be alive for her wedding. Now he's going to see much more than that. The thought makes him smile like an idiot. Will he see their kids? Will Taehyung and Jungkook adopt and have playdates with Jimin and Y/N's kids? That's the dream, isn't it? Have kids, have them play together while the adults hang out. Wouldn't it be cute if their kids fell in love? Oh wow, that would be so cool. A line of kids with the personality of both the Jeon's and the Park's. A generation of ultra horny kids. Actually, maybe that's not such a great idea after all.

"Well on behalf of the entire world, congratulations!" she says.

Jimin nods his thanks. "Thank you so much, it feels good to finally be here. Ten months of a relationship might seem too early, but it's time. We're ready."

"I can see it, you two have been through more than the average couple, that's for sure."

He chuckles. "You can say that again. The ones who handle Jin together, stay together."

"Hey!" Jin's voice shouts. Jungkook and Taehyung burst out laughing, turning to see which members of the crew joined them. Jin, Anya, Sapphire, Baekhyun, and Yoongi are here. So everyone came. Hoseok and Seulgi are in their apartment and Jimin and Y/N are obviously at the hospital. Jungkook's scream attracted everyone to the living room. They have pretty quiet footsteps, Jungkook didn't hear all of them come in, only some.

"I think I love Jimin," Yoongi says. "Roasting Jin on live TV. No wonder why he's our Captain."

"So rude," Jin dramatically says, pouting like a four year old.

"Don't worry, Jin. I'm sure Jimin means well," Taehyung says, but Jin doesn't believe him. Jimin and the interviewer talk for another minute about the proposal, but Jungkook finds his mind wandering. It's hard to keep listening when his best friend is in the hospital.

Jungkook instinctively brushes his other hand over his friendship bracelet, frowning. She still has it on too. Jungkook just wants to go to her and connect their bracelets together, hoping that would bring her back. Tae notices Jungkook's mood and sighs, stepping closer. His hand grabs one of Jungkook's, entwining his fingers with his. "She's going to pull through, okay?" he whispers so only Jungkook can hear.

He lets out a small sigh, then nods. "Thanks Tae. I guess with everything going on, I just wanted a few days off from this madness."

"Everything is crazy, I doubt we'll get a second to breathe until the war ends."

"Who do you uh, who do you think will win?"

Tae's eyes flicker down to the ground for a second, then, they flick back up to Jungkook. "I honestly don't know. I hope us, but odds seem in favor of Mars right now," Tae says.

Jungkook can't argue with that. Of course he hopes they can help Earth win, but if Mars has all these technological advancements, what's the point? "The doctor thinks she'll be good to go in three days. Not sure when she'll wake up, I'm hoping for tomorrow, but who knows. For now, she's stable and resting," Jimin says.

"That's good to hear, I hope she pulls through."

Jimin looks back at her, giving his fiancée a soft look. "She will. She's a fighter, I know she will."

"She's certainly been through worse," the interviewer says with a sad chuckle.

Jungkook frowns, then looks at Tae. "Are you going to go visit her?" Tae asks.

"Not now. Tomorrow. I think Jimin needs some alone time with her."

"Yeah, that and it's getting late. After the day they've had, they might be sleeping by the time we get there," Yoongi says.

"Them or you?" Jin asks.

"You know what? Neither. It'll be you," Yoongi sharply replies. Jin blinks.

"He's going to put you to sleep," Baekhyun clarifies.

"Ohh thanks for the translation." There's a few seconds of silence. "You're going to kill me?!" Jin shouts, finally understanding what Yoongi meant.

Anya sighs. "Why am I dating him? Literally why am I dating him?"

"I'm going to help him of course," Sapphire says, giving Jin a wink.

"Hey, you can't do that! Only Anya can wink at me!"

"I have never once winked at you," Anya replies, confused.

"Great now the two best friends are ganging up on me," Jin says with a whine, looking between Anya and Sapphire.

Tae and Jungkook share a look, then shrug in-sync. "Want to get back to our dance off?" Taehyung asks.

"Oh I would love to. Right in front of them?" Jungkook replies, waggling his eyebrows.

"I have a feeling we're getting kicked out for being too loud."

