~The Next Day || 12:22~
Jimin zips up his bag, sighing and looking over the apartment. This is likely the last time he'll see it for a while, maybe at all. He had a lot of fun memories here. He did spend almost a full month here after all. All those mornings with Y/N, cooking breakfast. He'll always remember how they slow danced in the kitchen on their first day. He'll always remember giving her the promise ring here. He'll always remember staying in and talking about how badly Jimin wants her.
It's kind of weird seeing the place so empty. It was never particularly full in the first place, but this isn't exactly what he was expecting either. There's no food anymore, no life. The calendar Y/N hung up is gone, and Jimin honestly misses it. She'd write down the important dates and get all giddy when they were coming up. He'll miss seeing that smile. That one smile lights up the entire apartment. He longs to see it again. Hopefully they'll move in for real one day, and he can see that smile every single day.
His own smile comes out at the thought. Him and Y/N living together? This was only a little taste. They've certainly had their ups and downs. They had a big fight, some smaller ones here and there. She got on him once or twice about picking his shirts up off the ground, and he got on her for forgetting to throw away some of her wrappers. They have their pet peeves, and that shows, but they handled it like adults. Jimin has gotten much better at controlling his anger and just talking. Calmly talking about the issue really does resolve it. Who would have thought? Oh, and rough sex. That works too.
Y/N strolls into the kitchen, glancing around with a sigh. "So, this is it, huh?"
"Yeah, guess it is."
"How are you feeling?" she asks, and he shrugs.
"The same, to be honest. I feel physically stronger, and my coordination already feels better, so maybe that drug did do something. Maybe nothing crazy yet, but enough that I feel better."
"It's noticeable?" she asks, raising a brow.
"I'd say so. I can try dancing and see if I ever run out of breath."
"Now why would you test your stamina that way when you have me instead?"
He laughs. "You do have a point."
"One last time for the road?" she asks with puppy eyes, causing him to smile.
"Nope, sorry."
She pouts. "You're no fun."
"Correction, I'm a lot of fun."
"Uh huh," she says, playfully rolling her eyes. Both of their stuff is in his bag since they didn't have a crazy amount. They've ripped a lot of their new clothes both from the constant fighting and from uh... other things, so they still don't have much in the way of clothes.
She checks her phone, humming to herself. "You have friends other than me?" he asks, bewildered.
"I'm going to pretend you didn't say that. Jungkook got a phone. He texted me."
"What'd he say?"
"He said he's starting to appreciate the smaller things in life." She purses her lips in thought, quickly texting him back. "He's right, we should appreciate the smaller things in life."
Jimin softly smiles. "Aw, that's kind of cut-"
"So I want you to know that I appreciate you, Min."
His left eye twitches. "Excuse me?" he asks, licking his lower lip.
"I appreciate you."
"Was that a short joke?"
"Maybe."
"I will fight you."
She giggles. "What are you gonna do? Nibble on my ankles?" He searches for words but can't find any. "No wonder why you're scared of heights, you can't handle anything above you. Does it trigger you?"
"Y/N, if you don't shut up I swear to God I will fuck you right on that couch til' you're seeing stars, got it?"
She blinks, staring at him for a few moments. "So I think I'm gonna keep talking now-"
He grabs her and smashes her lips against his. She lets out a muffled breath as he guides her to the couch. He pulls back, sitting and roughly grabbing her hips. "Come here," he says, bringing her onto his lap. She yelps, but he quickly kisses her again, shutting her up. She grinds down on him, and he moans at the sensation, digging his nails into her sides. He attacks her lips relentlessly, nibbling on them the way he loves to. She loves it too seeing as she nibbles right back, their tongues slowly starting to swirl over each other's.
She pulls back for a moment, giving him a questioning look. "So are you actually going to fuck me til' I'm seeing stars or are we just making out?"
He smirks, scanning her body up and down. "Don't I always make you see stars?"
She returns his smirk. "I don't remember. Why don't you show me again?" He kisses her jawline, attacking the skin and watching as she leans into his touch. He loves being in her personal space like this, licking and sucking on her skin. He attacks her jaw for a few more moments before kissing his way down to her collarbone, moving the fabric of her shirt so he has better access.