"We're always too loud," Jungkook says, shaking it off.

"No, that's you, not me!" Tae says in a hiss.

"Nu uh that's all you! 'Yes Mr. Jeon show me how bad I've been'," Jungkook mocks, catching the attention of the rest of the crew.

"Yoongi?"

"Yes dear?"

"Can I kill Jungkook and Tae?" Sapphire asks.

"Of course, I'll get the ditch ready."

"Wait what?!" Tae and Jungkook yelp in-sync.

"At least it's finally not me," Jin murmurs, grumbling to himself as he crosses his arms across his chest. Anya chuckles, comforting her boyfriend while the husbands process Sapphire's words.

"Anyway," Baekhyun says

"You guys might want to leave now," Jungkook says, wrapping an arm around Taehyung's waist.

"Oh come on." "Seriously?" "Why us?" "Can I go home and sleep yet?" "Yoongi you are home you can sleep at any time."

Jungkook and Taehyung giggle, glancing around at their crew with amusement. "No seriously, you should leave, we're going to have a dance off," Jungkook says.

"Dance off or strip off?" Yoongi mumbles.

"Yoongi... you're a motherfucking genius," Jungkook says with a gasp.

Jin turns to Anya. "Can we try that?"

"Wow," she replies, playfully rolling her eyes before walking out.

"I literally have intelligence enhancements," Yoongi replies. Jin follows Anya out, the remaining crew members kind of just blinking at each other.

Taehyung clears his throat. "So uh... orgy?"

"Tae Tae, I love you, but shut up."

"Sorry Yoons."

~The Next Day || 13:02~

"No! You won't get away with this! You killed my family!" Jimin dramatically says, chuckling to himself as he flips the page. "Ohhh that's not fair! To be continued!" He whines, pouting before closing the comic book. "Hope you enjoyed that volume, honey. I certainly did." He grins, gently picking up Y/N's hand and kissing the back of it. Of course, he doesn't get a response, but it's the thought that counts.

"One of my favorites from when I was a kid, I didn't know it had so many volumes," Jimin says, placing the comic book back in his bag. He scoots his chair closer to her, keeping his hand in hers. "How was your day, sweetheart?" he softly asks, smiling and keeping her hand close to his face. He just stays still, sighing. Gosh he wishes she could reply. For now, he'll let his imagination fill in the blanks.

"My day was pretty uneventful. I could bring us the next volume tomorrow, I think I have it somewhere around the house. I want to know what happens next, I don't remember!" Jimin says, pouting again. He thinks for a beat, then lights up. "Remember when you got me a comic book? You know, something I never told you was that I read it every day since you got it. I read it whenever you're not around or sleeping. I don't know why, I must've read it a hundred times by now, but it feels special. It feels more special than the others. I don't know why..." He takes a few moments, staring at her pretty face before going quiet for a second.

"Life is pretty boring with you being unconscious," he says, sighing softly. "I went back to check on Baby this morning. She misses you, you can tell. Not as much as I miss you, but you know, she's up there."

"Not as much as I miss her too."

Jimin yelps, jumping and turning to see Yoongi standing there. "Yoons?" Jimin asks, watching as the man walks in.

"In the flesh. I brought a friend." Baekhyun peeks in, stepping inside the room. "Were you reading a nerdy comic book to her?" Yoongi asks with a sly smile.

"It's not nerdy. it's cool!" Jimin pouts, showing him the book.

"Sorry Capt, I have to agree with Yoongi. Pretty nerdy," Baekhyun says, closing the door behind him.

"Okay, nerdy but cool, how about that?" They look at each other.

"You know what? Sure, we'll humor you," Yoongi says, stepping closer.

The two kneel next to Jimin, staring right at Y/N. "How's my co-pilot doing?" Baekhyun asks, glancing up at Jimin.

"She's stable but hasn't woken up yet. Are the others going to stop by?"

Yoongi nods. "Everyone said they'd come by today, Jungkook and Tae are buying flowers right now I think, so they should be here soon."

Jimin smiles at the thought. "They're such sweethearts. I can't wait to take them for myself since Y/N will never notice."

Baekhyun laughs. "Oh I'm so telling on you."