"It's almost time to go," he mutters, giving her skin one long lick that she shivers to. "But... that doesn't mean I can't mark you," he finishes, grabbing her shirt and roughly throwing it off. She gasps at the sudden coldness, but he doesn't give her any chance to speak. He leans forward and hungrily sucks on her skin. She rests her hands on his shoulders, arching her head back to give him more room. "Don't be shy, baby. Grind on me all you want," he mutter between kisses, moving across her exposed neck expertly.
At his words, she does. Y/N grinds down on him and he gasps at the sensation. He loves the little spikes of pleasure shooting up and down his body. He softly smiles at the contact, using his hands to guide her. Jimin helps her rock back and forth, her clothed entrance dancing across his bulge. She softly moans as his lips continue to work. Jimin's only brought more pleasure at the sound. He loves hearing her: the way she lets out sharp breaths when he flicks his tongue a certain way, the way she digs her fingers into his shoulders more and more with each grind, the way she arches her head back as if begging for him to mark her. He loves everything about her.
He moves down, licking over the skin of her breasts, even right over her bra. He bites at the fabric, gazing up at her. She takes a moment, then looks back, her eyes widening as he gives her one of his classic cocky smiles. He's about to unhook her bra when his comm buzzes, and he groans.
"Really?" he asks with an exasperated sigh.
"I don't think we've been interrupted since Jungkook walked in on us that one time."
"That was a long time ago. What, that was when we were just finding out about the wars and stuff, right?"
She hums. "So you know what? I'll take this interruption. Must be important."
She rolls off of him. Although he really wants to feel her body on his, he agrees. He frowns but brings the comm to his lips regardless. He presses down on the device. "Captain Park here."
"Jimin. We need to talk." Jimin glances over at Y/N, his eyes wide.
"What? Why?" he asks back, not taking his eyes off of his girl.
"I know what your girlfriend did. I need to talk to her right fucking now."
Anya.
"We're about to leave for the Rin-"
"I don't care. I'm speaking with her. Just get to the ship, I'll meet you there." The comm goes flat. Jimin stares down at it in astonishment. He turns his off and sighs.
"Well... shit," he mutters.
"How did she find out?" she asks, her voice quieter than he was expecting.
"I'm guessing Kai told her, who else knows?"
Y/N hesitates. "Is it possible Yoongi told Sapphire and Sapphire told her?" Jimin doesn't really want to consider that option, but he kind of has to. He changes the frequency on his comm and presses it again.
"Hey grandpa, you read me?" Jimin asks, listening to the static. There's a few seconds of silence.
"Yeah, why?" Yoongi answers.
"Did you tell Sapphire about Alice?"
Yoongi goes quiet. "Tell me what about Alice?" Sapphire's voice says in the background. Jimin's eyes jump open.
"There's your answer," he mutters.
"Shit, Yoons I'm sorry I didn't kno-"
"It's okay, but do I have permission to tell her now?"
Jimin nods despite him not being able to see it. "Anya knows, she deserves to know too." The comm immediately shuts off, and Jimin's left deflated. "Fucking hell, our timing is just not working out today, huh?" Y/N doesn't answer, Jimin shifting toward her. "Hey, don't worry. No matter what happens, I'll be with you."
She shakes the thought off. "Mochi, I think her and I need to talk alone."
"What? We don't know if she's on our side or not."
"If she wasn't on our side, she probably wouldn't have commed us. She would've just approached us at the shipyard to get me alone."
Jimin raises a brow, gnawing on his lower lip. "You think?"
"She's the lead researcher of Ganymede, she's smart enough to think outside the box."
Jimin finally nods albeit reluctantly. "Alright, but if anything happens to you, I'll kill her with my bare hands."
"And you'd have my permission," she replies.
Jimin stares at her for a few moments. Her pleading eyes say it all. "Come here, princess," he whispers, and she does. She sits on his lap again, wrapping her arms around him and leaning into his heat. He holds her back, letting his head fall to the crook of her neck. "Don't be scared, okay?" he asks.
"That's the thing, Min." She pulls back to look at him, bringing one hand up to his face. "I'm not."
~12:25~
"So do you want to tell me what happened to Alice?" Sapphire asks, her tone sharper than he wanted. Yoongi sighs. He's not getting out of this one. He brought her up here to ask her to be his girlfriend, but that's clearly not happening anymore. He doesn't blame Jimin; he didn't know. Plus, the truth had to get out at some point, right? It's better she hears it straight from him rather than from Kai or an outside source. Or even worse - the news.
"I just ask that you listen to everything I have to say before yelling at me. You have every right to, and I'll say I'm sorry in advance. I didn't want to hide it from you, but I didn't really have much other choice. I swear I was going to tell you as soon as I got the okay." She narrows her eyes but stays quiet anyway. He can't blame her. If Hoseok was dead and she had information on his death, let alone information this big, he'd be furious. Yoongi's surprised she isn't cursing him out yet.
"Alice... she was the one who set the Goliaths free." Sapphire's eyes bulge until he swears they'll burst free from her head. "She set the hit out on Y/N, she planned the escapes in the southern and western cities... she was behind it all."
"N-No, that can't be true. She would never hurt a fly," Sapphire says, but when she meets Yoongi's eyes, she can tell he's not lying. "Then... wait, how do you know this?" Yoongi bites his lower lip, hesitating. "You know who killed her, don't you?" He somberly nods. "Tell me. Was it Jungkook? Seulgi? Hoseok?"
"Sapphire, I would never lie to you, you know that right?" She nods. "I wasn't lying when I said I really like you, but when I tell you who did it, I can't let you hurt her."
She freezes. "Y/N."
"She's like the little sister I've always dreamed of having, and that means protecting her with my life." Sapphire takes a step back, her eyes scanning over his face before she softly smiles. "What?" he asks, confused as to why she's smiling after hearing that information.
"You just... you sound exactly like him."
"Who?"
She keeps her smile. "Jimin." Yoongi's body stiffens, but she doesn't give him a chance to question her. "I don't need to be best friends with him to know how caring he is, and you sound just like him. Just like he did on that broadcast. You're actually really sweet, you know that?"
He's still confused as hell. "Thank you, but aren't you mad?"
"Mad? I loved Alice more than..." She breaks off, sucking in a breath. "But if what you said is true? She caused those breakouts, she put the target on Y/N, she was the one who destroyed my lab and killed my people?" She pauses to scoff. "Then I hope she rots in Hell." Yoongi gazes at her in admiration, and she returns the expression. "I'll miss her dearly, and I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty confused right now. I can barely process what the fuck is going on, but I'm trying. My emotions are all over the place."
"I get what you mean."
"And that's why I like you so much. You get it, more than anyone. You're not fake: I can tell what you want to say by looking into your eyes. And that's enough to make me fall for you." His entire body freezes, his breath catching in his throat. "I know we haven't known each other too long, and we've only hung out a few times, but I'd like to explore this. You were always honest with me, you're right. Even now with Alice, knowing that the truth would hurt. You're exactly what I need in my life Min Yoongi. You really are," she whispers, and he feels tingling erupt in his stomach. His heart makes a ruckus in his ribs, his body heating up, and his vision getting cloudy. Why is he so... relieved? Happy? Is this what happiness feels like? Like he can't breathe, like all he wants to do is smile and jump up and down?
He locks eyes with her, finally not afraid of his feelings. Anything can happen, and he doesn't want to leave with regrets. Yoongi's leaving to go to the Ring in only five minutes. It's now or never. However, when he goes to speak, his words get caught in his throat. His Adam's apple bobs up and down, his tongue suddenly dry. She looks at him expectantly, but he knows he can't reply verbally. He's too shocked, too overwhelmed by emotion. He goes still at the thought. Overwhelmed by emotion? He breaks out smiling. This is the greatest day of his life. Yoongi doesn't care what happens anymore; he did it. He figured out his emotions. Yoongi storms forward, approaching her. She jumps at the sudden movement, but eventually gets what he's going for and meets him halfway.
He kisses her harshly, and she returns it. There's a neediness to them, but not the same kind at the party. At the party he was lonely and desperate. Now? He wants to show her how much he cares. Huh. Yoongi almost sounds like Hoseok and... Jimin.
He focuses on the kiss, using one hand to grab at her hip. She accepts his touch, deepening the kiss and softly smiling against his lips. He smiles back before slowly pulling away, not totally wanting to, but he has to.
"I-I'm leaving in a couple minutes," Yoongi says in a gasp.
Her demeanor changes to a more serious state, her eyes meeting his. "What is it?" she asks, her voice soft and smooth. The sound is like music to Yoongi's ears, and he can't help but shyly smile.