"Don't you dare, I'll demote you."

Baekhyun frowns. "Wow, thanks."

"To be fair, I'd say the same in his situation," Yoongi says, motioning to Jimin. The Captain smiles, turning his attention back to his girl.

"She looks better than she did last night on TV," Baekhyun says, looking over her skin.

"Yeah, she doesn't have a cold sweat anymore. Progress," Jimin mutters, brushing his thumb across the back of her skin.

"Has Mars made any moves?" Yoongi asks.

"Other than this?" Jimin sarcastically asks back.

"We don't know if it was them. Maybe they were framed."

"That's what the doctor suggested. It makes sense, but at the same time, even if we reach out to ask them, it's not like they'll tell us." Baekhyun and Yoongi somberly nod, looking down. "We'll figure it out. For now, we just have to stay safe," Jimin whispers, closing his eyes for a moment.

"Am I interrupting something?" a female voice asks. Everyone turns to see Sapphire there, a male figure next to her. Jace, that boy from the meeting.

"Jace?" Jimin asks. "What are you doing here?"

"I saw on the news, the whole situation," he says, frowning. "I wanted to stop by, offer my sympathies. I'm so sorry."

"It wasn't your fault, don't apologize."

Jace seems unconvinced. "I was supposed to make sure the two of you were safe. I couldn't even do that right."

Jimin shakes him off. "Poison is hard to detect. It might have been physically inside the steak, you wouldn't know. Don't be too hard on yourself, you did what you could."

"But she's in the hospital," Jace says.

"But she'll be okay," Jimin replies. "And that's what matters the most right now." Although hesitant, Jace sighs and agrees as the pair step inside. Sapphire closes the door, going right over to Yoongi's side.

"Did I miss anything?" she asks, and Yoongi shakes his head.

"Other than Jimin reading a nerdy comic book."

"It's not nerdy!" Jimin says in a whine.

"Let me see," Jace says, and Jimin nods, bringing the book out. "What? The Red Sea? I read this as a kid! It's not nerdy at all, it's cool!" Jace exclaims, his eyes lighting up in excitement.

"Thank you," Jimin says, relieved. "At least someone here has taste. Yoongi over here hasn't seen a movie since like... wait, have you ever even seen a movie?"

"Of course I have, there's a cinema on the Moon, remember?"

"Yeah I just wasn't sure you knew how to use it." Jace lets out a 'pfft', and almost on instinct, Jimin and Jace high five.

"Nice roast," Jace says.

"Have to impress the Martian," Jimin cheekily replies.

Jace looks between the members and chuckles. "You know what I just realized?" he asks, causing the others to raise a brow. "You all have the same look in your eyes."

Baekhyun laughs. "Oh gosh I have something in common with them? Are you serious?"

"Probably a lot more than you'd think."

Baekhyun's phone goes off, making him sigh. "Hang on, it's probably just Twitter again. I should really turn off my notifications."

"Oh yes, the famous Byun Baekhyun's Twitter account," Yoongi says, mocking him ever so slightly.

"Hey! Listen, it's not my fault that Jimin announced his engagement yesterday. Now all I see are people tweeting at me telling me to congratulate the two on their behalf," Baekhyun says.

Jimin whips out his phone. "Oh I so have to get a Twitter."

"Oh no, please don't. Half of Twitter is horny, the other half wants to die," Baekhyun says.

"Or both," Yoongi replies.

"Or both," Baekhyun repeats, nodding.

"Well, I'm both, so I fit in perfectly."

"That's exactly my point!" Baekhyun says with a huff, but Jimin chuckles. He doesn't listen, he quickly downloads Twitter and hums to himself as he does.

Bam, account created. "Hey, Pilot, I'm ordering you to give me a shoutout and follow me," Jimin says.

"You want me to follow you? Are you crazy?" Baekhyun asks in disbelief. Jimin sets his profile picture to a charming picture of him (oh who is he kidding, they're all charming) and makes the background some random meme he likes. "CommanderPark. Really? That's your username?" Baekhyun says, peeking over Jimin's shoulder.

"Well what the fuck else was I supposed to call it?" Jimin replies with a scoff. "Okay, group photo for the first post. Wait, let me do my bio and location before that." He does as he says, typing in a bio and location.

"Oh hell no, I'm not shouting you out with a bio like that," Baekhyun says, scrunching his nose up in disgust.

"Horny for Y/N? What the fuck?" Yoongi asks, looking at his screen.

"It's true! Bio is short for biography! The biography of my life is horny for Y/N!" Jimin says.

Jace and Sapphire share a look, deciding not to comment. "You know what? There's no point arguing. At least your location is actually Binghamton and not something cheesy like 'Y/N's heart'," Baekhyun mumbles.

"You can do that?" Jimin asks in disbelief.

"Oh no-"

"Y/N's pants is a better location, I'm there much more often."

"Jimin can you fucking chill for once?" Yoongi asks with a groan.

"You should already know the answer to that is no. Never." He changes the location, then clears his throat. "Alright gang, squeeze together for a family photo!" Jimin holds the camera up as the crew gathers around behind him, kneeling and throwing peace signs. He snaps the picture, looking over it for approval before going right to posting. "Exciting," Jimin mumbles, typing a small caption.

'Hi all! Park Jimin here! This is my only social media account, any other's that act like me aren't me. Let's be honest, only one person can do Park Jimin right. Me. That's right. I'm that bitch. Anyway, hospital things with the boys and uh... girl. Ignore Sapphire, she's scary'

"That's the worst caption I've ever seen in my life," Sapphire says.

"It's because I roasted you, isn't it?" Jimin teases.

"No it's because you called yourself that bitch," Yoongi says.

"Well I am," Jimin grumbles before posting it. "Ight Baekhyun, I'm following you, I expect to get a follow back." He glances up Baekhyun and snickers. "I'm assuming you're the one with thirty million followers?"

"What can I say? Pilots are attractive," Baekhyun cheekily replies, following Jimin back.

"Shoutout, remember that was an order." Baekhyun groans but obliges, typing out a new post.

'My Captain finally joined the Twitter world. Please don't read his bio. Please'

Baekhyun makes sure to tag Jimin before tweeting it, turning to Jimin with a sigh. "Happy?"

Jimin nods. "Ver-" His phone starts blowing up with notifications. "Jesus, what the hell?"

"Welcome to Twitter," Baekhyun teases, amusement sparkling in his eyes.

"My follower count went to one to one thousand in seconds. What the fuck, how does my picture have fifty likes already?" Jimin asks, his mouth falling open.

Jace chuckles. "You're forgetting that you're famous."

"That's all it takes? Do some good in the universe and I'm famous? Shit, we should do this more often," Jimin jokes, nudging Jace's shoulder.

"Wish I was around for that part, but I was stuck on Mars."

Everyone goes quiet for a few moments. "Do you miss Mars?" Jimin asks the man, who shakes his head.

"Not in the slightest. Being in a dome felt so..."

"Claustrophobic," Sapphire mumbles.

"Yeah, yeah that's exactly it. Martian?"

"Ganymede."

Jace frowns. "I'm so sorry, the domes are almost... taunting us, in a way."

Jimin peers at Y/N and sighs. "I guess you two know what she went through pretty well."

"Very," Sapphire says, looking at the poor unconscious girl with sympathy.

"Where exactly is the crew from?" Jace asks, keeping his eyes on Jimin's fiancée.

"Well, the original four are from Earth. Hoseok, Seulgi, Baekhyun, and me along with Anya even though she's known for her Ganymede stuff. Sapphire and Y/N are from Ganymede. Jungkook is a Martian like you, but he bounced around a lot. Taehyung is our Triton boy, probably one of the only survivors of Triton. Yoongi and Jin both are from space stations, Yoons from Kepler, Jin from Sturgeon."

"Triton... has any progress been made on that front?" Jace asks.

"I wish I could tell you, but I don't know."

"Doesn't it piss you off?"

Jimin's taken aback by the question. "What do you mean?"

"Like... I don't know, Triton is the place that took your late Captain, right?" Jimin stays silent, averting his eyes. "Sorry, I know that's not an easy topic."

"It's okay, it's all in the past," Jimin replies, offering Jace the best smile he can muster.