"I don't know when I'll be back, which is why I don't want to leave with any regrets." She gives him a patient look, urging him to keep talking. "I want to explore this too." She lets out a small breath of relief. "Will you please do the honor of being my girlfriend?"
She hugs him in response, nodding against his chest. He returns the hug after a moment, sighing. He finally knows what happiness is. His mind wanders to what she said, his heart thumping at the thought. 'You sound exactly like him...' He shivers, holding her closer on instinct. Is he like Jimin? No, he's not good enough to be like Jimin. Jimin is a strong, caring Captain. Yoongi can barely process his emotions. How can he be similar to him? That's impossible.
He thinks about it for a few more moments, comparing his words with Jimin's. They both have similar reactions to each other. Yoongi will never forget when Jimin told him he trusted him. Thinking back, that was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for Yoongi. He thinks he loves his Captain. He thinks he loves his crew. He just needs one final step to make sure. Yoons wishes he knew what that step was, but he's sure he'll find out soon enough. So, he closes his eyes and tries to enjoy the warmth Sapphire supplies. He did it. He manned up to his feelings, and even better...
He came closer to Jimin in the process.
~12:30~
"Where the hell is she? We're packing now," you say with a small huff.
Jimin shrugs. "I don't see her anywhere, then again it's a big shipyard, so maybe we should look more carefully."
"Or maybe this is a waste of time," you mumble in a grunt, grabbing the bag much to Jimin's dismay. You agreed to taking turns, and it's your turn. You'll fight him if you have to. Then again, he's pretty stubborn. Recently he's been trying to be more 'gentleman' like, in a way. Maybe that coma knocked some sense into him after all.
Speaking of the coma, Jimin seems much better since that injection. His muscles are much stronger and he seems to be in his right mind. He said he hasn't had as many headaches and episodes of dizziness, which is a lot better. Now all that's left is helping his coordination, though most of that will be him and not some drug. The drug just helped with the pain and the cell growth from what you can tell.
"Hey, how you feeling?" you can't help but ask. You were just thinking about it, so you might as well ask him.
"I'm okay, how are you?" he replies with a cheeky smile.
You roll your eyes, but you can't fight your smile. "You know that's not what I meant. I meant up there." You tap against the side of his head, and he chuckles.
"I honestly feel alright. I can walk on my own two feet even though my brain likes to think I don't have two feet, but still. It's the thought that counts."
"How's the physical therapy coming along?"
"Honestly? Not bad. It took a lot of begging to get approved for this mission, but when Kai saw my pout, he knew he couldn't hold me back."
"Of course not, I'd miss you. Will you be in running condition soon?"
"I hope so. We'll be continuing my PT even on the journey, so I'll have a full week to work on it."
"It might take longer than that, Chim."
He hums, brushing the concern away. "Oh I know, but I'm determined, don't worry."
You nod in acknowledgement, then look around some more. "Who's going where and what the hell is this ship called?" you ask, coughing when dust kicks up and hits you in the face.
He chuckles. "You, me, Kook, Tae, and grandpa will be on the Hestia, an Earth cruiser. Jin, Baek, Hoseok, and Seulgi will be on the Moon."
"The Hestia huh? Interesting..."
You could have sworn you've heard that name before. Maybe you've come across it in the studies your father made you do. It sounds Greek, like a female goddess, but you can't quite remember who. Not that it matters now, you're going on this mission to figure out what's happening in the Ring. You're sure that wormhole is more important than why a cruiser is named the Hestia of all things.
Your thoughts are broken off when a hand roughly grabs your elbow. You yelp and flinch away, pulling your elbow free in time to see Anya there. "The Hestia is packing up, we don't have much time," Anya says, an unreadable expression in her eyes. You gulp, looking back at Jimin. He nods in encouragement, causing you to relax.
"Alright, lead the way," you say, biting back your scoff. What ever happened to greeting someone with a 'hi' or an 'excuse me'? When did it resort to elbow grabbing and giving people blank expressions? Regardless, you give Jimin one last look before following her away from the crowd. "I don't want to go too far-"
"What, you think I'm going to kill you or something?" Anya asks, a small snarl in her tone.
"A little."