Jace seems unconvinced but continues to speak. "Taehyung got saved from there too. So much death and destruction in one place. Doesn't it piss you off that there's nothing anyone has done?"

"We did something," Baekhyun replies. "We saved Taehyung. We tried."

Jace nods in understanding. "Somehow a crew of no one's did more than anyone. That's actually kind of inspiring. I see why people like you so much. The classic underdog case."

Jimin softly smiles, a real smile this time. "You think so?"

"Oh I know so. Everything seems perfect when you guys are around. Everyone seems happy." Jace pauses for a moment, offering the Captain a grateful look. "Including me." There's a few moments of silence, Jimin and Jace locking eyes and agreeing that they respect each other. After another couple seconds, there's a soft groan heard.

"Jesus, why are the lights so bright?" a female voice says.

Jimin whips around, his eyes widening as Y/N slowly wakes up. "Baby!" he exclaims, practically jumping onto her bed.

She laughs. "Careful, Min. I can barely feel my body."

"Funny, I've heard that line before," he teases, helping her sit up.

She groans as she does, shaking her head. "You're ridiculous, Mochi. I can't believe that-" She stops once she sees the other members around her.

"Did she... just call you Mochi?" Yoongi asks. Jimin and Y/N look at each other, choosing not to answer. "I knew it wasn't coochie. It had to be Mochi," Yoongi murmurs.

"Huh?" Jimin asks in disbelief.

"The party..."

"Which one, that doesn't narrow it down." Y/N snickers behind him, agreeing with Jimin's words.

"The pool party, where Hoseok and Seulgi left in the middle of it to fuck."

"Oh yeah, that one."

"She called you Mochi but somehow convinced everyone that she said coochie instead," Yoongi explains.

"I probably got too wasted, I don't remember that," Jimin says.

"Something tells me that's a common theme with him," Jace says.

"Oh it is. It definitely is," Baekhyun mumbles, shaking his head. Regardless of their comments, Jimin turns to his angel and plops down on the side of her bed, sliding in.

"Make room, my dear. Park Jimin needs to cuddle you."

"I'll never say no to that," she says, scooting over so he can slip right in.

"How are you feeling, my love?" he whisper-asks, twirling a strand of her hair.

"Like absolute shit. Care to tell me what happened?"

"Poison," Sapphire says, causing Y/N's eyes to widen.

"Poison?" she asks as if not understanding the word.

"Poison," Jimin confirms. "You were poisoned at the meeting. We don't know why or by who, but we're working that out now. I promise, Jagi. Whoever did this isn't getting away with it."

"Jimin made a Twitter, by the way," Baekhyun says.

"Is that really a priority right now?" Jimin asks with a groan.

"Kind of. Since when do you do social media?" Y/N asks.

"I got bored!" he replies with a pout and a whine.

"Yeah, he didn't have any more nerdy comic books to read to you so he played with his phone instead," Yoongi says, giving Jimin a cocky smirk.

"You were reading me comic books?" she asks, raising a brow.

Jimin's ears turn pink, him stumbling over his words. "W-Well you know, I thought to pass the time it would be cool..."

"I love it. No one's ever read me stories before." She entwines her weak hand with his. "You know how cuddly my family was, do you think my father read me bedtime stories?"

"Nope, never," Jimin replies with a giggle, pecking her lips. "I've missed you."

"I'm happy to report I'm back now. I love you," she says.

"I love you too," he whispers, keeping one hand in hers and the other on her cheek.

Yoongi sighs. "She's in the hospital, but somehow I still get the feeling we're about to watch porn..."

~22:47~

Seulgi strolls out on the rooftop, sighing to herself. After a long day, she finally gets a chance to relax. Filling out mission reports for the hundredth time gets boring. Jungkook has been helping her since Jimin isn't around (poor Y/N), but even then it's been difficult. There's still so many files to turn in on behalf of the crew. Update on the Moonchild's status, the crew's mental states, the last mission. All these things need to be checked and double checked and triple checked and so on. Like when Sapphire got shot. The armor absorbed most of the damage, but she still got a tough bruise. An injury, even a minor one, requires serious paperwork.