"Yeah, well I'm not. Get that straight. I'm not Alice, I don't kill people for an experiment." So she is on your side? Is? Isn't? Why is she so upset if she isn't going to bitch slap you? Well, maybe she'll still bitch slap you. She only said she wouldn't kill you, but dismemberment is always an option. You really don't want that to happen, but the truth is, you don't know too much about Anya.
You're dragged out of your thoughts when Anya slows to a stop. You're still in public, but far enough that your conversation is private. She turns to you, her eyes full of guilt and desperation. "What were her last words?" Well shit. That wasn't what you were expecting.
"H-Her last words?" you ask, cursing at yourself for stuttering. Anya's stare confirms your words. You think back to the events, piecing together each memory. It's difficult since so much happened that day, but you finally manage to construct a decent image. "She called me weak. Weak was her last word."
"What happened after that?"
"She went for her pistol..."
Anya steps away, biting back her tears. "She... how could she?" she asks to no one in particular.
"I'm so sorry, Anya," you try, but she shakes you off.
"Y/N, I pride myself on honesty, so I'm going to be straightforward with you, okay?" You don't disagree. "I didn't know Alice was planning something like this. I know it may be hard to believe, but I didn't suspect a thing. I really didn't. Maybe I was blinded by my feelings for her, or maybe I didn't want to believe something was wrong, but I didn't see it. She's awful for that, and I hate that I still love her b-but I can't just make my feelings disappear."
At your gaze, her shoulders slump. "I know, that makes me a terrible person for loving someone like that. I can't forgive her for what she did. And I don't know if I can forgive you either." Your left eye twitches, but you don't comment at first. Is this how Jimin felt when you got mad at him for Yeonjun? You had to kill Alice. Exactly like how he had to kill Yeonjun. "I want to, I just need a lot of time. I know you did it in self-defense and she killed your family. I'm so sorry, Y/N. I'm not mad at you, I want you to know that." You nod, unsure of what to say. "I'm a mess. I'm s-so lost. It's like I'm some high school teenager again. I don't know where I want to go, I don't know what my emotions are trying to tell me a-and... I-I..."
You interrupt her by clearing your throat. "Anya." She goes still, closing her mouth. "I'm so sorry. I wish there was something I can tell you to make it better." She sadly nods, looking down. "I'm always here for you. I know you need time, but I want you to know that too. I know we aren't exactly good friends or anything, but if you eventually want to be, I'll be waiting." She peeks up again, eyes wide. You give her the warmest smile you can muster. "And I mean that. Whatever you need, I'm here."
"You know you don't owe me, right? I won't hold it against you... what you did, I mean."
"I know, but I want to help in any way I can."
She halts, searching your eyes for fallacy. When she sees you're not lying, she lets out a breath. "Okay. Thank you, Y/N. Thank you."
"Of course. I thought we were becoming friends, and that's what friends are for."
"I'd like to be friends, but..."
"Not now."
She gives you an apologetic look. "Not now," she repeats, her voice barely above a whisper.
"It's okay, you don't have to explain. Believe it or not, Jimin and I have been in a similar situation before."
"And how did you get past it?"
The thought of Yeonjun brings tears to your eyes, but you blink them back. As much as losing him hurt, Jimin made the right choice. Not the morally right choice, but the choice that would save more lives. It was either the lives of the few or the lives of the many. Jimin chose the many.
"I forgave him," you manage to say. Before she has a chance to say anything, you give her shoulder a clap. "Good luck, Anya. I mean it." You rush away, not bothering to look back as you navigate your way through the crowd. You quickly locate Jimin, and his eyes soften upon seeing you. He instantly comes up to you. You hand him the bag you've been carrying the whole time.
"You took it just so I wouldn't leave without you, didn't you?" he asks, smirking.
You scoff. "Oh I know you'd never leave me. Not when I look like this. As if Little Jimin can resist me."
He shamelessly checks you out, licking his lower lip. "Yeah, yeah you're right." He pauses, glancing down. "What do you think, bud? Can you resist-"
"Oh come on, let's go get our tour," you say with a laugh, grateful you can laugh after the whole situation with Anya. Despite that, Jimin agrees, sharing your relief.
Without another word, you grab his hand and drag him towards the Hestia.

A/N: And so, with the poem, the Ganymede segment has ended. It's been a good run, and looking back and reading over the fluff and fun moments makes me honestly tear up.