Of course Seulgi's at the hospital now, on the gravel of the roof, the night sky shimmering down on her. She visited Y/N, making sure she was okay. Every crew member stopped by to say hi, and now since she's conscious, everyone can relax. Just for a few minutes, maybe they can forget about the whole Martian threat. Maybe, just maybe, life can feel a little normal.

She peers down at the streets, noticing how empty they are. Everyone's still staying at the bunkers, only essentials working. Is life ever going to be the same? Seulgi can't take Hoseok to any restaurants. The only dates they can go on will have to be on the Moon. That's the only place they can get a change of setting. They can relax in the theatre, maybe eat in the dining hall, paint in the greenhouse. That's about the best they can do for now.

"When I was a kid, I was one of the most popular boys in school." Seulgi jumps at the sudden deep voice, a hint of an accent hitting her ears. She turns, surprised to see Jace standing there, but she doesn't verbally reply. He strolls forward, standing near the railing with her and gazing up at the night sky. "High school football team captain, the quarterback. Pretty basic, right? Secret was, I was a total nerd," Jace says.

"That's a secret?" Seulgi asks in disbelief.

"I know, crazy how scared I was that my friends would find out about. I thought they'd tease me, take away my things, pretend I didn't exist. Ever since, I've always been scared of showing everyone the real me."

Seulgi goes quiet for a few moments, then nods. "I agree..."

"Really?"

"I grew up thinking the job was the only priority. I thought that I didn't matter as much as anything else." Her fingers instinctively trail up and down her marked arms. "I hid what I really was." She lets out a breath, turning her arm so she can see the needle prints littering her skin. "A mess. I was an absolute mess."

"More like a disaster," Jace jokes, causing her to smile.

"You can say that again. I thought that nothing would change me, but I was wrong."

"And the crew did that for you?"

"They helped, but I made the journey myself. I just needed a push in the right direction. Jimin gave me that push."

"Really? Him?" Jace asks.

"Crazy, right? He wasn't even the Captain yet." She keeps her eyes on the stars, smiling at the memory. "During one of our first battles, we were escaping a Martian battleship. I was unconscious, about to die, but Y/N went back to save me. She got shot for me, and I didn't know. Jimin's the one who blew up with me. He set me straight. For the first time in years, I thought about something other than the mission. I thought about him. And for a split second, I saw the old me. The me who was a mess, and I wanted to shove it back down like it never existed." Seulgi hangs her head, closing her eyes. "Then I saw Y/N's body and I got a fire inside me. A fire to be new. I was so fucking determined..."

"And it worked," Jace softly replies.

She sniffles, nodding. "Yeah, hell yeah it did." Seulgi lets out a breath, opening her eyes and staring at him. "Thank you." Jace just smiles in response.

"I never had someone who understood me before," he starts, giving her a look of respect. "I... thank you. I should be the one thanking you."

"For speaking my mind?"

"No, for being the real you."

Seulgi tears up, her smile widening. "Get in here you asshole." He laughs as they briefly hug, her laughing with him. It feels nice to have someone understand her. The real, true her. Everything is amazing right now. For a moment, she feels peace.

Then, he pulls back from the hug and the peace is shattered. "We should probably head back inside, it's getting cold. Last thing I need is for Hoseok to kill me because you get sick from the weather," Jace says with a chuckle.

"You go ahead, I'm actually not that cold. I think I just need a few more minutes. I promise I'll be right down."

Jace doesn't seem convinced but he nods nonetheless. "I could bring you a hot chocolate at least?"

"I appreciate the offer, but no thank you."

"Hot chocolate is the best, you're out of your mind."

"Wouldn't be the first time I've heard that," she jokes as he smiles, giving her a small salute before completely disappearing from her view.

She sighs, turning to glance back at the stars. What a nice, wonderful night. Y/N is okay, Jimin is okay, Jungkook is okay. Seulgi keeps her arms on the railing, the wind brushing by her hair as her eyes close. Mars may be on the verge of retaliation, but at least she has this. No one can take away this moment. These moments will fade and new ones will replace them, but that's what makes moments so beautiful. Knowing they won't last forever is almost... comforting. Seulgi lets out a breath, opening her eyes.

She's not alone. She never was, and she never will be.
